Now from paying for the lane with Braden to Cortez who took my families food and drink orders across 3 lanes and all the staff who delivered our food or grab a bowling ball stuck in the gutter... it was exceptional customer service! Even when it seemed slow in response or that a request might not have been heard as this one guy, Cortez was handling / assisting the needs of all bowlers down 7-8 lanes.. he heard us and our needs were met! This made our family time stress free, fun and joyful! Thank you so much!!! We had a BLAST! The food..surprisingly delicious.. the chicken nachos had well Mexican flavor chicken with good queso. The cheese fries we had to get a 2nd order due to food issue but it was delivered hot and still good, a bit heavy on ranch seasoning. We had pizza, Brussels sprouts and more.. all good!

This was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I've had...it is Main Event. BUT STILL. We…read morestood waiting to be seated for about 15 minutes despite there being no one else in line. No one acknowledged us or even let us know someone would be with us shortly. After waiting, my husband went to the bar to ask for help and was completely ignored! The bartender even made eye contact and still walked past him without saying anything. We were never asked if we wanted more 21+ drinks, the cups sat empty for most of the time on the table. We weren't even offered water after. On top of that, we were given incorrect information about portion sizes, which was frustrating. To make matters worse, our server didn't write anything down (which usually doesn't bother me) but both our orders came out wrong...The bartender/server was completely disengaged, had a noticeable attitude, and was even on FaceTime while working. Overall, lack of basic customer service and professionalism made this a very disappointing experience. I would heavily not recommend!

What a fun place! Skeptical doesn't come even come close to my reaction when a friend told me that…read morehe knows the owner of Lunar Bowl and wanted to go out there to watch a soccer game. The adventurous side of me won out though and I agreed to make the 25 minute trek from the Crossroads to Blue Springs. We started our evening in the Blue Moon-the bar and grill attached to the bowling alley. I loved the decor. The bar is not named after the ever popular Wit beer but is a huge restaurant with a large blue moon in the center and a skyline along the far wall behind a large screen where the game was projected for us. We didn't have the sound of the game on because of the DJ that came in to spin but he played an eclectic variety of music so we didn't mind. Do not expect this to be only a bowling bar. It is more than that but not quite a full bar and grill. The service was superb and the atmosphere laid back without being sloppy. I was really impressed. Drink-wise, there was a surprising variety of bottled beers. Way more options for spirits than I expected (including $5 Long Islands?!) and draft beers were under $5 for large pours of the usual bar selections of Domestics and Boulevards. I went with a 90 Shilling and then went to drafts from there and was really pleased by my bill after four hours of being there. The food was great, especially since it is a bowling alley. The burgers were large, the fries were basic but tasty and they also have seasoned fries and onion rings for the more adventurous appetite. A friend got the chicken fingers and fries and we were all shocked at the size and quality of what she got. I expected to see stadium-like chicken fingers but she was given a HUGE portion of them and a small amount of fries. They looked fresh and were all white meat. She ended up sharing and still had some left over. I will be getting those next time. Once the soccer game was over, we bowled a game or two and had a lot of fun! The score-keeping system was easy to program, the staff took music video requests, (there were three large screens that pulled down between lanes and music videos played to make it more of a club-like atmosphere) and the house lights were dimmed (NOT Cosmic Bowling) with flashy colored lights. Not only did I bowl my second best game on these lanes, but the staff accommodated my bum foot and let me bowl with my ace wrap and boot on and then one of their bowling shoes on the non-injured foot. I thought for sure they'd make me take the boot off but they were really nice about it...and a bit smart assed and joked with me about it, which I loved. Go to Lunar Bowl and the Blue Moon for a refreshing break from the normal routine. They make bowling modern and cool again and I will definitely be back. Just make sure you have a full tank of gas if you're coming from downtown. It is a trip but it is well worth the journey.

Even if you're not bowling, they may ask you to pay $15. I witnessed this conversation with a few customers. The equipment appeared to be in good shape as well as their shoes! You are allowed to smoke inside, FYI but, they have designated areas. Such as smoking vs. non smoking lanes. The air quality was fairly decent and comfortable. Service at the bar and grill could use some improvement. Staff were very slow at taking orders and a bit disruptive when announcing customer names over the intercom for pickup. With all of that said, a good family friendly spot to hang out Friday night.

To charge people $20 regardless of if they are actually bowling is dumb. Additionally, the staff that has been hired to work here lack basic decorum when speaking to people. Hearing them yell over the intercom at paying customers as though they are at home yelling at their kids is not something I was expecting to hear. However, it happened twice when I was there. Now let's talk about the older lady who works in the kitchen. She had a mask on covering her chin. Not her nose. Not her mouth. But her chin. Just avoid this place. You get the point.
