Made an appointment and took my Lexus E350 in for several things on 10/7....an oil change, 65000 mile service, change transmission fluid, wind shield wiper blades and fix a problem with the A/C not always working. Joe called me a while later with the costs.....giving me a breakdown for all the work at $615.20. I authorized the work. He called again toward the end of the day to say all the work was completed. I picked the car up that evening....called Magic the next day because the A/C was still not functioning and we scheduled an appointment to bring the car back in the morning on 10/13. Met with Joe that morning reminded him of the problem and that we had the vehicle there for repair the week before. He took the keys and said he would take care of it. I called at 5:25 just before they closed and there was no answer. I never heard back and they still had my vehicle. I called the next morning and asked what was going on. Daniel said he would check with the technician and call me back. Moe called me about a half hour later saying that they did check out the A/C the day before and that it needed a new flow sensor before they could complete their diagnostics. I'm thinking I already paid to have it repaired on 10/7....Moe said that when I brought it back the 2nd time that they did the diagnostics the same day (10/13). Nobody called to inform me of the situation? DON'T GO HERE!! Yikes this place is terrible. Negatives. Overcharging, bad communication, Miss Identified the Problem, Untrustworthy: told me things needed to be changed when they did not, UNSAFE: (left my car unlocked for 5 days. Didn't notice my car was gone till 3 days after I took it in the middle of their work hours.) Positives Friendly staff, easy to get to. You threatened a Mechanics Lien through the sheriff's dept to make me pay the 105 dollar Diagnostic fee. I went to this place because their 21 5 Star reviews on google. No negative reviews. When I came back to pick up my car it was left overnight unlocked. Not only that, but they told me it was going to be $2,000 to fix my car. They said my timing belt was bad, my tires were bad, my starter was bad comma and that I needed a new windshield wipers. Which are $24 which is an outrageous price by the way. They told me it was going to be $932 to fix my timing belt. Which was making a horrible clicking noise in my engine. So I personally bought the timing belt kit and ticket to a different mechanic. And they only charged me $300 to put it in. I got the part for $180 at AutoZone across the street. After all of that and the other mechanic putting in the timing belt. It turns out the only thing, that was going bad in my car we're my lifters in my engine. IT WASNT THE TIMING BELT! Which is an easy fix done by an oil change and engine cleaner look it up on YouTube. So not only did they miss diagnose my car, keep my doors unlocked, but they also horribly over charged. They lied to me about things wrong with my car that needed to be fixed. They told me I couldn't drive my car and that it needed to be fixed otherwise my timing belt would destroy my engine. I saw my old timing belt and the other mechanic also agreed there was nothing wrong with it it was basically brand-new they replace the timing belt in the car when I had only 40000 miles in the car. Magic auto is misleading and fraudulent overcharging their customers. They had Terrible service. read more

They are good with "fixing" one issue and creating another one. They tried to fix a leak by replacing my axles for $800. Get home, leak is worse and now my AC suddenly doesn't work. Take it back, they "fix" the AC they broke and call it a coincidence and charge me $104 but graciously replace a seal for free that had caused the worse leak from the same area but they missed while "fixing" the leak. Have the car back for a day, AC is now making clicking fan noise and won't blow air and then stops completely again. Take it back and they listen and say it's a second coincidence. They try to say they didn't touch the AC and that by sitting with them, not once but twice, my AC broke in 2 different ways BY ITSELF BY NOT BEING USED AT ALL. Best part is that these incompetents are the ones that "fixed" my AC last year. Don't ever go there unless you like returning your car multiple times and enjoy the clown show of Joe and Mo. read more

Well Moe and crew just saved me a thousand dollars. I brought my Ram 2500 in for a busted belt. They checked it out and found the water pump failed. So we came there between may and june both fixed our two car. One with dodge caravan and the other hyundai genesis. And guess what!? Our hyundai genesis its popped out again the "engine lights" only 3 months ago after they fixed it. What a terrible service. AN UNHAPPY CUSTOMER! I had been going to Magic Auto Center for years. I recently towed my car in when it wouldn't start. I was told my engine was SEIZED I only had 75K miles on it. They told me & also put on my receipt- RECOMMEND ENGINE REPLACEMENT. I put it up for sale & sold it next to nothing. Hrs after the guy who bought my car he calls me to tell me it is up & running!!! He sent me videos. The battery was being drained because the white cell was bad it only needed to be recharged!! I called & talked to Moe to see how this could happen? My car had been to his shop on a few occasions before so he knew my car. He says they couldn't move the engine when I brought it in and tried to tell me about another car in his shop where I could come in and see they can't move the engine? What does that have to do with my car? You cost me thousands of dollars on a BIG mistake and he takes no responsibility on top of that I paid him to look at it and couldn't care less about his mistake and was very rude on top of it. I DON'T RECOMMEND MAGIC AUTO CENTER!! In my experience they didn't know what they were doing. I wish I had taken it to another mechanic bottom line. read more

Moe looked my truck over front to back and found oil had leaked from the last change. Instead of Moe telling me I needed some bs service he said I just need a coolant flush before summer no rush. Thieves! My mechanic was Joe. I spent $750 to get my car fixed on my paper work he was suppose to fix (A/C, overheating issue, clear check engine light, and stop error code System too Rich.) He "fixed" it the same day and before I could get home my check engine light was back on. I hooked it up to a reader and the code was System too Rich. I call and let him know, he has me bring it back. It took him 2 days to "refix" the issue. I try to drive it home and before I get there, the check engine light is on again! I tell him about the issue and he tells me I need another part offers to put a used part on my car (exhaust manifold) and I decline and tell him I'll buy a new one. That was another $80 so now I'm at $830. He wanted me to pay him to put that part on, my father and fiance told him he never fixed the issue that I initially paid for so I shouldn't have to pay. Magic agreed to this and Joe had an attitude about it. Because we didn't pay the extra fee, My car has been at the shop for 4 days! To do a job that takes 2-3hrs! We call on day 3, Joe tells us he'll have it ready that day and he'll call us. It gets close to closing time, we call. Joe has an attitude that we called again and tells us to come in the morning. Now we're on Day 4. They open at 8:30am. We get here at 10:10am. My car hasn't even been touched! We tell him we want the car and he tells us to give him an hr and it'll be ready. Now we're waiting there watching him work on another car and ignore mine. After being there for 30mins he starts my car. It takes him 2 hrs to once again "fix" the issue and we don't make it home without the check engine light coming right back on. At this point we are going elsewhere because I refuse to deal with people who aren't professional or know what they're doing. Don't waste your time and money here. read more

After replacing my transmission myself, I needed to have a 'quick learn' ran on my TCM. This required the use of a special DRB III scan tool that was over $1K to purchase. The dealership wanted $180 to run this 'quick learn' procedure. I called Magic and Mo said he could do it for $45 and to bring it on by. After getting all my info, it took less than 5 minutes to hook up the scan and run the 'quick learn' on the computer. Mo took it for a quick test drive to make sure it was shifting correctly and everything worked. Magic Auto saved me $135! read more

So it was a Saturday and I was unavailable to get a hold of my mechanic because he had been on vacation that weekend. I had noticed a big oil leak coming out of the side of my 2010 VW Passat Wagon and I always knew About Magic Auto by driving by them but I hadn't really brought any cars to them. I decided to go see them because I was worried about the oil leak as it was kind of big and didn't feel comfortable driving this weekend. I was greeted by Moe, one of the owners, and he greeted me with a smile and very positive energy which I really appreciate. I explained to him my situation and he told me that's it's no problem and that I should wait while they look at it. As I waited he talked to me about his shop and the equipment they have. They were able to help resolve the oil leak in less than an hour and they also did an oil change for a very reasonable price compared to other places.
