I was in the area and stumbled upon this cute little spot. It happened to be open so I went inside. I loved all the plants and the decor. The space is smallish but they do have bar seating in addition to seating throughout. The service was friendly and the drinks were great. They don't offer food, but they do offer cocktails, beer, wine, and mocktails. I went on a Sunday and they have a special menu called "Almost Monday." It's a smaller, simpler cocktail menu and the prices are very fair compared to other cocktail spots. I tried the Caipirinha (pineapple) and the Negroni sour. Both were good. My favorite between the two was the Negroni. It had a pretty color and wasn't too sour or strong. I'd def recommend it and get it again. Stopped by Wild Child after a nice dinner out in Kansas City. We were just looking for a nearby bar, but wow did this surprise us. When you arrive there is parallel parking available outside the bar. When you walk in you'll feel like your bright, vibrant, and feels incredibly welcoming. Also, they have some really fun drinks as well that have been thoughtfully put together. We ended up sitting at the bar and I started with the Reformed Porn Star (vanilla vodka, bronson's tropical milk punch, passion fruit, Prosecco, citric acid and popping boba) which was by far my favorite drink and felt like I could have drank a couple more of these. Second I tried the Neo Cosmo (white rum, strawberry, cacao, coconut, rose hip, lime, bubble) which was good and was a fun drink with an ice cream shaped cup and a bubble on the top (meant to look like an ice cream cone). If you are in the area, this bar is a must try, the bartenders were awesome and took good care of us. Stopped by Wild Child for flight night! I love that they have reservations so you are guaranteed to get in, but we didn't need them when we arrived on a Tuesday early evening. They offer 4 flight options. I got the martini flight and my husband got the old fashioned flight. I LOVED all of my drinks. Some of the most creative and fun drinks in the city! Very fun date night with lots of other food places nearby as well. Ambiance is beautiful with lots of greenery and different types of sitting areas. Server was hilarious and very chill. My only selfish request would be to not be that group that comes in looking to brewery hop (there are lots of nearby breweries). Midway through our date a big group of mostly men came in to drink a bunch of beer very loudly on their way to the next bar. Part of the fun was watching the drinking being made. The menu is both great and challenging because I wanted to try so many of the options. Wild Child has officially set the bar for non-alcoholic craft mocktails in Kansas City. This is hands down the most thoughtful, creative, and well-executed NA menu I've experienced in the city. The NA espresso martini is phenomenal. Espresso-forward and creamy, it genuinely tastes like a real espresso martini. As someone who usually avoids NA versions of classic cocktails, this one completely changed my mind. I also tried the Absinthe Swizzle, which was fruity, pineapple-forward, and incredibly refreshing. The de-alcoholized absinthe actually comes through in a way that feels intentional and balanced. The Lemongrass Cooler was another highlight -- light, bubbly, refreshing, and reminiscent of a gin and tonic style drink without trying to imitate alcohol too closely. Beyond the drinks, the bartenders are exceptional. They were attentive, welcoming, and truly knowledgeable about both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic menus. I was even offered a small sample of an NA Negroni, which was such a kind and thoughtful touch. You can tell they genuinely care about hospitality and about making everyone feel included, regardless of what they're drinking. Wild Child has absolutely earned its spot as my #1 place in KC for NA craft mocktails. A great little spot. A friend and I stopped by here after hearing about them in the area. We had little to no expectations about what we would receive here. I started by just going to my old standby the Old Fashioned. It was tasty and the mixologist (THESE people get to claim that term over Bartender) was kind enough to reduce its sweetness per my request. Not only did he then inquire after it was mixed but offered that if it wasn't exactly as I liked it he could/would add some more bitters to offset. If still not what I liked he would just make me something else! Floored by the service already... so we stuck around and tried several more. There are a lot of cocktail options here too. A huge fan of Drastic Measures, so I knew this place would not disappoint. And I loved that they would be focusing on NA. I didn't even have to look at the menu, I've known that I've wanted the ube daquiri for weeks. It was tart, refreshing, mild ube, and perfect. Mezcal espresso martini was also amazing, and might be the best espresso martini in all of KC. Get a reservation if you plan on coming here especially with more than 2 people. It gets busy fast and there aren't a lot of tables. Not the best place to talk since it can get pretty loud in the small space. However the decor is really pretty with plants and nice tables. I came on Wednesday 7:30pm and thankfully they had a no-show for a reservation so we got it. Later in the night, it definitely cleared out, but I'm sure weekends are packs all night. I mainly came to try the non-alcoholic drinks. I got the lacto strawberry. It was super refreshing and not overwhelmingly sweet. My husband wanted to try their specialty carbonated cocktails but nothing fruity so he ordered the vegetal. Super creative concept but would not recommend it to non adventurous people. The bell pepper and celery flavor are quite strong so he had to get a different drink. Ordered the vibrant. Was significantly better but was quite tart (maybe the tomato?) So he couldn't drink it fast and ended up not finishing it since the tart was making his stomach hurt. Overall loved my non alcoholic drink, but prob would stay away from the carbonated cocktails. They have a lot of pretty drinks, especially with shaved ice. Would consider going again to try more but wouldn't go out of my way to come back. read more

The atmosphere of this cocktail bar is so cute and I prefer it their sibling Drastic Measures next door. I tried the Lacto Strawberry Spritz and the Up & At 'Em mocktails and they were overwhelmingly sour. I didn't expect the lactic acid macerated strawberries or the malic acid to be so overpowering. I couldn't finish the Up & At 'Em so they kindly knocked it off my bill, which I really appreciated. My friends thought the alcoholic drinks were great. On my most recent visit, we went for the cocktail menu, and I enjoyed the Umami Mami, the Long Shoreman, and my friend's Coldest Martini (I do not usually enjoy martinis but WOW was it cold and crisp and delicious). Fun fact: They don't have a food license, and they allow you to BYO nibbles! I saw on the news this place made National list as top cocktail and wine bar in the country and wanted to check them out since they are right here in our hometown. Reservations is a must. This place is always full. I would say this building seats about 50 people at the most. We were lucky to get in for half an hour for one drink in between reservations. The atmosphere has an old vintage, nostalgia lounge feel to it. Plants line the front window. Old vintage lighting hang above the ceiling. We ordered one drink. One of the best cocktail around. It's bold in taste. They just don't mix alcohol with juices. There are other essence to the drink that makes them unique. For instance, one of the drink we ordered has Turmeric as one of the ingredients. Who knew to use that in a cocktail drink. We really enjoyed our drink and will be back to try the others.
