Service was good and lots of TV's to watch games on. We had some snacks and beers which worked out.

Best damn place to play pool around! Solid bar offerings and nice wait staff, really what more could you ask for?

They changed their menu but didn't update it online so I was completely disappointed when I went in for dinner. Lots of people playing pool and having fun so it's a good bar. Bartender could use a little more training. Weeknight around 10 PM. read more

Was asked to leave because I resembled a guy that didn't pay his tab back in November I've been here 10 times since November with no incidents so I was very confused. When I confronted the guy who asked me to leave him and a female bartender explained that since me and two other black guys looked alike and they didn't know which one it was they would just have to ban us all how racist is that?? I come to this place all the time but after this treatment you guys will hear from my attorney. This isn't the first time you guys have discriminated and harassed blacks or Mexicans visiting your establishment but it will be the last!!!! read more

I got kicked out of this pool bar for being too intoxicated, but from what I do remember, we had an extremely nice server! I wish I knew her name. they also had these really huge red drinks that I'm sure are pure sugar but apparently they were so good I couldn't stop drinking them! This particular Side Pockets location used to house a grocery store, so it's monstrous size makes it ideal to watch a football game. There are about 6 big screen t.v.'s the size of a smaller movie screen. The chairs are in both T squares, and front ways of each section. There's atleast 8 pool tables, and a large bar. The sound system isn't too loud, but a good volume to make the game exciting. The waitress was exceptional. My iced tea was never empty, and always replaced with a new glass. The menu is vast, but I thought there wasn't quite enough cheese on the nacho supreme. Our group was constantly attended to, but not too much. For the Wild Card Play Off game, the place was comfortably 2/3rd's full. No one was obnoxious, but I felt sorry for the one guy clapping for the opposing team. I think in a place such as this, he was a bit out of place, but that's his fault. read more

It's so much bigger on the inside! 5 stars for food, service, environment. Service is a little slow but we can just go up to our server if we need anything. The food is hit or miss, the tenderloin was excellent and the fries even more so! But the pizza is gross only because of the sauce is just tomato sauce not a seasoned marinara or anything. It's cracker and thin crust not for me. The chicken skillet was alright just chicken with cheese and peppers. The mashed potatoes are from a box. The games are great! SO MANY POOL TABLES over 15 for sure. And darts! They were playing darts league and hubby and I played I got 3 bulls eyes! Overall really good experience. read more

It was packed and i received great service! The staff was very professional and there when i needed them i had a blast!!

This was my first time visiting this location. Service was a bit slow, but it was packed for a Saturday night. They have a bouncer (door man) sitting at the front door to check for ID, as you walk in. The food was pretty good as were the drinks. I will try it again. The location is in a strip mall - Side Pockets could be the only place open, in the area, late at night. read more

If I could do 0 starts I would. Our server took 45 minutes to come by the table and then it took another 45 to get our food. When we talked to the manager about our frustration and she called my husband (who is African American ) the N word (hard R) and kicked us then kicked us out. I will never return here and I don't recommend no one else go here either. They are a racist establishment. read more

Saturday mid afternoon this place was pretty empty with just 10-12 customers playing pool or having drinks/food. Could have selected a hightop table but I prefer to sit at their bar so I can see the smaller TV right behind the bar. Sat there while Bartender stood 12 feet away behind the bar just chatting with other customers who were having drinks and eating their food. No acknowledgement of me joining at a seat along the bar. No greeting or welcome. No attempt to bother getting my drink and food order. When the next commercial came on the TV then I gave up and stood up thinking that might spark a "welcome" or "what can i get you" from staff. Nothing so I turned around and walked out without hearing anyone attempt to offer service. Essentially the same thing happened the last time I was in there a few months back so its not a one off occurrence. Suspect this location may end up on episode of Bar Rescue. This never happens at their other Side Pocket locations so its only this Lees Summit Side Pocket location to avoid. read more

I've been here a few times to shoot pool and I've always had a good experience here. They have a good number of tables, so I've never had to wait for one to open up. They have a pretty decent menu and they also have drink specials from time to time. I usually call ahead and see what drink speicals they are having at the time. I was told that if you come by during lunch you can get a free game of pool as well. The thing I like most about this place is that it is NO SMOKING! I love shooting pool, but sometimes avoid it in order to stay clear of smelling like cigarette smoke, but here....I never have to worry about that. read more

I'm not from the area and went here to shoot pool. I didn't eat and had only a few beers. So my review is based solely on the pool experience. We went there two nights, Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was packed and took a little time to get on a table. The tables are mostly 7' valleys, looked to be using Aramith balls with the Aramith magnetic cue ball, a very good sign in my view. The felt was typical of a Valley, fairly heavy nap cloth (compared to Simonis anyway) but level and well maintained. At .75 cents a game not a bad deal. They only have two 9' tables that I saw, one a Brunswick, and the other a tight pocket Diamond. I couldn't get on either table on Saturday as they are rented by the hour. I did play on the Diamond on Sunday and at $8 an hour it was a bargain. There was a small tournament on Saturday night, I didn't enter it and don't know how they run it. Overall a good place to play pool, the food looked good but I didn't have any of it and the beer was cold. read more

Took my husband here for a relaxed b-day cocktail. They had an excellent beer selection - but our shots of Patron tasted very watered down and were given to us with rotten limes! We also had an awkward encounter with a gentlemen claiming to be the manager's boyfriend who was insisting we order the new beer battered chicken strips and try some of their new sauces....he appeared to be going to every table telling folks to order this and actually came back to our table after we were done and made a "funny" remark about how only one of us ordered the chicken strips - which btw - were $10 and pretty average. I ordered two sauces with my chicken strips, and got charge .75 extra for each of them - and then to make things worse, when I told my waitress the teriyaki sauce tasted kind of old and rotten she argued with me that it was supposed to taste like that. I asked her to bring me something else to which she replied "SIGH..it's going to be a while." I thought overall the food was decent, but the bar could use a little improvement and our waitress needed a major attitude adjustment. read more

Great place obviously for pool. Kind of a divey feel to it. I had a their special country fried steak dinner and it wasn't that good. It didn't have any flavor steak or the mash potatoes just bland. It's not a bad place to go, it just wont knock your socks off. read more

I'm currently here now, & if you love pool it's for you! However, I came to play, drink, & eat! When I went to grab a menu from the bar (at 10pm) the bar tender yelled "Kitchens close!" Correct me if I'm wrong.. The website states kitchen is open from 11AM-11PM on a Monday! A little disappointed that I can't eat before I drink now & I have to leave for food now. read more

We went for lunch today and was pleasantly surprised. My husband had the fish and chips and really enjoyed it. I had the cuban sandwich and was so happy to see they did not make it with regular bread and lunch meat. We will be back. read more

They had difficulty making a whiskey sour and when I brought it to their attention they said I should have ordered a double. The double was also subpar. There is a sign on the outside stating that 2 forms of picture ID must be provided. They only asked for the DL....but why the sign? read more

It's Chiefs Sunday, so a certain level of poor service is admitted. Our server is sweet and friendly, but obviously very overwhelmed. We have a group of 12 with a couple kids, it's no simple taste on our best day. But we're friendly and tip well when service warrants it. Our food came out in what seemed to be 3 meals at a time, until the last two that were forgotten about entirely and had to reorder (now 45 minutes after I ordered). So maybe it will make it out to me eventually. What made it absolutely terrible was when my mother went to the bar with her empty water glass just for a refill that had been longtime coming. The bartender, without a single word spoken, snatched the glass from her hand to refill. We're local, and regular visitors. The service is generally poor, but today it is exceptionally poor. My food finally came and is delicious, so I added a star. read more

Husband and I have been here several times in the past. Food was always good. Went on Sunday 3-13 and the experience was not very good. I ordered a beef taco salad it was incredible bland. Three pieces of cheese, 5 black olives and the rest was taco meat and lettuce. I was given the smallest side of salsa I have ever seen and was told it was cost me an extra 60 cents if I wanted more. The waitress explained that the chefs make these condiments from scratch. The salsa clearly came out of a jar. Not homemade. My daughter ordered a chicken wrap and the wrap was a large burrito shell. There were no condiments on the table if you wanted extra ketchup. The place is in dire need of an overall and the carpet is filthy. We will not be back. read more

Absolutely, the worst experience I've ever had at a bar. We were treated with disrespect and harassed by the pool patrons around us because we were in their "normal" seats for pool. The manager, Mary then comes to our table (in the middle of eating/drinking) and asks us to relocate to the back of the bar as our table is the pool players only. All of this was unexpectable and uncalled for. I will never return to this crappy place. read more

Arrived for happy hour this evening with some girlfriends. Most of the tables were reserved for pool league starting in 2 hrs a high top towards the front didn't have a reserved sign so we sat and the waitress greeted us and let us know about the pool league we said ok. Ordered drinks and the waitress said she was leaving and switched us to a new waitress. Everything was good we ordered dinner and were having a few drinks when we were told by another customer we needed to move tables because it was their table?? We said no we are eating they continued to harass us name calling, trying to physical move the table, picked up my girlfriends coat and moved it, etc all while we were eating. The waitress then asked us to move as well we refused we were still eating and had been there 2 hours before this group! She agreed only because in her words "she didn't want to lose her money (tip)" she then came to the table every 2 minutes clearly trying to rush us out and then came over with a manager Mary who told us we needed to move we couldn't sit at the table anymore the other pool guest wanted the table! What?? There were several other empty tables not far from us? She was so rude and arguing with us! She saw nothing wrong with this even though we were paying customers just trying to enjoy our evening! We asked for the owners info paid our tab while the other pool guest laughed yelled and cheered while we left! I've never ever had such a bad experience and treated so poorly by any bar or restaurant! I'll never return!!! read more

I only gave 1 star because there were no options to give zero stars. I can't believe the customer service that we received tonight. We were harassed by everyone from servers to the manager named Mary, to patrons who were playing pool. Apparently those playing pool are treated better than other paying customers for absolutely no reason. We were asked to leave our table mid dinner, even though it was not a reserved table, and there were plenty of other options for the harassing pool league guests to sit. Someone even grabbed my coat and tried to take our table while we were in the middle of our dinner. Very disappointed with our service, how we were treated by management and we will not be returning! In all my visits to restaurants/bars, I have NEVER been treated this poorly as a paying customer! I would strongly encourage anyone who is thinking of visiting to go somewhere else so you don't have the same experience my guests and I had tonight! Will not return!!!!!! read more
