Anatra- duck breast was good, didn't like the brandied cherries tho. it didn't balance well with the duck breast. good service and good ambiance

Great Paloma!

Service was excellent all around, from the host, to the bar, to the table! Drinks were good. Food was good. The Bolognese was our favorite. Pesto was too garlicky for my taste. I also really loved the bread and the oil, and the sauces that came with it.

Not closing-- new landlord. Service and menu options stellar! Split a Caesar salad-- large portions-- yum! My duck breast was seared and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend (if offered).

Everything was amazing! The food was delicious, the servers was amazing, the ambiance was on point! Loved this place and I will be back!

Endless pasta trio

Lidia's has been on my list for a while! Their $40 three course dinner during restaurant week finally got me in the door. Love the vibe of the old freight house. Service was prompt and friendly. Food was good, but classic Italian, nothing that was mind blowing. Overall, enjoyed my experience, more so for the feel, service, and company rather than the food.

Massive, beautiful restaurant. Keep your receipt so you can park for free in the parking lot behind the restaurant. Very friendly and service from the waitress to the staff bussing tables. We participated in the pasta of the day trio and it did not disappoint! Ended with a berry strudel and espresso martini. We look forward to coming back and trying more entrees!

Our son took us to Lidia's while we were visiting and it was worth the 815 reservation! The building is a warm, cozy feel for a large space. The wood and stone give it cottage vibes. We all had the pasta trio which changes daily and it was fabulous! It came with salad and dessert! Fresh, made in house pasta and you could taste it in every bite!

I had a great experience at Lidia's! I stopped in with a friend on a busy Saturday evening - we opted to sit at the bar instead of getting on the wait list, and right off the bat, service was excellent and extremely attentive. We ordered mocktails (delicious, very well done) and started the night off with some arancini. My goodness, these were INCREDIBLE. I couldn't tell you how they produce such a bright, vibrant lemon flavor in each bite, but it was absolutely delicious. We both opted for the daily pasta tasting menu for dinner, and were equally impressed with the dishes and the service as the pasta arrived. Come hungry as the pasta servings are quite generous and you will want to savor every bite. The space itself is spacious, beautiful, and the perfect setting for a date night or a special dinner. I will definitely be visiting again.

Banana ice cream, berry sorbet, & chocolate ice cream trio

While they can accommodate a large group (we had 11), they are not the most group-friendly place. However, they clearly state on their website that they won't do more than 3 checks per table & if you have more than 6 people you only get 1 check so as long as you have those expectations, you can make it work. The service was great. The waitress was great & very friendly/knowledgeable, & there are several other employees who run around filling water, delivering food, clearing plates, etc. so you're never sitting there unattended. The deal of $39 for salad, unlimited pasta trio, & dessert is great. The pasta can also be made vegetarian to accommodate which is appreciated. However, the flavor of the pasta fell a little flat. While nothing was necessarily "bad", consensus was that it was a little bit boring & lacking interest. However, as someone with a plain palate I didn't mind this. One person in our party preferred their meat be cooked well done due to religious preferences & the restaurant was able to accommodate & they said it was quite delicious. The ice cream trio I chose for dessert was elegant & beautifully plated - see photo. While I didn't care for the banana flavored ice cream, I appreciated the variety of ice cream flavors. All in all this isn't a restaurant you'd go to every week (a little steep price wise), but would be great for a special or fancy occasion.

It's been a while since I've been here. We're in the area and decided to stop in for dinner. No reservations and they were packed. We got lucky and got to seated at a table in the bar area. Inside the restaurant is very beautiful. They have a huge glass chandelier in the middle of the dining room. I ordered a salad to start off and eggplant parmigiana for my entree while my friend ordered their traditional lasagna. We can't go wrong with those dishes. Waitress brought out bread with olive oil spread while we wait for our meal. It was delicious. My eggplant parmigiana was also great. I think the sauce made the dish and was as expected for an Italian dish. I sampled the lasagna, it was okay but won't say it's my favorite. The sauce was not a traditional red meat sauce. Overall, it was a nice dining experience. Priced a little high but as expected for an upscale dining experience.

The service was the absolute highlight of our night -- from our awesome waiter to the men who served our unlimited pasta. Buen provecho! Our waiter was truly a gem. He kept all of our tea glasses and waters full and checked on us just the right amount. His attention to us was incredible and his recommendations were flawless. The $39 unlimited pasta with Caesar salad and dessert (I got tiramisu) was absolutely insane. I don't even know what I was eating but it was delicious. The focaccia was incredible and the olive spreads were amazing. I loved the attention we got from the moment we walked into our reservation. The restaurant was super clean and I was delighted to be able to walk to this restaurant. Would strongly recommend!

"Roasted" beet salad, spaghetti squash with shrimp
Danielle M.

Underwhelming, especially for the price. This is a local favorite and has been recommended to me several times, but perhaps they are coasting on their reputation... I was excited that the menu had GF dishes clearly marked, that is such a help for diners such as myself. The dips were served with GF crackers, which I sincerely appreciated, but neither the dips nor the crackers were especially interesting. I had the "roasted" beet salad, which was just okay, I have had much better versions of this elsewhere (though the hazelnuts were a very nice touch). For the entree, I had spaghetti squash with shrimp. The squash was undercooked imo (though many people like pasta al dente, maybe that was the vibe they were going for) and the texture was off-putting, with several clumps of squash, detracting from the sense of it as a pasta substitute, and the shrimp were a bit tough. My dining companion had chicken piccata (the chicken had not been pounded, it was a full breast; not surprisingly, it was dry). The service was adequate, but far from doting on a quiet Monday night. I wouldn't return.

Better late than never, so they say. I was here when Lidia was doing a book signing and they were offering a prefix menu. I had the Sunday sauce and my husband had the pasta tasting trio. I want to start off by saying the olive oil as an opener gave me much anticipation, I'm generally not into olive oil and it was one of the best olive oils I've had with table bread. For the antipasti, my favorite were the tuna stuffed peppers. The tangy peppers made an interesting mix with the tuna, and the arancini were crispy on the outside and chewy inside, which was nice. The Sunday sauce was really good, from the sauce to the meatballs and sausages. However, the pork shoulder was a little dry for my taste. The pasta trio was unlimited and my husband had two servings. I don't know exactly which ones they were, but all of them were delicious. We will definitely be back!

Ask the Community - Lidia's

Is it casual dress?

I would recommend something a little bit of a step up from jeans! The tables do have table cloths & the serving staff are all professionally dressed so why not dress a little nicer for the occasion 😊

Is Lidia's still serving brunch on Saturdays and Sundays (don't see that reflected on the website)?

We do not offer brunch service any longer. Open 7 nights a week for dinner only.

What is the wait time with no reservations?

It's not usually longer than 20 minutes. But it depends on the time of day and day of the week. I'd say on a weekend at peak hours you could be looking at 45 minutes.

Do we have gluten free Pasta?

It wasn't mentioned as an option in the menu

It really threw off the vibe. I was seated right away, and my waiter, Chris, was friendly. He walked me through their extensive menu of wines and even recommended a few. I decided to try a sweet wine flight, and he tried to warn me that it was very sweet, but I didn't listen. The flight was super sweet. There wasn't a single one that I enjoyed. Chris did recommend another wine, Fragolino, and I loved it. I could've drank it all day. I wanted a bottle of it to go, but sadly, they were out. Hopefully, when I return, it will be in stock. Next visit, I'll go with something not so sweet.

Our server was super chill and helpful at suggesting wines. We didn't get any food since we were heading to eat afterwards. But the menu looked like it was pretty decent. We'll definitely have to come back to try it. I really enjoyed that the owner was there and working. The extra care for the company shows in how well it's kept! Overall, I definitely suggest you check it out. Super cute for a quick date night like we did, a girls night or just to check it out.

The dining room is small and cozy, and it has that welcoming neighborhood feel where it seems like everyone knows each other. Reservations are definitely recommended. On our first visit, we ordered carryout. The Roasted Goat Cheese (baked goat cheese with red sauce and oregano) had great flavor, though the crostini was missing from the order. The Lasagna Bolognese was outstanding -- easily some of the best I've ever had. Rich, perfectly layered, and full of flavor with the bolognese, parmesan béchamel, red sauce, and mozzarella. For dessert, the Limoncello Cake was bright and delicious, and the NY-style salted caramel cheesecake was dense and so good. We were impressed enough that we went back -- this time with reservations -- and dined in. On our return visit, we had the Swordfish with lemon caper butter, sautéed greens, and rosemary potatoes. It was cooked perfectly, with bright, balanced flavors and generous portions. We ordered the Lasagna Bolognese again (it's that good), and it did not disappoint. For dessert, we tried the Tiramisu, and it was hands down the best I've ever had. The imported cookies, mascarpone, espresso, and cocoa were perfectly balanced -- light, flavorful, and not overly sweet. The service was excellent, the portions were large, and the flavors were spot on across the board. What started as a convenient spot near our hotel turned into a place we'd absolutely go out of our way to visit again. Ragazza truly lives up to its reputation as a local gem.

As part of a birthday party, we joined some friends at Amigoni for the first stop, and we all loved the ambiance (stunning, calm, lovely staff) so much that we stayed over 3 hours! We sat in the back bar/barrel room area (back bar was closed that day), but it was a great space for a larger group to be able to spread out and not take up all the space in the front bar area. The barrels gave the room a cozy feel! I'm a fan of wine, but a lot of our friends are not huge wine drinkers--so while they have a lot of great wine to taste (I'll get to that soon!), they also have local drafts and non alcoholic options for your friends/family members who aren't into wine or who don't drink. For their wines, when I went on a Saturday they had two wine flight options, which the staff said they change about every two weeks! I got the basic flight to get a better idea of their standard wines, and I wasn't disappointed with any of them--and as others have noted, they are pretty heavy with their tasting pours, just FYI! I was able to try the Urban White Blend (chardonnay and viognier), Cabernet Franc Rose (one of their original makes from the early days), Sangiovese, Zinfandel, and the Select (petit verdot and tannat). All were lovely and delicious! Thanks to everyone at Amigoni Winery who made the birthday celebration special, cozy, and delightful! Can't wait to go back and enjoy more wines next time!
