Ive been there before but will never go again. They have a policy buried in their terms and conditions of no refunds for missed shows. Your failure to attend means you have donated the fee for the ticket to their "charity". Don't buy your tickets in advance if you feel you might have change of plans. They were incredibly rude and discourteous when I called to ask for a refund or exchange, and they showed no empathy for the "donation" i made to their "charity". Its claim of being a world class venue is laughable and their movies are just a blu-ray being shown on a large screen. read more

They have one line for both ticket sales and concessions. Even though we bought tickets online, and didn't want to buy concessions they made us wait in line for 20 minutes to scan a QR code on my phone. This was just frustrating and pointless. read more

We saw a concert here and thought it was a cute little place. If you haven't been before, the first floor stage area is set with tables so unless there are four of you, audience members share tables with others...which was a little weird since they are tiny tables and you are close together. We also found it a little hard to turn our chairs around to face the stage given the proximity of the other tables. Arriving early might combat that but not sure. The drink menu is fine- beer, wine, etc. The food menu is more like appetizers than a full menu. I did take a pic of the menu and posted it as a reference for other theater goers. I recently saw DeathCab here and OH MY GOD. Since being from Seattle I've seen Death Cab I swear at least 10 times. This show, was by far, the best show they have put on. And I have to say that the Admiral Theatre was a top notch venue for them to perform in, being as it is Ben's hometown. The acoustics were amazing, and I was just in fucking awe the whole damn show. The venue is gorgeous! They have awesome decor. It's painted ocean theme with seaweed and mermaids and fish and its just sweet looking. They have a solid bar that is in the middle towards the back of the venue, and man, were the drinks stiff. Loved that shit. Make sure to check out the Admiral and ride the ferry over! Makes a great time. read more

Two of the four meals arrived and without any warning the "kitchen closed" and the other two meals were just "dropped".... The comp desserts were a nice gesture but this really wrecked the evening for the two that didn't get dinner. I'll be questioning whether or not to make the effort to return here. read more

What a wonderful venue! We only discovered this gem by an invitation from a friend. We attended a concert by a tribute playing music by The Doors. The building looks great. The service was outstanding! The concert was fabulous! We had dinner as well. All four of us agreed that the food was very good. The Admiral is totally fun! Me and the BF went the day before Halloween for a special showing of "The Shining." It was pretty neat; we watched from the tables in the lower gallery until intermission and then went up to watch from the balcony just to check it out...both were cool. Cons: No drink holders! Simply terrific venue of the old-school variety: nice views, nice sound, nice murals, full bar. Amazing acts booked, considering the size of the town. The pre-show dinner may not be an ideal choice: my tablemates reported that they had a choice of lamb...or lamb. No veggie option, nothing for the lamb-haters like myself. read more

Great memories were made for my family at the Admiral. We drove 6 hours to see a punk rock show, and it wouldn't have been the same without the amazing customer service we received. Nate Murphy is the man, and by "the man" I mean he seriously went above and beyond the call of duty. I saw this attitude mirrored in the rest of the staff. It has to be a challenge to keep everyone safe, but still allow people to have fun and enjoy the event. The 1940's building is a super cool venue to see an event. It seemed as though all areas, seating or standing had a great view (unless super big Mohawk dude was moshing into your bubble) I recommend contacting the admiral for details on shows as some are family friendly and staff is more than willing to answer questions. The "experience" is what's it's all about at the admiral and definitely had a blast!!! Thanks again Nate!!! read more

We attended "Benise: Spanish Nights, 4-7. We expected to see Flamenco dancers, but it was fake flamenco. The dancers had the postures, but their feet hardly moved. The Admiral Theatre is located in downtown Bremerton. There are many performing acts that go on throughout the year and they are just amazing!! One group called Rockapella perfomed and also the famous Bobby Mcferrin. Both are acapella genre. They also have an annual Talent Show during the month of December. Just came from the Keller Williams & The Hillbenders Pettygrass concert. Show was split into two sections...Keller first with some really strange electronic guitar music. Clearly he's a very accomplished musician, but his electronic stuff left me cold and became monotonous. I thought we had been duped. After a somewhat long break, He came back on with the Hillbenders and performed what I was expecting to see for the entire concert...bluegrass versions of Tom Petty tunes. This part was absolutely outstanding! The musicians, particularly the dobro, banjo and guitar players were amazing and the vocals were right on the money. I'd return to see them if the stuck completely to the advertised bill of fare...Pettygrass. But I'd prefer he left his solo performance out. Now the real reason I'm writing this review: my disdain for the exorbitant wine prices. First off, we brought our previously purchased required plastic sippy cups for wine. They're required for all those sitting in the balcony, which I can understand. Don't want to be spilling on folks down below. But the dang things leak from the lid. Mine dripped red wine on my shirt every time I took a sip. I ordered a 7 oz. pour of Hedges CMS red and my wife ordered the Ch. Ste. Michelle Pinot Gris. The cost $23.00!!! $12.00 for my red and $11.00 for my wife's white. Retail bottle price for each of these wines is less than $10.00, so wholesale would be less than that. I spent 31 years in the retail wine and liquor industry and these are NOT fair prices. I realize this beautiful theater is always in fund raising mode, but this is ridiculous! They're raking in tons of profit from alcoholic beverages. Sell the dang wine for a reasonable price and you'll sell more. I don't even pay these prices in the finest Seattle restaurants. Please stop gouging your supportive patrons. read more

Gorgeous place, great sound, and just not enough going on here to make this place interesting. This place should be trying to cultivate a arts scene rather than play classic movies most nights. Not really sure who their trying to attract with their bookings. Still, I've had a good time here before and the bar service is great. Food is so-so and could use a veggie option. Worth going to if something interesting strikes your fancy, but looking at the current schedule that may be a while. read more

I recently became a season ticket holder and with no regrets. The staff is super friendly, great bar and I have seen some wonderful shows I would probably not have ventured out to. Nice to have first class option without traveling to Seattle. More live acts than classic movies these days and a great eclectic mix that appeals to every crowd. They are in the process of opening a kitchen at the theatre so no more "catered" in limited choices. The private donations keep the ticket prices affordable. read more

Generally we love the Admiral Theater but recently we missed the Celtic Nights show (on my birthday) although we paid dearly for it. Seems we thought dinner was included. I just checked and I see we just missed it but it would sure be great if the web page included a check, after you buy a ticket without dinner, to make sure you don't want dinner. And there was no accommodation for us; we were hungry and were forced to go elsewhere for dinner coming back too late to see the show. The usher told us we were certainly not the first people to make that mistake. read more

I bought, in advance, two tickets to see a show here. My daughter and I were very much looking forward to seeing a performance by her friends in the Choreography Showcase presented by the Peninsula Dance Theater. It was a highlight, for sure. Unfortunately she became very ill with the stomach flu and has a fever that makes it very irresponsible to take her into public and therefore we called in hopes of exchanging the tickets for the next day in hopes that she will be better enough to safely attend. When I contacted the manager the response I received was "No refunds, No exchanges." Just like that, over and over again, sometimes over my pleas for a tiny bit of civility in this case. I told her I had contacted her doctor and I could provide a 'note' if needed. She also told me, after I explained to her the poor decision to bring her on the night when she is so sick and easily infectious, that if we did come to the show 'that was our decision', showing zero regard for my concern for other audience members as well as no care for protecting the general welfare of the venue overall. I find that extremely disappointing as well as a dangerous business to promote. I also find it poor business to throw out a paying customer at $40.00 who would have paid far more in a single performance alone with drinks and concessions on the next day, not even including the many other shows that we would have attended had this experience been more civil. Instead I will do my best to turn the lost $40.00 into negative publicity for this place any time I can fit it in. I'll make it worth my time to spread the bad news. Or I'll show up and throw up over the balcony and say afterwards in a loud theater voice, "LOOK OUT BELOOOOW!!!!" read more

Loved Rockapella. Unfortunately the executive director brought in 5 tweens to sit close to us who had no interest in the show. They played on their phones through the performance and ran back and forth to the snack bar getting up and down continuously. I'm sure they did not pay the main floor ticket prices! read more

I saw Garrison Keillor at the Admiral Theater last weekend and he was wonderful. However, the theater was horrible. I arrived when the doors opened to have a nice dinner with my friends before the show. It took 45 minutes before the waitress took our order. Forty minutes later (5 minutes before the show started), we were advised that the chef ran out of salmon, and none of us were served dinner, to include those who didn't order salmon. The show ended at 9:30 p.m., which was too late to go to a restaurant to eat. The manager gave coupons to the two men in our party - my only compensation was a free glass of water that was never refilled. I suspect that those who did get waited on in a timely manner and served dinner were season ticket holders. We were basically ignored and treated poorly. On top of that, the tables were so close together that it was difficult to move around, and my chair faced the back of the theater. I expected much better for a $100.00 ticket. If I could give a zero star rating, I would. read more
