Honestly just not a great wash. There are no vacuums, so no way to do any interior that I saw or was offered. The car itself didn't even get clean (see the pictures). This was the Alpine wash, the highest tier wash and it left extremely obvious dirt all around the car, wheeled tires and windows. 30$, two people to tip to "dry" the car, and it's not half as good as other options around. After a long winter my daughter had a very dirty car. We took her car to this car wash based on reviews but also simplicity. We met the initial worker and gave her our preference for type of car wash plus payment (credit card). We were able to drive through and get her car clean easily. Tipped the worker. Great car wash. I was in and out in about 10 minutes. They make it easy. You pay up front and then just drive though. You should see a total of 4 attendants: two guys before you go through the wash and two to dry you down on the way out. I really like the unlimited monthly wash plan, which is only about double the individual wash. They have 4 options. Nothing appeared overly special about the washing process but the air blow and hand towel drying combined with apparently high quality soap made my truck shine like new. I almost never get my cars washed. I can't even remember the last time I got a car washed. My car was looking particularly filthy after some 4X4 action so I splurged and got the LAVA WASH ($23). My car came out looking better-than-brand-new. It was insane. So much sparkle. How does it compare to their cheaper washes? I'm not sure. I'll probably get one of the lower-rung washes next time for comparison's sake. This setup is crazy. It's like a fun-house. You gotta pay attention to work your car through the various stations. When you put your car into neutral and hop on the automated segment...things get trippy. The constant wash of texture and color reminds me of the final scenes of 2001: A Space Odyssey. Went to car wash yesterday and after exiting the car wash I got a brand new crack along my windshield I brought it up to one the the employees and he confirmed that the crack was new and wasn't there before entering the car wash. Brand new car 3 months old no typical Alaska cracks yet. I asked if they were going to replace the windshield he said yes but the manager was not available. I went the next day and was informed they were not going to be pay to replace the windshield because it was due to "thermals". And they didn't believe it happened with their car wash even though their employee said they would replace it. So be aware this type of damage may happen. read more

It is not a touchless car wash for anyone wanting that, but they do an excellent job. I do recommend this place but be ready on sunny days for a very long wait. Best car wash in Anchorage. This is our go to car wash. They have different cleanings, but I always go with the "lava". My car comes out looking brand new every time. I am so happy they have people at the end to finish drying off my car so I don't have to (bring cash for tip if you like to tip). Inside the car wash is large enough to fit out F- 150 with no issues. The reason for the four star: I tried to get in to get a interior detail, but they were booked months out. They also have a book they keep all appointments in. This is how appointments get lost. I'm all washed up. I have been going to the Pink Elephant Car Wash for years. There have been a few times when there was still a little bit of grime on my car at the end, they invited me to go through again at no charge. I always get the LAVA WASH ($23) and have always been happy. The wash begins with a prewash, spray, and hand brushing. The car is then pulled through the automated carwash and roller brushes with various sprays and waxes. At the very end, two attendants hand dry the car and clean the door jams. I have never experienced any damage to my car or noticed any swirl marks on my clearcoat. They get the full five stars for their high-quality, attention to detail, and consistency over a long period of time. Love my husband and how he can take control. They spend extra time washing your wheels and getting your bumpers right. These laser or touchless washes in town are okay good for light stuff but when you need the winter grime off it's here we come. After that when I pulled to the side to dry off my car, it got scratched by random tables they have sitting super close to the exit that you couldn't have seen when exiting the garage. For example, my car is not completely dry when I leave my current car wash so I towel-dry it myself which I cannot do in the winter; so my car had an icy film of dusty water on it all winter because my car didn't have the team of towel-dry staff that Pink Elephant has. I have the monthly Lava pass at $59.xx/ month. It's nice the staff recognizes my truck any time I arrive. They are always friendly. Sometimes the wash does a pretty good job; and other times, I have to clean things up a bit and towel dry more after I get back home. For that reason, I think it's over-priced. I came by here on a recent weekday afternoon before resuming studies later on in the day. Pink Elephant Car Wash is located off of Dimond and Old Seward across from Midas Auto Shop and next to Allstate Insurance where the old Godfather's Pizza used to be. This is my favorite place to get a carwash especially during early spring when the snow melts and becomes a dirty mess on the roads. Unlike some other places, I like that they have a gas station island if you need to fill up before getting the car clean. The prices for gasoline are just as reasonable as other stations elsewhere with Shell being the highest-priced gas station in comparison. I usually get the $12.00 Basic Carwash which involves the Disneyland ride on the conveyor belt as well as getting the car hand-dried by the attendants who always do a thorough and efficient job on my Subaru. If you need a heavier cleaning for your car, they offer more packages at a reasonable price. Other services include the Super at $16.00 (Basic Wash plus Wheel and Tire Cleaner, Triple Foam Polish, and Clear Coat Protectant), the Ultimate at $19.00 (Super wash plus RainX Complete Surface Protectant, Armor-all Tire Shine, and Underbody Flush.....I have tried this package and I swear the Subaru looked like it came fresh off the factory line after they were done), and if you want to go all out, the Lava at $23.00 (Ultimate wash plus the Lava Bath with extra cleaning, Lava Enhanced Shine, and Lava Seal for complete exterior protection). The employees are always friendly and quick to help especially the lady at the gas station island. She does a great job moving long lines and will have you set up for your wash in just a couple of minutes. I try to tip the hand-dry attendants well who do a great job making the car looking brand new again. If this place happens to be out of the way depending where I am in town, I have no problem making the drive to come down here since I know how the car will look after being here several times in the past few months. Other carwash places may offer less for the price, but the rates are a minimal issue for me especially since I have always been happy with the quality of work and the services they have available. read more

I booked one of their interior detail cleanings- the Detail staff was exceedingly friendly and professional- they booked me- even calling the day of to confirm I was coming. the car was FILLED with husky dog fur!! Almost all the employees work with a smile on their face. I never mind the long line because it's such a nice car wash and they work very fast! This is a weird place to go because the set up is very unusual and is kind of like a maze. That being said, they do a great job and my car always comes out looking pristine. Every trip there I feel anxious and regret it when I first enter the wash, because of the set up, but after I pull my car out and see how amazing it looks, I remember why I keep coming back. read more

As far as I'm concerned, Pink Elephant is the best car wash in Anchorage and I don't know why I ever go anywhere else. Earlier this week I got my car washed elsewhere only to, almost immediately, have a tree drop some of those weird sticky buds on it so, a little frustrated, I sucked it up and decided on a second wash in one week. I've been going to Pink Elephant on and off since 2006 and never have I been disappointed in the quality of the wash or the customer service. It may even be the same cashier since I started going all those years ago but I'm not sure... she certainly has the same kind, bubbly disposition and that's always nice to pull up to! The guys who do the hand-towel drying at the end are always congenial and definitely earn their tips. If I had to find one thing to complain about... I suppose it'd be that they don't hand out free chocolate chip cookies to all their customers. Absurd? Of course. But so is the consistently high level of service I've received here for over a decade. They hit all the right marks and that's why, even though I live on the other side of town, they've always been worth the drive. read more

I'm the first to review Pink Elephant? SRSLY!? This place is the best. I went in to get my Jeep waxed, and was amazed at how great my Jeep looked after it came back. I wanted to get it detailed before the snow, (it's snowing now 3 days later) and so I got the hand wash, hand wax and detailing. They did everything except the shampooing of the interior. I have to say this is the FIRST time I've had a Jeep detailed, and they didn't get wax (white) residue all over the fenders and the soft top. They worked with me on what type of package and came up with a price that's not even on their price pages. Wonderful Customer Service! Pricey but worth it as it is the best car wash in Anchorage! I went with the lava wash which is about 26 bucks and has all the bells and whistles. Car came out spotless and there were dudes at the end to hand dry. They also offer an "express detail" which is wiping dashboards, vacuuming, throwing in some smelly good stuff for around 35 bucks for my little car. Went to the car wash today and asked manager to make sure the back of GMC Denali gets clean. The guys sprayed but didn't scrub back window like they normally do. So of course, the back of Denali didn't get clean. We talked to manager and she said they are eliminating the rewash, so if I pay for a car wash and the car doesn't get clean, oh well.
