The first person came out on Tuesday walked around the house without touching anything and said his boss would have to come back with leak detection equipment. They were supposed to come between 8-12 today (7/17) a week after the problem started and they KNOW we have no water in our house. They no called no showed today. I've been calling and emailing and no one answers the phone there. No one calls back. No one responded to my messages. And now they're closed for the day and it's another weekend without water. I'm going to tell AHS if they are about to lose a customer over this. We've been with them 6 years and have never experienced anything like this. How rude and unprofessional to just not bother communicating with someone and just not bother showing up. They're supposed to be open from 8-5 or 9-6 whichever site you want to believe. But sure enough at 3:30 on Friday their voicemail says they're closed. Hope they all get to enjoy their weekends. I won't be. UPDATE: Finally got them on the phone, told Whitney I was recording the call and she told me the equipment they needed to detect my leak had been broke on Friday and had now been repaired and someone could be out Wednesday. I never got a dispatch email so I had zero faith she'd scheduled anything. Tuesday morning, I had this email: "Good morning, this is Rescue your air and drain. I wanted to make you aware, the equipment needed to perform this job is not available. I do apologize for the inconvenience. As soon as the equipment is available, we will reach out to get you back on schedule. We have already made AHS aware as well. Thanks "

In a previous review, I gave Choate's a one star review. Jason from the company asked me to contact…read morehim, and I did. We discussed the price issue, and he was very gracious. We arrived at a compromise that satisfied both of us. Therefore, I'm now giving Choate's a five star review.

Choate's installed a complete HAVAC system for us 9 years ago. I called them on a Friday because…read morethe AC was not cooling. Was given a Saturday appt. from 1-7 PM. The tech spent over two hours and took 22 photos of the AC system, the furnace, the hot water tank, the main breaker box. 22 photos trying to find something else to tell us needed replacing. He said we had a leak but he could not find it. He said he could do a pressure test for $400. and keep looking, or we could buy a complete new AC system for $10,000. I asked if he would refill system with refrigerant while we considered our options. He said that would cost $190 a pound for the refrigerant which required 8 pounds, for a cost of $1,520. Our system still had 12 months of original warranty remaining but the tech was of no assistance in determining if the leak was even in one of the AC components still under warranty. He was only interested in selling more testing, or a complete new system. The next day I called another company. He showed up on Sunday no less, found the leak in 30 minutes, tightened a connection, added 2 pounds of refrigerant, and charged us $260. for a SUNDAY service call ! I paid Choate's $159. for their trip charge plus a diagnostic fee, which was " You have a leak." And remember my system was installed by Choate's and still under warranty. Stay away from Choate's, run away from Choate's as fast as you can.
