We have family in the Kansas City area, and we were in town visiting and looking for something fun to do with our grandkids. We decided to take them to Park Lanes to bowl. The place has a very fun vibe, and the kids had a great time. The screen above the scoring table has fun filters that give everyone funny faces, which they really got a kick out of. If I had to pick one thing that I would like to see change, I would say that the facility could do with some updating. Other than that, it's a great place to take kids, and we really enjoyed ourselves.

Been coming here for years!!! Great place to bowl with kids.. Haven't done the league nights but usually always have a good time. Food and Drinks are a bit pricey for a bowling alley. Balls and shoes are decent and for the most part taken care of. Arcade is fun for kids. 4 star is due to staff can be hit or miss on personalities and friendliness...

First off, I need to say 1) I'm not a bowler and 2) I was here for a kid's party, but was not the planner of the event. So my review is based off of no bowling knowledge and as a party guest who didn't have to deal with making the party reservations. So I've been to lots of bowling alleys for kid birthday parties in the past and this is by far the nicest one. The kids had a great time. The staff and the other patrons didn't appear to scoff at the idea of being next to a pack of kids being over excited to bowl. Let's be honest, some bowling alleys don't appear to enjoy hosting kid parties, so this was a welcome change! The place was super clean and updated looking. In addition to bowling they have an arcade and laser tag area. They've got a huge menu for their snack bar and a full bar. They've also got a VIP bowling area that's walled off from the rest of the place. It appears swankier seating and lanes, bigger TVs, glow lighting, etc. Think night club meets galaxy bowl night and you can picture it. The staff was all very friendly and helpful getting the kids their shoes, balls, and serving the food. They also brought over these cute little dinosaur ramps to help the littler kids roll the ball down the lane. Based on tonight's experience I'd take my kids back for an afternoon of bowling and arcade games.

Good place to entertain the kids for a while. If you don't have a reservations waiting can be long. The place needs some updating. Food is not the best but is not expensive. An ok experience.

I've participated in league and open bowling in this facility. The front counter staff seems to be pretty nice. My biggest complaint would have to be that if you go the morning after a rock n Bowl session expect the approaches to be a bit dirty. I really do enjoy bowling here because the shot is always different. One of my favorite things about this facility is if you are unhappy with either the cleanliness of your table or the lanes if you talk to management they are very good about getting on top of any issues. Even though the lanes may be a bit dirty on Sunday mornings I would have to say this is my favorite time to go practice on open lanes. They have a great three games special that makes it pocketbook friendly.

Rented the VIP area and it was perfect. Ty erected was plenty of room and everyone ( no matter what age) had a great time bowling.

Bowling is fine, but the place smells like raw sewage. It might be time to treat the drains and call a plumber.

At park lanes again. Lanes shut off dozens of times and wouldn't let us get hot. Would not recommend to serious bowlers.

Used to be an AMF back in the day and you can see a lot of the remnants of it both inside and out. Customer service wasn't the greatest. The man up front, I believe his name was Doug seemed very reluctant to help us. When we arrived he was more concerned about a broken lane and told us to wait and that he'll be right back. There was also a couple of people who spoke directly at him including a woman who just wanted to say thank you on her way out and he just ignored them both. As far as the place itself, It's pretty easy to find your way around but not a fan of how the bowling balls are sorted. You pretty much have to go to other unoccupied lanes to search for a ball if your lane doesn't have what you're looking for. Wasn't a huge fan of the red ambiance either. I only bowled the one game but I'm not sure I could stay here for several hours under the red lights. Just doesn't feel too inviting.

It's definitely been redone since the last time that I've been in. It smelled clean and fresh as well. The kids were able to get a smaller ball at the front desk and if they were under the counter height, they were able to use the bumpers. Not sure why they are such a stickler on if you are taller you can't (I have TALL kids). We were able to bowl for two hours, but the balls kept getting stuck and we would have to call up to have them to have them push them through. We wasted a lot of time waiting on this to happen that we didn't even get through 2 entire games.

The day we were there, it felt like all bowling alleys used to feel. They have a family deal midday on the weekends, which comes to around $50 for up to six, and includes shoe rental. Pretty fair for what it offers, IMO. It was busy with birthday parties around us, but we were lucky to get a lane. There appears to be a wait during peak times. My youngest is four and we were taking bets on the side if she could get the ball down to the pins. It was super slo-mo, but discouraging for her. Fortunately they have these little ramps in the shape of a dragon where she can place the ball and send it, like it's going down a slide. Nice touch, and got her back into it. My youngest is 8 and she loved it. We loved that we could set up bumpers just for their turns, although I could've used them as I got going, that's for sure. All in all, an hour and a half or so of fun. The staff was so friendly. At one point I noticed I was full of requests; can you put the KU game on? Can we get one of those small kid ramp things? We you add bumpers for these two? Can I get a pitcher of water? Literally each request was met with kindness and a sense of good service. If you want to get the kids out of the house and do something fun, take a trip down memory lane and head over to Ward Parkway Lanes.

We hosted our child's birthday party here, and overall it was a hit with the kids. The party packages include a private party room, pizza, pop, and wristbands for 12 guests. The wristbands give kids access to nearly all attractions (everything except the arcade games) for a total of three hours, which is a great value. Each party room also comes with a party host who shows you to the room and brings in the food. That said, once we were settled, there wasn't much guidance beyond that. It would really help if they provided a clearer layout or checklist of what to expect. We weren't sure: When or where to collect our party wristbands How to have guests sign waivers for their kids Where to find golf balls for glow-in-the-dark mini golf Where to put everyone's belongings once our party room time ended (you only get the room for one hour) A bit more organization or communication would make the experience much smoother for parents. Despite those hiccups, Rush FunPlex is a fantastic place for kids to celebrate and burn off that birthday cake sugar high. There's no shortage of entertainment, and the kids had an absolute blast. We'd definitely recommend it--with the hope that party instructions improve in the future.
