Dirty Moose = Dirty Car…read more These are AFTER pictures. I paid $150 to have my vehicle professionally cleaned, and this is how it was returned to me. Dirt and debris still around the seats and carpet, grime around the console and switches, dusty vents, dirty crevices, marks on the doors -- areas that don't look like they were even touched. I would bet the same $150 I paid that the most substantial cleaning this vehicle received was having the floor mats power washed. I've had vehicles professionally cleaned before, and so have plenty of people I know. Never have I picked one up and wondered whether anything had actually been cleaned. There wasn't even the slightest scent of a cleaning product inside this vehicle. By itself that wouldn't prove anything -- but combined with what was visibly left behind, it's pretty telling. And here's the part that really bothers me: I originally found this service through Groupon. He specifically asked me not to purchase through Groupon because he said they would take roughly half of the money. I agreed and paid him the $150 cash directly instead. I was trying to help a local business owner keep the entire payment rather than lose a large portion of it to Groupon. He got 100% of the money. I certainly didn't get 100% of the service. These were taken AFTER the $150 cleaning. I'm not asking anyone to take my word for it -- look at them. I didn't expect a 20+ year-old vehicle to be magically restored to new condition. I expected it to be CLEAN and have nice scent since I was giving it to my 88 year old grandma to run errands! There's a huge difference. I went out of my way to pay this business directly because I thought I was doing him a favor. Instead, I paid $150 and came home needing to clean the car myself. Dirty Moose? Unfortunately, the name fits.

Seemed good at first. Was very nice and even buffed out a small scrape without anything. But then…read moredrove my truck around using up a quarter tank of gas and the small scrape that was to be fixed looked horrible. Wanted me to bring it back to "finish sanding and re-painting" but who paints when it clearly hadn't been sanded well at that time. Big gouges that were worse than the original scrape. The clear chip protection was painted over and there was overspray all over the chrome bumper. Ended up taking it to another real body shop and it was 5 times the work to fix all that was done wrong. They had to replace the quarter panel because of all the bondo and incorrectly applied paint. Had to replace number from all overspray. Took weeks to have them fix what would have been days of work. Only take your vehicle here if you don't care what it looks like after and don't mind grade school level bodywork on your car.

Twisted Auto Detail is located on Arctic Spur Rd between Arctic Blvd and W 81st Ave in the industrial area right by the Dowling bridge. The owner of the business, Norman, is a consummate professional and easy to talk to. The Memorial Day Weekend provided me with an extra day off from work and I wanted to use that extra time to get this done. He was able to get me an appointment on Friday at 8PM the day after I texted him on his website. I left the car overnight and came out to a brand new Jeep that looked like it came in off the showroom floor at the dealership. Norman did outstanding work in the interior areas especially the seats which were in need of some real cleaning. The exterior of the car likewise made it look like the day I drove it off the lot after purchasing it a year and a half ago. The one that really amazed me the most was how clean the engine was. It was full of dirt, grime, oil stains, and dead leaves. It looked like it came off the assembly line and the pictures provided will give you a good idea on how hard he worked on this car late into the night. At $450 for all the work, this was very reasonable for a mid-size vehicle like mine. Other places I checked had quoted a couple hundred dollars more for their services. I'm all about supporting small businesses like this and I encourage others on here to see him if you want your car detailed from top to bottom.

Sergei was very friendly and accomodating in our communications getting my appointment scheduled, was ready to start on my car right on time, and did an awesome job cleaning out my car's interior. I have two little kids so the inside of my car was pretty gross with crumbs and dirt in every possible nook and cranny. I did the express one hour service, and when I picked my car up an hour later it looked brand new inside! I live outside of Anchorage so leaving my car at another detailing business for 6 - 8 hours is not really in the cards. Considering the quality of Sergei's work and the above and beyond customer service, I'm certain to be a regular customer going forward!
