It was the first place I went to when we arrived in Anchorage after having driven some 2500 miles on the Alcan. We rolled into town in the wee hours of the am...and of course it was still light LMAO as we arrived on July 1. Hubs tried to convince me to wait until later in the day but I couldn't bear looking at the car anymore, and I tend to be most active at times when most women wouldn't be caught dead going out alone. So they got deposited at our new rental and I took off to go clean my vehicle. I had to find a place that stayed open 24/7 with the old school hoses you can spray at your leisure because the entire car and bikerack with bikes on board were freaking caked in mud. It was gross, and I love my car to look nice. So thanks to Yelp, I found this place! Took forever to make my car and bike rack look remotely normal again, but it did get the job done. Wish there were more like this one. This place is apparently in one of the ickier parts of town so I'm told, but nothing up here fazes me for squat since I grew up in Southern California where the constant heat and beating sun can make people exceptionally dickbaggy and more inclined to commit crimes lol. I never feel unsafe anywhere up here. Maybe that's presumptuous lol. One of the best features it has is that you can just stick your debit/credit card into the machine to start the timer and keep going without having to worry about it timing out right in the middle of a heavy suds or rinse. Prices are fairly reasonable as far as car washes go. There is also a drying function you can use, although I never use them at these places. All supplies you might need can be found here if you forget your cleaner etc. There are also vacuums available.

Although pretty identical to their CStreet location, this location has only one car wash tunnel. Like The Pink Elephant, (previous car wash) there are employees who will pre-wash your car and direct you once inside the tunnel. Other than that everything is automatic and you are on your own with drying and vacuuming etc. (free and included).

My car got almost as clean as it did with pink elephant, the new set up, misses a little bit of that personal touch that pink elephant had though. There isn't any hand drying anymore. The process is all a little bit less stressful now though. The prices and rates seem to be pretty similar, and the main focus seems to be on subscriptions. Definitely give them a shot if you're in the area and need a spring wash!

Dirty Moose = Dirty Car…read more These are AFTER pictures. I paid $150 to have my vehicle professionally cleaned, and this is how it was returned to me. Dirt and debris still around the seats and carpet, grime around the console and switches, dusty vents, dirty crevices, marks on the doors -- areas that don't look like they were even touched. I would bet the same $150 I paid that the most substantial cleaning this vehicle received was having the floor mats power washed. I've had vehicles professionally cleaned before, and so have plenty of people I know. Never have I picked one up and wondered whether anything had actually been cleaned. There wasn't even the slightest scent of a cleaning product inside this vehicle. By itself that wouldn't prove anything -- but combined with what was visibly left behind, it's pretty telling. And here's the part that really bothers me: I originally found this service through Groupon. He specifically asked me not to purchase through Groupon because he said they would take roughly half of the money. I agreed and paid him the $150 cash directly instead. I was trying to help a local business owner keep the entire payment rather than lose a large portion of it to Groupon. He got 100% of the money. I certainly didn't get 100% of the service. These were taken AFTER the $150 cleaning. I'm not asking anyone to take my word for it -- look at them. I didn't expect a 20+ year-old vehicle to be magically restored to new condition. I expected it to be CLEAN and have nice scent since I was giving it to my 88 year old grandma to run errands! There's a huge difference. I went out of my way to pay this business directly because I thought I was doing him a favor. Instead, I paid $150 and came home needing to clean the car myself. Dirty Moose?
