Honestly there's not many choices around the area besides Mcdonald's and Taco Bell.. so my family and I came here for a last resort dinner. But it wasn't too bad! Buffet was $8.50/pp, which is reasonable. We would've paid around the same at Taco Bell haha. The establishment is owned by a Chinese family (maybe the only Chinese people in the area??). An okay number of choices at the hot bar. The food wasn't packed to the brim of every tray but they did keep on refilling them little by little. There were maybe 4-5 people in the restaurant at 8pm on a Saturday night. Coconut shrimp, pepper chicken, sesame chicken, lo mein, stuffed shrimp, stuffed clams, chicken wings were all pretty decent. I stayed away from the desserts (especially ice cream) since they did not look appetizing (and that's saying something coming from me!) New China Buffet - Not too bad for a Chinese buffet - Chinese Near Me - Waterloo, New York

Alright, so this is what happens when you are starving and it is getting kinda late and you would probably eat a buffalo, you're so hungry. It's a rather small place in the middle of a strip mall with a Top's Grocery and McDonalds to the left. I definitely wouldn't recommend for a large crowd after church. The floors were dirty and that should have been my first clue as to how the entire experience would be, but like I said...hungry enough to eat a buffalo. There was old food, trash and dirt underneath our table and our table had been wiped down with a dirty rag. The food was decent but it was not fresh and had been sitting under the heat-lamps for a few hours. They had your typical Chinese dishes like sesame chicken, teriyaki chicken and coconut shrimp and egg rolls that had been bought from a store and defrosted for our tasty pleasure. The owners were as nice as you could expect and for 19.96$, we didn't entirely regret it, but we won't be back. UGH! Stay away! This place is dirty, it needs a good cleaning! Unbeknownst to me before we ate there, they've had previous serious health dept violations in the past. I wound up with food poisoning the next day almost exactly 12 hrs later! The entire day and half inti the next day I was stricken with acute attacks of abdominal pain and diarrhea. I was travelling with relatives and Toronto and we were staying in Waterloo. We were looking for dinner and they preferred Chinese. Therefore, we discovered this place and came here. The price for the selection here is reasonable: $7.99 per person. As a visitor from San Francisco, I'm used to paying a lot more for Chinese buffets but those have much more selection, so in terms of price it is decent. Many standard Chinese buffet fares are here, as well as some of the standard soups (namely hot and sour and egg flower). This is my favorite place to go in Waterloo. The people are friendly, fast and caring. They refill your drinks always and make sure the food is hot. The selection is wide and full of variety. My favorite is the coconut shrimp. My only complaint is that the ice cream bin could be improved. Sometimes freezer burnt and often the flavors are mixed. Extremely reasonable for the price they give. Recommend for your next Chinese food fix. read more

This is typical Chinese buffet food. It is good, but it isn't gourmet. No sushi. It is a small family run restaurant. We bring our family here frequently and always leave satisfied. Since Happy Family closed in Seneca falls, we have been coming here for our Chinese food fix (when we don't get Main Moon takeout). The food here is actually pretty good. During the daytime they have very good pot stickers, a cabbage dish that is not bad and, unlike Ling-Ling in Geneva, they offer a variety of meat dishes, not just chicken. The evening menu is heavy on fish and seafood and minus the pot-stickers and cabbage dish. Since we don't eat any seafood from a steam table, we mainly go here for lunch. read more
