Nice bowling alley . A lot of lanes. The lanes aren't broken and didn't have any issues. They should get more 6lb balls for the kiddos/small adults aka me lol. There's a lot of kids so I couldn't find a small ball. Pricing is decent. They have a back area that you can rent for private groups. The chicken tenders were average. I've had much better before. Food and drink are a little slow but that's kind of expected for a bowling alley with one person working the kitchen and one at the bar lol. But overall enjoyed our time! read more

We have family in the Kansas City area, and we were in town visiting and looking for something fun to do with our grandkids. We decided to take them to Park Lanes to bowl. The place has a very fun vibe, and the kids had a great time. The screen above the scoring table has fun filters that give everyone funny faces, which they really got a kick out of. If I had to pick one thing that I would like to see change, I would say that the facility could do with some updating. Rented the VIP area and it was perfect. Ty erected was plenty of room and everyone ( no matter what age) had a great time bowling.

Been coming here for years!!! Great place to bowl with kids.. Haven't done the league nights but usually always have a good time. Food and Drinks are a bit pricey for a bowling alley. Went to bowl with my 5 yo Autistic grandson and daughter. Shortly after getting our shoes on my grandson started melting down, his emotions are impossible to predict and control. We sere directly in front of the cashier and about 10 min returned our shoes, my daughter had not even gotten her shoes on, and requested a refund. First off, I need to say 1) I'm not a bowler and 2) I was here for a kid's party, but was not the planner of the event. So my review is based off of no bowling knowledge and as a party guest who didn't have to deal with making the party reservations. So I've been to lots of bowling alleys for kid birthday parties in the past and this is by far the nicest one. The kids had a great time. The staff and the other patrons didn't appear to scoff at the idea of being next to a pack of kids being over excited to bowl. Let's be honest, some bowling alleys don't appear to enjoy hosting kid parties, so this was a welcome change! The place was super clean and updated looking. In addition to bowling they have an arcade and laser tag area. They've got a huge menu for their snack bar and a full bar. They've also got a VIP bowling area that's walled off from the rest of the place. It appears swankier seating and lanes, bigger TVs, glow lighting, etc. Think night club meets galaxy bowl night and you can picture it. The staff was all very friendly and helpful getting the kids their shoes,balls, and serving the food. They also brought over these cute little dinosaur ramps to help the littler kids roll the ball down the lane. This place is such a great place to come hangout and bowl. My boyfriend and I came here on a Friday night and we were immediately helped and got a lane. The area we bowled in was super clean, and everyone around us was so friendly. We had a great game, and enjoyed ourselves. Park Lanes also has a VIP lounge, a bar, concessions, laser tag, and an arcade! If you're looking for a fun way to spend your day/ night, give this place a shot. We rented the VIP room for a large group to bowl. About one hour in (and persisting throughout our time there) two of the lanes stopped working. We told the staff about it and they began to look into it. A male staff member with a beard worked on the issue for 30 seconds, I look away, and the next thing I know he has blown his top and is screaming at my girlfriend two inches from her face while she is about to cry. When I stepped in and told him he will not speak to her like that, he shrank and played the victim, threatening to call the cops. I still do not know what caused him to get so angry in the first place, but that was the most inappropriate behavior I could have expected. All the other staff were incredibly pleasant. I will update this review if we receive a partial refund for the down lanes. read more

This place honestly sucks, I'd rather go anywhere else. it's disgusting, there's mold in the water fountain, the bathrooms are disgusting and smell like sewage, the food is extremely oily and nauseating, and all of lanes are always breaking. 1/3 stalls in the girl's restroom has been unusable for at least 6 months now too #embarrassing. The whole place just looks and feels musty. The staff also never seems happy... Geez.. Save your money and your time and bowl anywhere else. read more

I've participated in league and open bowling in this facility. The front counter staff seems to be pretty nice. My biggest complaint would have to be that if you go the morning after a rock n Bowl session expect the approaches to be a bit dirty. I really do enjoy bowling here because the shot is always different. One of my favorite things about this facility is if you are unhappy with either the cleanliness of your table or the lanes if you talk to management they are very good about getting on top of any issues. Even though the lanes may be a bit dirty on Sunday mornings I would have to say this is my favorite time to go practice on open lanes. They have a great three games special that makes it pocketbook friendly. read more

Wanted to get out of the house on New Year's day with the family so we headed here. They now rent lanes by the hour vs. by the game so if you are in the middle of a game you are out of luck. With our family of 4 during our 90 minute rental period we got through 2 full games and about 4 frames of the next one. They did tell us if we only had a frame or two to go they would extend our time. The fries at the snack bar are pretty good and you get a huge basket. Large drink is pricey but you do get one refill. Waited over an hour and a half for a lane after being told it would be 45 minutes or sooner while 5 lanes were open for an hour of that time. We asked and they said they were reserved. After we waited the hour and a half we were put on a lane that malfunctioned multiple times with pins missing in the set ups many times. We couldn't play our last 20 minutes because it took them that long to fix the lane. It cost $44 for one adult and two kids- completely not worth it for the experience we had. Short and sweet. We reserved 3 lanes in the VIP. We started 45 minutes after our reservation because previous party ran late. We requested 2 hours. After an hour and 20 minutes an employee came and told us we had to leave. She removed all of the balls from on of the lanes and told us the lanes were reserved after us at 7. Many in our party had prepaid so I went to address it with the counter. Employee lied and said she didn't do any of that??? At the end she charged me$70 for 2 bowlers. We ordered pizza and pitchers of beer and rude doesn't even begin to describe the customer service we received. I called to dispute it with a manager no one ever called me back. Okay, I've held this back a bit, but it's time to be written. Despite numerous chances for them to get it right, it only continues to decline. For personal reasons, I (we) gave it many chances. Bowling is no longer inexpensive. For a group of 3 people, without shoes, it was almost $33. The lanes are not consistent between each other, whether oily or dry. The straw that broke the camel's back? After reporting a malfunction on the lane, it was 20 minutes and TWO visits to the front desk before it was fixed. This is not the first visit that this has happened. But it WILL be the last. I asked the front desk employee (who later turned out to be the manager on duty) that we be moved to a different lane, but she informed me that they were all full (translation: they already had our money, and wanted to put NEW customers who walked in on the working lanes).....yet TWELVE (!!!!!) lanes were EMPTY. It appeared that perhaps SIX of those were not in working order. The others were scattered throughout the alley and appeared to work correctly. Finally, after the lane broke yet AGAIN (this was the fourth time in the matter of less than 45 minutes), and the desk clerk NOT offering to move lanes for us, the employee who was trying to maintain the lanes moved us. Odd, how the MANAGER ON DUTY (I asked to speak to one, and she told me it was her) cannot move us, but the lane worker can. Hmmm. She did offer a free game on our next visit. She then reluctantly gave 2 games. Of course, these games do NOT include shoes, so again, it will cost out of pocket money to redeem them. The ONLY reason we stayed is because my son was having a good game, and did not want to leave. A family owned business, locally owned....too bad. Can I give zero stars? I'm contacting the attorney General based on their advertising policy. "Friday 5PM thru Sunday 5pm" VIP is advertised yo be $14. Which is what I gladly paid. However, after we requested VIP we found ouraelf in the regular area. We then were told that VIP at 9 was $18. True bait and switch! I typically will bowl anywhere else even though I live relatively close, but tonight we were wrangled into coming here. The costumer service is undoubtedly the worst I've ever experienced. The restrooms smell like sewage. Bar tender is anything but excellent. I assume based on the clientele she received her largest dollar price order and tip from us. However, after we were scammed that was the last round we will 've buying. She can thank her manager for that. The place is an embarrassment to the city. I will never be back. read more

Our lane kept on having to be serviced in the middle of our games. Maybe we were just having any unlucky day but we didn't enjoy having to wait every frame for the lane to be serviced. We had a lot of money on the line for each game and I think the malfunctions hindered our performances. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would! Came in on a Monday afternoon, they said leagues would be coming in about a hour so they said we could go into vip area and bowl. VIP is a joke!! The land kept messing up and there was popcorn and what not on the floors, not clean at all. Charged extra for VIP but for what, then they decided to put kids on the lane right next to us when no one was on any of the other lanes, plus they kids next to us didn't have to pay extra for the VIP area. I'd like to give this place 5 stars but I just can't. For an average bowling alley this place is clean, updated, and all around appealing when you first walk in. The aracade was up to date with the rechargeable cards you swipe to play and it tracks your tickets also reloadable with a credit card because who carries cash anymore? Not me!! Unfortunately there were quite a few games down includung the air hockey table and come on that's what we came for!! This building is new enough that I'm guessing they've never allowed smoking inside. It doesn't smell of stale old ashtrays like some of the older bowling joints around town. They offer a VIP room which looks pretty awesome for groups of adults or company parties. We came to cosmic bowl and that we did. It would have been a blast except for the MUSIC WAS TERRIBLE. It was a random mix of 80's, 90's, and rarely but here and there some newer stuff like an over played Adele song from her first album ever. The 80's and 90's would be fine except they were playing songs that weren't hits, it was not a greatest hits list....awful. it gave my party of 4 adults and one child a headache near the end we were so sick of it! Strange complaint but it was really annoying and the table next to us agreed. This issue could honestly be part of why they were not that busy in my opinion because honestly I won't go back unless they play better music it was just that bad. As for the staff the girl at the front desk was absolutely delightful. Very welcoming and helpful. Everyone else behind those counters should follow her lead. Son and friends went to bowl and we had to pay an extra $26 for shoes even though they didn't mention this on the phone! Also had to pay a $5.00 booking fee to reserve the lane even though we paid for the reservation online. Terrible service!! Will not go back!! read more

Please let this go viral, went to Park Lanes in Shawnee KS so the kid could bowl, first they told us that it was a 3 hour wait and maybe we should go to the Main Eventthen went online to make a reservation it it let me at 1 hr wait. Went up to tell the person working at the desk and they said it was a 2 hr wait. Of course we were the only black family there and there was no one else waiting with 2 open lanes that I waited for 30 mins for them to fill with "all these people waiting before us" it never happened ...You never have to worry about me coming there again...I even called before hand and they said open bowling even their website shows these open lanes until 7. Worst child's birthday experience I have ever had. Party room wasn't available last minute...hostess was disinterested and rude. I had to get my own drinks and pizza. She was never around. Shorted on game cards and goodie bags. Zero help my sons birthday party was all my anxiety trying to make sure kids got to bowl and enter names in. I couldn't even take pictures or be with my birthday boy. 2 of the 3 lanes didn't work for awhile. When I went up to the desk I asked for the tab and she literally heard me walked up and tossed it at me and walked off!! I had a $50 for my host as I have always had sweet kid loving party helpers ... not her! Several of the mom's at my sons party were very unimpressed and we will never be going back! Youth bowling league - absent coach, waste of time and money. The only reason I signed my son up for the summer league and spent $120 - was because he loves bowling. The coach never shows up, staff are powerless to do anything other than make excuses. Youth bowl without expert advice , guidance or coaching. If I could give this place NO STARS, I would. Unfortunately it's not an option. My first and ONLY trip to this place was lacking in EVERY way. BAD management, which I'm guessing is where their employees get it. Started with being scammed into paying for something we THOUGHT we were getting and then to be told we're getting me something that is of lesser value than we paid for and when this issue was brought to their attention, we were confronted with yelling from the employee AND THE MANAGER! Rather than give us what we had paid for, we were told that we would have to pay more to get what we had INITIALLY asked for. It is in such poor taste for this establishment to treat its patrons in such a manner. Will NEVER be coming back here and will be telling EVERYONE to NOT COME HERE EVER!!! Save your sanity and go to another bowling alley. P.S. I have it 3 stars because if I gave it 1, yelp would not post my review in order for others to see. That's not helping anyone.
