This is a wonderful indoor course! It gets warm in the building, so wear layers! We loved the unique holes, the zip line was an adventure! Overall great experience! We had 19 in our group ranging from 7 to 65 years old! It was fun for everyone! My advise to the business: bump up your drink and snack options! I know you aren't in the food business, but we were ready for drinks and a snack after an hour of playing!

This place is pretty cool. I took my son and 6 year old granddaughter for her last day of summer before school started. We all had a great time. Lots of new and different holes including a zip line. We were happy it is all indoors because it was raining outside.

What a fun and unique rainy day activity in Independence Missouri, not too far from the city's center. My boyfriend and I enjoyed the low cost alternative to something as intense as Top Golf as well as the not too serious, but still definitely challenging for adults, mini golf course themed around dinosaurs. Though, prehistoric putt may seem like a children's attraction do not be fooled, they offer alcoholic beverages, not at all as extensive as Craft Putt in Overland Park, but a decent selection of canned beer for around $4. It also offers an adult only course and golf simulator. We came on a rainy weekday around noon and to our surprise the entire place was empty upon arrival, score! I wouldn't want to come to this place when it is crawling with kids (or just people in general) because I feel like you would feel rushed to finish and crowded on the course. However, the day and time we went ended up being perfect. There are two different courses offered, a blue course and a red course, one is more difficult and one is more adventurous, though we picked the difficult course it was still very different from normal mini golf which kept the game play interesting for us as adults. While playing the 18 holes we came across one other group who came in after us with little children but, that was it. All in all it took us a little over an hour to play the 18 hole course but, keep in mind we took our time and definitely played a few of the more fun holes over. For $10 a person it was a great date activity and I could definitely see us inviting a group of our family and friends here again! If you are curious about prehistoric putt, even if you're an adult, I would say go and give it a try just maybe make sure ahead of time that it isn't too crowded before you make the drive out to Independence.

We had such a fun time with our six year old. We did the easier course. It was plenty challenging for her. I loved that it was like an obstacle course. The zipline chair was so unique. There are old school arcade games and a simulator. This place truly caters to anyone. We saw to women in their 70s doing the course. I wouldn't recommend taking someone younger than five. There is also an adult's only course. They even sell adult beverages you can take on the courses. The dinosaurs throughout are fun for the kids too.

I really appreciate the unique take on traditional mini golf - softball, "pinball," and archery style holes made for a fun and interesting round of 18. We were a party of 9 that ranged from 8yo to 66yo and each person had a great time!

    Zipline! So much fun!

This is a cool place to go! Lots of fun dinosaurs and challenging courses for adults and kids alike! We loved it! There was a lot of thought and creativity put into each course and detail. Go check it out! My favorite was the zipline!

Great and unique indoor mini golf. It was fun but it can feel too crowded and there was a wait between holes.

The Kings course looked fun and had a lot of obstacles that the kids loved. However, we had to go around a lot of torn up carpet and put the tees back together. There was someone coming behind us to blow the leaves off the course, so that was a good sign. It wasn't a bad price and it's more nostalgic for me, so I'm sure we will be back. The arcade did look nice and most things looked like they were working.

We WERE able to play, and the staff was aware enough of the issues with the course that they didn't argue about giving the new balls to us and gave us the earned free game coupon that the machine didn't spit out when it should have, so that is why I left it at 2. See full review below. We used to come here all the time when I was a kid. They have a game room inside and 4 mini-golf courses outside. I recently went here on a girl's day outing with some friends and, while we had fun, the place is really run down. Many of the holes are damaged. Examples: the "starting pad" on several was completely detached, water not on in the fountains, outdoor carpeting making up the "green" was wrinkled or sliced, various themed elements on the holes were rusty, many elements in the holes were blocked forcing us to go all the way back to the front desk inside the building and ask for new balls, the hole in one machine at the end of the course (where you hit the ball once and if it goes in the hole the machine gives you a ticket for a free game) didn't work, etc. Inside, the game roomed smelled of marijuana and several machines (including the one that turns your cash into coins) were not working. I was very disappointed with the condition of the place, both inside and out.

There are ways around that with their daily happy hour and various food specials that vary each day of the week. We came on a Tuesday, and it was taco Tuesday. We started with lunch and got the garlic cheese curd appetizer. These are probably the best cheese curds I've ever had, they come with both ranch and marinara for dipping and they were both great. The waitress convinced me to try their peanut butter burger l, which sounded strange, but was just as delicious as she said. The onion bacon jam was perfect and you only got hints of the peanut butter throughout. I also tried some of my coworkers philly cheese steak tots. I'm not a fan of bell peppers, but eating around those, the cheese sauce, streak, onions, and banana peppers on crispy tots were savory and tangy and just a really good balance. I would order them again in a heartbeat. The only thing that would have made the experience better is if we didn't have to ask for refills and napkins. I wish I had taken pics of the food, but I was too hungry to take the time. On the putt side, they have two mini courses, both with 9 holes. They have putters for golfers of every size and you get your balls from a gumball machine which is pretty fun. As a group of adults, we had a ton of fun playing both courses.

The Puttery completely blew me away!!…read more This place had been on my list to try out for a long time and I wish I'd gone sooner. It's located in a cool area in the middle of the plaza right underneath Chiefs Fit gym. As soon as you enter you get a feel for the great ambiance and fun variety of music. We came in during a cold snowy day and took full advantage of the FREE coat check at the front desk. On the first floor there's a mini golf course as well as a full bar and seating area. Once you go downstairs though, you'll see just how massive the place is. Theres TONS of seating and cool little nooks to hangout in which make it great for a date night or corporate events. Once you get into the mini golf there's some great courses to check out. Each one has a different theme and they make it super simple to track your points. Simply enter the names of all your players on the touch screen at the first hole, then enter the number of strokes afterwards. After that it will follow you throughout the course until you're finished and tell you who wins at the end! There's also a place to sit your drinks at the start of each hole with a menu of course specific cocktails that I highly recommend trying. Every part of this place is perfect to take pictures and have a great time. But in my opinion, the true highlight of the Puttery is the food. I had the pleasure of meeting the head chef while here and he truly puts his heart into the menu. Our server Mariah was also super helpful giving us drink and food recommendations throughout our time here. Everything sounded amazing but I had to go with the Cajun Chicken Philly since I'm a sucker for a Philly sandwich. It was one of my favorite sandwiches I've ever had. From the soft delicious bread to the unbelievably juicy and tender chicken, this was such a great dish. The combination of ingredients and the plating itself made it clear that nothing comes as an afterthought here. I also tried the loaded fries which were a great recent addition to the menu. Last, we finished it off by trying the Tiramisu, Raspberry Donut Cheesecake, and the Bourbon Bread Pudding. Each one was really amazing but my favorite was the Raspberry Donut Cheesecake, and I'm not even a huge cheesecake fan! I definitely plan to come back here just for the food because it was so delicious!! And on top of that, they recently started a meal prep service which I plan to take full advantage of! Overall you can tell that every detail is thought through at the Puttery. It truly feels like a luxury experience with an element of fun to round it out. The service is amazing and the food and drinks are to die for. If you're ever looking for a fun date night, a group outing, or even just a place for a solo dinner or drinks, you have to check this place out!

I'm not going to lie; it was very challenging and extremely fun! We hit all 3 courses. As far as playing mini-golf and attempting to do well, I'd say I like the Conservatory course. We pretty much were there until closing. There was also food & drinks a part of our visit. We sat at the bar where Madi served up 3 great drinks and we go to try the Spinach Artichoke dip. She made us Espresso martini and then a Pumkin flavored martini, both tasted exactly as expected with a bit a Baileys for added flavor.
