I purchased a 4 bedroom combo through livingsocial.com, and let me say this - even with the deep discounted price : It is NOT worth it! 1) They showed up 30 minutes late 2) They do not do windows - so I ended up bargaining them down to $3 a window, which added about $45 more than what I already paid 3) Common areas listed under their fine print does not include basement - even though all 4 bedrooms + other common ares do not add up to 4000 sq feet - so I ended up paying another $40 to have the basement cleaned. 4) Part of the house they actually cleaned smelled like bleach, and it pretty much lasted for the rest of the week - talk about vomit. 5) After all the extras, the Spanish workers wanted & starred at me for a tip at the end of the session... come on seriously?? I paid $200 total for that half a$$ cleaning job All in all, I do not recommend them for anything other than making your house smell like the hospital for 5 whole days. read more

This has to be the worst cleaning company in the DMV. I worked with them for several years, including when they were under the name Greenmaidworks, and then they changed management. Once that happened, it all went downhill. First, they repeated mixed up cleaning dates. Second, they billed incorrectly. Then when I tried to resolve it, it was hard to reach a person or I received an aggressive response. But the last incident took the cake because I told them over the phone to skip a cleaning date, but they sent a crew anyway. When I asked them to leave my house, the director called me a liar and said he would charge me anyway, which he did. Needless to say, I will not be using them again. read more

To be honest, I was about to write a negative review because i was waiting for the cleaning staff to come and truly thought that they would be a no show.....but then Maria and Gloria came and they were totally worth the wait. They were very courteous and thorough. My place is gorgeously clean. My bathroom is the cleanest it has ever been. They even pulled out the radiator cover to clean underneath. In regards to the delay, my guess is that MTP is probably a little overwhelmed now that the living social deal is coming due... So maybe a little patience is needed. Fantastic job. I initially saw them on Living Social so I contacted them about that to do a cleaning in our house before we listed it on the market. Because it was considered a "deep clean" I couldn't use the Living Social, but they did the service for $150. In my opinion, it was worth every penny. They got us on their schedule at a time that worked for us, and very quickly at that. Three people came to take care of our 3 bedroom home. They got marks off of our flat top stove that I have scrubbed endlessly to no avail. They practically took the toaster apart to get all of the crumbs out. Every surface was dusted, floors vacuumed, bathrooms degrimed, microwave scrubbed, floors mopped. I would absolutely use them again. read more

I absolutely LOVE their service. I've been using them for almost a year with no complaints. They do an excellent job. They vacuum, make the beds, clean the bathrooms, the kitchen, the floors, even pick up my dogs toys. Everything is dusted and very tidy. I love when I arrive home, it smells so nice! I get the cleaning service once every two weeks. If ever I need to reschedule, even if it's the day before, they're always willing to easily fit me in and work with my schedule. They are available to come in the mornings, too, which is perfect. I just leave for work when they get there. They're also very affordable. I never imagined a middle class person like myself could afford maids. I highly recommend Maid To Please! read more

A lengthy review but worth the read! This was a pretty awful experience. We obtained a groupon from Maid To Please which offered a 3 hour cleaning session for our Baltimore row home. When I first called to redeem the groupon voucher, I was surprised to learn that most of their Saturday availability was booked. I figured this to be a good sign that these guys provided a solid cleaning service. After deciding on a date which was a few weeks from the time I called, I was told that the cleaners would arrive between 1pm and 2pm and that I would receive a confirmation phone call the day before. All gravy right? Absolutely not. The confirmation call indeed came the day before as expected, but I was informed that the cleaning crew would now be arriving between 3pm and 4pm. Unfortunately for us, we had already planned our schedules around the time that THEY had given us, and were now expecting US to change our schedules. I was not having any of this, and as politely as I could, offered to push the cleaning back an additional week. Because of the schedule change, I requested that we have an earlier appointment and I was assured that we would be first to schedule for the following week. A week later I received another confirmation call the day before our appointment, as expected, only to find out that they had yet again scheduled us for the late afternoon appointment! I was a fool to think they had actually acknowledged my request for an early time slot the week before. I explained all of this to the lady on the phone, whom I believed was the same person I had previously spoken to, but she "mysteriously" had no recollection of our conversation. Eventually, I was able to get an earlier slot.....at 7:30am. I was told that this was the only other slot available (although at this point I didn't know what to believe), and so I accepted and thanked them for the time change. Two cleaning maids arrived at 7:45am the next morning, which I thought was reasonable. They were very friendly and came prepared with all of their own cleaning supplies. Before they arrived, we had done some light cleaning ourselves so that they did not need to waste time on the easy stuff. I informed them that they did not need to clean the basement and could instead spend some extra time cleaning the other areas of the house. Big mistake on my part. The cleaning overall was sub-par for this reason: they simply missed certain parts of the house. And I'm not trying to sound nit-picky here, these were open and obvious areas like behind the couches, bedroom floors, and closets. I thought I was being helpful by moving some furniture in my room to make it easier for them to get to spaces behind my bed and dresser, only to find out these spaces would be untouched. In all honestly, it seemed like the only thing they had done was make my bed and shuffle around a few items on my nightstand. The final straw came when the crew of two decided that their job was complete after a little over 2 hours of cleaning. Keep in mind that the groupon was for 3 hours, and also remember that I regrettably told them to skip the basement. Out of curiosity, I went upstairs to check my bedroom only to find that they had done very little. At the same time and unbeknownst to me, the cleaning ladies were already on their way out the door. By the time I had gone back downstairs to ask them to (re) vacuum, they were long gone. I believe that credit be given where credit is due, and so I will admit that the areas they did get to were cleaned pretty well. The bathroom showers and sinks were scrubbed, and the kitchen stove-top was thoroughly scoured. This may have been the only positive parts about this experience, and so I'm reluctant to give a 2 star rating. Perhaps some of these issues could have been avoided if I had done things differently. I would recommend being more assertive when trying to find an appointment time. And, make sure that the cleaning crew actually does a decent job within the time they have allotted for you. I am usually not a very demanding person when it comes to things like this, but I regret not speaking up sooner when I had the chance to do so. Overall, this was a terrible service. I was not pleased, with Maid to Please. I requested a spring clean on-line and called to confirm service a week before the scheduled date. When I called, I was told $123 for a spring clean, however my on-line reservation was for $98. We agreed upon a time (3:00pm) on my scheduled date. The day before, I never received a confirmation call, so I called to confirm the time. I was told by the owner that I could do either 8:00am or 4:30pm as they had booked services in DC (even thought I had already confirmed for 3:00pm the week before), so I went with 4:30pm. The day of service, I was called and told the team would be there at 4:15pm - they arrived at 5:30pm, due to "traffic." Since I ordered the spring clean, I was expecting a thourough clenaing - the lead told me they would only need 20 minutes. 20 Minutes for a spring clean? Well, they did not do a spring clean. They didnt' even do a clean. When I came back the floor had been vacuumed only in the main traffic areas - I could see dirt along the baseboard carpet, obviously did not vacumm there. Sink was not cleaned. Superficial dusting. Shower not cleaned. Counters not wiped. One of the worst clean jobs I have ever had. In fact, I had to spend anothr 1.5 hours to go over what they did not do. Isn't that the point of having someone clean for you, so you don't have to? Oh, and they charge you without giving you notice of the charge. So I called the owner an complained and I was told I would only be charged for a regular cleaning - $65 and would get a refund for the difference of $123. It took 2 weeks, and three phone calls for this to happen. Ok, so it was the end of the day and the team was ready to go home and did not want to spend time cleaning my apartment. I have used Maid To Please for seven years. They are very consistent and reliable. they are very conscience about any pets you might. I tend to get the same housekeepers in. That is a big plus. If I could give o star, I would have. I ordered a move-in clean before I moved into my townhouse (3 bedrooms 3.5 bath around 1900 sqft). Two ladies came and after one and half hour, I was told that they were done. When inspecting their job before paying, I noticed that the floor was not thoroughly swept, handrails of stairs were not wiped, the toilet bowl, through, smelled with bleach, was still dirty on the seat. As I was checking, one lady was following me and wiping everything I pointed out with a dampened clothes (that's it!). Since my movers were coming soon, I paid and let them go. Since I began to settle down and unpacking, here are more what I found. 1. the kitchen cabinets are not cleaned, possibly only cleaned the first level of shelf, not the other levels. Of course, no drawers' outside and inside were cleaned!!! 2. the doors of any rooms are not wiped (the tile floor was dirty, with visible dirt spots) 3. two guest bathrooms were not cleaned at all 4. the shelves in master bedroom closet were not cleaned at all. 5. Window bay was not wiped. 6. flat TVs are still dusty etc. I could make a long list. I began to wonder what on earth they cleaned for the money I paid. Because I made it very clear to both ladies to wipe these areas at the time they started the job and they both agreed to do so!!!!!! I was EXTREMELY disappointed!!!!!! f this is something I bought, I could have returned this service for thousands of time. They cleaned my house like the maids in hotels clean.....made my beds, offered to do my sheets, put plastic bags in all of the trash cans. House looked and smelled great when they left. I wont even give this place a single star. It is an effing disaster. First off, I understand with online deals companies can become overwhelmed. I'm not unreasonable. However, my groupon was purchased back in Spring 2012. I followed the instructions and registered for an appointment online. I was not inflexible. I would've taken any time. However, I never heard back from them. Ever. Eventually, come July, I reached BACK out to attempt to schedule an appt. They finally responded, asking for my groupon and some available dates. Again, I responded promptly and heard nothing. I responded YET AGAIN at the end of August asking for an update. The replied with the answer they could come the next week and provided 2 times. I picked a time and was ready to go. 2 days before they were to show up, the emailed again, saying they had to change the time. again, I picked a new time and proceeded to change my work schedule to come home and be there during the mid-day time (I mean, not all of us can sit at home during the week waiting for someone to come by) When I got in my car, I had a voicemail. Oops. They STILL couldn't make the time they gave me. Could I do it 3 hours later? IM SORRY. I have CHANGED MY WORK SCHEDULE to be home and you've already been unresponsive and changed the times on me?? Why the HECK would I want business from people so incompetent? I understand I had a groupon, but I expect to be treated as a paying customer...and not be given the runaround. When I told the man I would be seeking a refund, he didn't even care. We needed thorough cleaning of our not so dirty home prior to our newborn arriving home...To two cleaners did a shoddy job, missing out on obvious details (stove still with grease stains, floors not mopped, toilets not thoroughly cleaned, windows not wiped, etc)... I'm just going to be totally honest. I could EASILY clean my house so much better and in half the time. I really advise that you keep reading because you need to know what these maids did and thought was considered sanitary. I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone. To start from the beginning, we've been receiving services from Maid to Please for about 6 months. They come once a month, and every single time, something goes wrong. First of all, every time they say they're going to come at a particular time, they are 30-45 minutes late. The "crew" that typically comes consists of one lady, so it takes her at least 4 hours to clean the house. She is REALLY nice and pleasant, but for some reason she thought it was sanitary to take the mop she used to clean the toilet bowl and use it to wash the kitchen floor and surrounding hardwood floors. Now, my dog, myself and the rest of my family are walking all over fecal coliform bacteria and tracking it into our beds and every other part of the house. Who does that?? Additionally, almost every time we received service there was a communication mishap and the maid/maids (we never knew who was going to show up) didn't clean the basement. This happened twice and we were still charged for her cleaning the basement. Depending on the maid, sometimes tables weren't even dusted and floors weren't even vacuumed. The maids NEVER dusted behind objects, and as is stated in another review of this company, it seemed like they just moved around objects in a room to make it look like it was cleaned. The bathroom and kitchen were the only rooms that looked like they were cleaned professionally. Every other room appeared as if I had quickly cleaned them in 5 minutes. Overall, if you have to take ANYTHING from this review, just remember that the maid used the toilet bowl mop to wash our kitchen and downstairs floors. That should be reason enough not to use this company's services. read more

I requested the the Deep clean for a move out and with the coupon provided on Yelp I received a great deal for this service. Cleaners arrived just inside their hour ETA time. They cleaned everything as originally requested to include top of stove (inside is extra). Besides a few missed spots (dirt on kitchen floor) I was very pleased with service. They were in and out in an hour. Window cleaning was not part of service which was a bummer. read more

If I were paying them a fortune to clean my two bedroom/two bath condo, I would not be happy. However they are very affordable. The two housekeepers come in and are gone with in an hour. I keep a typically clean place so they are just typically tiding things up. I use another service that is expense but totally worth the money when I need a deep clean. After receiving a referral from a family member, I called Maid To Please to schedule a deep cleaning of my 2bd/1ba, 1200 sq. ft. apartment. Maria was very pleasant on the phone, confirmed a time/date, and sent two ladies the next morning at 7am sharp. They did amazing work on my kitchen and bathroom, mopped the hardwood, and even cleaned my balcony... The cleaning crews are very hardworking, professional, and courteous... they take their time and never seem to be in a hurry or rushing to finish the job. Plus, if you schedule a recurring appointment at the same time slot, you'll likely see the same crew each time (which matters to some people). And... be sure to tip them well! read more

I bought the Groupon for a 1-hour cleaning (with 2 maids) which was enough time to do my one-bedroom apartment. I was pleased with the result, especially with the sparkling bathroom and bathtub. They weren't particularly thorough though but I guess that is to be expected with a 1-hour time limit. I would say that paying $49 was a great deal but I don't think the same cleaning service is worth it at the regular price of $100 for 1-hour of cleaning. read more

We started using Maid to Please for biweekly cleanings a few months ago. They do a great job and their prices are very reasonable for a cleaning service in this area. We have a 3-story, 2000+ sq ft townhouse and it runs us $100 for the cleaning. We have two women show up for each cleaning and it usually takes them a little less than 2 hours to thoroughly clean our whole house. Hiring Maid to Please has made life so much easier. It's great to not have to worry about cleaning after work or on the weekends. read more

They send a different team every week. The one that came the first time was great. I have been with Maid to Please for the past three years and they are far and away the BEST cleaning service I have EVER had. I have used 9 cleaning services over the years and some were good and some not so good. I was dissatisfied with the last one so I tried Maid To Please because they charged by the cleaning not by the hr. They blew me away. My apartment has never looked so clean or smelled so good. I now have them come every month and even my parents were impressed by how clean everything was. If you want top notch cleaning at a great rate. They are the people to call. To their credit, they scheduled an appointment the same day I requested one. Unfortunately, their performance was not thorough and not good enough to warrant the $120 charge. This was a move-in clean and my landlord had already cleaned the place more or less. Unfortunately, even though there was very little that needed significant cleaning, the maids missed a lot of little things--dirt and dust in and on the cabinets, dried-food stuck to the freezer's inside, etc. It seemed like they had done the bare minimum instead of meeting a high standard that I expected and that would've resulted in my using their services again. read more

Extremely disappointed with Maid To Please. We have used them a few times before, and they always arrive at the last minute, and the house never looks fully clean when they are finished. However, they are pretty cheap so we decided to use them again this past weekend, since we have family visiting.... but THEY NEVER SHOWED UP! We waited for 2.5 hours on Saturday morning, and never received a call or any contact letting us know they were not going to come. We made this appointment 3 weeks ago, and I have the email confirming our appointment. It is extremely unprofessional to not show up when you are scheduled. If there was a problem, they should have let us know. We have tried to contact them since the no-show, and they haven't even responded to our calls.
