Canes, cattle country is another one that we've got some really great meals there, some of the best steak I have had anywhere. There is a but, the last time we were there, my husband got a piece of meat that probably shouldn't have been served. That aside they have one of the best wedge salads I've ever had and they also have one of the best spinach salads I've ever had! read more

We just moved here and my wife took me here for my birthday dinner. The "special" was prime rib so I ordered that and my wife had the lemon chicken. The wedge salad came out and was delicious! Half way thru my salad, the bread and entrees arrived! I don't understand the timing as we were the only couple in the restaurant! I ordered my prime rib M rare and it came out MW. I didn't want to complain because is was my birthday and I was hungry. The meat was bland and a little chewy. Not worth $35!!!! It's a shame because the place was nice and the staff was great. My wife did love her lemon chicken. read more

For an appetizer, we had the bruschetta/mozzarella. It was excellent. For entrees, we had the 12 oz NY Strip and the 6 oz Filet Mignon. Both were cooked as ordered and very tasty. Wedge and Caesar salads were large and very good too, although I'd prefer the Caesar to be chopped up rather than whole. We also had the fries and a special sweet potato dish. Fries were excellent and the sweet potatoes were good but very sweet due to the toppings. We did love the fact that the sides were included, rather than extra like so many steakhouses. Our server, Renee, was very nice and very attentive. We would have given 5 stars, but the ambiance is not up to the quality of the food. To be honest, it is dark and rather depressing. I don't think it would take much to spruce it up a little and make it more enjoyable for special occasions. As an aside, the table next to us seemed to really be enjoying all-you-can eat crab legs! read more

Disappointing- 2 of our 3 diners ordered the 12 oz Rib Steak ($26) dinners. Steaks were cooked to desired doneness and were well seasoned. Unfortunately, they were both cut less than 1/2" thick and were tough and chewy. Not at all what was expected, especially at that price. Wedge salads were good. Brussels sprouts were boiled to mush - seasoning would have been good if they had been roasted and not so over cooked. Other diner had the pork chop special, which was very good. The 1lb Chocolate cake was delicious & more than enough for 6 to share! Bottom line - not worth the cost if you're looking for a good steak. And why else would one go to a steakhouse? read more

Our party got 3 ribeye steaks that were less than 1/2" thick . One had about 1/3 unedible fat and no seasoning. Another was unseasoned and the third seemed to be ok other than being very thin. All were cold (room temp) when served as if they were left on the counter too long before serving. The waitress did not stop back to check if our food was ok and we never saw a manager. It wasn't even that busy since we saw several employees just hanging out by the entrance. It cost $26 for each steak dinner and our entire visit was very disappointing. We will not be back or recommend Kanes to anybody that we know. read more

Great place! They grow the beef cattle. Nice inside. Service very, very good. Food was great! Sirloin - cooked to perfection. Tenderloin Oscar - SO good! Very yummy! Eat here! read more

First thing I noticed, can't tell the waiters from the customers. All dressed casual with no name tags. Relaxed atmosphere. Wedge salad and rolls were delicious. Bread was served in a plastic basket and butter was served in a plastic cup with a lid on it, not exactly what I would expect with a $35 entree. Steaks were delicious and cooked to perfection. Three of our sides were a hot mess. The vegetable of the day was asparagus, pre cooked mushy mess with absolutely no flavor. The waiter swapped mine for the Brussels sprouts that looked like cooked cabbage. The potatoes side of Parmesan redskins were also way overcooked and not much flavor. . read more

Amazing!! After spending a whole day fishing, we wanted something other than your typical fish dinner. Kane's was not first on our list, but others were closed. And we are happy they were, because their food was just amazing, everything! They're appetizers, steaks, side dishes, everything. Oh yes! And their milkshakes are a must!! Definitely they Will be first on our list next time we are in CR read more

I sooooo wanted to do a 5 and it almost became a 3. Starting with the best --- Old Fashioned was superb --- server was awesome, helpful, smart, and interesting. She made good suggestions. Sandy had a filet that was priced very well - 29 bucks for 6 oz! cooked to perfection. I ordered an appetizer that had beef tips for my dinner (remember I was drinking great cocktails). It stayed under the heatlamp way too long. It got dried out and the hollandaise broke. I could tell it would've been good, and the server agreed. BTW - I also had duckwings --- I would go back just for those. read more

The menu looked good so we tried it. The service was good, the food was terrible. I had the rib eye. It was paper thin. Advertised as 12 oz. Not even close. Tough, tasteless with lots of gristle. The sweet potato was mush. The brussel sprouts were ok. Husband had Shrimp 3 ways. The scampi had 2 little shrimp on it, the coconut shrimp was 2 tiny shrimp in a huge wad of batter with no coconut and the grilled shrimp were tiny, too. Way, way too expensive for what it was. Won't go back. read more

Good service and the fast friendly staff made the dinner of chicken wings and mashed potatoes wonderful.

DONT get the ribeye. It's insanely overpriced for how thin and flavorless it is. I asked for my steak bloody, medium rare but closer to rare and I got a well done steak.. then I sent it back and got a medium steak as a replacement. Their ribeye is extremely fatty and so thin that it's always going to be over done and the fat is not rendered, it's tough and awful and I wish two people in my party didn't waste their money on it. For a steakhouse, this was a massive disappointment.. couldn't believe me and another person sent back our steaks only to get the same issue with the refires. Don't waste your money on the ribeye, it's NOT worth it at all. read more

We have been to Kane's cattle several times. Food is good but service is always horrible. We keep trying, We want to like this place. It has potential to be a good and prestigious restaurant. It's either we get the wrong order or they take too long to help or very unprofessional. Today, Bartender was too busy socializing with other customers to take our order. They ran out of champagne during brunch. She didn't ask to take our food order. We just had to leave somewhere else. When walking to the car, we see one of the servers buying drugs in the parking lot. Disappointed. read more

I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit there on Saturday. I had the sirloin and wedge salad, family had ribeye and snapper. Everything was fantastic and my steak was cooked to perfection. They also have a great selection of local beer. Our server was excellent and the restaurant has a comfortable, local atmosphere. Definitely a must-try, we will be back! read more

Great place - had our community 1x a month ladies lunch here -8 ladies attended no complaints everyone seemed to enjoy what they had -- the wedge salad was excellent and if you want any of the salads as a side with an appetizer or meal instead of the full portion they will do that - there were 2 parties in that day so delivery of food was a bit slow but being in a group we chatted and no one seemed to mind - I have eaten at Kanes several times i recommend and would return read more

We arrived at 8:30, everyone was so polite and did not try to rush us as they close at 9. Our server Renee was SO nice, knowledgeable, and attentive. The food came out quickly And was delicious. Everything we ordered was great. We kept trying each others food and were impressed with it all. Even the kids meals were delicious! The prices were very reasonable especially for how expensive everything is these days. Definitely worth it and we will be back! read more

we're not sure why they don't have a higher rating. We had a party of 14 that they happily sat in a very timely manner. Our waitress was wonderful and attentive, kept our drinks filled and our tables full. The servings were plentiful and delicious. The food was fresh and hit the spot. Definitely going back next time we're in the area. Keep up the great work y'all!! read more

Staff friendly, steaks super disappointing. Ribeyes are 1/2 in at best and just overall sad. You shouldn't be able to get a better steak at Applebee's or Chillis than you can at a place called "cattle company" but you can. Food is McDonalds quality at steak house prices. The only reason for the second star is the staff really were as nice as could be and they know where the food quality lays, they just can't be negative about it.... read more

The ambiance is casual, the steak was out of this world. Cooked exactly as we ordered it. Husband said the milkshake to go was delicious!

We were rushed through our dinner. I asked the waitress to give us time to eat the salad and have a drink before serving my filet mignon and was told of course. Five minutes after being served the salad our dinners were brought to the table with a snarky "sorry". We were celebrating an anniversary and within 40 minutes we were out the door. The restaurant has no ambiance, bare bones decor. Steak was at best mediocre and my husbands chicken was tough and dry. Will definitely never go back read more

The food is amazing! Love the filet. We love the atmosphere and service was great too!

Sorry to report a terrible experience. Our party ordered a filet, ribeye and NY strip. All overdone. Sent back the filet to be remade, turned out great. Sent the ribeye back and the server brought the ribeye back and said " the kitchen said this is med rare". No remake was offered. Appetizers were delivered without plates or silverware. Bread was delivered after our meals were finished and we had to ask for it twice. Baked potatoe had a hair in it. Service very slow. Steak quesadilla was very good, as well as grilled crab cake although snapper was dry, we didn't eat it. Manager never came to visit the table after all our issues. read more

My husband & I stopped in for lunch for somewhere new. This is not your typical chain steakhouse food! Top notch quality, service and menu. The atmosphere could use a little jujjing up, however it's very clean with welcoming staff. We had the bruschetta and baked Brie for apps. Then my husband had the cheesesteak sub and I had the Caesar salad with grilled shrimp. Everything was above par! Excellent food...We will be back! read more

We decided to try Kane's and boy were we glad. Our server was Mike and he took great care of us. We ordered a couple appetizers and bloody marys. We love calamari and theirs is the best we've had in years. We also love charcuterie and ordered a meat cheese combo. Mike was very knowledgeable and explained what everything was. My only complaint is that the bread was so hard it hurt my mouth. Other than that, it was fantastic. The manager came over and offered us a seafood scampi plate that was to be the dinner special the chef makes early every day. The shrimp, scallops and clams were so fresh and the linguine was cooked to perfection. I can't wait to go back! read more

Amazing food & atmosphere, Justin is a great server!! Highly recommend!! There tomahawk steak is perfect for a date night!

My husband and I and two friends decided to try Kanes Cattle for dinner on Friday night, October 21. The first table we were seated at had quite a downdraft from the air conditioning duct right above us and our server was very good about allowing us to move to another table. Our server was now Jessica and she was wonderful...Johnny on the spot with drink orders then kept us updated on the status of our food order, and checked on us from time to time. There were two orders of fillet, one small sirloin and one the house special. Every one of them was enjoyed! We will definitely return and recommend to friends. read more

What a disappointment in their Beef, The only reason this is not a 2 star was their stuffed Grouper was excellent as well as the Mushrooms( a great variety) and the service. Our Fillets were served only lukewarm, not hot and sizzling, they were tasteless , and the huge gristle running the length of my fillet required a surgical knife. Ooohh bring me my Ruths Chris, delfriscos/Christners, Charlies Steakhouses. Even Longhorns!! I am sorry but for the beef prices, this was a fail. We ate their 2 weeks ago and doubt we will be back. Will go to Ipanema in Ocala or Marks Prime (Fillet their was excellent) read more

Filet Mignon was well done, ordered medium rare! Caeser salad was cooked yuck! Waitress was fabulous tho

We had seen the good reviews for this restaurant so we really wanted to like it, but I'm afraid we didn't for more than one reason. We definitely understand that restaurants are having trouble finding and keeping help now days, so we are adapting to the slower service because the wait staff are serving many more patrons now. Before I note the food issues, let me tell you that their dinner rolls and the side Caesar salad were very good. Now for the issues - My husband had a steak that was nothing special and barely warm in temperature. We both had the Brussels sprouts side and they were very close to almost cold. I had the crab cakes (and yes, one shouldn't order seafood in a steak restaurant) and they were OK, but definitely not made with lump crab and had lots of filler. As soon as we got our food, a fly started flying around our food and after 5 minutes or so, it landed in my drink (I took a picture)! At this point, we just wanted to finish the meal and move on, so I didn't want another drink. I'll admit, I don't like seeing flies in a restaurant so that was a real put-off. Honestly, it is pretty rare for us to have something bad happen to our meal or drink in a restaurant, but the few times it has, the wait staff have always offered something to make it right. Our waitress didn't even say she was sorry it happened! Most times, we'll give a restaurant a second chance if our first experience isn't good, but we both decided we are done with this one. Thanks for listening. read more

We were a party of four with reservations at 5:30 Friday night. The service was excellent. The servers were masked which we appreciated. Our assigned server was friendly, efficient and accommodating. The rolls, salad and potatoes were delish. The constructive criticism would be the crab cakes were flavorful but tepid when served. The filet mignon was disappointing as it was tough ( may have been the cut of meat) although ordered medium-rare. The blackened grouper was tasty but overcooked. The other steak was served a tad bit too raw although our server returned it to the kitchen to rectify and it was. A pleasant evening. Thank you read more
