There were 3 rooms listed on Hotels.com. We booked The Dahlia room. The owner didn't even have the courtesy to come and speak to us in person and offered no assistance. A terrible experience.

The surface of this stay is a very nicely landscaped property with clean, separate prefab, mobile…read morehomes that serve as the "lodges" throughout. These have been souped up with a heated floor in the shower room and a gas fireplace. We stayed in Lodge 14 and it was fairly spacious, not creaky, with a king size bed in the main bedroom as well as a little curtained-off annex room with a small bed that worked for our son. The biggest issue at this property is that no staff are on sight. You can reach them via text, but there can be quite the delay in receiving an answer or you may receive none at all. You are especially out of luck if you run into a problem "after hours," which is after 5p. We stayed 2 nights. The first night we discovered the only blanket available for the annex bed was very heavy and way too hot. We had to open all the windows in the room to make up for this, which is nice, but the island is alive with birds starting at about 4:30a, making it too loud to have the windows open. We texted the property manager the following morning asking for a normal-weight comforter, or if they want us to just use the AC (we were hesitant to do that in the chilly weather). They informed me that the lodges' electrical systems are tied to each other, and there would be issues if we used AC in our lodge while the lodge next to it might be using the heat. They brought a lighter blanket, but it was barely heavier than a sheet, so not workable. I ended up having to open all the windows and then wake up at 4a to go back into my son's room to close his windows. Not relaxing. The property had a nice communal space with a wood fire pit as well as a glass fire pit (the latter of these emits very little heat), next to bathrooms and what looks like a inside common room and kitchen, though these were locked... You are given a code for the bathrooms. Night 2, at 7p, we wanted to hang out in the space with the friend we were visiting, and we could not access the bathrooms as our code was not working. I texted the number immediately, but no one ever responded. That was a huge bummer. I guess when you arrive, I would recommend immediately checking out all of the amenities and making sure they work, and your code works with them, as no one will be around to help you later. I was extremely disappointed that no one even responded to me. Pros: - It was clean. - Heaters in the shower room were nice - Shower was nice - Bed was large, though with the usual dips in the mattress that you get with many cheaper hotels. - A staff member did respond to my text after the first night issues, and they did try to help - The communal space was quite nice, even though I wasn't able to experience it all - The lodges are well-insulated - The location is excellent. Cons: - The lodge is pretty sterile feeling. It could be greatly improved with more art on the walls. - Only one sink in the lodge. Used for both kitchen and bathroom. - Not enough linen choices for bedding. - The pillows were absolutely horrific. Like large hard stuffed animals. They did bring us two slightly less stuffed pillows after the first night. These were still too hard and uncomfortable. - No bedside lamp on the left side of the main bed - My access codes to other parts of the property did not work, and no one responded to me about it. - The toilet, which is right next to the main bedroom, has an extremely loud flush. Not ideal during the night. - The couch was gross-looking, very worn. We didn't want to use it. We asked that they provide a blanket to cover it with. They assured me it was clean, just worse for wear. This place is cute and convenient. It could be improved with just a little more care and attention to detail (artwork, rugs, more linen options, nicer pillows). It could also be greatly improved by having one staff member on site, or at least on-call at all hours.

A few helpful logistical tips for future guests: Accessibility: The entrance is up a beautiful stone stairway to a small patio. There is no elevator, so keep this in mind if you are traveling with heavy luggage. Arrival: Pay close attention to the address signs! The driveway is easily missed and the roads leading in are quite narrow. The Vibe: This is a lovely, no-frills accommodation. Communication is minimal and done strictly via email or phone calls (no texting), and it is cash-only. The owners live on-site and whip up a delicious breakfast every morning. I was also quoted $187 over the phone and understood that to be the total price. I didn't have an option to book online since the google listing stated that I need to call the hotel directly to book. When I checked the charges the morning after, I noticed additional taxes had been added, which came out to an additional $30. Since I was specifically comparing prices in the area and was considering another option that was less than $187 including taxes, knowing the full price upfront would have affected my decision. It felt dishonest and wouldn't stay here again bc of this lack of transparency Overall, the lack of cleanliness at check-in and the unexpected additional charges were both disappointing and could have been avoided with better attention to detail and clearer communication. The wife was pleasant though, and that was a positive part of the stay. Edit: wow I'm so disappointed at how the owner responded to not just the message I sent him, but to this review that I posted on google. It's funny that he calls me a scammer and that I posted a fake review when I have the receipt to show when I stayed at the property and he's been boasting via text how many 5-star reviews he has, yet is so bothered by this one. Many of the positive reviews seem fake - I work in marketing and can tell based on the frequency and the content of the reviews whether or not they are genuine. HE HAS 4.8 STARS ON GOOGLE FROM FAKE REVIEWS, not bc he has an honest business. He got two more positive reviews in the last 24 hours to make up for this one negative review. Pretty sus for a tiny hotel with limited rooms. Hilarious that he calls this a fake review when he pays for his. So believe every negative review on here bc that is the true reflection of what it's like to do business with this owner. I notified him 45 minutes after bc I didn't want to bother him while he was cleaning the bathroom. You can see the timestamp that literally messaged him about the hair one minute after he notified me that the bathroom was cleaned. We spent about an hour unable to relax and wind down after a long day of walking around the city while our bathroom was getting cleaned and sheets being replaced. Also know that the home is set up like a dorm, where the bathroom is either shared or on a completely separate floor. Very different from what you'd expect from an actual hotel, and feels more like a hostel. In our initial conversation, he never mentioned that it was a subtotal or pretax amount that he was quoting me, and only the morning after I messaged him, did he respond to let me know that it was the subtotal price that I was quoted. I highly recommend seeing the other negative reviews, as they indicate how money hungry Ryan is. I never requested a full refund, only the taxes which he failed to mention which I think is very reasonable, but he went on about his 5-star reviews that he paid for lol. He apparently charges people $15 for a parking pass, without letting them know that parking is not guaranteed. I didn't see one parking spot open in my walk around the neighborhood at 9pm which confirms the disappointment in the other reviews. LACK OF TRANSPARENCY = DISHONESTY and he fails to understand this! I attached my receipt showing proof of my stay, and the messages between us to show proof that I'm not a scammer, since Ryan seems to have a habit of gaslighting people reading the reviews. He certainly lives up to the name of his hotel. If you have ANY hiccups during your stay, don't expect him to be compassionate as he runs his business like a big corporation with a cold heart rather than a small business, lacking an ounce of compassion or accountability even when they are a result of his own mistakes and dishonesty.

The front desk would lock the lobby late at night and if they were concerned about safety, but they were always there at the desk available to let me in when I needed. The staff was outstanding, 6 out of 5 stars! Jersey was wonderful and so patient when setting up mine and my co-workers reservation (that was a bit complicated). Trinh was the staff that was often there during our stay in the mornings and she was so helpful in processing important paperwork for our business trip to ensuring our housekeeping needs were met daily. Finally, the location was perfect since our work was based near the SEATAC airport, but also only a short drive to Downtown Seattle. We were a quick 15 minute drive to the SEATAC airport or Downtown Seattle in this location (dependent on traffic, going to the airport we were often traveling in the opposite direction of traffic for our work schedule). Some great options for food just a short walk away from the Georgetown Inn, and also the Georgetown Brewery was only a short 10 minute walk away as well! Highly recommend staying here!
