My traditional dress was too small and couldn't zip up in the back so she used string and a shoelace concept to lace it up in the back!

This place is amazing. I've gotten both my traditional dress and my wedding dress altered here and it fits perfectly. I had my ao dai made in Vietnam and it came back incredible small to the point where I couldn't zip up my dress in the back - the ladies at Magic Needle fixed it and added even more style to the dress!! They decided to use string to keep the dress together which I've never seen before, it definitely made me feel unique. My wedding dress was shear in the back but there was a lot of scrunching when I bought it because it was too big. After she was finished with my dress, she made my dress look like it was made for me! She's so incredible in her service and her consideration for what you want as a customer. I can't wait to come back!!

This is how she altered my dress with the slip hanging out & charged me 27 dollars for this work!

Nguyet Bui with Imagine Stitch I would recommend to any friends, family or stranger. She is…read moreprofessional, patient, and passionate about what she does for a living. I had her alter my wedding dress which was long enough since I'm very tall but it was a little big on top. She did a suburb job making the straps shorter and redoing the intricate bead work my dress had. I had breast cups added for extra support and comfort and I think it looks amazing on me! I also had her bustle my train which also is seamless and was easy to explain to my MOH on how she would need to do it the day of the wedding. One of my favorite aspects about this place and Nguyet was her passion for her work. Not only does she have extensive years of experience altering wedding dresses, mother of the bride dresses, bridesmaid, prom.. You name it. She also hand makes beautiful hair pieces, jewelry and other items! She made for me a custom 25 inch hair piece that went along with my dress as well as two other hair pieces. I liked them so much that I also asked her to make hair piece for all my bridesmaids! Their dresses are all different styles and colors, varying on the theme of rose gold so I asked her to make each of them different. They are perfect!! The last item I don't think any bride during these times was expecting to need was a mask. Her handmade mask matched my dress and made me feel complete for my big day. The storefront itself I love also, as you can see in the photos it's extremely well lit and bright so you can truly see what your garment looks like. I think good lighting makes a big difference so I think her setup is great. Her prices are competitive but doable in my opinion. I was paying for most of this wedding with my fiancé so I wanted to keep things as low as I could without compromising quality. If you're like me, this is the place for you. I think she charged exactly what she should for the hard work, time and intricate detail my dress and hair pieces all had. I am happy to say many good things about her as we had such a nice experience!

I advise anyone looking to get their wedding dress dry cleaned to not use this business!…read more When I brought my dress in, it was in very good condition. I just needed a few makeup stains taken out of the chest area and the bottom of the dress was pretty dirty from the dance floor. While dropping the dress off, I showed my stains to a woman who told me that the stains would come out no problem. When I picked up my dress, I was told that the makeup stains were taken out, but the stains on the bottom were impossible to get out and that I was better off just altering the bottom to get rid of the stains. I was asked to pay the full amount of the service but argued to get 30% off. I understand if the stain couldn't come out, but wasn't willing to pay the full amount for a service that wasn't completed. When I got home and looked at the dress, I was very disappointed to see that my dress had been damaged. In multiple areas, the fabric had been worn so thin. All of the makeup stains were still very visible (a stain I would think to be pretty common on wedding dresses?). The bustle hadn't even been taken down so there were large amounts of the dress that weren't touched. Beads on the back of my dress are unthreaded and falling out. Overall I'm very sad that something so special to me has been ruined. The lady at the desk was apprehensive to give me any sort of discount and was dishonest about cleaning my dress. She also never mentioned the obvious damage that had been done and was never apologetic. Please think twice before giving your wedding dress to this business!

She ruined my wedding dress!!!! Don't trust them with your valuable items…read more I went in with my wedding dress to have altered and left having to buy an emergency dress a week and a half before my wedding. It didn't fit my body at all it was puffy and you could see though the sides at every angle.... the front is different than the original picture as I agreed to have changed in design as she said she couldn't alter it to fit me the way it was but I never agreed to the back loosing its design. lt went from a sexy v back to me looking like a 4 year old.... The pictures will show how bad of a sewing job it was and how the dress looks 100% different. I can't even begin to tell you how bad the sewing was on this dress... how they advertise wedding sewing is very misleading. The pictures speak a thousand words and you can judge for yourself how they are professional seamstresses.... I went in for a refund of the dress and alterations and at first the owner fully admitted it looked bad and didn't fit and then when I went to take the dress off she went into the back of her shop and must have talked to to someone because she came out with a defensive, stubborn having NO empathy for a bride having to deal with all of this right before her wedding.... All she said she could do was "let it out" and I could have my original dress back. Yes that's right she doesn't cut and sew a dress to your body shape she folds it all in and sews it..... so that made sense why it bunched and was puffy and made the back look puffy by my butt..... no matter what it isn't the original dress and the length now is gone and she stitching making it "original" is off too and so it still isn't good enough for me to consign. Being she refused to pay for the dress she has been giving me the run around on when to pick it up not having it unaltered when she first promised making up a story that a "fat lady" wanted to buy it for $150 l which is way below what the dead was purchased for. (A: that is horribly insulting to say about anyone and B: she was just trying to get out of spending time taking it out and I had to come back again to pick it up for a second time which I shouldn't have to do) Please please don't take your valuable items to her can you imagine if this would have been my moms dress or a $5,000 dress she jacked up and then won't take responsibility for. Not 1 I'm sorry came from her the owner.... I want my money back for the dress and she refuses to... please do the right thing and refund me the price of this dress!!!
