We had a company party here and everything was well organized and stress free for a fun afternoon of bowling. Would do it again! Thank you!

Went to KC bowl for Scarlett's birthday party. We went on Saturday night during Cosmic Bowling which starts at 9:30 PM to midnight it is $16 per person to enter and that includes 2 1/2 hours of bowling with cosmic lights, music and rental shoes. It is by reservation only. As we got the night started, everyone got their shoes found their ball. We had two lanes and divide the group up into two lanes. Everyone proceeded to the snack bar can't go to a bowling alley without getting their snack and food, pizza, nachos, tater tots, chicken strips, cheeseburger, french fries and I believe I saw some onion rings. So everyone got to share. As we bowled we all had a good time visiting with everyone before you knew it, It was midnight and sadly It was time to go. So if you're looking for a fun birthday spot, KC Bowl 8201 State Ave. is a fun place to get together. We came in for a birthday party and the place was FULL. I haven't been to this location since Ranch West was here...it's been AWHILE. First thing that I noticed was how clean it was. It's definitely been redone since the last time that I've been in. It smelled clean and fresh as well. The kids were able to get a smaller ball at the front desk and if they were under the counter height, they were able to use the bumpers. Not sure why they are such a stickler on if you are taller you can't (I have TALL kids). We were able to bowl for two hours, but the balls kept getting stuck and we would have to call up to have them to have them push them through. We wasted a lot of time waiting on this to happen that we didn't even get through 2 entire games. read more

Probably the worst bowling alley ive ever been to. Ive never met a place that turns customers away. I called and ask if i can make a reservation and they said no its first come first serve and when i got there they that we only have 30 minutes to bowl. Freaking ridiculous. Don't waste your money and go somewhere else. read more

You call for lanes they say they are available, they won't make reservations when you call, then you arrive and they won't let you bowl. They even have open lanes you can see and they won't let you use them. I wouldn't usually write a bad review like this and I give the benefit of a doubt but this has happened more than once and the workers are less than helpful and less than accommodating. Not worth the trip and they seem to only cater to league bowlers. read more

It has been a few years since I had been bowling here so when ww decided to come for a family bowing day. I picked the bowling alley in the middle of everyone's travel distance. It was a great time spent with family! It was midday so it wasn't busy at all. The kids enjoyed themselves. The atmosphere was great! The staff was very friendly! The concession was reasonably priced. The restrooms were also very clean. If you need smaller balls like a 6 pound ball they keep those behind the counter. Not sure why, but that was our only issue we had a group of 6 kids and most of them had to share a ball because of the rest being so heavy. Other than that it was a great time! read more

I came into town to visit a couple friends we called ahead to ask how much it will be and they said $1.99 each for a game, and $1.99 for shoes. It ended up being $7 and some change for one person, which isn't that big of a deal. It's the fact your workers have the worst attitudes, nobody will want to show up to your business if the workers don't even seem like they want to be there. We went over to the bar to grab a drink around 10pm (the bowling alley closes at 11pm so I believe the bar does as well) we stood there for a couple minutes while the bartender had headphones in and ignored us the entire time. The lady with green dyed tips was very rude and had an attitude. If you don't like your job that much then quit.

The service is a little shotty here it really just depends on when you come. The alley itself is clean and actually pretty decent. They have 1.99 games and shoe rentals Mondays and Wednesday's from 12-5pm and they also offer shoe slips if you want to bowl in your own shoes that cost $5 and are reusable (worthwhile investment if you bowl often). We came here for my husbands birthday and did the family fun package which was 2 hours of bowling and shoes for 4 people, a large one topping pizza, and 4 soft drinks (no refills) for $45. Super great price! The pizza wasn't amazing but what do you expect . The only reason I'm leaving 4 stars instead of 5 is because they won't put the bumpers up if you are only adults. I went to ask and the man behind the desk said no super bluntly. I thought he was kidding but he wasn't. In my opinion we're paying to use the lane and we should be able to play however we choose. Brought my two kids under 6 to bowl on a Monday afternoon, and they had a great time! Place is clean, organized, clean bathrooms, properly working lanes and attentive staff. $20 bucks for two games and shoes for the kids was around what I expected since I didn't sign them up for kids bowl free program this summer. Overall good experience, food was decent too. Just the nostalgia of being in a bowling ally brought back good memories. read more

This place was pretty packed on a Saturday night. If you want to play longer than your reserved time, forget about it. The place is fairly clean. I don't eat bowling alley food, so I can't comment on the food. Customer service was adequate. Overall, nothing exceptional and I wouldn't go out of my way for this bowling alley versus any others, but we had a fine experience. read more

I went for the post league open bowling from 9-11pm. At 10:10 they told me that I could not bowl anymore due to there only being a few groups and that they wanted to close early. Lost my business, will not be back due to not being able to guarantee that they will even be open. Alley was nice which is a shame... read more

I know my other half bowls on a league here and seems to enjoy it. I've only bowled here for fun. It's a nice little place. The only complaints I have is the bathrooms are a little dated but what can you expect from an older joint. Was there at 10, they closed at 11. We were able to bowl the first game in under a half hour. Went back up to buy another, but since it was to close to 11 they said no. Not the best service. Manager said he didn't want us to "waist our money and not finish the game". It was on a Wednesday, and we told him we didn't mind losing a full dollar if not finished. I can't help but feel we were treated so poorly simply because we were a large group of Black people. We came to this location to celebrate a family member's birthday. When we first walk in, there wasn't a pleasant greeting. It was let me check your temperature. There's nothing wrong with having your temp checked, but how about hello, welcome to KC Bowl, would you allow us to check your temperature? Just show some appreciation that we chose to spend our money at your business as you realize we could have went anywhere else. Next we ordered a pitcher of beer, everyone had to show a card to get a cup, no problem, the problem with it was the lady serving the beer was so rude about it. Again, not pleasant, just condescending and rude. Apparently their system is write down your drinks on the back of a pink slip of paper and they will bring it all out to you later. What they don't explain is later is ALOT later and that if you come up and ask for your drink you will be given a rude response and then we will take even longer to bring your popcorn and drinks out of spite. I understand you need a system because heaven forbid someone is given an extra drink that costs a little over .15 to make including the cup and straw. Several times I went up and the popcorn was popped and they were all standing around talking. The drinks are two steps away from the counter, my daughter was thirsty and we had already paid you for the drink. Turn around, be kind and give me my drink and mark it off your precious list. We finally got our drinks and popcorn an hour into the two hour bowling. Finally, the two hour debacle ends with our lanes being shutoff, our balls being back in the machine. We had several issues, balls not coming back, pins not setting correctly, and we only had two frames left to play. You would think someone at the counter would have enough common courtesy to say let's give them a few more minutes to finish not only because we screwed up but because they are almost finished and we want to thank them for choosing our business tonight especially in this tough economy where people are being asked to stay home and small businesses are suffering. Speaking to the "Mgr" was like speaking to a brick wall, never apologized, never acknowledged that they had done anything wrong, didn't make an attempt to try "recover me" as a customer, no, it was like hey we got your money and we could care less if you ever come back. I understand why you have to have security because you treat people like crap and surely not everyone is a calm as I was while trying to explain why it was such poor service. Well, you succeeded, we won't be back. Congratulations. read more

This is a great place to bowl. I wish the bar was more developed and that they had a better snack bar, but it's all good otherwise.

NOT a great place! We went there past night for our friends birthday and some of the wives and kids did not bowl, after minutes of talking the guy working there I don't know if he was the manager or not, walks up to us, just us no one else and told us we needed to pay $11 dollars a person even if we DONT bowl or we would have to leave. So to clearify we were being charged to be there. Then he told us he'd make us a deal, pay him $22 dollars and we can all stay .. This was BULLSHIT. So we asked him why the sudden charge and he told us that they hired a security guard and they have to pay him $30 dollars an hour so we customers have to pay to be there in order for them to be able to pay for the security guard! Wtf!? Why is that your customers responsibility!? He said there was a sign on the door, we all stepped out to check, WHAT SIGN!? Liars! We left! Never ever again will we go here and we recommend NO ONE else to go there its a load of bull! No wonder they're so empty. Oh and I forgot to mention, they charged us $20 bucks just for 2 pitchers ! read more

this was my 1st time ever bowling in a league. i really enjoyed the summer league up till the end. the fact that you allowed your employee to sit there and antagonize the opposing team of her boyfriend is highly disrespectful and unprofessional. after all im a paying customer and she gets paid to do a job. i understand socializing with the bowlers, but this is supposed to also be fun. On top of that your Caucasian employee had the audacity to refer to a table full of african americans as they or them in a highly aggressive manner. Im sorry, i have a name. As a matter of fact my name is on the bowling screen and was also on my tshirt. To refer to me using the term of they or them in a highly aggressive manner is antagonistic. to allow this type of behavior has left a extremely bad taste in my mouth and i will be bowling at another alley from here on out. read more
