Went here for a work event. I really didn't enjoy myself and I love to play old school pin ball. First, there is no decent seating. All the seating inside were Bistro stools and when you reach a certain age or certain weight or both, Bistro stools are not comfortable or safe. There was a picnic table out in the back, and that was fine, except there is no shade. Second, the do not serve food before 5:30 pm. They open at 4 pm. Our group ordered food from outside and had it delivered to the picnic table. Third, service was non existent. There was a bartender and we could get drinks. The place could use sprucing up. The floor was concrete and cracked and worn it was if they put a bunch of games in an old building. It was not an inviting atmosphere. A pool table would have improved the place slightly, but not enough to make a return trip. read more

Arcade Alley is such a fun place! If you were an 80s kid or teenager, like video games, like to drink, like to pay one price and do it all... Endless gameplay, this is the place for you! This was a fun stop while we were in the area. There are many TVs throughout the space, so we were able to watch football while playing the various games there. It is $10 for a wristband and you can play all of the games, as many times as you want. There were some classics like Galaga and Mario, as well as some newer games like Mario Kart. Some of the games unfortunately didn't work but I did like that it was a flat rate for access to the games. It was pretty loud in the arcade but you could still hold a conversation. read more

If you love the old school arcade vibe, this is the place for you. Before 7pm, kids are welcome. But after 7, is when adults can relive their childhood by playing video games. But still be an adult with a beer in your hand. I didn't notice a wait staff, but you would walk up to the bar to place your order. For $10, you get a wristband to play all the games. read more

Arcade Alley is going to be a hard pass for a return visit. Upon entering, the whole place reeks of grim and filth and sweat. Zero air flow made it so I was dripping in sweat within minutes. Arcade Alley is a great place to spend a night with friends. It's not overly expensive, and the drinks and games are fun. I've never had a bad experience visiting. It has a college-town vibe with outdoor patio games, cheap drinks, and games that (mostly) work. That's the appeal to me. I love that you can bring in outside food, and since it's located in DTLS, there are plenty of options. They have two patios, one with games and one outside. Both are great places to talk with friends in between playing games. Also, regarding the games, there is a set fee for playing unlimited games. Throwback arcade for the people who grew up in the 80's and 90's. This place has all of your vintage faves from Tecmo Bowl to NBA Jam. They also have several pinball machines, a four-player Mario Kart, pop-a-shot and skee ball. The place could use a good cleaning though. Pretty sure I put my hand in vomit inadvertently. Their kitchen was also curiously closed. Game bands are $10 for all-you-can play. Not a bad way to spend an hour or two. read more

Arcade Alley is a fun place to come hang out with some friends, have a couple of beers and play some air hockey and some old arcade games like pac man, Mario kart, frogger, mortal kombat 4 and have some appetizers. Arcade Alley is the newest bar to open in downtown Lee's Summit (May '19). They have 14 big screen TV's, 29 Beers on tap, full bar, 4 frozen specialty drinks and as of today 58 games. There is a private room that can be used for parties and an outdoor patio! Thursday night is ladies night with $6.00 game play wristbands for the ladies and $6.00 slushes for everyone. Sunday is half price drinks all day. Game play wristbands are normally $10 for the day. Arcade Alley is a great place to hookup with friends, play some games and enjoy a drink or two. They offer a limited menus of bar food. The chicken fingers are lightly breaded and not bad. A side of fries is always nice while drinking and playing Galaga! read more

This place is truly awful. The ambience is that of sweat and filth. Bathrooms are deplorable. Staff is a joke and need to be trained in customer service. Drinks are way overpriced for what they are. If you're looking for a night filled with disappointment, rude staff, and overpriced drinks then go to Arcade Alley. If I could give less than 1 star I would. read more

This place was a huge disappointment. Providing a generous estimate I would estimate that at least 30% of the games were not working and of the working games I would estimate another 40% of those did not function is some capacity correctly. The games are not maintained at all. 3 out of the 4 pinball machines did not work. I will say if they could get their games working correctly and maintain them this place could be a lot of fun. read more

Super fun little place! Good slushie drinks, and lots of nostalgia! Small enough to enjoy every game in one night, but still lots of options! Has an outdoor patio too with lawn games! Just get a wrist band and start having fun! read more

Doesn't look amazing from First impression of walking in but we got great service , great bar food and fun environment for those who like games . Would come back for the food alone . We met the owner he was working hard and making sure we were happy . We had group of 20 for my brothers bday . I would suggest party room and/or just lunch !! It is really neat to see all the games I grew up playing when I only had arcades to play them at. They have pop-a-shot, skeeball, air hockey, and a LOT of video games. Food was a lot better than I expected from a place with a specific identity in retro arcades. I guess good food is part of their identity as well. It was just a fun atmosphere. This is a pretty cool retro arcade with most of the essential games from the 80s (galaga and Pac-Man). I did miss them having Zaxon and Tron though. Simple premise, retro games, beer and good food. I had the burger time burger and it was outstanding. I wasn't expecting it to be that good. Huge selection of drafts as well. I really liked that you just buy a wristband and play any game. Went there for the first time a week ago. It was really cool to see all the games I played as a kid growing up. The wrist band for the the night seemed a bit high and the drinks at the well were just OK. I think this place has potential but it was too packed to even move with all the machines. I noticed 1 room completely empty with 2 people in it with some shuffleboard tables. Maybe spread out a bit and give people a chance to actually stand and watch other play their game. I felt like I needed to constantly move out of the way just to watch a friend play a stand up game. I did like the concept of a chance to get away from the kids for a bit and it being kid free after a certain time. Adults do need a place to play as well as kids. It's not Dave and Busters but I know that is not what they are going for and that is ok with me. read more

Cool retro arcade in the downtown Lee's Summit area. I have also visited the retro arcades in the Crossroads area downtown KC, and they were much better. I have been to Arcade Alley 4 times now, and I am not sure that they serve food or not? I have seen a couple people eating, but not many, and it was mozzarella sticks each time. The game selection is OK, could be better like the downtown arcades. They have a really good tap selection, and on Sundays all drinks are 1/2 price. Love that! The setup of the arcade games are an issue. They are all set to be able to be played without coins or tokens, so I have walked up to a machine that was already in a game in progress that someone walked away from. This makes multiplayer tricky on some machines as well. They should offer tokens rather than a $10 wristband. For me, I just want to hang out and have a drink, maybe play a little pop a shot. Not $10 worth though. I know they have discounted wristband nights, so I'll have to check those out. In conclusion, GREAT idea with a lot of promise, just needs a few tweaks to their methods in my opinion. Game one! read more

For a "Arcade" you'd think oh boy what a fun place to take the family on a nice Friday afternoon well apparently on Fridays they only serve to people 21 and over we drove out 20 minutes to be just let down and turned away sure this wouldn't be a big deal and all but with all the bars in the area why turn this place which seems like a family friendly restaurant into a place that turns families with their kids away on Fridays when most families are free to eat out just a disappointment. read more
