The service was just fair, but do to the amount of tables that were filled, I wasn't surprised. My husband had a hamburger and I had the prime rib burger and they were large portions, and we both had to bring some of it home. I enjoyed my meal, my husband wasn't quite as impressed by his. I think we will go back another time when they aren't as busy, as they are very near where we live and we do enjoy a convenience.

Food was very tasty and we all cleaned our plates, even my very picky elderly step father. But the highlight of the experience was our server - Bobbi V. She was AMAZING! Super attentive, so good with my elderly parents who can be tough and overall such a pleasure to spend the afternoon with! She is also one of the bartenders so be sure to stop and see her at the bar too! It was a very nice way to spend the afternoon!

Well, if it's never happened to you then you probably haven't been to Blackwater Grill and Bar. I came in looking forward to the comedy show and dinner I and 3 others came for and a guy who was a bartender/ host ( maybe?) said you can't go upstairs because we were early ( 15 minutes to showtime). He then walked away without out welcoming us or suggesting that we have a drink at the bar, he just walked away. The waiter upstairs was preygood considering how overwhelmed he was due to the rush and understaffed bought over a glasses of swamp that looked and tasted like it had sea-monkeys from the 70's. No bottled water for sale. At the end of the show, one of the comedians announced that the show had a tip bucket that you could leave 'tips for them and he stood in the exit doorway with a bucket, partially blocking the exit ( worse than outside a Walmart or WaWa ) then the bright laser bean lights came on before anyone got a check. But when I first visited Harry and the Natives about 6 months ago I realized this place was different. Now, I can honestly say it's a place 'I look forward to' vs. a lot of The Villages food options which are 'places i settle for'. Pricing is fair for the quality you get. The drinks are Tiki inspired and delicious (I highly recommend the Village Dodo) and you can tell they pride themselves of freshness and quality. They have some of the best crab cakes I've ever had, a bit pricey but they are almost 100% crab (almost not binder/filler) and if you know the price of crab these days you'd understand the pricing. For me, a Village Dodo drink, Filet Mignon medium rare 'surf and turf' style with a crab cake, and creamed spinach side served outside with the tiki torches blaring is near perfection in a meal.

So after winning the gift card, I decided to stop in and I had the mango habanero wings! They were fantastic!! There were several old timers in there and I had fantastic conversation also. Mary, the bartender was very sweet and on top of her game. So I paid with my gift card and they tell me that the gift card was issued in 2023 but they were gonna honor it since I was a big winner. They didn't have to do that but they did and I'm glad! I will be returning for more wings and fantastic conversation.
