I've passed by this place dozens of times, but since it's in a sketch strip mall, ya kinda pass it by without a second look. The signage is terrible as it sits in between Kellys and Dominos. So let me be clear, the food itself was decent, which is why I gave it 2 stars. However the value is horrendous! Now I understand that given the current political climate that inflation is a thing, but 1 the menu is not updated to current prices and their website is nonexistent. My buddy and I ordered 2 regular cheese steaks "hero" style which included 1 slice of tomato, an undetermined amount of onion, and a smidge of 1/2 wilted lettuce which turned out to be slightly larger than a stadium sized hotdog 8" maybe..? Fountain drinks were extra with only one size available so 2 of those were added to the order. The bill was almost $33!!!! Let me emphasize that although the quality was decent at best, this was in no way a lunch from Tony Luke's!! The restaurant is clean, but there was zero customers in there to dirty it up. Philly Cheese Steak 4.75 stars. Rounded up to 5 Star Bread is soft with pull, excellent quality and I will ask to buy bread alone as it is that good. The cheese Inc. with the meat Philly style was white in color and very well-balanced and very well melted. The reason for a .25 star was the meat. More clumpy style not shaved. It's the only thing I could find wrong with the sandwich. Excellent excellent excellent don't expect to be high Greece but this is truly a damn good sandwich. $12.14 large sandwich. Used to really like this place. Food is not the same and prices are Crazy. I just paid 19 for a small cheesesteak and ff. The cheesesteak was missing must of the guys. I sadly will not be back. Ps. Disappointed. Wanted the cheesesteak. Got what was a cheesesteak hoagie style with mayo lettuce and tomato I was able to pick off most of the lettuce and tomato but the mayo I couldn't remove and it ruined the sandwich. I am very surprised at the 4 star rating. The place is clean and they do use fresh ingredients. Now onto the reality. I waited for my cheesesteak for 30 minutes after paying $13 for a small combo. During that time others were piling up waiting and the cashier even got nasty with a delivery driver when they did not have an order ready when it was ordered an hour prior. She was yelling him out the door. It was horrible no matter who was right. My food was hot and fresh. They had good mushrooms and ingredients but it didn't fit well together. They globbed like 5 tablespoons of mayo on it. The cheese on a cheesesteak should melt into the meat, this stuff was just stringy throughout and the bread was too thick and crumbly. What a great find. If you're a cheesesteak fan drop in and get one. The sandwiches are excellent. I haven't found a cheesesteak anywhere in North Central Florida that is as good as what I had at Steak Out. They also have shakes made the old fashioned way. The restaurant is simple inside but is clean, and I mean super clean. There wasn't a drop of salt on a table to be found. All the condiments were well stocked and organized. The bathroom was spotless. The floors were kept. Unbelievably clean. Victory. Steak Out appears run by a small family that takes pride in what they do. I liked the size of the menu. There's a decent selection of sandwiches but not TOO much to choose from. This is usually a good indicator that everything you are ordering is going to be fresh. My apologies for not getting a picture but I was so hungry and the sandwich was so good I attacked it. Pro Tip - They make an amazing horseradish sauce. If your sandwich doesn't come with it ask for some on the side. It was a nice accompaniment for my sweet potato fries too. read more

After kayaking with the manatees for 3 hours we were hungry. Found this wonderful restaurant on Yelp. Drove in the right direction home . The place was very clean and welcoming. I ordered the Thursday lunch special, the Italian, my favorite, Hubby ordered the very large cheesesteak with everything. Both were delicious. Homemade chips were good. The lady/owner was very sweet and made sure we had everything we needed including a fork for the cheesesteak and engaged as to where we were from (Texas) and gave us tips on our upcoming trip to St. Augustine. Excellent service. Quality sandwiches and Ingredients. The bacon and cheese on the turkey club was very tasty. Homemade chicken salad with grape slices in it on a fresh croissant. The waffle sweet potato fries with honey mustard or the horse radish dip will make your head roll. The chicken tenders and fries were better than a typical restaurant like chili's or Applebee's. Well we decided to try a new place and was very disappointed. They have limited seating which we like every other table closed with signs clearly on them. We decided to wait in line and order them wait on a table as a couple looked like they were done. The people in front of us ordered and the owner told them quietly to just go take a closed table. We went up and was told we had to get ours to go. Ok I get that it may have been regular customers but u do this in front of customers not right at all. We have been here before and had good experience and good food. Not the case today. Two sandwiches regular size not large $27.00 to start. No mushrooms was told the truck didn't come in. This sub shop had a great Philly steak ... Good every time for over a year... Then new owners took over while back...ate once after new owners... Good sub! Then we ate there this week.... Steak out subs, the name fits. I ordered a X Lg philly cheesesteak. Paid a big 11.95, got home, I got a cheesesteak hoagie with about 5 oz. Of steak, hot tomato and hot lettuce. I wish I could give this place one stars! First of all, the cheesesteaks were DISGUSTING and Disturbing. They had zero meat and I basically had to eat a stale loaf of bread. I asked for extra hots. It had zero hots. The person taking my order made me repeat the order six times. What a waste of money and time! Very tasty and fresh sub shop! The steak subs are made with sliced rib eye steak and the hearty flavor stands out! No frozen garbage here synonymous with the inferior chain sub shops. My hubby and I stopped by this afternoon for a quick lunch and had the steak and provolone sub, made to order homemade potato chips and fantastic homemade chocolate chip cookies. Delicious! We'll be back again. And again! Next to try: their Reuben sandwich, Italian sub and pressed Cuban sandwich. I'm sure those will be just as tasty. Yummy! read more

This is the best cheesesteak/sub shop in the surrounding area. I have eaten here several times since they opened in August. The cheesesteak sub is awesome. I have tried several other sandwiches on the menu and they were really good too. Everything is made fresh to order, so be patient. In reference to the previous comment. I have ordered food to go also and it has never been soggy, always hot and fresh! As far as pricey goes, I was always told, you get what you pay for. I think that stands true here.
