Decent place to hold a fun team building event - about a hundred of us enjoyed it last night. I had a blast playing pool, bowling, and playing video games with new and old work friends. I came here yesterday for a party and I like how open and spacious the floor is. Everything was easy to find. I had several items there including sliders, chicken tenders, and mini pumpkin pie and cheesecake. The service was great and the staff was friendly. We did the ropes course which was very unique since I have not seen this before in most game spaces. The games were functional and responsive and towards the back is the bowling alley. Overall there is lots to do and something for everyone. I would definitely come back to play more games. read more

As usual, not enough employees. Two people at front desk to check people in, take money, get bowling shoes, walk bowlers over to bowling alley area. Long line. No employees at sky maze. so not available! They have 3 activities (bowling-cost $5 each extra for shoes, laser tag, and sky maze). I went to this "Main Event" place in Olathe thinking it was going to be a fun night out with my grandkids. I should've just stayed home and played bridge with my cat. First of all, it was so loud in there I thought I'd stumbled into a rave. Flashing lights, screaming children, and music that sounded like robots arguing. I had to take out my hearing aids just to stay sane. One of the employees offered me earplugs like that was normal. It's not. I tried to play a game with my grandson -- something with glowing basketballs -- and the machine took my $5 card and did nothing. When I told the teenage employee, he said, "Yeah, that one's been acting weird." Then why is it still ON? Are we just handing out false hope now? The bowling alley? Sticky. Every lane was full, and they told me the wait was over an hour. I've been around long enough to remember when you could just walk in and bowl. And don't get me started on the food. I ordered something called "Loaded Nachos" and got a pile of sadness. Cold cheese, stale chips, and a dollop of sour cream that looked like it had second thoughts. And do they serve coffee? Yes. If you like it served in a paper cup that smells faintly of wet socks. The grandkids had fun, I suppose. But kids will have fun in a cardboard box. That doesn't mean I'm paying $68.43 for the privilege of watching them run around while I slowly lose my will to live. Save yourself the noise, the chaos, and the overpriced mozzarella sticks. This place was an absolute joke! Bathrooms flooded and broke, waited 45 minutes for a shake. Reservations for everything was over 2 hours long. Server threw a beeper at my daughter cause she wanted a shake and had an attitude. Disgusting environment and attitudes of employees sucked. Disappointing that many arcade games are in disrepair. The game using 15 tries with ping pong balls, but only having 14. Basketballs in very poor condition. The Buck Hunter games sensors not working. We came because we had a coupon from Major Saver. Buy one get one free for $20 . I wasn't really sure how it worked but wanted to try something new. This place is conveniently close to our home and wanted to know what it was all about. We came on a Sunday and it had a good amount of people and parties going on. The service was great. We enjoyed our time there and the staff was very hospitable. We didn't eat anything here but what we saw looked good. Will definitely return to bowl and eat. Went here tonight and almost everything we seemed to do had a problem. We paid $50 for the all inclusive pass (which doesn't include arcade) and at laser tag, my gun wasn't working and i had no clue until halfway through when the attendant came and fixed it. We then went to the billiards shuffleboard and the gliders were broken. We got on the waiting list for bowling and decided to buy the 360 credits to the arcade for $68. At least half of the games we tried to play had some issue where it would take my credits but wouldn't serve their purpose. The ski ball we tried wouldn't release the balls and for some of the basketball and football games, the balls would get stuck halfway through and we couldn't play anymore. The motorcycle "throttle" didn't work once the game began so my motorcycle never moved and ended up being more wasted credits. The photo booth wasn't even working either. I must have used at least 100/360 that never actually counted for anything. Finally we went to bowl and multiple frames wouldn't register in the computer and we would have to input manually. Overall, a waste of money and if things actually worked the way they were supposed to we would come back. Pizza was good though and our server Jorden at bowling was great. read more

Leaving a review simply because the yelp reviewers are stupid. It's an advanced arcade... how could you possibly think it WOULDN'T be loud lol. It's a destination tailored to kids and adults who want to have fun; Of course it's going to be loud and flashy! Do you go to skate city and expect calm energy and regular lighting? No. So try to have realistic expectations before visiting. That being said, the food is what you would expect for an arcade, as it's not a sit down restaurant. It's good considering that the food is not the main attraction! If the service is bad, speak to a manager. Having inexperienced or disrespectful employees (at a minimum number)is not a reflection on the company or location itself as long as most of the employees are not. The last time we visited Main Event was August 2021. The customer service was subpar and they were short staffed, and overpriced. Here was our experience after this afternoon's visit: Customer Service: 8/10 The folks at the bowling counter were decent. They were overwhelmed of course because it was super busy, but they held it together. Our server for our section was very attentive, kind, and efficient. And I appreciated that he checked on our group often. I wished he kept our waters refilled, though. Food: 3/10 For a large pizza, donut holes, and a chicken wing "platter" our total was over $60. It was not worth it. The pizza was lukewarm and overcooked. Pizza Hut or Original Pizza is 100% better! The donut holes were amazing and the chicken wings had good flavor. It was not enough food for three hungry kids and two adults, honestly. Once again, shrinkflation has really impacted the amount of food for the price. You're better off eating before you come or after you leave to save your coins. Activities: 6/10 It was not a shock to me that the place was extremely busy. It's Friday during spring break so we anticipated the crowds. Please do yourself a favor and reserve your activities (especially bowling) online. We did so the night before and I am glad we did. It saves time, money, and the heartache of waiting. Otherwise, it was almost a three hour wait and the line to bowl was out the door. The arcade games were also very busy. Questionable lanes: A previous yelper said the bowling lanes are warped and curve to a certain direction based on what lane you are on and it's true. The bowling balls tend to curve toward the end of the lane before or right after hitting the pins. The gate that sweeps the pins also seemed to malfunction and was hit by a few other bowlers on other lanes, causing the ball to get stuck. Not cool. Overall: 6.5/10 It's Main Event. It's a good time but be ready to spend and do not come hungry. The thing about Main Event is there isn't a multi-event center like this in JoCo so it's always going to be crowded, especially on weekends and when school is out. I wish they would bring back the weekday specials so people won't spend hundreds for a couple hours of fun. If you're just wanting to bowl, there are other bowling places nearby that may not be as fancy but they will definitely not be as crowded and the food may be cheaper and better. read more

Our family would love to reach out and let people know that our daughter had passed suddenly and her daughter lived with us. She is 12 and was heart broken and needed to get out of the house. We took her to the Main Event by us in Olathe Ks. We had several people- Kayli Flores, Adam, Dakota,Tristin and Lalo go over and above to not only make our granddaughters time in a hard time, extremely pleasant, fun and even did everything they could to help her get a drone that she had wanted for a long time. The front desk was very helpful. Seth was able to answer all our questions. It is very lively and easy to play through games.

Most of the games don't work. The buck hunter right gun doesn't reload, the connect four basketball name, the balls get stuck and don't return causing the game to time out and take your money, the Jurassic park left gun only shoots down, the left transformers gun doesn't go past half screen unless you go completely off the left side of the screen which allows it to come back onto the right side. The pong game says you have 30 some shots and never returns the balls timing out and making you lose. I didn't find much that did work as intended. It's a waste of money to pay for things that aren't maintenance or monitored. Total waste of $60 when times are already hard. We won't return. read more

So we came to bowl and get some food and drinks for our date night. were told a server would be with us shortly, 10 min in no one had stopped by so I went and ordered a snack at the la Bella's thinking they would eventually come by. No one did the people around us even in the lane that's shared with us were helped and greeted but we were not! We were blatantly ignored and weren't even acknowledged us even when they came to check in the other side. At one point we counted over 7 workers both bowling alley attendants and it looked to be managers as well all up around us and still couldn't get someone. Played the entire hour and not once did someone come to help us. I wanted to order some drinks and deserts for us to enjoy on our date night and add more time if possible. I don't think we will be coming back. Funny enough we were thinking about having our bachelor and bachelorette parties here and now we are completely turned off by this place. This was a birthday request from the 13yr old. While I enjoy the plethora of activities, it comes at a very steep price. I found the majority of employees to be rude and dismissive. There was a particular experience while waiting for the elevated obstacle course where it took 3 of us Mothers to persuade them to attend their waiting line. The employees were simply busy chatting with each other and could've cared less about the rest of us. We stayed for several hours and refilled the playing cards twice. Played a game of very competitive bowling. Laser tagged three different times. Purchased slushees from the restaurant. Ended our visit cashing in our points in the Prize Shop. Where the price value of the items is not equivalent to the prizes available. I think we walked out with some ninja swords, I could've gotten from the Dollar Store and a squishy ball. Maybe I've been spoiled by Dave and Busters similar themed game stop, especially with a half price Wednesday to help pass the hot summer days away. This place will not be a regular stop for us. First time to this business. We will never return. Our grandchildren had a little except for so many of the machines taking card points but not working. The place was so cold, even the staff were wearing coats. The place had an overall dirtiness to it including bathrooms, floors, tables and chairs in restaurant. Food and staff were mediocre at best. Last but not least, we came down with viruses right after the visit. They should not allow sick staff members working. That and sanitizing would prevent this kind of thing somewhat. Had to come back because the first time we came they had been reserved for a private event. I wish I had known because I called the day prior and was not told that there was a private event. When I expressed that to the manager she gave me a few vouchers. So when we came back the following Sunday. We had a great time we were able to redeem the vouchers and had a great time! We visited last Friday for something to do as a family and it was an excellent time. Prior to visiting, we signed up for an email subscription, which surprised us with a coupon for a free 30 minutes of game playing in the arcade area! (The only disadvantage of the free games are no prizes could be earned but our kiddos did not care a bit) That evening we reserved a lane for bowling for an hour; and this is not just regular bowling it is honestly a lot of fun and a unique bowling experience for the whole family. There are also waiters/waitresses designated to the bowling area that will delivers food and beverages the whole time. After bowling, we of course used our free game card to play 30 minutes worth of games! I highly recommend visiting -- we will be back for sure! read more

Took my kids on a Friday during Spring Break. Got there at open. Made the mistake of purchasing the "all you can play" package for the three of us (about $60). They were understaffed and overwhelmed. Couldn''t get food (there was no server/bartender) - walked to Jason's Deli to get lunch. Played one game of laser tag which was fine. Had to then wait 90 minutes for an opening on the rope thingy. After that, asked about bowling - was quoted a three hour wait. There's no point in buying the all you can play package - you'll be lucky to get one go at each before they become overwhelmed. They should cap the number of bodies they allow in so that the things are available within a reasonable amount of time. The credits for the games are a joke - if you actually do the math everything is overpriced. read more

Do NOT go here for bowling. TL;DR: poor quality lanes, bully management. I came here to bowl, but I threw eight consecutive balls into the same gutter. I first tried to adjust my stroke--I'm not the best bowler, but I'm not as bad as that--but eventually realized the problem: these lanes are not flat. I measured it with my smartphone accelerometer and found our lane was clearly tilted to the left. (The next lane over was tilted to the right-- by 6°!) Even the waitress said she could that the lanes were visibly warped and uneven in many places. (Also, the ground under the lane was soft--it's like they just put some thin strips of plastic over a carpeted floor.) I brought this to the staff's attention and after 40 minutes of waiting around for people, I demanded a refund. However, the manager would only give me a partial refund, acting like he was doing me a favor, because the whole problem is MY fault for expecting a real bowling lane and that they're (in his words) "not a real bowling place" and didn't say they had quality lanes. I guess he forgot that the building has a big neon sign that says "BOWL" on the outside. And he tried to physically intimidate me by stalking me as I gathered our stuff to leave. (By the way, the "real" bowling places in the area charge a bit less.) I didn't expect a perfect lane--but one where all the balls didn't keep falling to the left would have been nice.
