Went for breakfast. Our server did not seem to want to be there. Food was bland, potatoes tasted leftover, avocado was soggy like it had been frozen. Biscuit was tasty, but a little undercooked. Had to ask another server for more coffee and the check. The one positive was the low prices. read more

Nothing wrong with the service, its friendly if forgetful. We ordered the AYCE crab, only to hear a little bit later that they had sold over 168 pounds of crab, and were running out. The hisvand didnt get any tools to help him with the claws. For over $50, I wasn't impressed. I opted for a steak, cooked medium, it was over done, but edible. The steak itself was kinda just Ok, for a place that claims to ne a steakhous3, i expected more. For me, this is not a place Id return to, but your mileage may vary. read more

Edible but disappointing. Cute western decor, concrete floors. Looks like a diner to which someone applied some western motif. For a steakhouse the lunch French dip and cheesesteak sandwiches were lacking. Shaved beef was greasy and cooked to crisp. The fries tasted like the oil in the kitchen should be changed more frequently. We will not return. read more

Soooo glad we went to Kane's!! They use beef tallow instead of seed oils. We had tried another restaurant up the street first and left when they said they use vegetable oil. The portions were really good sized and the ambiance was quiet which is just what we were looking for. Service was also top notch. The entire staff was welcoming and considerate. We will absolutely come back next time we are up this way. read more

The rolls were good . Also we didn't wait to be seated by the girl at the register who was clearly hot and not very friendly, because there weren't too many in the restaurant which is odd for a Saturday night at dinner time.. anyway onto the food - my husband got the chicken fried chicken which he said was way too chewy and the breading didn't stay on, his fries were burnt also- not great.. I had the Alfredo with chicken it was ok.. my grandson got the Lobster Mac n cheese which he said was good but the lobster meat was so finely chopped he didn't get any real flavor from it.. as for the ambiance it was hot in there.. I saw several people fanning themselves with menus to try to cool off.. Maggie was a good waitress but sadly most of the rest was a miss which Is disappointing.. So Update! My grandson is sick today from his lobster Mac-n-cheese - stay away! Pick somewhere else read more

Went to Kane's Cattle Co. for the first time and had a great experience. We ordered a 6 oz sirloin and a 10 oz sirloin, along with a wedge salad and steak fries. The wedge salad was amazing, and the steak fries were hand-cut, thick, and perfectly crispy. Both steaks were cooked exactly how we ordered and tasted fantastic. The service was excellent--when we asked for a soda refill, our server brought out a glass pitcher so we had plenty. Such a nice touch! We can't wait to come back. Total bill $43.46! read more

Disgusting.... Horrible food Everything tastes of old oil and has no seasoning or love put into the food it is the worst meal we have ever had out.... This place was literally empty at 9:00 a.m. on a Friday morning for their breakfast which should say everything we should have known we should have turned around before eating food that made us feel ill... . It seem to be run on a skeleton staff of two or three people and was not very clean I should have looked at the negative Google reviews before going here because there are a lot of them and they seem to be valid with an owner who then attacks people who leave negative reviews... What a horrible horrible place.... Don't take your hard earned money here bring it to restaurants that care and serve quality homemade food not cafeteria garbage read more

My husband and I walked into to Kane's , we were greeted promptly and seated immediately. Our server , Wendy greeted us with a warm smile. She recommend we have the special: Ribeye topped with two onion rings and queso. As an appetizer she recommend the Philly Cheese Steak soup. Our food was delicious. Great recommendations Wendy. we will be back read more

We had an amazing waitress, good food and a must try for people wanting a great steak dinner.

1st of the floor in the entire place is terrible, black gum/tar stains nobody has scrapped or mopped the place is probley day 1. The food, the shrimp cocktail came out smoking from the microwave and bit in and ice cold spots, out of the steak of two on a friday night and the steak I did order dripping in oil. The sound of everyones shoes sticking to the floor did it for me. read more

Enjoyed a pleasant, and enjoyable breakfast here, definitely a place to try for any meal, well worth the time when in Crystal River.

Was looking for a place for a Tuesday night dinner. Had tried a few other places first that all had too long of a wait. Figured we'd try here. Wasn't that busy and there were lots of empty tables, but they were short staffed and between waiting for a table and waiting for a waiter to get our drink order it was nearly 45 minutes. Oh well they warned us. All of the food was really good, but the coconut shrimp and wedge salad were the standout starters. Dinner itself was solid. Not amazing, but still a good steak dinner. It feels cheap to compare this place to Texas Roadhouse, but conceptually it is similar only much better. I would go back again but unfortunately I don't live in the area. read more

My wife and I just got home from going to dinner at Kane's. Both of us had the 14oz ribeye steak with baked potatoe and a ceasar salad. It all started with the salad which was served at room temprature. (salads are supposed to be cold). When the steak got there it was undercooked, grizzely, tastless, and tough. Just a piece of meat thrown on the grill, no seasoning at all. We just could not eat it. When the check came, it was very close to $100.00. I didn't bother complaining, just took the steaks home for the dogs. Maybe they'll enjoy it. If I could give this place less than one star, I would! Don't waste your money. Texas Roadhouse has them beat by a mile! read more

My wife and I just returned home from Kanes. WOW, before I get to the good stuff, the service was impeccable. The server and Manager were delightful and attentive. We ordered the steak and a chicken dish and OMG, the portions were overly generous and all cooked to perfection. We topped dinner off with a large slice of carrot cake. When in Crystal River, dine at Kanes. read more

Walked in to celebrate my husband's birthday (party of 5). We wanted to enjoy the all you can eat crab legs. Hostess sat us and said a server would be over. Server never came. There was a server who was having a conversation with a person sitting at the bar and made eye contact with us and continued to ignore us. A man came in sat at the bar next to us and he was taken care of right away. We sat for a bit longer before finally getting up and leaving. Very disappointed. read more

We were apprehensive about going here because of some of the mixed reviews but were very glad we went! The calamari was basic but fresh and tasty with a crunchy batter. The New York Strip was lightly seasoned and grilled to order with two sides. My wife had the Alfredo with Sirloin and she was happy with her meal also. The atmosphere was comfortable and the staff was friendly. read more

We were out an about in downtown Crystal river and were craving a good steak. This place popped up on a few searches and we walked by it when were over hanging out at hunters springs. Decided this would be dinner ! We had reservations so we were seated pretty quickly. Dining area was very open with some cool kitsch for décor. Wasn't too loud which surprised me given how open it was but then they did have a coating on the ceiling that probably absorbs a lot of the sound The drink menu looked pretty good and I love old fashions so I ordered theirs. Their take on a smoked old fashioned was pretty darn good! Very mellow but with a nice bourbon finish. We started with the burrata Caprese. It was really good and fresh. Perfect bite with everything together. Ask for more bread! You'll need it Next we had the French onion soup. Delicious! Lots of gooey cheese and the flavors were great. Then for the main event we ordered the Ribeye. Ordered med rare but it came out more rare. Would rather get it under than over IMO as it can be fixed easier. Asked for re-fire and turned out pretty good. Good crust and flavor. It did not knock our socks off though. Overall a good spot with sold food but nothing that really stands out. Service was good and food came out fast. read more

The food sucks. What's worse is that when my GF ordered the French onion soup, chewing gum was melted and stuck to the bottom of the hot bowl....the melted gum and cheese on the soup looked the same....when we pointed it out, they said how did that happen and never once apologized. The steak was tasteless and hard to chew. Go elsewhere.....save yourself. read more

This restaurant was absolutely amazing! The server, Sheri, was polite, attentive, personable, friendly, informative, and helpful. We started with the fench onion soups, which was great. My husband ordered a ribeye and I ordered the sirloin and they were cooked to perfection. We both got a wedge salad as a side, and my gosh they were so FRESH! I also got Brussels sprouts and he got their homemade potato wedges. All the food was absolutely amazing, fresh, and so tasteful! He also ordered the Cypress Gentleman drink from the bar and Kyle knocked it out of the park with the taste. We wrapped up the meal with a slice of the chocolate cake, at the suggestion of Sheri, and the flavor was rich, the texture was smooth, and the cake was so moist. I would highly recommend this place to anyone local or visiting! read more

Finally got opportunity to try this place - what great experience. Server, Kyle, was excellent- polite, attentive and pleasant. We both had the blackened grouper meal with various sides. Grouper was perfect and I am picky about my fish being cooked right. I had delicious wedge salad and tasteful sweet potato. We also enjoyed the Manic Manatee Mule drink - very good. We look forward to visiting again. Thank you. read more

Came here for the wife's birthday. Our server ( Chad) was fantastic and very friendly. The food is fantastic. The wife had fried grouper sandwich with a side of potato salad and I had crab cake with steak fries. The wife said potato salad was excellent and her sandwich above awesome. My crab cake was fresh and homemade fries were great. As far as their bar goes they have more than enough liquor to satisfy anyones thirst, 7 local to Florida beers on tap along with an assortment of the normal beer selection. Of wine is an option they have a wall rack of it as well. The price to portion and quality of food. It's a home run no brainer, Kane's Cattle Co is the spot to eat at. This is the only 5 star review I have ever given and if I could have given more I would. This place has seriously impressed me in all categories. read more

Took my mother in law for Mother's Day as she wanted to try it out and we were impressed with the 4 star reviews. French onion soup was great. Wedge salad was very good as well. Steak was not very flavorful and was charred on one side. My husband ordered the Alfredo and it was nothing like traditional Alfredo. It tasted like a lemon sauce. Since my husband doesn't care for citrus, he wasn't able to eat it. We expected a little more from reading the reviews. Service was slow and not very attentive for no more tables than were in the restaurant at 3 pm. My mother in law didn't care for the open ceiling blow-in insulation. She felt it wasn't nice enough for a steak restaurant. read more

The four of us enjoyed a great dinner out on a Saturday night! The steaks were all cooked as specified the country fried chicken looked appetizing. The bottle of wine we had was well paired and had we not finished the bottle we could have taken it with us which is a plus! Our waitress Charity was friendly and attentive. Was a clean dinning area and bathroom. Well lit and not crammed close together to other diners. Very quaint downtown but shops were closed. read more

Service & food was so good. Dillon was our server & he was spot on. We all got the Greek salad with blackened chicken. It was seasoned perfectly and just the right amount of dressing. Perfect spot to have lunch and catch up with the family. Never feel rushed & some other places I've been the acoustics are so bad you can't hear each other ...not Kane's. Brenda is always so welcoming & making sure all is well. I'll be craving that salad for a while. read more
