Went to Chicken N Pickle for lunch! This place is huge with some pickleball courts, shuffleboards, and other games! Lots of seatings outdoor, indoor, and upstairs! Ordered fried pickles, chicken wings, and fries. All of them were good! Great place to hangout at!

The Holiday Hideaway at Chicken N Pickle was fun primarily because I was with a good group of people. I think the atmosphere and decor are overhyped. A lot of the seating for groups is on tired mismatched old couches and miscellaneous chairs, some of which aren't comfortable at all. It's not really conducive to conversation because the tables between the row of seats put you fairly far from your companions, and make it difficult to get into comfortable groupings. The specialty holiday drinks are $14-$15 each, with enticing descriptions if you can read the tiny type! The food menu has interesting items...I enjoyed the Wagyu burger. The too-small wait staff really hustled to keep up with everyone, and did well despite the crowded conditions they had to navigate. But considering the $10 per person 'cover charge" to reserve seating, and how far I had to park away from the building,,I would definitely pass on this pop-up next time.

Came bye fir brunch, got the junk yard Burrito 5/5 great portion sizes and full of flavor, French toast had good flavor but a little soggy 3.5/5 And the egg white wrap which was good but needed some salsa, server never brought it together but we stopped another one to get us together. If you have never been you should stop by.

I have been coming to this location since it has opened. I really love how much outdoor space there is and all of the yard game options. This can be a great place to bring groups just to have fun playing games and sharing a few appetizers. Playing Pickleball here is expensive though but, knowing how full the free courts can get, it's a good option to guarantee play time at a certain times. We have done a few of the beginner classes and those were fun as well. I have enjoyed almost all of the food items here. (The Seasonal Harvest was not my favorite). I really like the chorizo cheese dip (you will most likely need to ask for more chips though as they now only give a small plate of chips with the dip). This is a fun location to watch Chiefs games - plenty of TVs and we have never had a problem finding a spot to sit. Ordering can be a little confusing the first time you go. You order food at the counter and you can order alcoholic drinks at the bar or through a server that will occasionally stop at your table. The servers do not order food though. We will continue to return!

I will say, for date night this can get extremely expensive. But since I am always looking for ways to have a cheap but exciting date night, I hav found a way to enjoy this place but save some money! Instead of playing pickleball with only two people, we like to play bocce ball because it's $10 for a whole hour for two people! Super cheap! Plus, you can stay around the place and play pong, watch tv, or play huge jenga! I cannot speak on the pickleball because we usually don't play due to the prices. The staff has always been super generous and get the bocce stuff to us quickly! The food is pretty typical food but also on the pricey side so we like to get an appetizer to share.

I've come for several happy hour events and the atmosphere is fun with plenty of room to spread out. The noise and music is consistently too loud though...to the point where I always feel a little relieved when I exit. The cocktail menu is intriguing and the bar staff is attentive and quick to serve and also to help you checkout. Today I had a lunch special for $12.99 that included a pulled pork sandwich with my choice of side -hello sweet potato fries -and a drink. The portion was good and it was served hot. there was a decent quantity of pork and it was juicy without having too much fat. Not too saucy and the coleslaw was cold and crisp and also not overdressed.

So much fun and juicy amazing chicken! Fries are great too! Here's Julio warming up.

Delicious food and drinks. Service was attentive and the atmosphere is so festive. Sydney did an excellent job taking care of our large group that was challenging at times. Highly recommend.

Stopped on our way back and wanted to check this place out! Heard great things and it definitely was a fun place. The staff was friendly and helpful, food was yummy and the overall atmosphere was fun. We didn't get a chance to play pickleball but I'd love to go back with friends for a fun night out

Bois D'Arc boasts eight pickleball-only courts, lined specifically for the game and braced with fences to help keep games separated. The competition is open and varied in skill level and there is almost always someone looking for partners or a game of doubles. Sure, there are private spots in JoCo, but for a spot run by the municipality, Bois D'Arc is as good as needed. Courts are generally first-come, first-served, but there are leagues & tourneys that get hosted here and those are generally well-marked with time slots advertised. You can also 'reserve' courts for your own functions via the City of Lenexa web site with reasonable rates. The facilities are portalets, so that's not the best, but the courts and play equipment rate all five stars. Get outside!

Life Time Fitness is HUGE and I mean they literally have whatever you desire (Fleur-de-Lis for all of you L.A. Confidential lovers). Located in a very strategic and safe location, near a major intersection and the freeway, traffic and parking will never be an issue. But if you have to park far away, isn't that part of the workout!? Anyways I find the facility to be very clean, friendly and safe environment without to many "weirdo's" (take that how you want). First off, the showers are plentiful and well stocked with towels and they have a nice pathway to the indoor pool. I've never had to wait on a shower, typically between 5-7am. As for swimming laps in the winter, one might need to tailer their swim routine as people like me who can swim roughly 100 laps and then there's the elderly swim classes. The point is there are limitations. When spring-fall happens it's a bit easier b/c the outdoor pool offers more lanes. Next, I've never eaten at the café so I can't speak on prices, options or anything. As far as BB courts I workout really early in the morning so I can usually shoot alone but afternoons, you'll be waiting to get on the floor. I've never been to a class for things like aerobics, yoga or anything but I have had a trainer. I honestly think I was bamboozled a bit. In my ignorance I was expecting 3 or 4 sessions a week, a meal plan and several different workout options based on my desired goals. What I got was a body fat measurement via a tape measure and scale along with a musclebound dude to spot me for 3 months. No meal plan, no spreadsheet with workouts that fit me. I mean he fulfilled the spirit of the contract besides not giving me a meal plan other than "eat some berries and tuna", but not what we initially discussed. Now, I will say the greatest thing I learned was foam rolling my muscles. I will admit, I wrestled in high school and college and I've always been fit therefore I know how to workout and diet. So for many others, they may need a little more education so be sure to emphasize that in the contract. As for workout equipment, they have plenty of stair masters, nautilus machines, free weights, treadmills and so forth to accommodate a lot of people. I think out of my 4 years there I only had an issue with someone reading a newspaper on a butterfly machine and I was doing cardio line training so I didn't want my heart rate to slow down while he was reading. Other than that, it's been very good. Oh, I will mention one time I was on the treadmill and a certain Albert Pujols was on the machine next to me. He had his cap on, his gold chain was bigger than my arm, and hit leg was as big as my torso. He saw me catching a glimpse and we had a small conversation and I mentioned I didn't want to bug him. He laughed and said "I approached you, so we're good!" Class act even though I'm a Cleveland fan! In summary, I never used all the amenities offered but there are a lot. I only wanted to reference what I've taken advantage of at Life Time. I was happy with my stay there and encourage anyone who wants to improve their health to drop on by and get a free trial membership. Two thumbs up!

I still participate in many activities at OP and still enjoyed playing tennis there but now I know my decision to move was the correct one. I was a guest playing with three other members who offered to split the $12 guest fee to make it more even. When we went to pay, they said they couldn't split the guest fee so suggested that one member pay for it and then we reimburse her so that's what we did. A day later, the other three girls realized they had been charged just the court time, but I had not. Since my credit card was expired, they could not process the charges. I received an email in March for the January court time requesting an updated credit card. When I called, I am now finding out they charged me the entire $12 guest fee. Now I could go back and ask for each girl to pay me $3.00 but I don't want to do that, so I asked if OP would agree to waive this guest fee in this one instance since this was not the way we wanted to be billed. Ann in accounting said it doesn't matter how long I was a member for and that since I was not a member at the time, I owed the $12. I don't disagree with her but was hoping for a little consideration as it is only $12 and I thought my past years of membership might have some influence. I even asked for a credit to be placed on the account for a future court time but no luck. It doesn't seem like everything needs to always black and white and that there could be some leniency or exceptions to make a customer happy or even to want to come back at some time to be a member. That will not be happening with me. No, the extra $9 will not break me. It's just the principle.

The service continues to be inconsistent at best--no patio service, long waits, and a general lack of attentiveness--but what's most frustrating is the latest beverage and menu decision. You can no longer order a single glass of wine. Instead, guests are now forced into purchasing a half bottle as the minimum entry point--starting around $25--for a very limited and underwhelming selection (Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc... and that's about it). No Pinot Grigio, no variety, no flexibility. Just a forced upsell on mediocre wine in a casual, outdoor setting. Let's be clear: You can order a single beer. You can order a single cocktail. But you cannot order a single glass of wine. In 2026, that's not just outdated--it's completely out of touch. This approach eliminates choice, discourages responsible and casual consumption, and frankly alienates a large portion of your customer base. What if someone wants just one glass? What if they want to try two different wines? That experience is gone. And the reasoning doesn't hold up. If this is about waste or throughput, there are countless modern solutions--by-the-glass preservation systems, or even high-quality boxed options like Black Box Wines that maintain freshness without forcing customers into higher spend. This feels less like a thoughtful strategy and more like a blunt, revenue-driven decision that ignores the guest experience entirely. So here's the question for leadership: Who is making these menu and beverage decisions--and how does this align with the kind of experience you claim to offer? Because from a guest perspective, this isn't hospitality. It's restriction. I'd genuinely like to hear a response from the team on this. Until then, this is a complete veto for me.
