There was an awesome pinball area with many fun and interesting pinball machines. Pinball machines are super fun. I want to be clear that I loved spending four hours enjoying this arcade. Some of the machines seemed to be under disrepair. While I was there, other people seemed to be enjoying their time with their families. Even with machines not in the best condition I found ways to enjoy myself. When I found a game that wasn't working as intended, I enjoyed looking for what was different about it, then looking for a different way to enjoy the experience. Understanding and being patient with people is important to me. This business is ran by people. I understand that people want to do good and try their best. I know people need the care and attention so they can know what is good and right. Another way I was able to enjoy my visit despite the state of machines is to look for more than one perspective. First perspective for the broken machines is that the staff doesn't care about fixing anything. I refuse to stop there so I look for another perspective. Second perspective is I noticed a help wanted sign in the window while walking in. Also much of the staff seem young (COVID generation) so maybe they don't know what to do. Maybe there's no one skilled/trained enough to repair the machines and the staff is doing the best they can with the knowledge they have. Arrived on Saturday at 11:15 and the doors were locked. An employee came and immediately opened…read morethem when she saw us. According to the sign they open at 11 but apparently someone forgot to unlock the doors. We bought a package that included gameplay cards plus pizza and drinks. Since we were the first ones there, there was no one in the place for a good half hour. Some of the rides and attractions were not open however we found after looking at all the games plenty to do. After about an hour the kitchen opened and we were able to order our pizza. While we waited the 30 minutes for it we played a few games. One entire soda machine was out of service and it was the one with the diet soda options. The tables were dirty as well as the floor, which was surprising since it had just opened. Employees were either on their phones or chatting with other employees A few of the machines did not function properly, but when I told the girl at the front desk, she credited me back. The building appears to be aging and not well maintained. We left after two hours.

Overall, we had a fun time and would probably come back on another weekday. Based on other reviews, though, I'm not sure we'd try going on a weekend due to the crowds and congestion people mention.

We were like" what is going on why we are the only two getting pulled back?"...and you see people just gain distance on us. I understand if something bad goes wrong, but why is everyone else getting control and they end up gaining 20 feet and 50 feet and before you know it were trailing have the track... So about halfway into the race, we finally get control back, but at this point, my time is already shot. I can't win even the best time. so what am I doing here? What am I doing this for? At this point, I just gave up. All that money just for this? I am never coming back and you've lost my future business forever. What's funny about all of this? It's just before we were signing up for all the races. We were stoked and I was trying to make plans to come back just as adults for the faster races but if this is what it's gonna be like. I'll pass. What a waste of a place. The game arcade is sweet, but you know what I'll just go to Dave & Buster's because this is just not worth it and I don't wanna support this.

I ran an UMP Modified at Terre Haute Action Track, and had a total blast. I forked out the cash…read morefor 15 laps, and after a pre-race briefing, I was in the car. I was the only guy in my session driving the UMP Modified, not that it mattered. I have no actual race experience, other than driving a ton of laps in go-karts, so I was a little nervous. They set the cars up to about 75% race speed, but that's still plenty fast for a beginner driver. Terre Haute was fairly flat, dry and slick, so the back end would kick around pretty easy, but the track is also fairly big. You could hammer the throttle in the straights and really feel the power. I stayed fairly reserved around the corners, and only hung the back end out a little, as I didn't want to spin and potentially hit something, but I think next time, and there will be a next time, I'll be a little more adventurous in the corners. All in all, fun as hell. You drove at your own pace, and were on the track with a few other cars, so the potential to pass was also there. If you want pics and video, it's available, and they don't discourage you taking your own pics, either. Plenty of access to walk around and check things out, too. My son came back while I strapped into the car, and had a good time even though he didn't drive anything. As I mentioned, I'll be back, and hopefully soon.

He didn't actually get into a car until 4:30. He stood there waiting and so did we to watch. They didn't have enough cars to meet the needs of all of the drivers who purchased tickets. They cars were pieces of junk and kept breaking down. They didn't have reserve cars. In the training they were encouraging people to purchase extra tickets to ride along with a professional driver. Sad thing is, there weren't professional drivers at all. The cars didn't even fit two people. The two cars, late models did, but we did not see any professional drivers. They were collecting money for something that they knew wasn't going to happen. Save some money and don't buy tickets to this, it's not worth it. It took away from the fun and I don't like lying and basically taking money even though they say you can get a refund or reschedule.

Sad it's BOGO now. So if you want something cheaper than the movies, World's of Fun/Oceans of Fun or even the Prehistoric putt putt golf further down 40 highway give this place a try. Proceeded to ride Zambezi Zinger and Viking Voyager with fast pass. Got into the FP line for Mamba. Proceeded to watch the employee let everyone in the non fast lane in before us. Comes over to tell us we have the wrong color wristband on. I explain this is what we were given and we have already ridden rides with it. They say supervisor will not allow us to ride, we have to get new updated bands. Trek back to the photo booth at the end of Mamba to get new bands, trek back up. This was one of the better rides in the park and a favorite from when I was a kid. Rides we rode and thoughts: 1. Cyclone Sam's- no fast pass but can hold a lot of people. Appreciated the a/c 2. Flying dutchman. Only rode since there was no line and appreciated the breeze 3. Fury of the Nile-was closed at the beginning of the day, opened. Appreciated it had fast pass. Please get the poor employees who work down there some shade. I felt so sorry for them. 4. Le Taxi Tour-says on their website has fast pass. it does not. Can take a while since families will have 10 different cars so every person in the family can "drive" 5. Mamba-see above 6. Patriot-had fast pass. Best ride there 7. Prowler-had fast pass. Pretty rough 8. Spinning dragons- has fast pass but you have to buy it? Band you buy for the day does not include it. LAME 9. Timberwolf - on their website says it is on fast pass but they do not have fast pass. ride closed while we were in line. Sad as this ride was around from when I was a kid and I wanted my kid to ride it. 10. Viking Voyager-had FP, used it, didn't need it. Was different than I remember it as a kid. Didn't get wet. 11. Zambezi Zinger-different than when I was kid. It was a good ride. Rides that were closed: 1. Skyliner- this is a ferris wheel 2. Steel Hawk-swings 3. Zulu-closed, one of my favorite rides when I was younger. 4. Scrambler-why is this on Fast pass? it was closed 5. Sea Dragon Rides we skipped cause we like the thrill rides: 1. Autobahn 2. Bamboozler- I wanted to ride for memories, kidlet said no, too similar to ride where we live 3. Detonator-it is so small. Like why is the tower so tall but the ride only goes up a small height? Ride similar to this where I live is 100 feet taller 4. Fjord Fairlane 5. Mustang Runner-on FP 6. Nordic Chaser Kidlet tried to get an icee but it took over 30 minutes because people kept cutting them in line. Found another icee place and got an icee. Kidlet said person working there was basically giving them to everyone for free. Did not eat at this park. Had up close parking and when I told the person they sent me to the same lot everyone else is parking in. Was sad that a place that held such fond memories from when I was a kid, was so unpleasant to visit as an adult. I don't live any where near here so will not be returning.
