Wow! What a great value for money hotel! Stunning views from the room, and I mean STUNNING! Clean upgraded rooms, good breakfast and very helpful staff. I have read the bad reviews posted, and can only say that was NOT what I saw or experienced. Value for money and a great location to see the area. Will be back!!! read more

Flagship Inn - View from rooms.... - Hotels Near Me - Bremerton, Washington

I have stayed here 4 times. Three of the 4 times we have had to switch rooms. Once to due to a leaking toilet. The next time to the room smelling like smoke. This time there was someone sitting in the back room but there was a virtual person that did check. I requested a 1st floor room due to my husband's disability and they tried to put us on the 3rd floor. The room was not ready when we arrived. This time the room smelled like smoke, the bathroom smelled like urine, the bathtub was lined with mold, and the carpet was dirty. There was someone working at the breakfast area that is absolutely not needed but no one at the front desk. I will not be staying here again. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. this place was rundown, the front desk jerk was condescending and unreasonable. my friend lost everything to a house fire but this guy wouldn't accept the credit card she had (issued by the American Red Cross!) because it wasn't "in her specific name". then he lectured us about how "losers" with no drivers licenses cost the owners money (um, did not apply since my friend DID still have her license, by the grace of God!). heartless, worthless people who think they are better than others when their piddly establishment has three cars in the parking lot and peeling paint on the walls do not deserve your business read more

I LOVE this hotel. The views are gorgeous and it is pristinely clean. It's a bit of a time capsule but in the best m, most comforting way. Fridge and microwave in room, very comfortable bed, good water pressure. Front desk person was very welcoming and helpful. Pool overlooking the bay! I'm here for work but would definitely stay here on vacation. It's very charming. read more

Affordable place to stay with a great water view. The staff was just ok. If you are looking for clean, comfortable and affordable accommodations then I would recommend this place. Short review to let folks know the Flagship Inn is a great choice in Bremerton. Small older 2-story motel, clean decent-sized rooms with balconies overlooking Oyster Bay, at a reasonable price. Didn't jump in the pool but it looked big, & clean. Parking is ample, easy, free, & felt safe. Staff was congenial, fresh cookies with coffee n tea at check-in was a nice touch, as well as a good continental breakfast in the morning. read more

Flagship Inn - Lovely view of Oyster Bay from our King room - Hotels Near Me - Bremerton, Washington

This was the most pleasant surprise ever! We stayed here for a few nights at the end of summer and it was incredible! The vibes to expect: Cozy weekend at grandmas (but it the best most wholesome way possible). The decor and hotel are old but very clean and well preserved!! I seriously felt so at home and welcome here. All rooms have a VCR player and a whole library of movies downstairs for you to rent. I will say when it comes to hotels I'm a bit of a snob but the flagship inn had so much personality! Highly highly recommend for those who like a little nostalgic feel! read more

We stayed at this modest Inn for only one night, but we found it to be very pleasant and (comparatively) inexpensive. It appeared to have been recently remodeled, and the desk clerk was very pleasant. It's nice to happen upon a small business that is well run, and that has dodged the ubiquitous corporate culture that dominates the landscape! read more

If you are looking for clean, comfortable and affordable accommodations, look no further. The Flagship Inn's decor is dated to be sure, but the bed is one of the more comfortable beds I've slept on, and the swivel chair was cozy and a great to sit in while looking out across Oyster Bay. The room was nicely appointed with a fridge, microwave and 2 cup coffeemaker as well as a TV, alarm clock and VHS player. The lobby has coffee, tea, fruit and cookies available throughout the day as well as a continental breakfast each morning. Oh and that aforementioned VHS player? Check out the excellent collection of movies in the lobby that will bring you back memories of Friday nights at Blockbuster. When you need a moment to unwind, sit out on the balcony in your room and watch the boats anchored in the bay. It's a great place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee. read more

This is an older motel that is kept very clean and well maintained. The staff is delightful and accommodating. The room is well appointed. The mattress very comfortable. Just so you can be smarter than I was, if you have a problem with stairs, let them know. The hotel is on 3 levels, 1 up and 1 down. Neither is more than 1 flight. They were very nice about changing my room but it would have been better if I had thought to let them know. Oh, and the cookies on tap in the office are lovely. read more

My wife went to book a stay and got clicked over to Registration Desk, a booking agent with a name that is meant to confuse you, and they charged us double the rate with $300 in fees. When I tried to straighten it out, both the hotel and the booking agent refused to help, pointing at each other, and claimed the booking was non-refundable. The Flagship refused to help out as a policy of the hotel. This is a scam. Stay away from them and their booking agent. read more

What a gem!!! We read the other Yelp reviews and knew that we had to stay here for our weekend business in the area. From the time we phoned in our reservations to the time we checked out we were treated with respect and gratitude for their business. The place is like a step back in time, but everything is refreshed and CLEAN!!! Exactly what we're looking for since we're only here for the "bed and bath". The amenities that they provide are exceptional: shower cap ( my fav), shoe polisher, make up remover, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion! A great continental breakfast with no protein, but some yummy muffins and pastries. Every room has a balcony with a view of Oyster Bay, and a place to plug in ALL of your electronics on both sides of the bed!!! Love this place. The Flagship Inn is now my favorite hotel I've stayed at - and as a touring musician that says a lot. It is perfectly old school, unhip in the best way, and an absolute delight. The staff is friendly and genuine, every room has this perfect relaxing view of the water, there is plenty of parking, the rooms have REAL CERAMIC COFFEE CUPS - not paper - which is such a treat - and a very reasonable array of shampoo / toiletries, microwave, fridge, and comfortable mattresses / pillows. The rates were more than fair and it was just a great straightforward comfortable place to stay while traveling. It's not trying to be too cute or precious - it's perfect as is. Morning continental breakfast had nice options including fresh fruit. read more

Came here on the recommendation of some friends. Needed a place to crash for the night on our way to Port Angeles after the last ferry from Seattle. Things are old school here: from the early-internet website and vhs library to the 70's mirrored wall and sparkly ceiling. What a hootenanny. We got the last room on a busy holiday weekend and they accommodated our late check-in. 1 Dog under 20lb allowed for $6. Every room has a balcony facing Oyster Bay, and ours didn't disappoint even though it was right above the swimming pool. There's a laundry room and a small fitness center too. I think the best part, besides the view, is the awfully powerful showerhead. It strong! If you're used to modern hotels, you might be disappointed but if you're ok stepping back in time, this is worth a shot. read more

The place pretty is well dated BUT it has been kept up really nice!!! It has A LOT of amenities galore! Each room has gorgeous water views from the room's balcony. Here's a list of all the amenities...good size digital screen TVs, combo VHS/DVD player, coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator plus a wall mounted phone in the bathroom! Free continental breakfast every morning with local newspaper and USA Today. Free use of an internet computer and printer. Over 300 VHS movies to select from. Nearby restaurants and fast food places. And the biggest deal were the two managers - Joe (daytime) and John (night time) are a vast improvement from what the low ratings (1 star) were about the past managers! I highly recommend this place for sure!!! read more

Flagship Inn - The view of the lake from the balcony of the room at flagship inn - Hotels Near Me - Bremerton, Washington

Upon check-in, the gentleman attending the front desk asked where my parents and I were coming from. When I replied "Seattle" he proceeded to make derogatory comments about the Black Lives Matter protests. I made no reply, and was hoping to get the keys and end the interaction as soon as possible. My mother replied "I do not agree." From there, the man proceeded to share his racist ideologies about the protestors, and the African American community. As an exert:"Those people have been in this country for 400 years, then you look at the Jewish people, in a space of 70 years they now run the world." These comments are inappropriate, offensive and unwelcome- especially in a hospitality setting! This interaction tainted my entire experience at the Flagship Inn, and frankly put a damper on the entire trip. The view from the balcony is beautiful, but I will never stay at this establishment again. The views of the hotel staff are as out-dated as the ugly cigarette-smoke-filled 1980s bedspreads inside the rooms. I do not recommend this place. #BLM read more

I'm glad we discovered this place. Great price. Excellent service. Good free continental breakfast. Several dining options within walking distance. Noon checkout time. A vhs library! But mainly because of the fantastic view over the water. I wish I had brought my binoculars because there was a lot to see. Great blue herons, ospreys, and bald eagles! I'm pretty sure I even saw an otter on my last day! My only complaint is that the walls are a little thin so hopefully you won't have noisy neighbors. Overall, highly recommended. read more

A total step back in time for sure but it was clean and the gentleman at the front desk was friendly. If you are down for a vhs movie and a great view this is the place for you. For the price, it's pretty good! You feel like you've gone back 30 years, but that's a good thing, in my opinion. You get delicious cookies whenever you want, and the water pressure is excellent. Loved it! Kids loved it! Every room has a water view. Very low-key. Super-courteous staff! Continental breakfast with cereal, pastries, fruit, oatmeal, coffee, juice, tea, etc...fresh cookies at the reception counter...an old-school fireplace in the main lobby...newspapers available as well... Very retro but "quaint"...and quaint is not really the right word, but I'll leave it there... Retro as in...our room has a dvd/vcr unit...and there's a HUGE selection of movies to pick from...retro as in there is a hard-wired touch-tone-telephone in the bathroom...not to miss anything, there is also a refrigerator and microwave in the room, along with a separate sink/vanity outside the restroom and another one inside the restroom & tub/shower Just go and try it for a night...we already decided that we'd come in again if traveling out that way. Also, everything seemed very clean and more than up to par. Not posting photos this time...there are plenty online and many look better than mine... read more

I found this place via Yelp and Google a couple of days ago. I have an interview at the Naval Shipyard (which evidently is about 2 miles up the road) and want to be relaxed (I'm 40 and unemployed for 15 months so I need to be in my best condition for an 0900 interview). I chose to drive (instead of taking the ferry from downtown Seattle) south on IH 5, exiting on Exit 132 to SR 16 West eventually crossing the infamous Tacoma Narrows (note: there is a toll on the Eastbound SR 16 side). After about 20 miles or so, SR 16 ends at SR 3 which you head north about 4.5 miles exiting on Kitsap Way where the Flagship Inn will be about 1/3 mile east and on your left. It is across the street from a Jack in the Box (euh!) and a QFC Grocery Store. The exterior is nothing super fancy but the lobby is very warm and welcoming. I was greet by an older gentlemen whom is a nice as can be. The kind of man you wish was your grandfather because you know he's spoil you rotten and tell the best stories. On the left side of the desk is a cookie jar and a fruit plate which you are welcome to eat. On the other side of the front desk is a 24 hour video library of which you can borrow movies to view in your room. The room has a DVD/VHS combo player. It also has the standard phone, 3 lamps, a king size bad, and in room wi-fi. The room is very nice; it has a microwave, refrigerator, coffee marker, full size iron and accompanying ironing board as well as a full size bathtub. The sliding glass doors exit to a small balcony overlooking... wait for it..wait for it... Oyster Bay. It is pretty peaceful, save for a few chainsaws in the distance which acts as white noise. Even if I do not get the job, I will definitely come back to this place. The drive to get here as referenced above (save for the backup exiting onto SR 16 West from IH 5 South) is freeway through a beautiful wooded area (much of it) and SR 3 follows Sinclair Inlet on its west side. There is a Super 8 at the corner of Kitsap Way and SR 3. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra 1/3 mile; you will NOT be disappointed! read more

I was a bit weary about this hotel the first 2 days we stayed. We stayed a total of 7 days. By day 7 I was so glad we stayed here. We had an awesome view of Pugent Sound, the bed was very comfortable, it was very clean, and the shower had amazing water pressure. My only wish was that the breakfast was more than halved Winco muffins, danishes, or fruit. If you're GF you might wanna bring your own breakfast. The decor was pretty drab, but we didn't stay because of the decor. If you want an updated hotel with modern fixtures this isn't for you. The coffee shop across the street (Cowgirl Coffee) is the best in the neighborhood and Emperors Palace is a must! read more

We used to like this hotel. Despite a statewide ordinance requiring face masks, the staff at this hotel do not wear them, even in the enclosed space where guests check in and get breakfast, even if those checking in are wearing them. Since there was a newspaper headline on the requirement prominently displayed at the front desk, the decision not to wear them is probably an act of willful defiance rather than an unintentional oversight. For people who have COVID fears, those with underlying health conditions and those who have lost a loved one to the disease, this shamefully callous response will make it hard to relax and feel safe in this hotel. Stay somewhere else where the staff is more respectful of others. read more

Hidden gem of the peninsula. I stay here every time I'm in Bremerton and am never disappointed. The staff are friendly and accommodating, the rooms are clean, and the location is great. The best thing of course, is the view of Oyster Bay from the balconies on EVERY ROOM! I look forward to watching the sun rise and set from my private patio each day. Found Flagship Inn on Orbitz and was pleasantly surprised by this motel. The rooms are older w/a box tv, printed out TV guide but don't let that deter you. They really do a good job keeping this place clean and maintained...even better than nicer chain hotels + the bed was REALLY comfortable! Flagship Inn is pet friendly and has a great view of the lake. With one side of the room being a full mirror and the other side floor to ceiling glass with a sliding door, the rooms feel very spacious. I loved going to the flagship. After losing my son I spent alot more nights there .it became a special place for me .Until today. Last night I had rented the room for one night. But after being woke up because I was having really bad leg cramps.. I didn't get much sleep was. So I decided to get the room another night. Supposedly the room was already rented. So I would have to change rooms. So we had been in second room maybe an hour . My boyfriend had just left to get some things at Winco when the room phone rang. It was the front desk. He said hello , I'm sorry but we can't rent you 106 we are booked up and there is no other rooms available. At first I thought he had made a mistake and had meant to call a different room. But then I said we just rented this room we are already in it..He then became really angry and started yelling at me. I was still calm I was trying to figure out what was going on. He then started yelling you disrespected my F - ing motel .Excuse me I said.He then said I'm not going to F - ing argue with you. I said I'm not arguing with you. I don't understand what's going on I disrespected nothing. He said I spilled something on the carpet. What? If I had spilled something I would have cleaned it up. I said I want to see it. We wnt up there and he's yelling again , right there he says .What is that I asked the spot was about the size of a dime and red..He says why don't you f- ing get down there and look.At this point I got a little scared I felt like he was going to push my face into the carpet. First off we had nothing red with us that would of spilled onto the carpet and if we had I would of cleaned it up. Before we had left the room I had turned down the bed removed the sheets and placed them on the bench in the bathroom , along g with the towels we used. I had placed the (2)dirty cups we had used on the sink and then gathered the garbage bags and tied them up placing them on the floor by the sink.So everything would be easier for the maid as I do every time I rent a room. I had even weeded there flower pots out front while smoking a cig as I've done before when I've stayed there and swept up the sidewalk after pulling the weeds.. You would think if I had spilled something on the carpet I would clean that up to. Well I never seen anything on the carpet other wise I would of cleaned up the little dimed size spot of something red. He's going off saying I have to rent this room later I can't rent it like this. I am still at a lost as to what is really going on here. He then said he wasn't going to charge me for damages. Really? Because I had damaged nothing!! .I have no clue what the tiny red spot was and now really didn't care after how rude this man was towards me. . He has mental issues or something going on. I waited for boyfriend to get back and told him what had happen. We packed up our things and loaded up the trucks..But not before my boyfriend went back inside to speak with the guy about the way he had treated me..The guy tells my boyfriend not to be vulgar but the only one spitting out nasty words was him. So very unprofessional.. I'm sad about this whole horrible ordeal. But even if I was welcome back there I would never step foot in that place again with that psycho working there.. read more

This place is like visiting grandma's house. It's so homey and clean and warm with outdated trim and decor that doesn't age the inn but gives it a unique experience from chain hotels. I have stayed at the Flagship Inn maybe 15 times over the past 20 years. I can attest to the positive reviews posted here. Value, friendliness, view of Oyster Bay, newspapers and continental breakfast all still super. This most recent visit has been somewhat unpleasant due to the odor of cigarette smoke. The hallways can be stinky at different times of the day. Our room had such strong cigarette smoke odor that we asked for a change of rooms. The second room had a slight odor that would dissipate by opening the balcony door. I brought this to the attention of the staff member on check out. He stated he is at a loss how to prevent smoking on the premise. There are no posted no smoking signs nor is there any mention of a no smoking policy on the registration form. I had to tell the clerk this was our last stay due to the cigarette smoke odor on the four nights we stayed there. read more

Objectively, this is probably a 3 1/2 yelp star business. But when you add in (1) the amazing view(s)/location, (2) Terry (the manager, who although can come across as gruff on the phone, is very personable, friendly and accomodating in person), (3) the pretty amazing price ($69 per night plus fees and taxes) and (4) the fact they allowed Doggie K. for only $6 additional and it raises it up to at least a 4-starrer. The rooms are a little outdated even if really kept up well; there is the smell of formerly-being-a-smoking room thing going on. But there are fresh cookies 24-7 and it comes with breakfast, so really it's hard to complain. No, it's not the Four Seasons - but it's not trying to be either. read more

Our stay here was really fantastic. Yes, the furnishings may be a bit dated, but everything was incredibly comfortable, clean, and tasteful. My partner and I kept remarking to each other at how comfortable things were in the room, and there were so many thoughtful touches that really made it feel cozy. There were two bathroom sinks, one inside the bathroom and one outside, which is really nice when you're traveling with a companion. Plenty of towels, way more than you find in most standard hotel rooms, and they were extremely soft and absorbent. And a full compliment of toiletries, including two sets of shampoo/conditioner/soap/lotions/shower caps, and a makeup remover wipe! Mattresses were pretty comfortable, with three pillows to a bed. Also a great mini fridge, with a completely separate freezer in the unit (exactly like a normal fridge, just smaller) and a microwave. And one entire wall of the room was a glass balcony door that looked out on the lovely Oyster Bay and a pool below. Service was also really great & everyone we interacted with seemed friendly in a genuine way. Great little extras everywhere--chocolate chip cookies and fresh fruit when we checked in, a complimentary library of 300+ VHS tapes that guests can borrow from, fast and effortless WiFi in our room, and a nice little continental breakfast in the morning. (Yes, the pastries were from Costco. But guess what, we love Costco pastries! We ate them happily.) All in all, we were EXTREMELY satisfied with our stay, which was akin to staying at a friend's very comfortable home. There is no question that this will be where we stay every time we're in Bremerton! read more
