I showed my ID for Shawnee residence proof and then paid. I got one life jacket for one child. We got there around 11 AM and I believe they open at 10:30 AM. Unfortunately, all of the chairs that had umbrellas were taken by that time. The only reason I give it a four star is because they don't have enough chairs or umbrellas. Everything was clean and in good working order and they had a nice set up for the smaller kids. This pool is primarily for kids 12 and under or maybe even 10 and under. I did have a 12-year-old with me and she prefers the other Shawnee pool which is for older kids, but she still had fun. The lifeguards were excellent. They were always on point watching the small children and never strayed from that. They were actually much better than the larger pool and Shawnee that I went to several weeks ago. The only thing I didn't quite understand was that there was an area roped off for "swimming lessons" but I think it was really parents trying to teach their kids to swim, not any professional instructor. I was bringing my two year-old grandson into that pole and the life guard told me I couldn't do it because it was swimming lessons and it ends at 12:30. So maybe it was because he did not have a floaty on and I was holding him and that's why he didn't allow it because like I said it was just parents teaching their kids. So we just got out and enjoy the rest of the other area. In the future, I would go more around 2 PM or 3 PM. I do believe this pool closes at 6 PM which is about two hours earlier than the main pool. I didn't take photos because there were kids in every area and I don't feel comfortable taking photos of children that are in their bathing suits. For a person like myself who is big on cleanliness the bathroom would be 4/10 as I can only think about how many people got back in the pool after not being able to wash their hands after using the bathroom. Also, seating was limited. There were lots of people just using chairs to store their items while in the water. So for people who had babies that needed to sit and feed them etc that was limited. At the Lenexa location, there is plenty of seating where you can keep an eye on your kiddos while they play if you want. Or you can go back into a little nook, and read a book, use your laptop (They have guest wifi) or watch TV on one of the TVs in that area. Highly recommend Urban Air in general, and furthermore recommend the Lenexa location over the Overland Park one. Pro Tip, if you live in the area, and go at least once a month, its so much better to just buy a monthly pass. You get a better deal than if you purchase 1 single night ticket. With the level of season pass we have, it comes with a slice of pizza every night, and a bag of popcorn. It makes it so much easier for me to take my kiddo, she can grab some food to tide her over until we get home to eat dinner and its fairly inexpensive for what you get.

Comes over to tell us we have the wrong color wristband on. I explain this is what we were given and we have already ridden rides with it. They say supervisor will not allow us to ride, we have to get new updated bands. Trek back to the photo booth at the end of Mamba to get new bands, trek back up. This was one of the better rides in the park and a favorite from when I was a kid. Rides we rode and thoughts: 1. Cyclone Sam's- no fast pass but can hold a lot of people. Appreciated the a/c 2. Flying dutchman. Only rode since there was no line and appreciated the breeze 3. Fury of the Nile-was closed at the beginning of the day, opened. Appreciated it had fast pass. Please get the poor employees who work down there some shade. I felt so sorry for them. 4. Le Taxi Tour-says on their website has fast pass. it does not. Can take a while since families will have 10 different cars so every person in the family can "drive" 5. Mamba-see above 6. Patriot-had fast pass. Best ride there 7. Prowler-had fast pass. Pretty rough 8. Spinning dragons- has fast pass but you have to buy it? Band you buy for the day does not include it. LAME 9. Timberwolf - on their website says it is on fast pass but they do not have fast pass. ride closed while we were in line. Sad as this ride was around from when I was a kid and I wanted my kid to ride it. 10. Viking Voyager-had FP, used it, didn't need it. Was different than I remember it as a kid. Didn't get wet. 11. Zambezi Zinger-different than when I was kid. It was a good ride. Rides that were closed: 1. Skyliner- this is a ferris wheel 2. Steel Hawk-swings 3. Bamboozler- I wanted to ride for memories, kidlet said no, too similar to ride where we live 3. Detonator-it is so small. Like why is the tower so tall but the ride only goes up a small height? Nordic Chaser Kidlet tried to get an icee but it took over 30 minutes because people kept cutting them in line. Found another icee place and got an icee. Kidlet said person working there was basically giving them to everyone for free. Did not eat at this park. Had up close parking and when I told the person they sent me to the same lot everyone else is parking in. This way the sky, turning pink under the buildings would provide a beautiful view. KC Wheel didn't disappoint. You enter and the tram is comfortable, climate controlled and clean. The view from the top is beautiful. You do have to look to your left. If you look in front, the moving cars on I-35 will make you dizzy. It goes around atleast 3 times, giving many chances to view the city. The view with the sunset was fantastic. Yep, Ferris wheels are a lot different than when my mom was a child. I was, once again, pleased with KCWheel. I believe it's a must-see in KC. Plus: The Tuesday special is two for one.

When I tried to use my vouchers later, they refused to honor them. Even worse, the operators openly admitted that they continue to sell Groupon vouchers during the winter to "boost sales," fully knowing they're closed and that customers can't use them. That's deceptive and unethical. Bottom line: This company hides behind Groupon to take your money and then refuses to stand behind their product. Avoid them entirely -- don't fall into the same trap I did!

Even with machines not in the best condition I found ways to enjoy myself. When I found a game that wasn't working as intended, I enjoyed looking for what was different about it, then looking for a different way to enjoy the experience. Understanding and being patient with people is important to me. This business is ran by people. I understand that people want to do good and try their best. I know people need the care and attention so they can know what is good and right. Another way I was able to enjoy my visit despite the state of machines is to look for more than one perspective. First perspective for the broken machines is that the staff doesn't care about fixing anything. I refuse to stop there so I look for another perspective. After about an hour the kitchen opened and we were able to order our pizza. While we waited the 30 minutes for it we played a few games. One entire soda machine was out of service and it was the one with the diet soda options. The tables were dirty as well as the floor, which was surprising since it had just opened. Employees were either on their phones or chatting with other employees A few of the machines did not function properly, but when I told the girl at the front desk, she credited me back. The building appears to be aging and not well maintained. We left after two hours.
