The first person came out on Tuesday walked around the house without touching anything and said his boss would have to come back with leak detection equipment. They were supposed to come between 8-12 today (7/17) a week after the problem started and they KNOW we have no water in our house. They no called no showed today. I've been calling and emailing and no one answers the phone there. No one calls back. No one responded to my messages. And now they're closed for the day and it's another weekend without water. I'm going to tell AHS if they are about to lose a customer over this. We've been with them 6 years and have never experienced anything like this. How rude and unprofessional to just not bother communicating with someone and just not bother showing up. They're supposed to be open from 8-5 or 9-6 whichever site you want to believe. But sure enough at 3:30 on Friday their voicemail says they're closed. Hope they all get to enjoy their weekends. I won't be. UPDATE: Finally got them on the phone, told Whitney I was recording the call and she told me the equipment they needed to detect my leak had been broke on Friday and had now been repaired and someone could be out Wednesday. I never got a dispatch email so I had zero faith she'd scheduled anything. Tuesday morning, I had this email: "Good morning, this is Rescue your air and drain. I wanted to make you aware, the equipment needed to perform this job is not available. I do apologize for the inconvenience. As soon as the equipment is available, we will reach out to get you back on schedule. We have already made AHS aware as well. Thanks "

The guy showed up to…read morecheck on a faulty breaker and then disappeared for 5 hours saying he was going to buy a part. Came back and then disappeared again saying he needed to replace the service panel. Now he's back again and looking confused. My father just was discharged from the hospital for a 17 day stay and has medical appliances that need to be plugged in and powered on. On top of that i bought 200 dollars with of refrigerated food and frozen food last night that has been melting all day. The landlord chose this company to come out here for some reason but I'm not even sure if this democrat is a licensed electrician. I would NEVER recommend this company for anything at all. They are low budget and irresponsible and won't answer or return any calls. They have 10 phone numbers listed and won't answer a single one.

No one would consider this acceptable, when brought to Ray, the owners attention, he said someone would be here the next day. That was last Monday. We have tried for the last 8 days to get him to return to replace the boards. He has made appointments to return and either not called, not shown or when called - not returned the call or rescheduled just to not show up or call all over again. He was due to be here today at 10:30 and again no show and no call, So today I post this so that others in the area will not be subjected to this lack of caring for the customer and taking ownership to stand behind your work.

In a previous review, I gave Choate's a one star review. Jason from the company asked me to contact…read morehim, and I did. We discussed the price issue, and he was very gracious. We arrived at a compromise that satisfied both of us. Therefore, I'm now giving Choate's a five star review.

Choate's installed a complete HAVAC system for us 9 years ago. I called them on a Friday because…read morethe AC was not cooling. Was given a Saturday appt. from 1-7 PM. The tech spent over two hours and took 22 photos of the AC system, the furnace, the hot water tank, the main breaker box. 22 photos trying to find something else to tell us needed replacing. He said we had a leak but he could not find it. He said he could do a pressure test for $400. and keep looking, or we could buy a complete new AC system for $10,000. I asked if he would refill system with refrigerant while we considered our options. He said that would cost $190 a pound for the refrigerant which required 8 pounds, for a cost of $1,520. Our system still had 12 months of original warranty remaining but the tech was of no assistance in determining if the leak was even in one of the AC components still under warranty. He was only interested in selling more testing, or a complete new system. The next day I called another company. He showed up on Sunday no less, found the leak in 30 minutes, tightened a connection, added 2 pounds of refrigerant, and charged us $260. for a SUNDAY service call ! I paid Choate's $159. for their trip charge plus a diagnostic fee, which was " You have a leak." And remember my system was installed by Choate's and still under warranty. Stay away from Choate's, run away from Choate's as fast as you can.
