I am not from this area and was so excited to find this homey space. And had extremely competitive pool play. Sweetest of servers. Great space and very fine table.

Maggie Murray's Pub House is a good feel Irish pub located across the street from the Dunellen Hotel. Parking is on the streets. My friend Bob Lanza Blues Band played Saturday night. They have played here several times now. This is a fun bar, people dance and know how to have a good time. All the bartenders are very friendly and nice. They saw my friend looked dehydrated and gave her water, very unusual. Drinks are reasonability priced compared to other bars 10 minutes away. The Guinness is on tap and poured correctly.. Weekdays between 4-7 is happy hour. Tuesday they have pool leagues. Wednesday nights they have open mic, for anyone who wishes to get up and play. Friday nights there is a DJ, and on Saturday's they have a live band. Sunday afternoon they have a jazz jam. The food here isn't fancy but pretty good. They have the usual appetizers like fries, plain or with cheese , or cheese and chili, onion rings , poppers , mozzarella sticks , periogies , burgers, wraps, sandwiches, cheese steaks ,salads, pizza, and chicken. The prices are really good. They even have a popcorn machine that makes fresh popcorn the bartenders serve it at the bar. They sell package goods so if you decide to go to another restaurant that's byob you can purchase it here and take it out. There is a good mixture of ages from 20's thru 60's . It all depends on what band is playing. I've been here a few times and I'm definitely going to be returning .

Waiting for my dinner next door found this really cool and mellow bar and having a Samuel Adams Octoberfest while I wait.

By chance stopped by this place while I waited for my dinner order from next doors Plant Chicken. It was a Tuesday night and the place was pretty empty but it was a cool vibe with plenty of large TV scans spread throughout the place. I ordered a $3 Sam Adams Octoberfest which hit the spot. Will be back for a longer stay.

Haven't had a a bad meal. Restaurant quality food, not "bar" food.

Service was very good... Look like a laid-back, please, with soft music and lots of old couples.. looked like a home for most of them, which is really good to see :) looks like everyone knew everyone inside the bar.. the bar had a lot of options.. I like the fact that they had blue moon on tap and not in bottles.. price was reasonable . Got a fried pickle, which was OK... overall a good experience . 4 stars .

This was my first time at Kc's Korner, and the overall experience left me with a good impression. Like the other reviewers say here, it's a great neighborhood bar! We were a party of three. After parking in the private lot, we entered Kc's from the patio entrance in the back. We were greeted by a hosts. I think he first wanted to bring us inside, but then my friend told him we were there for the music on the patio. We ordered food. My vegetarian husband and our vegan friend both went with plain quesadillas (just with the veggies) and non-alcoholic drinks. I went all-in and ordered a Kc's Classic Smash Burger with fries, and a side of onion rings (which my hubs and I ended up sharing). My friend and husband said the quesadillas were good. My hubs said it was better than he expected being a bar and all. The onion rings were really good - tasty batter and fried perfectly. My smash burger was fantastic - hit the spot. I saw that the Patio drink menu had Surfside and Suncruiser canned drinks. I asked our bartender what she thought. She was cool and gave me her take on them. I appreciated that she chatted with me and gave honest input. So I ordered them here for the first time, and they are pretty good! That night, it looked like only 3 people were working the front of the house, so they were busy, but they were on it and were still friendly and outgoing. The place really has a good vibe. Again, great neighborhood bar!

The pick up process was smooth and they were right on time when we arrived. Everything is carefully packaged with clear instructions about how to reheat. I love the sweet potato casserole with the marshmallows on top, but not everyone in my family likes marshmallows, so it was nice that the marshmallows were packaged separately, so we prepared some of the sweet potatoes with them and some without. I'm very particular about brussels sprouts and these were outstanding. I loved the mustard seeds in them. I highly recommend Black Horse Inn for a take home Thanksgiving meal.

The restaurant is beautifully renovated and maintains it's rustic charm despite the modern touches. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food was so-so; we really were hoping to be blown away by the menu. We ordered the tuna tartare and French onion soup for appetizers. Entrees ordered were steak frites and marinated grilled shrimp. I was surprised at the way the tuna tartare was presented - it felt more like a mushy salad. Also, the tzatziki that was part of the marinated grilled shrimp did not resemble or taste like traditional tzatziki. The shrimp, however, was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. We definitely appreciated the history of the place and that was an experience to remember.
