Couldn't get past all of the excessive fees and mark up. If you don't mind a little price gouging its actually a very cute venue.

Gorgeous new place on the block!!…read more Stunning new event space right in south lake union/ downtown with sweeping lake union views. Views alone were worth a trip or 4!! Came for the opening of this shiny new spot yesterday. A gorgeous 3,000 square foot event space that was completely remodeled: with in house catering, vendors, event planners, photo booths, musician! And the food. It was like going to a super fun wedding minus the formality of it. The owner was there as well: super passionate and shared the story of how she bought this space sight unseen: took a long process in turning this into a gorgeous space that it is now. It was super cool! And the food!! They allow outside catering too but the in-house catering: Kaspar catering : baos topped with micro greens and mint. Steamed to serve! Poke rolls :delicious! Panna cotta : in a cup! Lisa Dupar catering: this one was fantastic as I've had a chance to taste their food in the past at a wedding. The gorgeous cupcakes, macarons, molasses cookies and stunning cake. All were so pretty! Mark ryan wine! I mean, what's not to love as it's one of the wineries I frequent in Woodinville wine country. My pup baci's favorite too. Luxe Photo Booth: this one was so fun! The 360 Photo Booth!! I've seen them in Time Squares recently as well as at a valentines event. But this one was so much more fun as I didn't have to wait in line or fight the crowd for it. The person that was running it was super friendly and helpful too. The jazz musician was pretty rad too. And they had valet!! Butler Valet: All the friendly guys in uniform waiting for you as you arrived during rush hour in downtown: pretty darn cool. All events should be this cool. I'm only going to events with valet from now on! Ok thanks. Overall, this was such a fun place.I came to check out the space: left with all the food and fun.The space, the team, the design, the music!! And that Photo Booth: all are essential part of throwing an epic event. All events should be this fun!! I guess they will be if you throw them here: weddings, birthdays, corporate events, sweet 16th. I wouldn't mind coming here for a photoshoot: hello contents!!Or just a fun anything event.Did I mention the views?? Ahh the possibilities!!!

The experience exceeded my expectations, specifically for exceptional service! As we walked in the door, the hostess was super friendly. We sat at the large high-top table with the fire pit nearest to the hostess stand with a view of the water. Our server, Amber, consistently went above and beyond and carried herself with a bubbly and positive aura. She guided our selections of fries, fish tacos, salmon mousse, and tuna poke bites and frequently checked on us to make sure we were doing okay. Amber was also very professional and polite when she cleared plates and dropped off the drinks and food. Speaking of the food, every dish had great presentation. I wouldn't say the taste was out of the world but everything was still good and worth the price. The two hours we spent there flew by and by the time we decided to wrap up, all three of us were commenting on the great service (which led me to write this review). As a final gesture of hospitality by the restaurant, the hostess let my mom keep the bar purse hook that was given to her to hang her purse. I will definitely come back here the next time I'm in Seattle.

I'll have to sit out on their balcony next time! We ordered a couple drinks to start: lemon drop and a daiquiri. For apps we got: tuna poke, cauliflower bites, steak bites, beets, bone marrow fries. The tuna was very fresh and the steak was very tender! Probably my top favorites. The cauliflower had a nice sauce to it too. Beets and fries were good but nothing standout. Service was excellent! They filled our waters, told us when happy hour would be ending so we could get more food/drink orders in on time. I think happy hour is a really good deal here. I would love to come back for more drinks!

We had the chance to photograph a summer wedding there, and I was absolutely blown away by the space, the staff, and the overall experience. The couple we worked with had gotten engaged in Paris and wanted their wedding to reflect that romantic, European flair. The Ruins, with its opulent, maximalist style and stunning hand-painted ballroom, was the perfect fit. Every room felt like stepping into a different storybook, and the attention to detail in the decor made for the most magical, photo-ready moments. Their guests were wow'd at every turn--it was truly an experience, not just an event. From a vendor perspective, the staff couldn't have been better. Friendly, helpful, and incredibly accommodating. The on-site coordinator, Ruby, is a total gem! Even when a few minor hiccups popped up (as they always do), she handled everything with grace and efficiency, keeping the day running smoothly and stress-free for everyone involved. If you're a couple looking for a unique, visually rich venue that feels intimate, whimsical, and timeless all at once--The Ruins is it. It's gorgeous year-round, and from a photography standpoint, it's an absolute dream. -Becca, B.Jones Photography

The decor is whimsical, and the murals on the walls are practically poetic. Photo ops abound. The food at our even was catered by Landmark, and I literally loved everything. It wasn't in the building at all, but directly behind it, so this is more a review for their outdoor event capacity. Parking was a breeze with a lot of convenient street parking surrounding the venue. We managed to get a spot like a minute walk away which was nice. Getting into the Cider Summit was also easy with a quick security and ticket check. We admittedly expected the event to be bigger, but this was a solid spot for the Seattle Cider Summit. Nice outdoor space with even ground and good grass which made it easy to mosey about the event. Fenced in as well which kept the event private to ticket holders. Over all the event held at the SLU Discovery Center lawn went great and I'd come back to another local happening hosted here!

I used them to pass out to all of my staff who work in SLU. Great people work here who are happy to answer any questions that you may have. SLU is known for horrid parking and there isn't any at this location. There are paid lots a couple blocks away.

I had the opportunity to speak with Mike on social media who was helpful in answering all my many questions. He later connected me with one of their VIP managers, John, who was quick to reach out and call to ensure we were on the same page and on point for the day of the event. He made some useful recommendations as to where I should have my tables and accommodated all of my guests upon entry. During the day of my event, David, who was one of the VIP hosts was so generous to connect with me and allowed me to be first to enter the main floor upon opening. David and my servers, Natalie and Blossom were so respectful and kind - they truly helped make my special celebration a memorable one. I'm so happy to see the successes and growth of Vue since they've opened in 2018. Their security team was also very kind! Steve who has been there for years, I believe, introduced himself to me and then there was another sir who saw that I was standing on a stool to record an performance and he later came by to carefully help me down without ask. Vue brings to life an artistic concept for nightlife that is inclusive of all communities. Their 4 different rooms and main floor creates space for every kind of guest. Whether you are looking to be near the crowd or to break away in the back, they have tables you can book to fit your very need. I appreciated their various table packages as it is inclusive of minimums and gratuity with tax later being added on at the end of the night. They make the booking experience very easy. I will say they tend to have a later start where it peaks around 11:30p. Other than that, I highlight recommend Vue Lounge - their team is a great example of what it means to treat their guests with respect so that everyone has a fun time.
