She also said that while she had availability she wasn't just an overnight hotel and that we should call Hotels.com to get our money back. "I don't know who you paid, but you didn't pay me." There were 3 rooms listed on Hotels.com. We booked The Dahlia room. The owner didn't even have the courtesy to come and speak to us in person and offered no assistance. A terrible experience.

It does not smell musty. It is an old house, what are you expecting it to smell like, a god-blessed perfume store? b. It's Vashon island. Nobody is gonna steal your stuff, Linda. And if you are so concerned, you can take valuables with you in the car you undoubtedly arrived in while away from the cottage. c. There is most certainly a latch on the bathroom door. d. There is a wall in the closet. Also even if there wasn't, when doors are closed, they are like a wall. The barn does not have people in it while you are sleeping anyways. e. This charming accommodation is run by a single proprietor. I'm not sure why Linda expected meal service in a rustic cottage on an island. Nowhere is the claim made this will be the case. The room is incredibly spacious and well-equipped with a king bed, couch, additional seating, a mini-fridge, and an armoire--the perfect amount of space for two people. The bathroom is equally roomy with a great walk-in shower, and Wi-Fi is available. A few helpful logistical tips for future guests: Accessibility: The entrance is up a beautiful stone stairway to a small patio. There is no elevator, so keep this in mind if you are traveling with heavy luggage. Arrival: Pay close attention to the address signs! The driveway is easily missed and the roads leading in are quite narrow. The Vibe: This is a lovely, no-frills accommodation. Communication is minimal and done strictly via email or phone calls (no texting), and it is cash-only. The owners live on-site and whip up a delicious breakfast every morning. Their fresh-from-the-oven popovers were an absolute highlight--we grabbed a handful to snack on throughout the day, and they were just as good cold! My only minor regret is that I would have loved to explore the beautiful property more, but I wasn't entirely sure which areas were off-limits. Next time, I'll definitely be sure to ask the hosts for a quick property tour. The owners are incredibly accommodating, and this location is well worth the stay. The breakfast was better than anything I was imagining. We were served fresh popovers and jam, a stuffed avocado half with salsa and egg on top, and a fresh pot of French press. The place is everything it is advertised to be: the windows overlook Eagle Harbor with the ferries coming and going, the kitchen is well equipped and the stove has gas burners, the bed is very comfortable, the television has more channels than I would ever watch, Wi Fi is free, the bathroom is clean and the showerhead is powerful. The owners were friendly and honored my privacy. Photographers, artists, birdwatchers, couples, small families, kayakers, an individual looking to relax - I could go on - will all find something here. I found true peace and quiet.

It's a private farm that you can pet everything from Pigmy Goats to sheep....to their two wonderful dogs (Hank and Abby). It's very close to downtown historic Poulsbo and easy to find (look for the big sign at the entrance to their property), with a lengthy dirt driveway to their house. The value cannot be beat for the quality of service you get. First, the whole venue is yours for the weekend. No other guests are booked at the B&B on a wedding weekend (and you get access for the WHOLE weekend). Second, Paulette and Ron are so accommodating and helpful, even before your wedding weekend. Any time we needed to come up and check things out, they welcomed us to visit. The space is beautiful. We had an outdoor wedding, with a gorgeous western view of the Olympic mountains and a reception in the spacious barn. We had no problems fitting our whole wedding (150 guests) while leaving room for a bar and dance floor. The rooms in the B&B are beautiful and spacious. And the breakfast food was amazing. We would absolutely recommend Raspberry Ridge Farm to anyone looking to get married in Kitsap County.
