My experience is from 12.29.22 at 7:00pm. I stepped into the facility ready to have some fun with my family for our final night out for Christmas break. To start, the front desk recommended that I not buy a play pass due to the long waitlist. So, I trusted what I presume as a her and opted to spend our $100 on game cards. Then, began the worst experience I have ever had at a place like this. Most of the games were broken. Not a single game attendant in sight. We got multiple games with balls that had zero balls but kept the money. I took my son into a Photo Booth that cost 24.9 credits and most of the pictures look terrible because you have no idea where your at in the picture before it takes! I am so angry beyond belief. $100 is a lot and if the games weren't broken and just taking our money, I would totally over look some of it. Then, my 4 y/o son had to potty really bad. We went to the family restroom, disgusting! Then we were to the women's restroom, and every single stall was dirty. Toilets full of others stuff, toilet paper everywhere. It was appalling. When we finally cleaned a stall for my son to just stand and pee in, there was a mom with her daughter searching for one as well! I told her to come to the one we just finished since I cleaned it. She said, "oh thank God, this place is gross." I could not agree more. Overall, I will most likely never go back to main event anywhere due to this terrible experience. Appreciate their problem solving when the thing we asked for wasn't available in our last minute timeline and they came up with something else that worked just as well for us. I usually do not post reviews or make a big deal on social platforms unless it is for a good reason. I hate to be a bother or head ache for someone. With that being said I have grown up in Edmond for 10 years right down the street from this establishment. I've been to it multiple times before and I have not had a problem until now. The first day we visited from February to now was with me, my fiancé, my step daughter, my two siblings, step mom, father and friends. We specifically went there for bowling BUT the lanes had a waiting list of up to 45 min to an hour so instead we played arcade games and most importantly went to the bar area to eat and PLAY POOL. We played pool for FREE that night and the night right after as well (FEB 24TH). My fiancé and my father enjoyed playing pool together so they continued to meet with each other on their own time at main event. The FIRST day my father and fiancé went to play pool together they charged my father $8.50/ hour. My fiancé called and told me and I said it was crazy because they let us play free the other day. They had no problem paying and did so. 03/11/2021: The SECOND day my father and fiancé went to main event together my father had a STATE ISSUED temporary ID. When he wanted to buy a beer they gave him a hard time and said they cannot take his ID. My fiancé was there and they held his ID so he could use the pool sticks so I asked why he wasn't able to buy him one since they had his ID and the manager tells us "there's a limit of beer a person can have" which was irrelevant because my fiancé didn't order any beverages they could have very well let him buy one for my 50 year old father. Not only did they give my father a hard time they over charged him for an hour and 10 minutes; they charged him $20 which doesn't add up. On top of that when the pool sticks were returned they held on to my fiancé's ID. We had to come back and get it and the man attempted to double charge him. Despite the odds my they went a third time. 03/12/2021: The THIRD day my they visited main event they were then told that pool was $8.50 per 30 minutes. This obviously wasn't adding up at this point we have went from free, to $8.50 per hour and $8.50 per 30 minutes. I'm determined to pay the manager another visit but instead I call to get the corporate office's number. 03/13/2021: the FOURTH occurrence with main event. Despite the hardships with main event my fiancé and father were still determined to waste money at main event. I told my fiancé that I would be accompanying them this time in case I needed to speak with a manager. He suggested that we should call ahead to get concrete prices and to see if they have changed once again and the lady that answered told me that on the weekdays pool is $7 and the weekend pool is $9. She never specified if that was per hour or at what rate. I asked if prices had just changed and she told me that the prices had always been that way. We then went to HERITAGE LANES where you can play pool in their lounge for $1 a game (you're welcome). We will gladly spend our money else where. I've wrote a review before where I felt like discrimination was a factor. I had hoped that I wouldn't have to make another review, but I don't mind shining light on it at all. It's crazy how the two times my fiancé and father were accompanied by me and my family that they played with no hassle and as soon as two grown black men want to play pool by themselves there is a problem every single day they visited unaccompanied. It's sad that I feel like I have to follow my fiancé around main event like a lost puppy for him and my father to get fair treatment. We had no problem paying but it seemed like my fiancé and father were being picked on at every chance. If you are a black or biracial family like my own I would not waste my time or money at main event. Okay that was lame but for real, the food ranges from :shrug: to "pbbbtt". Plus, they're surprisingly expensive for what you get. I can lump the foods I've tried into one of two categories: 1. "That wasn't terrible, but how much did you say you paid for it?" Fried Calamari ($11.95). Onion Rings ($7.95). Hummus & Vegetables ($9.95). BBQ Chicken Pizza ($18.95). Buffalo Chicken Pizza ($18.95). Loaded Nachos ($10.95). 2. "...I bet you this is punishment for me being crappy to that one person years ago." BBQ Brisket and Cheddar ($9.95). Chicken Tenders ($12.95). In terms of service, Main Event is strangely predictable. It's almost guaranteed that you'll get a server that'll check up on you repeatedly before you know what to order, and then gradually check on you less and less. It gets to the point where they stop checking all together after you get your food. I don't know why but it has happened every time I've visited. The employees working at the front have consistently been pretty helpful and friendly, though. Basically, don't make dinner plans at Main Event. There are clusters of restaurants within a 2-mile radius that will satisfy your cravings, all while tasting better and being easier on your wallet. The "Bowl" and "Play" parts are what makes Main Event so appealing. Both are kind of overpriced but will probably net you a good time all around. The bowling lanes are plenty, the arcade machines have good variety, and the pool tables aren't usually booked for long. All three are recommended for groups or date nights. Every other available activity was kind of forgettable. Overall, there are other better bowling alleys and arcades, but the combination of both at Main Event makes it recommendable enough. If you're craving any genre of food, do yourself a favor and finish playing your games and then go and eat somewhere (anywhere, really) down Memorial. read more

We usually get pizza after bowling, laser tag, etc. But this year we got to try their buffet. From a glance I can tell this place is pricey, but since I've never pay here, this review is just focusing on the experience and food. The service that we get had always been amazing. I love how each activity was on a set schedule, the staffs are really great when it comes to planning and handling the event. Friendly faces, from the counter where you get your bowling shoes to how they have staffs picking up your dishes when you are done eating. For laser tag, they do a good job on explaining how it works for beginners and how each team get the points, etc. The buffet was already set up when we arrived. After trying the buffet, I have to say I rather go with the pizzas that we had last year because the food needs some improvements. The tacos were bad, the meat was horrible with the bbq sauce, it tasted weird. The pretzels were hard, the cheese sauce was probably made from can. It was powdery and tasteless. The wings were dried. But thanks to the sauces that was paired with the wings, made it a tad tastier. The mini burgers and the veggies with the dipping sauces were probably the only good thing that I ate here. This is the place where you are active majority of time, so it would be nice if they can turn up the AC up a bit. Besides the bowling, laser tag, pool, etc, the Typhoon in the arcade area was really fun, it was like a virtual roller coaster. Overall, I had a great time with my team members, as always. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. My husband and I came here for a little date night. When we got there we decided to eat dinner before doing anything else. We had 2 people stop by our table, both cussing about being short staffed etc. I understand being short staffed, and although I was a tad taken back by the way they talked, we waited. After about 30 minutes waiting for someone to take our order we decided we would just skip dinner and go play some games. We spent $55 on 300 credits and within the first 5 minutes we discovered that essentially every game we played was broken in some way. Throughout the entire night we probably had over half of our credits wasted on a game that didn't work. We took our kids to Chuck-e-cheese recently and we both felt that even that was better than Main Event. I will never come back here. We were visiting our son who is stationed at Tinker AFB and he wanted to take his young brothers here at Main Event. Signed on the door says mask is required and temp was being checked. At first those were good signs, until I started to see few employees have their masks pull down then we see groups walking around with their mask pulled down. Employees sees them but just walk passed right them like a blind mice. There was also couple of parties being held with no social distancing. I'm sure there was a manager or supervisor on the floor who sees whats going on but afraid to SPEAK UP to those not following the safety precautions. I'm going to split this review into two parts: fun and food. Fun: [*][*][*][*] First off, if you're going to come here, you should probably show up on a Monday after 4 p.m. There are three deals available for what they call Monday Night Madness: all you can play video games, all you can play activities, and a $20 fun card. I got the activities pass which allows you to bowl (shoes cost extra), play laser tag, access the ropes course, and play pool for as long as Main Event stays open. I think this is the best deal if you're planning on staying for a while. The bowling area is great. I'm not much of a bowler, so I can't really say what makes a great bowling alley and what doesn't. If you're a bowling plebeian like me, you'll probably enjoy yourself. One thing to note is that I finally understand why strikes and spares are so important in this game. The screen that shows the scores does a good job showing the math. The pool tables are also pretty nice. The tables are all regular size and look like they're kept in good condition. I didn't notice any unevenness on the tables when I played. I never played laser tag or went on the ropes course. Just make sure that you get a reservation for certain time slots to ensure that you get a chance to play. Food: [*][*] The food was...not good. I'd say that my first complaint would be trying to get the attention of the wait staff. I don't think we were allowed to order anything until we got a hold of our server. With such a large building and so many people walking around, it's a little difficult to figure out who you need to talk to. The second would be how the food tasted. I ordered the BBQ Brisket & Cheddar sandwich. It comes with BBQ sauce, coleslaw, and parmesan kettle chips. The worst part of the dish would be the coleslaw. It tasted like chemicals. I took a few bites of it just to make sure that I wasn't going crazy or anything, but yes, it tasted like some kind of cheap preservative. The rest of the dish was okay. The meat on the sandwich was salty, but the BBQ sauce took care of that. The kettle chips were actually really good. Nice and crunchy and they weren't too salty. The worst part about all of the food on the menu is that it's got a giant price tag on it. The general consensus of the group was that the food wasn't worth the asking price. This location is on the west bound side of Memorial next to the Kilpatrick Turnpike just past Western and Memorial. There is plenty of parking since it is a standalone establishment. Signs for Main Event are huge so you won't miss your turn. I've visited this location since they opened its doors. The central customer counter for obtaining bowling lanes and shoes plus laser tag tickets is always long simply due to their popularity. Right behind this area are the kiosks for purchasing game cards. The bowling lanes, laser tag, pool tables, bar area, restaurants and bathrooms are pretty well kept and clean. There are plenty of games for kids, teenagers and adults. Each game is pretty pricey for single play (average $1.85) so you can run through your game card pretty quick when you have kids. I gave them only 3 stars because they have a lot of high school age students there which is great for them, but they do have a lot of them who seem like to socialize with their friends than work. Trying to get them to help is challenging when they don't know the answers. More training is needed with more adult mid-level supervision. read more

COVID under consideration, this place needs some serious help. You start in one line with everyone to get to the main counter to pay for things like the ropes and laser tag. A team of 4 behind the counter, nobody acknowledging your presence. From there we finally pay, and then get sent to another area to sign up for the rope activity. We got sent to the winners choice area to wait in line. After sitting here a while we realize there is another spot to the right, unlabeled, to get the ropes sign up. 30 minutes later, when we get in line for the ropes, near the back, they start the time at the first person. Daughter got 7 minutes and barely got started before they ran her off. Get to concessions and the staff guides us to a different line stating that's where things start, in opposition of the one sign that says start on a pole. Tell us the gift card has nothing on it. When we showed them on their own site that it does, they get it to work. Stand in line to pick up our pizza and they forget about our one slice while giving everyone behind us the pizza we have been waiting on. The cashier spent time counting her tips and talking to others standing around talking about what they were going to do after work prior to taking our order or acknowledging us. I could go on and on and on. A few signs, friendlier staff, and a better design of the flow is desperately in order. Trying to pregame via the app is no help as they don't have prices, details, or anything helpful. I love how clean this place really is. There isn't a cigarette smell or that musky bowling smell. I usually come here with a group for bowling. To borrow a lane for an hour its about 40$/hour/lane so we always come with a group of 8 and it ends up being roughly about 10-12$ per hour. You will have to pay a little bit extra for shoes and socks. I like how its set up all techy and you can order food and drink so its really fun when you go with a good crowd of friends. They also have an arcade section and it looks just like dave and buster and i'm sure the games are very similar. They have tons of pool tables in cause you have to wait for a lane (we always reserve which i highly recommend!) The pizzas are great and the bartenders are friendly. I came to a friend's 30th there and he had booked three lanes, a buffet, etc from 8-10 for roughly 17 people. We just could never find anyone to take our drinks. Even when we did flag someone down, nothing happened. Talked to a guy with a headset about it and he mumbled something into it but, again, nothing happened. So a group of us decided to go to the bar to order instead. Waited 20 min. There were only two bartenders. They kept serving people who arrived after us and basically ignored an entire side of the bar. They need to staff more people to run the bowling area and more bartenders. I know going out on a Saturday night would be busy but last night was bananas! My party of 6 walked in and wet greeted with a line after standing in it for five minutes I finally asked what it was for the the guy said bowling. I thought it was for temperature check s. My husband talked to the near by door attendant and ask him how to get a table to eat we were let know it was open seating. After cleaning off our own table a bus boy came and s sanitized the closed table next to ours we the asked him to clean ours. While eating more ppl came in and some random adult left their baby on the closed table behind us and just left to play pool. After a yelling match-with another guest the mom came back with friends and sat at the closed table. The only positive thing was our meal was pretty good came out hot and the were super low on dining staff our server was over worked but she was very pleasant.
