Ribeye special 16oz
Sunyoung C.

Beautiful restaurant with a large parking garage nearby. The staff was super friendly on a Friday night. It was pretty busy and seemed a bit understaffed though. Our food and checks took a very long time to get to us. We started with the bread service. Wasn't anything special, just pretty. My friend ordered the Chicken Piccata and it was very dry and hard to even cut through with a knife. I ordered the special 16oz ribeye and it was cooked right but there was no flavor. Felt like I was eating a good cut of meat without anything done to it. Overall, a bit underwhelming experience.

First time dining here, and I'm already planning my next visit. The menu is super broad--plenty of options, plus a solid drink list and a few daily specials our server filled us in on. I ordered the grilled chicken salad, and my friends had the Bill's chicken salad and the white flatbread. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and came in very generous portions. Special shoutout to the salad dressing--I usually have to ask for an extra side or two, but not here. Perfect amount right out of the gate. Our server was attentive and kind, even as we lingered and chatted for a while after finishing up. Loved the vibe and the service. Definitely coming back to explore more of the menu!

Everything about this place is amazing, the atmosphere is stunning and at night, the dim lights are perfect for any fancy event. The service was quick and let us have time to enjoy our food and not rush eating. I went for my mom's birthday. Also, we order the appetizers of the pretzel fondue, and mushroom rolls(I forgot the name). They were so good! This place is perfect for any fancy event were you know the food is going to slap!

Cornmeal Crusted Trout

There was a very large group of us gathered for a corporate event. The restaurant is located in the busy highly developed Lenexa shopping district. Plenty of parking around the area including a garage. We were seated in a private room. The acoustics were very good, although our group can be quite loud once the Jordan wines and mixed drinks start flowing. We all shared a variety of appetizers including a tuna tartare (someone made the comment of getting fish over 1500 miles from an ocean). Of course, I know they ship the seafood fresh and frozen overnight quite frequently which is why I chose to order the cornmeal crusted trout. It was delicous topped with avocado and crab over easterling potatoes. Our service was very good for a group of over 15. I didn't have to pay the bill which made it even better.

Two trips in a row Grand Street has absolutely delivered! We had a few of us and the service was great! I've been really impressed with the specials. Last time there was a great surf and turf. The meals have always been prepared well, and the servings aren't obnoxiously large, they are right sized! I can't wait to get back! Great service, great food!

This was my first time at the Lenexa location and it had a great ambiance with the industrial ceilings and contemporary decoration interior decoration. We came in on a Wednesday around 5pm for an early birthday dinner. The bar are was full and the dining area started filling up throughout the dinner. As soon as we sat down, our waitress was attentive and kind to explain the menu and daily specials. The highlight of the dinner for me was the in house honey mustard! We really enjoyed the grand burger and were satisfied with the prices for most of the menu items. I think this is a great spot to meet up for lunch with friends or happy hour!

Still one of my modern day restaurants in the Plaza Area. Ambiance, Service and Food is phenomenal. Joely was great and did a phenomenal job, she is a true professional.

It's been awhile since we've been into Grand Street, but my husband and I stopped in for an impromptu lunch date. It's a nice location. Open, airy, "grand" feeling. Great spot for a date or casual get together. The host today and our server were welcoming and professional. We started with the tuna tartare. The tuna tartare stack itself was good (and the most important part), but my husband and I both agreed the pool of soy(?) sauce it was in was too much. Would've been a better drizzle or even side dip. I also personally wasn't a fan of the sesame chips. I ordered the Bill's Chicken Salad which is always good imo. My husband ordered the GS Stack. He was under the impression it would be a sandwich, but as the name implies, it was sliced sirloin mushrooms and onions stacked on bread. It was still tasty though. He also got the pastrami and vegetable soup which he didn't care for. Also to note, it's not a coffee joint obviously, but my vanilla latte was great.

We love the music on Sunday afternoons, and the food trucks/bands during the weekend. We love events like cookie decorating and pumpkin carving that they host! I appreciate that they give back to the community (Sundays with a "Pourpus" where part of each beer purchase is donated to a local charity for example), we adopted a puppy on one of those days! We've been coming since they opened and it's been really fun to see how they've grown in the last several years!

But you're coming for the beer, and the beer is really great. Limitless has gone from a location in a light office park to its own standalone building, complete with patio and plenty of space. There are generally half a dozen or more of their own craft brews on tap ranging from IPA through porter/stout. You may have even had some of their flagship beers elsewhere, such as JoCo Juice, a hazy IPA or Rolling in the Deep, a double New England IPA. I myself go for malt over hop, so I find their Marzen to be one of my favorite beers. If they have their Mexican lager on tap, then I also suggest sampling that as well. A flight of four runs you $14-ish and is a great value, as the sample sizes give you plenty of opportunity to really get a feel for their offerings. If you find something you really like, then you can take four-packs home to go in cans. Limitless is open almost every day, at least until 7:00 and when the weather is nice, the patio was a must do. There are frequently people playing a board game or just enjoying the space, and while I don't want this to be just another noisy space, they could do with maybe a TV or two more. But that is just me being picky and since they are in the neighborhood, I like visiting whenever I can.

The place was fairly crowded and noisy at 6pm on a Saturday. The drinks were priced well and our waitress was awesome. We ordered a side of fries to get some food in our belly and we certainly won't make that mistake again - processed mashed potatoes formed into fat spiral shapes are not French Fries!!! My only complaint. After the concert we crossed back over the tracks and paid $5 cover charge for more drinks and to listen to Dating Sarah - fantastic cover band that had the place rocking at 10pm. We stayed for 2 sets and had a great time. I really liked the old school dive bar vibe in an old building that seemed out of place for Johnson County's upper middle class suburban aesthetic. A repeat return for all my future Green Guitar events and maybe some pizza next time - and for the love of god Jerry, get a new french fry distributor.

Decided to visit Brewbakers because I wanted a good lunch and a solid drink on this Saturday…read moreafternoon. I saw they had $4 vodka Red Bulls, and that solidified my want to come here even more. I didn't order an appetizer because I wanted to get straight to the food. I went with the Fried Clucker and a side of waffle fries. This sandwich was unbelievable huge..smothered in their house sauce, which tasted like a milder version of buffalo sauce. I thought the flavor was good, but the fried skin was falling off the chicken. Every time I cut a piece, the breading would just slide right off. Maybe they need to brine the chicken better to help it stick more but it was no biggie, it still had a good flavor. My boyfriend ordered the chicken-fried chicken, and honestly... nothing too special about it. The mashed potatoes that came with it were flavorless at first, but once we added salt and pepper, they were tasty. Now, I get that this is a bar and grill, so I'm not trying to be overly critical or nit-picky but in that category, Brewbakers definitely ranks on the higher end. This is hands down the best bar and grill I've tried when it comes to food. They even serve Jambalaya here.. what kind of bar and grill do you ever see serving this?? Would I come back? Of course!
