My son is in the Navy and currently stationed nearby. He decided to get a good nights rest on his day off and checked into this hotel. I felt like the least I could do was pay for his stay, so I called the hotel and spoke to Jeff. Such a pleasant and helpful gentleman! I was able to verify everything he asked regarding my son and following my verification, he emailed me an authorization form to complete so that my card would be charged rather than my son. I completed the form and emailed it back--I wanted to make sure he received it so I called and upon his answer he said, "I got it! You're good to go!" He was so fast, efficient, and incredibly kind. I wanted to do something special for my son as my small way of thanking him for his service and Jeff was lock step with helping me do that. My son said he had a wonderful stay, staff was also very kind to him and he got the rest he needed. I hope that when I come to Washington I can meet Jeff in person and thank him! read more

Staff was very friendly when efficient. Elaine especially was great with dinner options etc. I was in room 309 over all comfortable and fairly clean. Little disappointed in the shower had some mold buildup and was really shocked at the window mow much mold was there. Bed was clean comfortable another disappointment was the TV I'm guessing 32" where most hotels of this caliber are larger. I did like the potential of using the streaming service. Amazon Netflix and two free options as well. This really cuts down on costs when it comes to hotels providing premium channels. Parking can be tight in the garage but that's with any garage these days. Would I come back? Absolutely read more

Beware, this is downtown Bremerton If you enjoy having homeless people walk around in the downstairs parking lot to your lock car enjoy this place but beware. You will pay $10 to park in the unsecured parking lot but be sure to read the warning sign at the elevator claiming they are not responsible for damage. We did see you about four car parking spots with broken window glass on the ground. The hotel is quiet and clean. The pool is tiny, and no hot tub is was disappointing. The workout room was fine for a hotel it had a few cardio machines, a solid bench, and dumbbells up to 50lbs. First, the front desk staff was fantastic. (We were less crazy about housekeeping knocking on the door before 9 am every day.) Our first room was, well, small, dingy and overlooking a loud street (every room comes with cheap ear plugs in a little plastic bag - we asked to switch and did). Second room was bigger and cleaner but still bare bones. Towels are thin and scratchy, toilet paper as flimsy as it comes, beds/bedding OK but also cheap, low-end drinking cups. We were happy to have brought our own toiletries. Only way to use Hulu etc. is to enter your own passwords (not happening). Oh, and you'll hear conversations from the rooms next door. Not a bad experience -- lots of options on the buffet breakfast (no bar or restaurant), solid laundry room, great location, relatively inexpensive parking -- but nowhere we'd urge anyone to stay. read more

Breakfast opens at 6am, but the coffee wasn't started until 6:30, and several precooked food selections had not reheated beyond lukewarm warm at 6:30, an unsafe temperature to serve. Had a great deal with my marriot card, and while attending a wedding cashed in some points. A very solid hotel for the points needed to stay here! Staff was amazing, they let me check in early at 1pm, and super late check out at 3pm (wedding didnt want to cruise town in a full suit in summer). Room was clean and nice, ammenities in the room were basic, nothing amazing, nothing ghetto. Tv, bed, nice shower (hottt water), microwave and fridge. Breakfast was pretty good, filled up on fruit and hardboiled eggs. They had some good toppings for their omlets (eggs were that fast food type... but good in a burgerking was lol) waffles loomed good and they had lots of toppings for them and the eggs and omlets. For a free breakfast it gets 5 stars. Gym was small, but had free weights and a bench... thats better than nothing. Pool was garbage and like the size of a large bath tub... no lie. The Fairfield Inn in Bremerton is the go to hotel for the alumni of the longest serving Fast Attack submarine in the U.S. Navy, the USS Bremerton (SSN 698) during our reunions in Bremerton. Only a mere 600-700 feet to the submarine popular Horse & Cow Restaurant and Pub, it's a fine crawl's distance. Pros: quick and easy check in Basement parking with lots of room easily assessable. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable and water hot. Cons: Trash can in front of hotel entry busting from the seams which looked unsanitary at the point of entrance. We had trash from a long road trip to dispose of and couldn't. We were expecting a much better breakfast especially for the price we payed for our room. There were a few items I was able to grab and go but overall it was a continental vibe with lack luster egos, whole oranges and the spotty bananas that just didn't do it for me. The breakfast attendant came in complaining loud enough for me to hear about how could someone place trash on a mini bucket she set on the counter top. Not sure what else one would think the bucket was for but not my issue and a conversation I didn't need to hear. Coffee carafe at 9am was empty and by 9:20 still sat empty despite several people coming and going empty handed. We had to catch the ferry and sadly my brother didn't get any coffee. Overall overpriced for a one night stay with a terrible breakfast and no cofee. read more

I enjoyed my stay here. I stay at a lot of Marriott hotels and I this isn't bad. Staff: nice and friendly. Parking: self parking in a gated garage. You will need your key, so don't lose it lol Room: cleanliness is okay. There were ear plugs on one of the counters so I was like meh okay. I didn't go searching for anything or I didn't stumble on anything that was left from previous people. I like the large mirror in the bathroom and the full body length mirror outside. I liked that the shower wasn't clogged. That's a big no no for me. I'm still sad I got an older version of the room, since the bathroom wasn't the glass one. Which is fine I suppose. Comp breakfast: decent with a good variety. Waffle makers seems like standard which I like. Love the fresh fruits though. Overall: my stay did not disappoint and I will come again. I think the walls are made of paper mache. I had to listen to this dude in the next room talk THE WHOLE NIGHT. OMG. The gym is good though: - 2 treads - elliptical - stationary bike - full set of dumbbells - adjustable bench The front desk staff is really nice, though, and it is walking distance from a lot of restaurants. I hate the underground parking (and you HAVE to park in their garage because there is no overnight parking on the street), and the fact that there's no automatic door coming from the garage to get to the elevator. So somehow I'm supposed to balance all my luggage, swipe my hotel key and THEN open the door for myself?? #firstworldproblems, I know. But still. I've stayed in too many of these hotels to know that they are capable of installing an automatic door. read more

We were here for a weekend with family for a trip on the ferry to Seattle. We had issues checking in but employees went out of their way to apologize and try to make it right. The employees at this hotel are fantastic, amazing and just great. Everything was clean, WIFI excellent and free breakfast amazing. Other than a difficult check-in our only other complaint were the individuals in the room above us. I swear they allowed their kids to jump on and off the furniture. However, with a call to the front desk each evening, it calmed down. The carpet was in traditional Seattle Seahawk colors. We got a kick out of that . I understand in major cities there is a fee for parking. However, Bremerton is not a major city. I think the hotel should offer free parking for guests. We would most definitely return! The location is great with an easy walk to the ferry, the Wharf and restaurants. So, I finished this review and noticed Yelp has added a question at the bottom. Are their pokestops nearby? I got a kick out of that but YES there are numerous pokestops close to this hotel!! read more

Hotel was okay, about what you'd expect for 3.5 stars. I will say I feel like I was going crazy with the bed situation though because we paid for a king room and the bed in it was clearly a queen. I'm 5'9 and I have a king at home and I can certainly tell you that was not a king bed. The front staff said it wasn't possible it was a Queen but like come on, lol. I don't review often but I do believe you should know what you're getting into. I stayed here for 2 days and the first day I got there to the sink looked horrible, after that I noticed no towels were provided. I was willing to give that a pass at first seeing as the front desk was very apologetic and took care of the situation quickly. The next day when I came back to my room I noticed what you'll see located in the picture below. Yep thats exactly what it looks like, bed bugs. I went downstairs in the calmest matter possible even though I was livid that I had slept in that bed the night before. I was told the general manager would talk to me the next day to which he told me that the exterminator would be looking into it. They really didnt seem to care that I had just slept on bed bugs and they told me the exterminator did not find anything even though there were several when I was there. Who knows maybe I killed them all, but regardless I received a what seemed to me a very uncaring apology and tried to make me pay for and EXTRA DAY THAT I DID NOT BOOK!!! I checked out on time as well on the 20th but they seriously tried screwing me over and told me I did not find bed bugs!!!!! FOREAL? I EVEN SHOWED THEM THE TIME STAMPED PHOTO!!!!Stay away, your money would be better spent at a 2 star hotel!!!!! read more

Arrived yesterday, front desk staff person was friendly. Was given a room on the third floor quite a distance from the elevator. Roomed seemed adequate although small compared to other Marriott rooms I've stayed. After a long day of travel went to sleep around 10 PM, was woke up by excessive street noise at 3 AM. Then the garbage trucks arrived by about 4 AM. Next the shipyard traffic descended until about 7 AM. The windows in this particular room (307) look like they are single pane windows. I heard every car that drove by. Ironically I'm completely deaf in one ear and put my, "good ear" to the pillow and still was disturbed by the road noise. I probably won't stay here again. Would opt for the hotel in Silverdale on the water. Have stayed there several times and have never had to deal with noise and road issues. read more

In general the hotel is clean, comfortable and the staff is friendly. But housekeeping was REALLY BAD the entire five days we stayed. Two of the days they we're a NO SHOW. The other three days they came but ONLY changed out the towels we'd put on the floor. They didn't wipe the bathroom countertops, the mirrors, dump the trash, make the beds or vacuum the floor. When we complained they said they were sorry they had a lot of guests checking out each day Why that became our problem is beyond us. Housekeeping scores ZERO stars. read more

I don't think they're doing a very good job of sanitizing. Also tried two different stairs there and both rooms had such horrible beds that I couldn't sleep. It was very noisy on one side of the hotel due to the traffic and very noisy on the other side due to the ferry traffic and elevator. The worst part was that they never responded to my request for an unbroken office chair or some solution to I better bed. I was thrilled to find the Oxford suites in Silverdale which is 1000 times better and not that much more money. I almost forgot to mention the one unforgivable thing which was a well-meaning desk person went into my room to turn the mattress over on my last night but when I arrive back at my room I found that my door has been unlocked all day. This wouldn't have happened if the big guy at the front desk had done some thing about the damaged door when I told him on the first night. It didn't close properly and had to be pulled extra hard which apparently she didn't know and resulted in my room being unlocked all day. Unforgivable. read more

Called company and they will not reimburse me. Just wondering how often this happens. My friend owns the Best Western in Spokane and I can tell you she would have reimbursed no problem! This is my first stay at this arm of the Marriott chain which occurred February 14th and 15th.. It is located 2 blocks from the Bremerton ferry terminal, Hampton Inn & Suites, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Fraîche Cup, Starbucks, Cold Stone Creamery and Anthony's. The staff is very accommodating and very friendly. The room, and lobby are very clean as are the hallways. They have a continental breakfast with the usual make your own damn waffles, bagels, juices, milk, coffee, and assorted fruits. So you wonder why I gave it 3 stars and not higher? For the same price, the room at the Hampton Inn & Suites has a microwave and refrigerator (unfortunately, on my days of choice, it was full). I would like to also see a restaurant in the hotel; something to make it stand out from it's competition. Overall, if the Hampton Inn & Suites is full, this is a good 2nd choice. The Fairfield Inn will always have my approval as we had a successful reunion of USS Bremerton SSN698 alumni in Bremerton, Wa. This is where in the lobby I was reunited with my first submarine commander, Doug Wright, when he came down from his room via the elevator to meet a gathering of shipmates. The group sales lady ash is a total doll, working with her made setting up a block of rooms a snap. Plus she work out a double discount to make the rates more attractive. When a shipmate came in a day late due to bad travel weather, the hotel helped him and his son received the discounted rate. Breakfast and the breakfast room was awesome, it was a shame i had to meet elsewhere one morning and miss the complementary breakfast. It's a nice enough place and staff are nice, but they are not following or enforcing their own mask policy. I saw several unmasked employees and guests in public spaces (hallways, lobby, and elevators) on every occasion that we walked through. Some staff pull up the mask if they see you coming, some do not. They do not ask guests to pull masks over noses. Also very paltry vegan breakfast options. Just oranges and bananas. The pool is very small and cold. Mandatory $10 charge for their parking unless you want to get a ticket parking on the street or pay for another lot. I rated them 2 stars instead of one because they were nice, but they need to take the pandemic seriously. read more

Decided to check out Bremerton and see what it was all about. Discovered the Blackberry festival was happening same weekend, so cool. Anyway checked in on Friday and got to the room, front desk folks were great. Staff: Everyone was friendly and happy, so really easy checking in and greeting. Asked them a ton of questions about the area and they were so helpful. How refreshing when people like being helpful. Rooms: Ok rooms seemed decent at first, but then we started finding things. Lol, never found so much stuff that didn't belong in my room ever. I was actually afraid of what I might find looking under the bed area or headboard after a while. Ok to make it short, we found and old mans shoe, how do you miss this? It was under the lip of the bed pretty much in the open. Ok threw that away, the girlfriend has little patience and things like this set her off. She's ok. An hour later, we are looking around the room and notice this shining thing by the other side of the bed. I bend down and discover a flashlight. Wow I'm thinking cool, the girlfriend is frowning however, so not great for Fairfield but I'm thinking "cool!!" After about 20 minutes of a thorough cleaning and removal of old batteries, the light actually worked pretty well. It was worn no doubt but still had some life left to give. I use it to this day. Among some trash wrappers behind the TV we had kind of lost trust in the cleanliness of the staff here. Bed appeared to be clean and the sheets most of all. Other than the cleaning, everything seemed ok. Cleanliness is probably the main thing I look for at a hotel besides the service. They have some work to do but overall not bad. Views were ok to the harbor and water, but your a block away so not right on the water. read more

The good: the King room had two TVs even though little older models still nice to have. The program is updated so you can hook up Netflix or other smart features. I asked for more shampoo and had pleasant interaction with house cleaning crew. I did like the magnets on shower curtains as usually motels tend to skip this section and then have water everywhere. Coffee maker, microwave and fridge is in the room. The rooms do smell good and fresh. Average: the rooms look older already not super modern but could use update. Like I said TVs are old but also small. Light fixtures are available but again not updated especially if you want to charge phones at night. The bad: this place is a little harder to find since coming from one direction you have a painted sign on closed store front. They charge for parking. Usually see this as a scam to get more money from customers like airlines with bag fees. Manager didn't really care and said street parking is available and made to tell customers that they are not responsible for tickets. No welcome gift for gold or platinum. If you use market you can get water bottle for $2 but it's the smallest in the world. Got also a view of construction and mold on roof. Over all I think this place is average. I would stay at another Marriott if available. Cool little thing as easy access to historical Naval Ship within walking distance. read more

Very clean, efficient, quiet. They even hung the bill on our door early in the morning so I didn't have to wait in a line at the front desk to check out, I just needed to call them and leave our keys by the phone in the room. If we are ever in Bremerton again, we will definitely stay here again. I was impressed with the cleanliness (I'm pretty picky with hotels too). The breakfast was okay, nothing to write home about. I had some cereal and scrambled eggs, and the eggs were okay. However, I think it's hard to find a quiet and clean hotel for a decent price, and this place definitely fit the bill. We did not check out the pool or fitness room. The downside of parking is they have a parking garage and it is $7.00 a day. Our vehicle was too tall for the parking garage, so we parked it in an affiliated lot next to the hotel (which they gave us a voucher for). I was happy that we had an option for our large SUV that did not force us to park on the street (parking in the lot also cost us $7.00). Location - the hotel is less than a minute away from a gorgeous Puget Sound view. It is about 5 minutes away from a few fun bars and the ferry to Seattle and Port Orchard. A very excellent location if you're in Bremerton, it's near probably everything you're trying to see, and if you want to get to the ferry, you are extremely close. read more

The check in girl was horrible and not very accommodating or understanding. Her attitude almost cost them my business but I had my one year old asleep in my arms so needed to get her to a room. All the other staff were great and due to the woman's rudeness we were discounted our stay by the manager and given free parking. The customer service was excellent and helpful. Very clean rooms, free WIFI and comfy beds. We stayed in the 2 double beds - plenty of room for 3 adults. The free breakfast was not bad and had plenty of options. My only negative experience was the parking. We had to pay $7 and when we had come back after a night in the town, we realized that every single parking spot was taken! We did about 3 circles when we finally found a really tight corner spot - luckily our rental was a teeny tiny Versa. The location is right next to the ferry so it was incredibly easy to hop on to get to Seattle and back. I loved the Blue and Green floors. So much Emerald City pride! read more

She made us a map of Seattle and recommended us a bunch of places that only locals know about. Today she even made us lunch and packed it in a bag for us! Checked in, asked multiple times about signing up for their pool area and was told I was not able to till I checked in. My room wasn't ready till 3 o'clock and when I finally checked in, there were no pool reservations available. After talking with the front desk they said that all the pool reservations were already taken by guests that were there for more then one night. I rented a suite for the evening which was pretty pricey and wasn't able to use the one thing I booked for. The lady at the front desk said that is the fairest they can make it. What? By only allowing people staying more then one night to utilize the pool over guests checking in. Doesn't seem very fair to me. Also the phone in the room didn't work. I've stayed here in the past but don't think I will be staying here again anytime soon. read more

I like the Fairfield Inn here in Bremerton and generally prefer to stay there when I'm in town. It's a very convenient location to the ferry terminal and walking distance to several decent restaurants and bars. There are roll-up garage door fences on the garage, so it provides some extra security for your car. The complimentary breakfast is okay - not great, but you get what you pay for. The fitness center has two treadmills, one elliptical, and one sit-down exercise bike plus some free weights. Many hotels have some sort of small market in the lobby in case you forgot something. This has some beverages and snacks for sale, but none of the basic toiletries. The staff here is always friendly and eager to please. read more

We stay here a couple of times of year. We are Marriott Platinum but we are also Hilton Honors and I think it's time to check out our options across the street. This rooms can be very tiny or nice size depending on what they have available. We had a small small room. It only had a desk chair, no side chair. It was very noisy, people above us, traffics noises and garbage trucks early in the morning. There was mold in the shower. No USB ports. If you want to plug in your phone you have to pull out the bedside table to do it. Breakfast was ok. The first day they were out of waffles and only 1/2 of the toaster worked. They next Day we skipped breakfast in the hotel and went out to breakfast elsewhere. One day they didn't clean until 4, we had just returned from being away and wanted a quick nap so our room wasn't cleaned. read more

I reserved a room for two nights for my parents who were coming up for my partner's graduation. They had very little sleep the night before due to fireworks near their home from graduating high schoolers. They checked in, and everyone was very nice. The next day they showed up at my house looking like the living dead. They got no sleep at all in their room, despite changing rooms once. They could hear distinct conversations next door, they heard doors slamming, and noise from the lobby. I picked this hotel based on the name and it's reputation... it's a Marriott, I kept thinking... it's going to be nice. Boy was I wrong. They left a night early because they needed sleep. Average at best but low price and staff is always nice. First visit was given two bedroom and four beds by myself. Second I got the handicap room. On the pmus side the laundry room was just across it on the 5th floor. Thin walls and windows, gaps on door, I kept thinking someone was outside my door on a cell phone but it was the next room.
