He was very unhelpful and told us our refund would be able to get back. later on we were told we would not be able to get a refund. Went to Main Event mainly for the arcade, and it ended up being a somewhat frustrating experience. On the positive side, there's a good variety of games and plenty to do, so it definitely has the potential to be a fun spot. However, a noticeable number of machines were either broken or had issues - especially with dispensing e-tickets to my card, which was frustrating after playing. That kind of takes away from the experience. It also wasn't easy to get help. Staff seemed hard to approach, and when issues came up, there wasn't much that could be done in the moment. Overall, it's a mixed experience. There's a lot here, but the execution isn't quite there. It may or may not be worth it depending on your expectations - and honestly, the overall rating seems pretty reflective of that. read more

Not a bad bottom shelf version of Dave & Buster's; the food was great but the arcade was repetitive and lacking, the dining area desperately needed to be cleaned, and the service was just short of being unmentionable. Before the kids let loose with their play cards we ordered a late lunch and that in itself was a process. There was a sign that said "please wait to be seated" yet there was no one there to seat us. Finally noticed the girl at the bowling alley counter observing us so I decided to ask her how we could get a table. She explained to us that the sign was primarily for the weekends and normally people just pick a table. Would've been nice to know before we waited five minutes to ask, but that's on me I guess. Anyway, she got down spraying the rental shoes and led us to a table that had obviously just been used as the napkins and crumbs from the last customer were the only visible tabletop decor. After browsing the menu for a moment I opted for the No-Bun Burger Bowl and my kid went with his standard fare, the personal pan cheese pizza. We were both satisfied with our choices. Ordered a loaded fries appetizer too, but that never ended up on the table as our waitress forgot to jot it down. I let it slide because she seemed more comfortable spraying bowling shoes than taking orders and the place was pretty slammed. Didn't take long to get our food though, that was a nice surprise. By the time it arrived we still had half full glasses and my kids weren't complaining about being bored yet so I'll definitely take that as a win. The pizza was great according to my son and he almost finished the whole thing. The fact that he didn't attributes to the size of this "personal pan" serving. He never leaves leftovers when it comes to pizza and this could have fed both of my kids. He said it's better than Chuck E. Cheese's; that's a pretty grand compliment coming from him. Blame it on age, but the heavy stuff just doesn't sit right with my gut anymore. This deconstructed burger bowl was a lean, hunger crunching delight. The patties were cooked to perfection, crisp on the outside and juicy in the middle. The shredded lettuce bed was mixed with perfectly tangy ranch and the whole thing was topped with purple onions, American cheese, thick cut pickles, and slices of fresh tomato. Seems pretty basic, but the simple flavors combined to create an incredible eruption of taste and summer vibes. This is something simple I'll start making at home. Pricing was fairly decent too. We ended up paying $138 for the four of us and that included $100 of game play for the kids. Not too damn bad!! After a quick trip to the bathroom (which I'll note were semi-clean with minimal urine on the floor) we headed out to the game floor. First thing that called to me was the air hockey table. Swiped the card, no puck. Went to three other tables and did the same thing...no pucks. Great! Asked the service desk about it and...no pucks. That was frustrating. Opted for some skee-ball and hoops. Classics, but boring after a little while. The kids had fun with claw machines and a couple of arcade games but my daughter is obsessed with racing games and considering that was about 75% of what they had, she was in hog heaven. Everything was just so...repetitive. And boring. And everything we've seen before at every other arcade/diner combo trying to capture the success of Dave & Buster's. A bowling alley, resturant, arcade center all in one! It is a one-stop-shop for all things fun! I had such a fun time here. I went to Main Event to bowl on a Tuesday night, and it was quite busy... I think a company had rented out a few lanes. But, there were still lanes open, and we walked right in and got a lane. For bowling, I thought $30 for an hour was a great deal.. came with the shoes and booth service. Although, our booth server didn't come up to us until we were half way through our time, which I didn't like. Other than that, it was such an enjoyable experience. Our booth area was very clean and the bowling alley seemed very kept up... all the tvs worked, lanes functioned perfectly, no malfunctions. When we were down, we walked around Main Event and saw SO many arcade games, a full blown resturant, and even a ropes course. This place was huge and had so many different areas where you could go. On Monday March 10, 2025 We visited Main Event to celebrate my godchild birthday at 4:00 pm. We sat down to eat first before playing games in the arcade. We waited over 15 minutes for a server to finally come to our table. He took our drink and appetizers order. He never brought one of our drinks but charged for it when we got the bill. He had to correct the bill which took another 15 minutes. The place is definitely short staffed. The experience of his service was horrible. read more

Horrible customer service!! Floor supervisor/manager (middle aged black man with earrings) was beyond nasty. He was rude, incompetent, and lacked basic skills to work in a family customer service environment. When asked for help with bumpers not working on a lane for kids to play, he rudely stated it's broken and walked off with no offer to provide any assistance. Then he proceeded to ignore us. When we checked with his superior (corporate manager), he was nice and kind and stated it could be manually put up. He sent the initial unprofessional supervisor back to our lane to manually fix the bumpers. Unfortunately, we had to experience more rude behavior in front of our kids from someone that simply didn't want to perform the basic task of their job role. He didn't even know how to manually bring the bumpers up and had to get another employee to assist. No one should have to experience such poor service when they are spending money and just trying to have a nice outing with their kids. Was visiting Baton Rouge with some friends who had their 8-year-old granddaughter with them. Called prior to arrival (twice) and spoke with Brianna (sp) both times. Advised her we were coming on the youngsters actual birthday. She was so helpful and her superior, Christian Legard, were both absolutely amazing! She arranged for us to have a decorated table with a sign for our birthday girl. Also suggested a decorated bowling pin with her name and her favorite characters, Lilo & Stitch. They made an announcement to wish all July birthday folks a Happy Birthday and a special Happy Birthday to our little girl, Payson. Food was great and although they had several groups with parties and events scheduled, made sure that Payson got to try the Ropes Course and play some Laser Tag. Note this came from the sign in area where there were about 6 employees just standing around. We went for the all day pass, we stayed because we were already there and it was too late for us to find something else to do. The prices are high. Signing up for times for Laser Tag and Ropes seems like a good idea, but having to wait over an hour for the next laser tag game isnt really "unlimited play." The kids only got two laser tag games in and weren't able to do the ropes thing at their scheduled time because there were too many kids in that time slot. The $23 all day pass is actually $28, because you have to pay for bowling shoes, even if you're not going to bowl. There is a concession stand type thing to get drinks and food, I think... It wasn't open. So the kids were expected to go to the bar if they wanted to order anything. Some of the games didn't work very well. The air hockey tables were terrible. The VR headset for one game didn't adjust right so I had to keep adjusting it during the game. It seemed like most of the Skee Ball games didn't work. One of the two shooting games that I played had a messed up gun. Overall, the kids had a decent time. The place was understaffed. The employees were as helpful as they could be. We probably won't go back. We got two all day passes instead of five because the all day pass price was a lie and I don't like supporting business like that, so the adults skipped the getting passes. The caucasian bartender w/ the long hair needs a better attitude. She greeted us with "what can I get for you?"No hello, how yall doing? How am I supposed to know what I want if you havent even given us menus? We are regulars at Main event and all the bartenders are friendly and nice except her. We reserved two bowling lanes for 10 people. One of the lanes repeatedly malfunctioned, so they moved us. One of the new lanes is malfunctioning. I paid $5 for an ICEE just to find out the machine was down, so i accepted a coke instead, which was flat. I went back later for a slice of pizza, and their register was down. After finally complaining to management, they offered us a *partial* refund. Its an overpriced, shoddy business. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

While spending a weekend in Baton Rouge a boring Saturday was shaken up by a trip to Main event. It's located in the same parking lot as the mall on the back side near BJ's. Upon entering you can wait in the line to speak to a person or use the electronic booth next to the counter and take care of your game card yourself. The place offered laser tag , pool, bowling and a decent arcade area. We had a blast and really enjoyed the place. There is also food and drinks if you are interested. Pure chaos, but in the best way. Main event is paradise for kids and adults alike, just maybe not at the same time, lol. I'd been to Main Event before, but this time I was there for a little cousin's birthday party. I'm not sure if there are levels to the birthday party packages, but his included bowling, game play, laser tag, and pizza and unlimited drinks for the kiddos. It was midday on a Sunday, but the place was packed. More so than I would have assumed on a Sunday, but nothing out of the norm for an entertainment center, especially of this size. While I wasn't exactly the demographic for the party, I can say that I had just as much, if not more fun than the kids. I love arcades and games, so once I was armed with my game card I was ready to rock and roll. There was a good assortment of games and most of my faves (I may or may not have spent a little too much time on the DDR style game). The only drawback is that while the space is large, the arcade area isn't as spacious as a Dave and Buster's, so it may feel a little tight with all the folks, but there was rarely a time when we had to wait too long for a game. In the event that we did, there was always another option to check out while you waited. There's a full bar and restaurant for the adults while the kids get their fill. If I'm not mistaken there are also adult-only hours for the young at heart who just want to play a little skee-ball or maintain their title as air hockey champ. read more

We utilized Main Event's event space recently to host a meeting of our book club. It was GREAT. The room was large enough for us to space out, chairs were comfy and it was very clean. We ordered a couple bottles of wine which I thought were well priced and had the chicken nachos. The chicken was a bit over cooked texturally, but I thought the flavor was really good - kind of smoky - and the portion size was definitely enough for 2-3 adults to share. I will definitely be back to play laser tag and try out some of their arcade games! read more

Scammy Ripoff and the WORST outing I have had in my life. We purchased an hour of bowling, then separately purchased wristbands for our children to be able to play on the gravity ropes and laser tag for the night. It was $50 for two wristbands. One child was only interested in laser tag. The other child, who happens to be autistic, was super excited to try out the gravity ropes. We finished our bowling hour around 7 pm. Firstly, we were not even able to finish ONE game of bowling in the hour. Our lane had multiple issues, where associates had to move pins, or reset our lane... one of which walked down the lane itself, rather than on the side (ruining the coating which is supposed to be smooth for a good bowl). In addition to all the technical issues on our lane slowing us down, we also never saw a single waiter/server. A manager, came by saying that a server would come, but they never did. We had to go to a separate area to order drinks, which also slowed down our game (when one player was waiting for the order for about 10 mintues) The kids weren't too bothered by not being able to finish a game, but every other venue I've bowled at you play a full game, rather than having the upsell option when your time somehow runs out prematurely. Then, we headed to try out the highlight of the kids' night... gravity ropes and laser tag. However, when we walked over there, the gravity ropes were not being manned by any employee, so there was no access for the kids despite the wristbands we purchased. So, one of the parents in our group went to inquire and was told (at around 7:30 pm), that no one would be able to man this activity until 8:30 pm. I was not satisfied with this answer, since the wristband is supposed to last for your visit, not for a portion thereof, after the kids are already tired or bored. I went to speak to the manager that greeted us before, and she said she would send someone. By 7:40, no one had come. The other parent tried to bring the boys to Laser Tag while we waited for the ropes... but lo and behold-- NO ONE was manning this either! So, we couldn't do either activity the wristbands were purchased for. At this point, my child with autism was already in tears on the floor, and we were all mentally exhausted from this bait and switch. The only thing available was the arcade.. which must be the real moneymaker for Main Event. So, we went to the desk for a refund hoping to leave and salvage the rest of our night, and the sanity of our kids. Here's where it got even worse: the manager told us they do not refund wristbands as a matter of policy. We then had to argue the fact that we were not able to use them for anything they were good for, and we wanted to leave and get our money back. Meanwhile, my 10 year old with autism is in full meltdown, crying and screaming on the floor, inconsolable as her one activity was ruined. My other special needs child, a three year old, was trying to run away, as he was also overwhelmed at this point. Another manager was called over(Tim) who noticed I was filming and asked me to put my phone away as he did not want to be on camera. I obliged him, since he refused to discuss a refund until I stopped filming. He then proceeded to say that since we bowled, we used our wristbands. Fortuitously, we had purchased the wristbands separately from our bowling. He then argued that we didn't have our receipts (which were not given to us). He finally argued that one must make reservations to use laser tag or gravity ropes. He then left to go serve drinks at the bar, and had the other manager and an associate search the trash for our receipts- they did find them crumpled in there! The original manager then apologized, issued our refunds, and stated that she had not even been trained how to issue refunds as they do not normally allow them. We were able to leave roughly 20 MINUTES from originally requesting refunds. (reminiscent of a shady car dealer that leaves you waiting as a negotiation technique) Good riddance. I hope I can help someone avoid a catastrophe like we had. read more

Our pizza got delivered with 5 minutes before our bowling time ran out. No plates, no napkins, no drinks, no to go boxes. Server Matt was extremely rude. We then waited 20 minutes to pay after we got the pizza because the server had to find the manager Via to take the drinks, that we never got, off our bill. The manager told us that he comped us the drinks. I tried to explain that he did not comp us anything, as we never got drinks. He rolled his eyes at us and walked away. I will never go back. I wish I had remembered to take a picture, but I was on kid duty with the organization I am volunteering with ...when there are many children running around, you have to eat on the fly. I've been to Main Event many times, and each time I am there, it is a great time. The venue is handicap accessible, the floor is open so there aren't any major obstacles in the floor way preventing fluid movement. There is a ramp to the bowling lanes, and now I see they have an tool for people with wheelchairs to be able to bowl without hindrance of the chair being in the way or even upper body strength. That was thoughtful. The restroom is always clean and neat. The menu has been changed since my last visit, there aren't many gluten-free options; however, they serve a cauliflower crust pizza and loaded fries. I opted to get the loaded fries. The fries were well seasoned and the toppings, when they were hot, was tasty . Once the dish began to cool, the cheese sauce became paste-like, which wasn't so pleasant. Overall, the experience was amazing...the service, the environment...everything was quite stimulating and exciting. read more

We came here for Monday madness this past Monday, and it was insanely packed. The line to get your cards was constantly long enough to wrap around and reach into the arcade. So if you'd like to participate in that special I recommend coming early. It's a great deal though. For the arcade games, they allow you to play unlimited games, although you don't earn tickets during the Monday special. Not all of the arcade games are included either. The staff seemed to be on top of the arcade games, a couple broke and they got them back up and running. The restrooms were pretty dirty with all of the traffic going on. Since they have opened there is no point in driving all the way to New Orleans for Dave and Busters. They offer zip lining, laser tag, bowling, arcade games, and a restaurant. You could easily spend your entire day/evening in here. read more

Ok. I have to review based on going in pretty hectic conditions. I brought my daughter and friends here for her birthday get together. We did not opt for a full birthday party option here because I didn't want anything huge. It was pretty much insane but it was a Saturday evening and they were completely booked with birthday parties. We opted for the $19.99 option for unlimited bowling, gravity ropes and laser tag. This ended up costing us more in the long run but not by a lot and mostly because we were ready to go. The group of kiddos we brought (five 4th grade girls) waited for gravity ropes for over an hour. They only go up in groups and have a certain amount of time up there and they loved it but, wow...I'm glad they were patient. Then we waited 20 minutes for laser tag, not terrible and they enjoyed that too other than one of them getting kicked down the stairs in a "this is Sparta!" situation by an older kid (it was my own kid, she was fine but angry). We didn't have the option to bowl because it was a FOUR HOUR WAIT. What's strange is some of the lanes were empty. They must be reserved for parties? Anyway, we bought game play cards but after 2 hours and 2 activities we were ready to get out of there. It was so crowded you could barely move and overstimulating to the point my husband and I just starred at the chaos around us. We will be back (have the game cards) and they have some crazy all day deals and the kids loved it. On Monday nights, $10.95 allows you to play all the arcade games you want! Great deal, but don't expect to redeem any tickets for prizes... which makes sense. We met up for drinks/eats at the bar before playing games. There's no Happy Hour and an average drink will run you about $8 (bottles of beer average $5). We ordered the hummus and it came without pita bread, which is listed on the menu. We told the food runner and she admitted the error and returned about 6 minutes later with the proper accompaniments. There were two bartenders who focused most of their attention on the service bar (where waiters pick up their drinks). I had to ask for things more than once... the check, for example. We also received our appetizer and then had to ask for napkins - the bartender plopped down a handful of black beverage naps. We then asked for silverware and were given the appropriate cloth napkins with rolled silverware. We were never provided app plates to share and the same must've applied to other parties - there was another patron standing outside of the kitchen waiting on app plates as well (sounds like a training issue). We followed our app with a cauliflower pizza. It arrived overly-done. A guest informed the bartender and he brought over the manager who said that's the way it was supposed to be and if we wanted it any other way, then we needed to let the kitchen know to remove it from the oven early. He said it would take 4 1/2 minutes to make another one. We waited 15 minutes before finally getting our check (and no pizza) and leaving. They comped the food and a round of drinks for our party of three. It's only been open about a month and there are def some kinks to work out in way of speed and confidence of staff but I'm sure that will get better. Had a birthday party here for our child and it was a horrible experience. Zero communication prior to or during the event - hidden fees added to our bill with zero explanation. I would never step foot in this place again. read more
