The honey and I had some absolutely amazing rolled ice cream in San Ramon not too long ago so when I saw that Magical Ice Cream had rolled ice cream I was all in! The shop has quite a bit of inside seating, but no outside seating and they have a single tablet you can order from. It was honestly much easier than trying to read their small print wall menu and I liked using the tablet because I could remove several of the additional toppings (graham and oreo) from the 'Morning Call' and just leave it as straight cappuccino flavored, although I did add marshmallow thinking that it would be a whipped marshmallow but it was actually just small mini marshmallows that you would put in hot chocolate. The size of the dessert worked really well for me as it wasn't as dense as the Brazilian version, however it was still slightly bigger than what I would normally go for. That being said, it was promptly made and absolutely delicious so I would visit Magical Ice Cream again in a heartbeat! read more

I ordered a Black Sugar Milk Tea, and thought there was going to be tapioca, which wasn't the case. They charged me $7 for it. Personally felt like it was a bit overpriced, but honestly, their service was really good, and the atmosphere was fine. It's a great place if you want to catch up with friends because there are a lot of stools and tables where you can just sit and chit-chat. It's also in the corner of an intersection with one of the streets in Chinatown, so it's actually very convenient to just pop in and grab a drink. You actually order on a digital menu, so the employees inside move pretty quickly. We waited probably about 10 minutes for our drink because there is a section that's making ice cream and another section that's making drinks, but they're pretty speedy about their service. I didn't think the taste was particularly good so I lowered the average rating. There's at least two and three tables with a couple of stools nearby. It's probably not a place where you can chat for more than 30 minutes to an hour. When we were there on a Sunday afternoon, there wasn't anyone inside competing with us for tables. Most people were there just for take-out purposes. It's a convenient place to walk around from in the Chinatown region. For parking, you probably need to park wherever you can find parking in this general location, but there's definitely no parking right outside the shop itself. You probably are just doing parallel parking along the street. read more
