We have recommended No Cabbages Bed and Breakfast to everyone we've talked to after our night there. We booked through email and were confirmed for the private suite which was a large room with a King bed, a couch and beautiful handmade furniture by Dal, one of the hosts. The bathroom has a giant (GIANT) shower. The bed was super comfortable and everything was very clean. We walked to the Sunrise Beach for sunset. The breakfast was better than anything I was imagining. We were served fresh popovers and jam, a stuffed avocado half with salsa and egg on top, and a fresh pot of French press. Their dog, Max, is adorable and entertaining. We are moving to the area and we will be recommending to people visiting to stay here. read more

This was our first experience at a b&b and it was amazing. It's cozy and relaxing. A fantastic location in the forest near a scenic beach. There are no TVs in the rooms, which is great because instead its replaced with a beautiful view of the trees and scenery. It's a great place to get away from the stress of modern worries and just get back to nature. And all of that is just what's on the outside. What's on the inside is an astounding couple, Jamee and Dal, who were more than hospitable. They make the experience feel like home. Each morning we woke up to an amazing home cooked breakfast and such pleasant conversation. We couldn't have asked for a more relaxing vacation. We plan on returning very soon. Oh and I have to give a special shout out to Jamee's delicious pop-overs! read more

Let me my add my voice to the chorus of cheers for the No Cabbages Bed & Breakfast. This really is a little slice of Eden in the larger paradise of Gig Harbor and the entire Puget Sound area. My lady and I spent an idyllic week here. It was the perfect launching pad for our exploration of this corner of Washington state. Hosts Jamee and Dal were such gracious hosts who made us feel like family from the first day. We were fortunate enough to have been upgraded to the lovely suite (above the garage) and the extra privacy was appreciated. They have a beautiful home to share and the grounds are something out of the Brothers Grimm. We did have some rain and even a dusting of snow during our stay (which was like Nature's icing on the cake), but when the Sun came out as it did for a couple of days all I can say is "Wow." Heaven on Earth. I have to close with a word about Jamee's breakfasts. Terrific omelettes, fresh fruit , French press coffee. And those popovers! Light enough to float away but held down with homemade (elderberry?) jam and whipped cream the only place they were going float into was my stomach. And man did they! The wife and I almost came to blows for the last one. All in all, a wonderful, rejuvenating experience. Thank you Jamee. We will be back! read more

From the moment I stepped into the calm oasis created by the lovely owners Jamee and her husband Dal, I was whisked away on an enchanted journey. It was truly a mind-healing, self-rejuvenating journey into Mother Nature's lap. A myriad of nature picturesque, the house is nestled in a secluded cove of swaying giant trees that seemed to wave as we walked along the path to our private suite above the garage and house below. The suite was plushly decorated with everything we needed to relax and unwind. The panoramic views from our windows were so breathtaking they could only truly be adequately described by a poet gifted with the words bestowed upon him by his creator. The breakfasts made by the owner, Jamee, were so decadent that I found myself moaning and uttering praises in between each delicious bite. My personal favorites were the pop-overs with strawberry and whipped cream, as well as her omelet with spinach and goat cheese. The wonderful breakfasts she prepared were only made more amazing as we shared coffee and talked about news, pets, and family. The overall journey ended with a warm hug, a sincere and heartfelt goodbye, and an invitation to come back. If you are looking for a retreat...an escape from life...or a romantic getaway where all of your stress and worries can be stripped away, No Cabbage Bed & Breakfast is the place to stay. We had the most amazing experience we could have possibly had here at No Cabbages. We booked the B&B about a year in advance to have our wedding there. They only do about one wedding a year (probably for good reason, because we shook up their lives for a bit for a number of days, haha - sorry guys!), but this wedding was the most beautiful wedding we could have ever imagined, all thanks to them for creating and manipulating this little slice of heaven in the woods. Jamee and Dal were absolutely lovely and SO accommodating. We weren't really sure of what to expect with our families coming in to town, and to be honest... neither were Jamee and Dal. But they rolled with the punches and made us (all of us!) feel right at home. We are so grateful! They are truly wonderful people. The wedding was absolutely incredible. Every single one of our guests made note of how stunning the space was and how relaxing it was, even with all of the craziness of a wedding. And a number of them said that they would love to come back and stay! All of the rooms were absolutely beautiful, especially the brand new tree house, which was very well enjoyed by my in-laws. We stayed in the suite and couldn't have been happier with that decision. The room was lovely, the bed was HUGE and SO comfortable. I haven't slept so well in years (yes, even on the eve of my wedding!). There is so much natural light in this room with all of the windows sprawling across one wall, practically up to the ceiling, and several little pot sky lights. We woke up feeling so refreshed and rejuvenated every morning, which was exactly what we needed. I could go on and on about this amazing space, but you really have to see it to believe it. The pictures don't even come close to doing it justice. My husband and I will definitely be back to enjoy this place more in the future. It was truly an incredible experience. read more

We were completely enchanted with No Cabbages! Jamee was extremely accommodating to our needs and upgraded us to the private suite at no charge since she needed to go out of town during my reserved weekend. Her friend came and made us breakfast which was beyond delicious! Our stay at No Cabbages was so relaxing, indulgent, and serene. The solitude of being alone in the forest was quite rejuvenating. Walking down to explore the beach (and find some swings!) was a perfect little jaunt. Wandering in the handmade labyrinth was centering and calming. I am curious about the "tree house" under construction and hope that it will be a room I can book in the future. I really cannot wait to come visit again! We centered our entire stay in Gig Harbor around this B&B and we could not have been more disappointed. Jamie, the hostess, is a fine person, but she may need to rethink her calling. We stayed in the suite above the garage where cobwebs draped over the curtains. The bed linens smelled musty, and the toilet had not been cleaned in some time. The green towels were bleach-stained, and for toiletries, we were offered shampoos and soaps from other establishments, some of them already partially used. The floors were dirty, the labyrinth overgrown, and though the description says beach-front property, we never saw the beach. We had planned to relax on the grounds and on the beach, but the property is overgrown, seating areas were not inviting, and the property in general is in a state of chaos or disrepair. We left early and found a much better place to stay in a neighboring village, but by then our time for rest and relaxation was nearly over. read more

My husband and I renewed our wedding vows at this enchanting property. We had our ceremony in the labyrinth. The setting was everything we wished it to be. It was tremendously relaxing. The grounds and facilities are adorned with art, which along with the profound natural beauty imbue the entire setting with a deep spirit. Jamee, the owner, is available but not intrusive, she will meet your every need. We stayed in the suite, which was lovely and private. This is a place of relaxation and peace, there are no televisions in the guest facilities, and cell service is a bit spotty, so if you go there hoping to answer your work email, and keep track of every immediate facebook post, you will be disappointed. If however, you want an enchanting magical getaway to renew your spirit, and you fancy a lovely breakfast, you will love Jamee and No Cabbages. read more

Our stay at No Cabbages was absolutely wonderful in every way. Jamee is a delightful host, it's a beautiful and wooded area, and the room was extraordinarily cute, clean and comfortable. My wife and I had stayed there shortly after our wedding 25 years ago and decided to return to renew our vows in July. We had a beautiful ceremony in the labyrinth followed by two absolutely serene and relaxing days surrounded by natural beauty. Thank you, Jamee and Dal, for a very relaxing and personal stay we enjoyed for one night at your place! Right when we arrived, we felt at peace and got the upgrade to the suite free of charge as a very nice surprise! The room was very large and carefully decorated, with a lot of cosy sitting opportunities you kind of can't escape from starting to relax once you've settled down ;=) It was very clean and we had a wonderful night. But the best thing really was your hospitality and opportunity for us to spent the evening with you guys at the campfire you build for us. Such conversations really enrich a stay and continued on the next morning, when we enjoyed a diverse, healthy and fresh homecooked breakfast with fruits, cereal and spinach goatcheese omelett. All in all, you can feel that you guys are very warmhearted people who share their little paradise and the onyl sad thing was really having to leave after a warm hug! P.S. You could really advertise the small beach down the road because it turned out to be the absolutely best place in the whole area to see Mount Rainer! ;=) read more

Spent a couple of nights here on short notice and it was comfortable and cozy, despite a very wet and rainy environment! A great getaway that's not too formal, has a few homey, artistic touches that defy "haughtiness" and has all the warmth a Pacific Northwest winter weekend needs! A great getaway from the tourists but close enough to town for easy shopping and sightseeing. read more
