Best burger on this side or any side of the gondola the burger was really good. I could tell because I ate it.

One of the most beautiful and meticulous container gardens greets you. The building design and wood even the floor pattern are full of character. Excellent personable service with kindness. The fish was perfectly seasoned and fried next to the most delicious sliced seasonal tomato. Tea was fresh. Go out of your way for this. Best thing I had in Cedar Key and we were on our way out. The atmosphere was quaint, everything you come to expect from cedar key. The servers are friendly and communicative and, There's is parking up front which is a big plus. We ordered the Santa Fe omelet and the biscuits and gravy which were delicious, the gravy was well seasoned and with tons of tender flavorful sausage just the way I like it. Amazing waitstaff made for a very pleasant breakfast in a kicked back setting. My sausage and cheese omelette came stuffed with two complete sausage Pattie's and a generous amount of cheese. Home fries and made daily and delicious. Sat in the screened in porch and enjoyed watching the birds come and go in the marsh. read more

Great and consistent place to eat. Staff is personable and friendly, and always worth the visit for breakfast. Haven't tried the other meals but always tell anyone heading to Cedar Key, before a charter or little vacation, Annie's is a definite stop for food. read more

I prefer mom and pops to national chains, but that's not a creative license for terrible service. We weren't greeted and didn't know if we sat ourselves or assigned a table, after asking one of the several waitresses who walked by we were told it's self seating and they were no longer serving breakfast. It was 10:45 and the menu said breakfast was served until 11:30. What made it worse was several plates of breakfast were being served to other customers. After finding a clean table, we walked out after several minutes of not being given menus or asked for our drink orders. We felt like maybe local and regulars got good service and we felt unwelcome and unwanted. read more

Good breakfast! Had breakfast there on our way out of Cedar Key. Split the biscuits and gravy with husband and they give you plenty. Very tasty! Service was ok. Didn't get a refill on coffee or cream. Worth the stop. read more

FYI no fresh seafood. BBQ pork is diced pork that u add the sauce to. Beware... deck chairs can hold a lot of water... even if some chairs r dry, yours may not be. I am soaked... server response was "that can't be helped". Well yes It could have been...chairs that soak in water can not be used or can b repaired. Staff is not wearing masks. read more

Best cheeseburger you'll ever eat. Get it with fried okra instead of French fries and you can pat yourself on the back for having a healthy lunch. Not sure how this place is rated 3 1/2 stars. Annie's is definitely a five star dive!!!! If you are in Cedar Key, this is the place to go for breakfast. We had perfectly cooked eggs, homemade sausage patties, crispy hash browns, and biscuits & gravy - just like your grandmom would make. Everything was delicious - especially the biscuits and the potatoes. They have a zesty Louisiana hot sauce on the table and just a drop or two will do. Looking forward to our next visit. Grilled Grouper and Grits for brekkie, Mates! Dog-friendly deck. Great service - all served in a homestyle place where hot, delicious comfort food is served promptly. The grits and biscuits are awesome! He had the Western Omelette with caramelized onions inside. I went for the fish breakfast plate with fresh tomatoes, grits (perfect grits) and a biscuit. Next time, I may order eggs on the side or another biscuit ... or both! This is place is perfect to fuel up before a big day of cycling and paddling and photography. Parking is limited here so we came on bikes over the bridge from the campground. On Sunday at 10AM the place was hopping, but there was seating on the deck. The seats are boat chairs - verrrry comfy. There are not a ton of breakfast options on the key, but Annie's is worth a visit if you're looking for an Old Florida experience. The ambiance is definitely "Old Florida" and some of the local patrons reinforce the culture - women with bare feet, fishermen fresh off the boat, etc. If it's cool, I recommend sitting outside for the view. We've eaten here for breakfast plenty of times over the years, and I can't remember ever having anything that tastes spectacular nor anything that I was sorry I had ordered. It's a good breakfast at a fair price. The service is friendly and hospitable. They work hard but at time seem a little busy (I had to ask for water twice and never got a refill on my coffee). My feeling is that you should visit Annie's because it feels very much like Cedar Key - good people, authentic culture, and decent food. read more

I was having a great day out with some local friends when i was shown this lil gem. since im now a full-time resident.Finding great food to eat and talk about is important to me. So onto lunch. burgers are a great way to guage how much a place cares about the rest of the menu.so I'd been hearing alot about these magnificent burgers and i said why not. Besides it had to be good. And it was INCREDIBLE!. All of it was fresh. I will start with the positive, the food was okay (but only okay, not great). No air conditioning even though this is in Florida. Staff was incredibly rude and wouldn't even look to see if I needed more water. And really I have to flag somebody down for ketchup even though I ordered fries? No refills on soda. So you pay $1.50 for one can of coke. And they do not take credit cards. AVOID.. There is plenty of awesome food in cedar key. Tony's and kona joes are right next door. Down town and on dock street there is a wide variety of great little joints. And then there is Robinson's seafood on the highway a few miles inland next to the dollar general. read more

My family of 5 all agreed we would never return to this place. First of all, our waitress was gross... greasy hair and nasty fingernails....not appetizing! I could have over looked that had she been a decent waitress. I asked her "what vegetables come in the veggie omelet" she replies very rudely "everything but lettuce" are you freaking kidding me? So then I proceed to create my own veggie omelet telling her only the things I do want since she never told me what actually came on the veggie omelet. I order an omelet with "onion, peppers, mushrooms and spinach" turns out they don't have "mushrooms OR spinach" hmmmm would have expected that on my veggie omelet "with everything but lettuce" Everyone's food came out at a different time, and it was all extremely greasy! I probably would have given them a second chance on the food had the server not been so rude! I never write reviews about bad service, I have been a waitress before too and I am always very patient and forgiving with servers. What I mentioned above was just one of the several rude comments she made. read more
