Bloody Mary.

We took a locals recommendation at ate there. Best meal we had at Cedar Key. We originally were going to order hamburgers as per our recommendation, but when we checked out the menu we were surprised to see fresh fish ( Fried Mullet and fried flounder were our choices, fresh southern vegetables; I ordered the cabbage and zipper peas. He had the zipper peas and fries. The service was excellent, friendly and fast. This place has inside and outside seating. Annie's is so quaint outside and has plants everywhere. Go get some delicious food there!

Anne's cafe is a great place to support local and have a yummy breakfast! I had the western omelet with sausage, home fried potatoes, and a biscuit. My friend had the one egg and bacon with a biscuit and a side of sausage gravy. My omelet was delicious and HUGE (3 eggs is a lot) and the biscuit was so yummy and perfectly moist with a crispy bottom. Yum, I could go for another right now. The sausage gravy was delish and a great consistency to serve over the crispy biscuit. Everyone was very friendly and it was so great to see the locals saying hi to everyone they knew. I loved the small town vibes and food.

Cute sign on the porch at Annie's Cafe.

My wife and I went to Annie's Cafe on 12/11/25 for lunch. It is a small casual place run by several wonderful women. At first we sat outside but moved inside when a table became available as it got too cold out there. My wife ordered a large hamburger with fried mushrooms and I got a BLT and onion rings. The food was great. We also liked several cute signs that they had around the place. Our server was excellent, very friendly and attentive. We had a good time there.

Definitely 5 stars. The team was so warm and friendly. Felt like we were hanging out at a friend's home. We really enjoyed breakfast out on the deck with water vie. I had a delicious blackened grouper with grits and a biscuit special, which was amazing and a great way to mix up breakfast proteins. Very kid-friendly as well.

Great spot on the way into cedar key - outdoor seating on the deck or screened in porch (dogs welcome on deck) and I door seating as well Grouper sandwich was delicious as was my side of steamed cabbage and corn nuggets! Yum!! They offer a buddy burger for dogs as well

I arrived in Cedar Key on a late August weekend without a plan....I ended up here at Annie's my first afternoon on a recommendation with local clam and oyster icon Capt Bobby. We sat out outside (on the screened porch) and Kelly promptly greeted us. She was friendly and attentive. Since I'm on vacation, and they have Rolling Rock, I opted for that - not easily found anymore! Light and crisp for a hot summer day. A few options were not available and Kelly suggested not going with a couple either.... Capt Bobby had a burger! I heard the burgers were good, but I wanted something seafood/fish related...so instead I ended up with the flounder sandwich on Kelly's recommendation. It came with a side, Cole slaw but I couldn't resist getting a side of hush puppies as well. I have had really good hush puppies in my time... but these were hands down, the best hush puppies on the planet. Light and fluffy, super flavorful. YUM! I could have just eaten a couple of orders of those. But my flounder sandwich was really good too, fresh. Great choices for my first meal in town. I ate the whole thing. I was so full, I couldn't eat anything else the rest of the day/night!

Western Omelet. Make sure you order the sausage gravy fasgoes quickly! quickly!

We came to spend the weekend at Cedar Key, and Annie's definitely has the best breakfast by far! You'll want to sit outside to enjoy the beautiful estuary island view. Service was fast and with a great big smile

We love coming to Annie's for breakfast. Try the breakfast with mullet. Enjoy your coffee while watching the trout jump in the marsh.

Stopped to try out this coffee shop while in the Cedar Key area one morning. I did not know…read moreanything about it before stopping, but was impressed with the entire experience! While visiting family nearby in Chiefland, we stopped into Cedar Key one morning before our trip concluded. It was a Wednesday in July, and overall the area was not super busy. We came up to The Prickly Palm around noon on a Wednesday in July, and were one of a few customers there. This coffee trailer is located in the main part of Cedar Key. I recently learned that they used to have a brick and mortar, but that was unfortunately destroyed by the hurricane last year. Despite this, their trailer and whole current set-up is very cute and inviting. The trailer is set up along 2nd Street, and sits in the back of the lot. You will see a sandwich board sign indicating where the lot is, along with a ton of outdoor seating under tents. There is not a dedicated parking lot specifically for The Prickly Pear, but we had no issue finding street parking right near the entrance. The menu here is very diverse and full of variety! Not only do they have coffee, but there are also smoothies, açaí bowls, milkshakes, and breakfast items. I was especially impressed with the variety of flavoring for the coffees. Sometimes, places only have a few flavors. However, there was a solid collection of flavors and different combinations marketed for customers to choose from! It seems like there are seasonal options available, as they had a lot of banana coffee options on this particular day. I appreciated the different sizing options for the coffee. Especially for the iced, as typically a lot of local coffee places do not have bigger sizes (comparable to a Dunkin or Starbucks). The Large Iced is 32OZ, which was a pleasant surprise! They did seem to have a size for everyone, whether they want a lot of coffee or just a regular amount. I personally ended up ordering a Large Iced Banana Nut Mocha Latte, but requested half of the syrups to tone down the sweetness. It was really good! I am iffy at times on banana flavoring, as I am not a fan of artificial banana. Even so, I liked this latte and enjoyed it throughout the afternoon. The others I was with all enjoyed their drinks as well! This was my first time visiting here, and the employees could not have been more welcoming! I asked for recommendations and their favorites, and they gave a lot of good suggestions and information. There were three of us total, each getting a large latte or cold brew. The total was a little under $30 for all of it. So, this place is a little more expensive than other spots, but I do believe the value is there. Plus, you are supporting a small business which is a win! Loved visiting The Prickly Palm for the first time. We tend to come to the area at least once a year, and I look forward to our next visit so I can make another trip to The Prickly Palm for a delicious latte! I would recommend giving this spot a try if you find yourself in Cedar Key.

The service is good but at times it can get busy and then it may be a little slower but still fantastic. I do enjoy coming here when out at Cedar Key.
