Really good menu for a bowl alley.

So during our fun visit in Kansas City we decide to stop hear to bowl on our way back to St. Louis and I'm so glad we did. This newly renovated bowling alley is an awesome family fun place! All the lanes work with no problems, nice clean/shiny wood lanes, the staff was amazing very friendly, professional and helpful. The arcade for the kids was amazing as well ( and for adults too if you like to be a kid sometimes like me ) lol. They have TV screens that shows the music videos and the music playlist was great. The food was better than your typical bowling alley, over all the prices to bowl and eat is a little above average but well worth it for what you get. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in town.

What a fun place! Skeptical doesn't come even come close to my reaction when a friend told me that he knows the owner of Lunar Bowl and wanted to go out there to watch a soccer game. The adventurous side of me won out though and I agreed to make the 25 minute trek from the Crossroads to Blue Springs. We started our evening in the Blue Moon-the bar and grill attached to the bowling alley. I loved the decor. The bar is not named after the ever popular Wit beer but is a huge restaurant with a large blue moon in the center and a skyline along the far wall behind a large screen where the game was projected for us. We didn't have the sound of the game on because of the DJ that came in to spin but he played an eclectic variety of music so we didn't mind. Do not expect this to be only a bowling bar. It is more than that but not quite a full bar and grill. The service was superb and the atmosphere laid back without being sloppy. I was really impressed. Drink-wise, there was a surprising variety of bottled beers. Way more options for spirits than I expected (including $5 Long Islands?!) and draft beers were under $5 for large pours of the usual bar selections of Domestics and Boulevards. I went with a 90 Shilling and then went to drafts from there and was really pleased by my bill after four hours of being there. The food was great, especially since it is a bowling alley. The burgers were large, the fries were basic but tasty and they also have seasoned fries and onion rings for the more adventurous appetite. A friend got the chicken fingers and fries and we were all shocked at the size and quality of what she got. I expected to see stadium-like chicken fingers but she was given a HUGE portion of them and a small amount of fries. They looked fresh and were all white meat. She ended up sharing and still had some left over. I will be getting those next time. Once the soccer game was over, we bowled a game or two and had a lot of fun! The score-keeping system was easy to program, the staff took music video requests, (there were three large screens that pulled down between lanes and music videos played to make it more of a club-like atmosphere) and the house lights were dimmed (NOT Cosmic Bowling) with flashy colored lights. Not only did I bowl my second best game on these lanes, but the staff accommodated my bum foot and let me bowl with my ace wrap and boot on and then one of their bowling shoes on the non-injured foot. I thought for sure they'd make me take the boot off but they were really nice about it...and a bit smart assed and joked with me about it, which I loved. Go to Lunar Bowl and the Blue Moon for a refreshing break from the normal routine. They make bowling modern and cool again and I will definitely be back. Just make sure you have a full tank of gas if you're coming from downtown. It is a trip but it is well worth the journey.

    FUN!

Used to be an AMF back in the day and you can see a lot of the remnants of it both inside and out. Customer service wasn't the greatest. The man up front, I believe his name was Doug seemed very reluctant to help us. When we arrived he was more concerned about a broken lane and told us to wait and that he'll be right back. There was also a couple of people who spoke directly at him including a woman who just wanted to say thank you on her way out and he just ignored them both. As far as the place itself, It's pretty easy to find your way around but not a fan of how the bowling balls are sorted. You pretty much have to go to other unoccupied lanes to search for a ball if your lane doesn't have what you're looking for. Wasn't a huge fan of the red ambiance either. I only bowled the one game but I'm not sure I could stay here for several hours under the red lights. Just doesn't feel too inviting.

It's a great place to have fun with friends and family. They play great music while we were there. You can order food and there is a full bar. Plenty of bowling lanes. Price was reasonable during the week. 3 games plus $5 arcade for around $17. We had a fun time and will definitely be back.

We were waited on for food and drink refills the whole time and the staff was very considerate of me bringing my young children. They brought down the giant connect four for them to play with while the adults played bocce. They even gave them cute hats and medals for rewards!! The whole establishment was very clean and well kept up. The lanes were very nice as well! Didn't get the chance to explore the whole place but it seemed like it went on forever. The buffet they provided for brunch was so delicious!!! Best buffet I've had by far. The sliced ham and other meats right there for you, had fresh waffles with tons of toppings. They even make omelets fresh in front of you! And there were a ton of other options of food, including my kids favorite pizza and chicken fingers haha! It was 30$ per adult but kids under 3 were free so perfect! And don't get me started on the chocolate fountain!!! Didn't get to grab too many pictures bc we were too busy having fun!!
