It was nice so we sat on the patio. The brunch menu is small but packs a nice variety. I ordered the tater tot bowl minus bacon add chicken tinga. It was delicious. The tots were crispy, soft scramble egg, avocado, and cheesy goodness. My companion ordered the belly burger. She said it was delicious ious too. For apps we ordered the hummus. It was good. On a previous visit, I ordered the spicy peanut noodle bowl with shrimp and the dynamite shrimp app. Yum!! Both were loaded with flavor. Forgot to take a pic. From 10-11:30 on weeekends, mimosas are $1.99. What a deal!! And of course I had to try all the flavors! Cran-orange is my fav. They have a great happy hour, daily specials, kids menu, vegetarian menu and some gf options. I will definitely be back to try the pancakes and Nashville chicken Sammy. Shout out to Mike the manager and Rey my server my making my dining experiece so very lovely. This casual spot is ideal for families with small children, couples, groups and celebrations.

All the meals came out warmish but my toddler's meal was scalding hot. The teenager didn't like their cheeseburger, the toddler didn't want their French Toast which is wild since that's their favorite thing to eat. My breakfast tacos were flavorless and hubs basic breakfast was tasteless. We left a lot of food on the plates. Not a place we will be returning too. Looking around the place, everyone was ordering lots of drinks. I guess that's how the food tastes better. ‍

Quiet open arrival, but as it quickly gained patrons, it was difficult with hearing aids to carry on a conversation. Old building, high ceilings - - LOTS of conversations. It's busy with 30 to 50 year olds. It was an absolute JOY to witness their gatherings, hugs and smiles. Eric - - our server, was very kind, patient and helped explain several of the questions we had regarding the menu. We APPRECIATED his attention to our large water carafe, filling it frequently. THANKS ERIC (with a C!!) Our food was nicely plated, temperature perfect and portions were VERY generous. The Classic Breakfast was my choice. Eggs cooked as directed, breakfast potatoes, one smallish, breakfast sausage in natural casing. A steak knife would have been helpful. I don't know the brand of bacon they serve, but it was FABULOUS! Thick sliced, prepared beautifully and mmmm, mmmm GOOD! The plate includes a Cheddar Biscuit. It is BIG and delicious LOOKING! I had to bring it, half of my potatoes and the sausage "to go". My husband ordered the Sausage, Egg & Cheese Biscuit. He was not a fan of the less than tasty sausage. #DIL ordered a Chicken Biscuit - - she shared a bite of the chicken. Let's just say, I KNOW what I will be ordering NEXT time we go. Our grandson ordered his favorite Biscuits & Gravy. HUGE portions, suitable for a growing young man. We will be back! P.S. The Gilded Pear cocktail was delicious. The Key Lime Pie was exquisite. Lovely plating and scrumptious. I shared it with my husband PLUS we brought half of it home.

The one night recently, we had a friend in town and we had all got to talking at the house and forgotten to make dinner and it was after 9 o'clock. In Lee's Summit, your choices are limited for restaurants that are open later than that. So we opted to drive out to Iron Horse Bar and Grill. We got some onion rings that were as big as donuts and very tasty. The appetizer plate is huge; three of us couldn't eat it all. We then got a southwest salad with chicken and shared that. And I got the hot beef sandwich and Melissa suggested some garlic mashed potatoes with that. It was very delicious. The drinks were cold, but just OK. We had some specific orders and it was the bartenders first closing shift. He will get better.

Saturday afternoon, we decided to slip away for some much-needed time together. After doing a little shopping, we stopped by Iron Horse Bar & Grill for appetizers and drinks, and it was a great experience. We ordered the Sampler Platter, which came with crispy fried pickles, bacon-wrapped shrimp, beer-battered onion rings, and chicken strips with dipping sauces. Everything was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. We also enjoyed orange and mango mimosas, which were delicious and refreshing. On top of the great food and drinks, our waitress was excellent -- extremely helpful, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit. The customer service really made the experience even better. If you are ever in Kansas City and need a good place to grab something to eat and enjoy a relaxing atmosphere, Iron Horse Bar & Grill is definitely worth checking out!

We sat at the bar, and the bartender was amazing, full of helpful info about the menu. He told us how the seafood comes in fresh. He recommended oysters to us, and since it was our first time, he threw in a couple of his favorites at no charge. It was also happy hour, and we took advantage of the specials, ordering the cheddar biscuits drizzled with honey and the colossal cocktail shrimp. They really were huge and delicious. We also enjoyed half-price oysters. My husband loved the crushed cocktails We split the mahi-mahi, and we loved how he told us about the fresh fish that had never been frozen and whether it was wild or farm-raised. The mahi was incredible. You could tell it was fresh. We enjoyed the potatoes and the BéreBlanc sauce. This is going to be a place that we will end up becoming regulars at. So happy to have tried it!

I know I'm a bit behind on my reviews again, but posting now other than later is still fine. lol.. I'm doing my best to keep up with what life is throwing at me. That being awkwardly included and all, sis and I dined on some of the best food I've had in a while. We shared smoked oysters topped with bread crumps and parmesan, a super spicy and flavorful salsa-type appetizer with habanero that came with surprisingly flavorful chips lol, we shared some crab cakes, a beautiful aquatic-toned alcoholic drink, and shared one of the best trout dishes I have ever had in my entire human life! 0__0 The rainbow trout was our favorite part of that entire experience, which was tough to decide on honestly.. My 2nd best thing were those oysters! Our waiter was so kind and entertaining, and I really hope we get him the next time I visit! If I remember correctly, his name was Tristin. Thankfully due to how early we were there that day, the restaurant wasn't super packed, so we had plenty of breathing air for most of our visit. During the last 15 minutes it began filling up! This review is a mess you guys, but it's still an absolute satisfied one!

Think Cheers without the neckties, and within driving distance before your air conditioning can cool off your car. That's WestSide. Located in a Lee's Summit strip mall, anchored by Big Lots and Starbucks, on MO 291, it's about as neighborhood as you can get. Why don't be surprised if the staff remembers your drink and maybe your food order by your third visit (your name might take a bit longer). Anyway, I have always gotten excellent and friendly service along with very good food. There are daily meal and drink specials. Any meal I have ever had that wasn't up to snuff was immediately taken back and replaced with whatever I actually ordered. Servers? Think "the girl next door, but with a smile and a good attitude." Parking is abundant with adequate handicap spaces near the door. It's well lit and has that safe suburban feel. Their prices are reasonable (even in our current economy), and the menu should cover most reasonable tastes, without being overwhelming. I now consider myself a regular (I did verify that status with both the bartenders and a server the other night). It's a friendly, comfortable place that's easy to relax in.
