Stayed one night (7/12/24) and was happy to leave. This place is WAY OVERPRICED for the quality. My only assumption is that there aren't other properties available to force competitive rates because we paid $390 for a double queen room. There was generous square footage in the room but I would have gladly traded it for a bathroom that didn't look like a roadside motel. The reason why it's not a one star review from me was that the covered parking garage was convenient with luggage carts nearby and the continental breakfast was a tick above acceptable. Very disappointing experience with this hotel. The first room they checked me into smelled like dirty socks. I opened the window and went for a walk- came back and it smelled just as bad. Got switched to a different room which smelled better but not great. The beds are creaky and uncomfortable. The carpet is weirdly sticky. The couch in the suite has no cushion covers and is unusable. I was very tempted to check out after one day but I decided to go with it because I had things I wanted to do on the island. After a full day of activities I came back really needing to use the bathroom and my keycards didn't work. Had to wait 20 minutes while other people checked in before I could get them fixed. Now I'm worried they will stop working again. Definitely would not recommend this hotel. If I come back to Bainbridge Island, I'll be staying in an air BNB. The price is absolutely outrageous for the quality of the rooms and premises. read more

Our first night was not comfortable and since then the hotel provided us with better pillows and the service is fantastic. I want to call out the people who have been so charming and helpful in making our stay super plesant. Natasha - She runs the kitchen in the morning and does a bunch of other stuff. She is super sweet and has kept the food area stocked, clean and delicious. She does an amazing job and always offers up solutions. Alissa - She is at the front desk and has been kind, informative and has made our stay great. I hope both of these great human beings are here when we return. Still, the bed needs an upgrade and nicer pillows would make it a 4-5. read more

Just a heads up. This place messed up everything about our stay. We had booked multiple rooms for a wedding. Had to cancel a few. Do not call later in the evening nobody man's the phone. Left a message then recalled the next day. They said that was all we had to do and thanks. Got a call on the night we had canceled to see if we are checking in late. Told we had canceled then talked to a manager who after our story said ok they canceled the rooms for that night. The next day we showed up (mind you our group had multiple rooms) could not check in till 4 no exceptions and one person in our party got charged for early check in but they did not. We checked in and made sure that our rooms had been cancelled. Rooms ok but for that price they should have been clean there was a mess on the floor. Beds you could feel the springs, pillows cheap. Everyone in the party had problems with the keys not working so you have to call after 10 and wait for someone to come and fix the problem. Nice after spending all day a wedding and getting back to the room late and key won't work. Keys not working happened each night we were there. Checked out. Then when got credit card bill noticed that they had charged us for the cancelled rooms. Called them and this time had to talk to a different manger who said we didn't do it right and on time. He was the manager and over turned what we had been told by a different manager. Nice of him to talk with us when we were there or call us and talk with us. Nope they just charged us. We explained that we had called multiple times left messages and we are the ones that followed up with their employees to make sure we had done everything right and to the best of our abilities to make sure the rooms had been taken care of. He said nope he had final say and that's the way it is. We would not recommend this place. The people working there were nice and polite. read more

From the unwelcoming greeting when we arrived, to the dirty floor with crumbs all over the carpet from the previous guests, broken toilet seat, and keys never working at night with front desk being closed at 10pm -to the incorrect billing and poor management (one manager says one thing the other manager overrides him) this place was a nightmare! I really wanted to love this place! The location was great and the ambience leading to the room was nicely done and updated. Then you get to the room seemed a little dated and not as high quality. The was uncomfortable and the pillows! They give four half pillows! I've traveled and stayed in many places and have never seen this! The water from shower had a smell and when brushing my teeth the water from facet tasted weird. I appreciate the slippers, but wish my husband could have also gotten a pair. It took three tries to get a room that had been cleaned. We were honestly worried by the second room that something had happened to the housekeeping staff. And even in room three, there were indications of a job not completely done: they left the cleaning supplies behind, and there was plastic take out cutlery in the room. That said, the front desk persisted with us, in endeavoring to find a clean room (which we sincerely hope we managed to do!) so thank you to them! Revised from 2 to 4 stars because the front desk continued to deliver. They were on the issue first thing in the morning and got us into a room, as per our reservation. I would give this place five stars but the one bad thing about this place was the insulation in terms of sound. I think they like to put all the families in the same area so we ended up being below a large family. At 10-11 pm. we kept hearing loud vibrations of walking, running and jumping. It was pretty loud. Luckily, my kid wasn't too bothered by it but she didn't sleep until 11 pm. I couldn't understand why people needed to move about in a room constantly so late in the evening. Probably kids? There was a lot of jumping. I wish they didn't put all the families in one area since we only have one kid and she isn't too rowdy. I also smelled marijuana when we were leaving the first day. The staff said they would take care of it though. I really enjoyed our stay aside from those issues. They offer snacks, which is such a nice bonus that you don't see at hotels anymore. My daughter loved the banana, fruit snacks, and water. My husband loved the cookies! They were so generous in offering us tickets to the Children's Museum. The hotel is conveniently located near town so you have a lot of food options. We also drove to a nearby beach, which was really nice. The hotel was very clean and staff was friendly. So far - so good! I have worked with GM Christine and Donald at the front desk for a work related reservation. It has had a multiple changes, from us, and Christine and Donald could not have been more accommodating! Communication, on the phone and email has been good - sometimes slow to respond via email but always good! I have read the other reviews and will post again once I get feedback on the stay itself. For now, I would recommend this place and wish them the best with a new transition. read more

Humongous, spacious rooms with good soundproofing and relatively quiet air conditioning. The rooms have a mini-fridge and microwave. Although you need to pay a $25/day Amenity fee, this covers 2 people and includes a decent breakfast with surprisingly delicious scones, fresh fruit, sausage/bacon, eggs, waffles, cereal, milk along with 24hours of available free water bottles/yogurt/coke/hot coffee or tea/fruit. The Marshall Suites is also conveniently located across from Safeway/Rite-Aid/Starbucks/Pizza/Chinese food. Although there is no pool and the "fitness center" consists only of a Treadmill, the Marshall Suites do offer complimentary tickets to a nearby pool and fitness center which we did not use. Downtown Bainbridge is also only 1/2 mile walk away. read more

This was a nice little basic hotel. Pros: -free grab n go breakfast included bagels, yogurt, coffee, hot oatmeal, juice, milk, fresh fruit, and cereal. - parking garage with card entry -located next to a shopping center, including, Safeway, gas station, Starbucks, and restaurants. Cons: -room wasn't cleaned next to the desk so there were a-tips and trash between the desk and the wall -I'm pretty sure the hide-a-bed couch was not cleaned either because when we unfolded it for my oldest child, there were crumbs on it. -not enough towels for 4 people and no wash cloths - no extra garbage bags in the trash cans which would have been helpful since we stayed for 2 nights. -the stairs do not lead to the lobby. Only access is with the elevator so it can get full quickly. read more

This place was okay. The staff was super friendly and it's in a nice location. There is a gas station literally next door and a nice shopping area across the street. The room was pretty big but things were a little dated. The tv in the bedroom portion were super tiny, maybe 32" at most. The sofa was kind of dirty and the bathrooms look sort of old. The showerheads were nice though. The pillows were terrible but the beds were okay. Also, you can really hear the sounds from your neighbors or people in the hallways. The staff are doing their best but the owners of the place really need to put some money and upgrade the place. read more

We paid almost $200 for a night stay here. Building was clean yet outdated, the bed def was not a queen, and pillows and bedding was uncomfortable. Complimentary breakfast was disappointing with not many options: 2 different dry cereals, instant oatmeal packets, or a to go bag with a couple oranges and granola bars. The coffee wasn't bad so that was a plus! There was a 5x6 workout room in the lobby, felt a little silly that it was soo tiny. On the upside, the staff were very welcoming and helpful! The location is great. There's a Safeway across the street and some restaurants. Also a Starbucks. The room was large and clean. There is separate sitting area. The property is kept clean and the staff is very nice. The downside was we had very loud noise starting at about 6AM on Saturday and Sunday. Sounded like furniture and boxes being dragged, dropped and moved around. It was awful. Lasted on and off till about 8 or 8:30. A joke. First of all no one is at the front desk. I call out and a lady was washing dishes comes out to check us in. She gives us a room and when we get in the room there are no covers, sheets or pillows on the bed and it had not been cleaned. We go back down with all our luggage. She gives us a different room. We lug out stuff back up. Now the card entry does not work. Incompetence. Finally 3 rooms later we settle in. After dinner out I take a shower to find a long black hair on the shower floor and wall. Disgusting. Finally the next morning I complained and the manager had a give a crap attitude. This was also supposed to be a free night due to my award status. I purchased this Groupon Getaway Stay on 8/9 for a KING suite stay on 8/10 and when I arrived to the hotel they stated that they were overbooked and that Groupon had oversold the available rooms. When I asked for a refund the hotel stated I needed to speak with Groupon. I contacted Groupon of the issue and they stated they needed 2-3 business days to resolve the matter. I went back the same day and asked for a manager at the hotel and they said the manager was in a meeting and coincidentally when I back the next day the manager was still in a meeting. As of today 8/27 Groupon and the hotel came to the "resolution" that a $20 refund in GROUPON BUCKS would satisfy me. NEVER will I patronize The Marshall Suites or Groupon again read more

I stayed here for one night on a business trip. This place exceeded my expectations. The staff was extremely nice. The room is well designed; I was in a room with kingsize bed facing the inner courtyard. It's conveniently located across the road from grocery stores, Rite Aid, restaurants, just minutes from shopping, entertainment, the ferry, etc. I also love the private underground parking garage. The complimentary breakfast is an added bonus! I typically stay at airbnb's when traveling to Bainbridge Island, but Marshall Suites have won me over. This is definitely my place of choice and I'll recommend this place to my clients as well. Keep up the great job! read more

Comfortable, clean, modern, and felt luxurious with its big fluffy bedding that smelled like a natural sunny fresh spring day. The room was large and quiet even though facing the street. What was so nice was the fruit and water in the room, fast wifi, and the breakfast included, plus the activity passes, too! What was subpar was the hot elements of breakfast. They could not keep up with the breakfast crowd on the eggs, the sausage, and oatmeal. Luckily the yogurt and fruit were still great and there was starbucks right across the street! My room was a full one-bedroom suite with a separate living area for right around $100. Spotlessly clean. We loved everything about the Marshall suites except their lack of insulation. the people upstairs were running marathon laps and dropping what sounded like weights most of the night. No one at the desk answered the phone after hours to complain to. It was the cleanest hotel room I've ever been in and very comfortable and pet-friendly. right across the street from a Mexican Restaurant, 2 pizza places (Westside and Bene Pizza) on the side street both with outdoor seating and an English pub also outdoor seating with dogs OK. We stayed in an ancient hotel in Paris on a busy commercial street and couldn't hear a sound unless the window was open. so if they can retrofit a 100's yr. old building they could do it here and then it would have been 5 stars. read more

This hotel was the Best Western previously and it's been lightly renovated since being taken over by The Marshall Suites. The main reason I wouldn't stay there again is the $25 "fee" they charge PER NIGHT for access to a sub par continental breakfast, a "fitness center" that consists of two machines in a tiny room, and parking. All of these things were free prior to The Marshall Suites taking over, this is just an example of new management trying to nickel and dime people. Hotels of this class come with access to parking and fitness centers, you shouldn't have to be forced to pay for things your property advertises as amenities. Stay elsewhere, there are tons of Airbnb's on the island and several other hotels that treat their clients differently. The Marshall Inn is insulting. read more

We stayed at Marshall Suits last night in Bainbridge Island. For the price for a king room we were pleasantly suprised at how nice it is! The lobby is nicely decorated and the man at the front desk was very helpful.They had fresh baked cookies. The elevator is spacious. It smells like a new hotel. Our room was very spacious and clean. They stock the frig w complementary soda and water. The bed and bedding was comfy w great pillows. The bathroom has an awesomely light mirror. They have a make up mirror on the wall. Very nice large fluffy towels. The room came w bathrobes and slippers. I usually dont really care about the robes but I liked theirs so much we bought one! Breakfast was nice. It's walking distance from stores and places to eat. Pizza across the road was good. We would definitely come back! read more

This hotel is incredibly overpriced for what you get. It appears to be fairly new. However, for $300+ a night you should be staying in far better accommodations... unfortunately, none are available on Bainbridge...so you are stuck with Marshall Suites. The beds were so uncomfortable that no one in my family slept for the 2 nights we were there. The sofa pull out bed was a joke. (And when we asked for linens for the sofa bed the front desk staff were confused and said they weren't sure how to deal with that request!). The sofa bed had springs poking through it and was so rickety that even when you sat on it you fell into gaping holes. The sound proofing was inadequate as you could hear every one who walked by in the hallway, talking at a normal level as well as there being constant noise from rooms above. They call the second floor the pet house and all our friends who stayed on floor 2 said their rooms smelled so bad they had to spray perfume around to tolerate the smells. Our room on the 3 rd floor smelled ok. The rooms, despite having a microwave and mini fridge have no plates, bowls, silverware, cups etc despite having the cabinet space to supply them. The lack of facilities including a decent gym, pool, or even an outside sitting area are not what you'd expect for the $$$. We requested a new mattress due to 4 of us attempting to sleep in one bed the first night (as the sofa bed was so bad). They agreed to give us a twin roll away for no fee and a discount the room due to the inconvenience. Our bill did not reflect the discount we were promised and although a discount was given to our friends for their room, we were told that despite what was promised, they would only supply the rollaway for no fee. We'll be looking into VRBOs the next time we stay on Bainbridge. I wouldn't recommend this hotel and I'm completely shocked that it has such high reviews. read more
