I asked for no onions, wife ordered her food plus drink and water. My salad came out with onions. I sent it back, explaining my allergies. They took the salad back, removed the onions, and brought IT back. That's right, same salad with onions picked off. I did not have my epi-pen with me,, so i called waiter back over and explained i could not eat the salad. He promptly grabbed it and took it away. Not once did he ask why, if he replace it, if I wanted something else, Just walked away leaving me without a lunch. No manager came by to ask why I sent it back, no one checked to see if I was hungry. First bad experience here. Would like to give them an opportunity yto repair the relationship. My family and I decided to drop by this place now that we're new to the neighborhood and we were fuuuumed walking out. Firstly, there's 0 COVID heath restrictions there besides masks. Although, waiters and "managers" think it makes sense to remove the mask when talking or wear ones that are 3 times too big. This does nothing people!!! We first got there and there was a huuuge bee problem. No biggie, it's outside seating we understand. But they did nothing to try and prevent it. It gets really really frustrating as more bees start harassing more and more and we're unable to enjoy the meal at that point. Our server would come by and be swatting the bees around us. Our appetizer came out with our meals. The most surprising thing though was the gentleman behind us was clearly enjoying his beer and making plenty of comments about how bad the bees are. He was there for the football - great. The tv's we're extremely loud, loud enough for the speaker to crinkle. It was honestly everything that could and started to go wrong. One of my family members has a gluten intolerance. We asked our server where the extra menu was as soon as we got there. He repeatedly kept telling us it was on the original menu but couldn't point out where. Eventually he said he'd be back and ended up coming back with a physical separate menu I then decided to walk inside to the bar asking for a GM. The place was so dirty. The bartender insisted she was the manager and asked "what's up". I told her our situation and she mentions "the owner is actually outside let me come find him with you". Sigh. Just what Cedar Park, and my neighborhood specifically, needed. Another sports bar. Granted I wouldn't have expected this formerly a bank in a shopping center location to be another Uchi, but it woulda been nice to have another "sit down" restaurant option in the area. This place is literally across the street from one sports bar, Taps, and a half mile from the other, Contenders. Guess all the ballers in the area now have options. Lots. of options. Anyhoo, on to the review. First off, HH is 2-7 and they don't serve alcohol and don't have plans to so it's just beer and wine. They have a decent beer selection altho nothing too outre. They DO have Ace Pear on draft as well as Blue Moon. HH is $1 off mugs making them almost the same price as a pint so definitely go for the value mug. Also it's $3 off the Tower of Beer!!! Uh-huh. Impressed right?? It's a 100 oz device with a tap brought to your table (see pic and insert penile impotence joke here). We also sampled some food. Maggiores leans toward Eyetalian food with a menu of pizzas, pastas, and pepperoni pockets. They also have sammiches and burgers and wings, oh my! We tried the bacon cheese fries (cannot NOT try those) and they were good. Seasoned and crunchy covered in white cheese and smoky bacon. The portion tho in my mind was small for the $7 pricetag (and also because me n hubby can inhale some cheese fries, tho we probably shouldn't so maybe that's Maggs lookin out for our coronaries...I digress). We also got a loaded pizza to go. The pizzas are hand-tossed meaning the crust was thick around the edges. I didn't really care for the pizza too much and this is their "specialty". The crust was flavorless and the actual pizza had a mushy texture. The sauce was way too tomatoey wangy for me too. The staff were super nice and enthusiastic, just short of 15 pieces of flair enthusiastic. The place itself looks good with concrete flooring and wood fixtures and I counted 18 TV's mounted. They also have that Safari Buck game that people were gushing over on Yelp recently as well as Ms Pacman/Galaga and one pool table. Although it's a nice place and nice folks, I really don't see a need to come back for me. If I'm just looking for a place to hang with beer and wine, of course my first choice will always be the DIg. If I'm looking for sports watching, I'd go to Contenders which has hard liquor and a broader food menu. As noted, there is now a lot of competition in the area and I don't see this place measuring up once the "new" wears off. A Tower of Beer is only interesting for a minute. read more

It is located in the Randalls parking lot. We were concerned at first because all of the spaces in front were full yet the only other store close in short walking distance was a tanning salon. Upon walking in there were many empty tables, so where did the people go to? We had our choice of inside booths or tables outside. The booths are all wood and can seat six comfortablely. Our waitress, Kerry, came over quickly but we weren't ready. Her service to us through the evening was impecable. Since they have a full bar, I ordered my usual dirty martini, Kerry even asked if I wanted gin or vodka. BF got a beer. The dirty martini was good and I got three olives. We passed on appetitzers and just ordered entrees. I tried the meatball parm sandwich and BF got a 10" sausage pizza. While waiting for the food, we observed the surroundings. They have a large outdoor seating area. It was occupied by two drinking women and their five kids. There is the main dining area as you walk in with about tweleve booths. To the left was a half walled off bar area. I am not sure what they had in the far back section but there were TVs hanging from the ceiling. TV's were mounted all around and every single one of them had a sports channel on (Actually all TV's had one of four different sports on it.) Even though the fifteen odd TVs had sports on them, the audible sound was music. So I ask myself, why bother with the TV's if all you play is music. Sorry, this is a pet peeve of mine. What I found unusual was the amount of people entering with children and heading into the bar area. There are only three booths in the bar but they were packed between the adults and kids. After a while the food arrives, and Kerry asks if we want red peppeer and cheese. My meatball parm was 6 inches long with three large meatballs covered in mozzella. There was a bunch of fries that looked so good. BF and I go for the fries first and boy were we disappointed. They were hot and crunchy and looked seasoned. Except they had no seasoning, not even salt. So I salt and peppered them and no change, still bland. I cut my sandwich in half to hopefully eat it without dropping it on my shirt. My first bite and the cheese was oozy and the meatball was...Well, meaty. It too could stand some seasoning. BF shared a slice of his pizza and it was underwhelming. BF said eating this pizza was like eating a cheese and sausage sandwich, it lacked sauce and Italian seasoning. Growing up in an Italian neighborhood in Jersey, you know not to skimp on the garlic and oregano They do have a decent Happy Hour for drinks.I just don't think this is my kind of place with all the kids in the bar. read more

The prime rib dip was full of meat, that's a plus...it's wasn't all that great, I imagine it's store bought deli sliced roast beef, but the au jus saved the sandwich. This place is close to Randalls on Cypress Creek. I see it every time I am done shopping. I picked the right night to stop in for curbside! Hostess pointed out that Tuesday night was B.Y.0. Burger night (1/2 price)! Grilled, Seasoned Ground Sirloin Burger! VERY good! Hubby's was a little soggy by the time I got home. Mine was perfect! My wife and I stopped in at 8:00 Monday night for a drink/dinner. We've been to Maggiore's many times before and love the food and atmosphere. This visit we walked out unfortunately. The restaurant and bar were basically empty (4 servers were at a table rolling silverware in napkins, two bartenders were having conversation with each other as we sat at a table waiting for service). We waited several minutes then each got up and used the restroom as the staff watched us walk by. We returned to our table and waited another 5 minutes and still no service as they all were enjoying their own conversations. Dissatisfied with the service this visit. read more

I'm sad to report that even after finally coming back from covid madness that it was a huge disappointment. This used to be our neighborhood spot. We got there at 6:30pm when hardly anyone was inside, ordered entrees by 6:45 and by 7:30 still had no food with no update on when it would be out. We watched every other table who came before us get food but no dice even after we asked. 10 min turned into 20 and after finally saying we were done, they said another 5 min to pack up the food to take home. My young, starving kids and I walked out to the car, and my husband was STILL in there for another 5 min waiting. After all of that, the order was still wrong and missing items. I honestly can't tell you how fumed I am that ALL they did was comp us. The manager didn't even have the nerve to talk to us directly and apologize. That's the LEAST they could do. Customer service is key and the bare minimum was not met. I get that the kitchen was behind. I worked in the service industry before too. But this is unacceptable. I even asked our server to speak with the manager and nothing... My kids are now super cranky on a school night, not wanting to eat because all they want to do is sleep. Warm welcomes and lots of seating far from others. 6ft folks... - dining and patio open but the use of masks were not present on staff members. I'm not judging - it's the companies decision to make- Waitress was bubbly and busy. Working hard and she deserves big tips . So - where is my Ruben?? Ahh, there it is. Holy $@&t it's tall. No worries. One thing I noticed was the bread - not toasted or anything - just bread. Ok , it is listed as a classic rueben so maybe the classic just used bread. No worries - I like bread (shrug)- next thing as the sauce is on the side and it was thousand island.. not Russian. No worries - I like thousand island (shrug). So I take a bite. It's good, but missing something ... cheese!!! There's no Swiss cheese on this Reuben!?! Bread - here Sauerkraut- here Cheese? - Bueller?Bueller? Moving on. I ate it. It wasn't terrible by any means - but listing a classic Reuben and using pastrami , thousand island dressing and sauerkraut - is a let down. Whatever this Sammy is called it's tasty. Just not what I wanted. They have some other items there looked good. My wife got the Philly and this thing was massive. So. I'll prob go back for some more items. I'm very disappointed with this place. We just moved to this side of town and we were looking for a new spot and FAIL! It's Friday Happy Hour, I'm with a party of 7, they have TWO people working in the front of the house; one bartender and one waiter. I arrived late and somewhat expected to side track the waiter but by the time he came back to the table everyone was out of a drink. We all ordered drinks and food. My 3 pizza rolls (which were fabulous by the way) took an HOUR but I had to ask for them 3 times. Sadly, I am not recommending this place. One of the closest pubs to my place, so naturally the one I go to most often. In and of itself, the place is alright. Plenty of seating indoors and outside on the covered patio, which has misters during the summer when it's 600 degrees out. The food is decent, but what they may lack in quality they certainly make up for in quantity. It's not expensive and you get plenty of food. This is by far the best sports bar in Northwest Austin. I used to eat at another chain sports bar in Austin, but once I ate at this place, I refuse to go anywhere else. There are a lot of TVs inside the restaurant, and when I bring my family, we like to sit outside. They show all the major sporting events, and unlike other places, they don't have any problems switching one of their many TVs to a sport you want to watch. I several World Cup at Mags and the place was rockin! The best part about this sports bar is they have really great bartender named Tammy. She has a great personality, tell jokes, and remembers the names of every customer. Tammy turns it from a really good sports bar to a place where you feel at home (think Cheers in Cedar Park). The lunch specials are great and very reasonably priced. The wings are better than the competition, honestly (ask them to for dry ranch wings mixed with garlic parmesan if you want to try something fantastic). Ordered 4 large pizzas and a family style salad to go. Was hoping to support local. But honestly, Domino's is better pizza. It was over-done, flavorless and the crust (usually my favorite part!) was horrible. We threw most of it away. We also were missing a topping from our two topping pizza. So sorry Maggiore's but this is a foodie town, you have to do better. Consider re-vamping your dough recipe, getting fresher ingredients and more veggies on the list for the salad (horrible plain romaine, cheese, croutons).
