There is a beautiful private deck looking straight out on the Puget Sound for the best sunset watching in all of the PNW. Not to mention the perfectly placed private jacuzzi to make for a perfect evening. The bed is luxurious & the entire space was immaculate. I'm super picky about cleanliness & this place did not disappoint. Breakfast is not made for you, however that is advertised before you book so we didn't have a problem with it. There were fresh pastries & fruit in the morning, as well as eggs, milk, and pancake mix already stocked upon arrival. The pancake mix, which is homemade by the innkeepers, is to die for. The innkeepers were extremely knowledgeable when it came to suggestions for outings, eateries, and local day trips. They really made our trip unforgettable. We cannot wait to not only return to the Pacific Northwest, but stay many more nights to come in Dave & Eileen's beautiful getaway!

Sleeping in a beautifully crafted treehouse, surrounded by towering evergreens and the peaceful sounds of nature, was pure magic. It's such a cool and unique experience -- cozy, serene, and unlike any traditional hotel stay. One of my favorite memories is making s'mores by the fire and enjoying them beside the running river. We loved it so much that we booked another visit -- but unfortunately, we ran into an unexpected childcare situation that meant we had to cancel. It was incredibly disappointing and honestly very inconvenient. We had been so excited to return, and having to change plans at the last minute was stressful. That's where Abbey Rodriguez truly shined. She was so gracious, kind, and understanding throughout the entire situation. Instead of making us feel like we were causing a problem, she stepped in immediately, handled everything with compassion and professionalism, and made what could have been a frustrating experience feel manageable and supported. Her warmth and willingness to help turned a difficult moment into one that actually deepened our appreciation for TreeHouse Point. Exceptional places are special -- but exceptional people make them unforgettable. Abbey's graciousness and care showed us that TreeHouse Point isn't just magical because of the treehouses and the forest (though those are amazing!) -- it's magical because of the heart behind it. We are so happy with TreeHouse Point and so grateful for the way we were treated. We absolutely plan to visit again soon -- and next time, we can't wait to be back in the trees where the magic began.

When we arrived at Treehouse Point, everybody was so professional and kind! We were given a quick tour of all of the amenities in the lodge and other community areas. Then, we were directed to our tree house, Ananda. Just wow! It was cozy as well as spacious, and it was very well appointed with everything we could possibly need! Even though there were other tree houses around ours, we ALL enjoyed total privacy. A great deal of attention has been made in creating personal experiences while still tending to developing a very unique community. All building materials in our treehouse were the best quality available, and the workmanship is second to none! We walked around the grounds, being respectful of others' privacy. Every tree house was unique and beautiful! We then took the trail down to the Raging River. It was beautiful, but our spring has been unusually dry, and the river a little thirsty. Overnight, a rainstorm came through the area. The sound coming from a refreshed river the next morning was breathtaking! I wanted to wake up so I could experience it all, but instead I slept through it. I guess I slept comfortably! (And I am not young.) The bath houses were beautiful and felt like individual spa rooms. They were supplied with wonderful bath products, and the shower offered a pampering experience. Similarly, special products and amenities were provided in our private unit, including coffee and tea. We were going to wash our few dishes, but no dish soap was found, further demonstrating Treehouse Point's intent to pamper their guests. After waking up in the trees, we prepared our own mugs of coffee, tea, and nibbles. After a peaceful start to the day, we made our way to the lodge for breakfast (feeding the fish along the way). Our own breakfast was absolutely wonderful! The chef and souz chef prepared several wonderful dishes. The selections and quality of preparation were both outstanding! Our visit was so wonderful that we truly didn't want to leave! We made the visit to fulfill a bucket list item, but we are already talking about returning again, this time with friends. I could go on and share more, but I want you to delight in your own experience, just as we had. If you've been considering a visit to Treehouse Point, wait no longer. You will never regret it!

Conveniently located and with a friendly, yet non-intrusive, host Judith, the Farm was a very relaxing and much-needed break from the monotonous stress of Covid life in the city. Five stars all around for me. With that said, I have to STRONGLY take issue with Linda S.'s review below, due to the incredibly enjoyable experience I had. I will address each complaint: a. It does not smell musty. It is an old house, what are you expecting it to smell like, a god-blessed perfume store? b. It's Vashon island. Nobody is gonna steal your stuff, Linda. And if you are so concerned, you can take valuables with you in the car you undoubtedly arrived in while away from the cottage. c. There is most certainly a latch on the bathroom door. d. There is a wall in the closet. Also even if there wasn't, when doors are closed, they are like a wall. The barn does not have people in it while you are sleeping anyways. e. This charming accommodation is run by a single proprietor. I'm not sure why Linda expected meal service in a rustic cottage on an island. Nowhere is the claim made this will be the case. I think the "you make both" joke is hilarious, I wish it were still there. f. Leaving the first dang night? Give the place a chance. Thank you for reading. Judith rocks and the cottage is spectacular, I will be returning.

Located on a bluff above Eagle Harbor, there is ample outdoor seating to enjoy the massive expanse of water and sky. A curving set of wood and stone steps lead down to the water where one can barbeque, go kayaking, sit and relax, or walk on the beach. I saw an eagle swoop on some cormorants that were sitting out on a floating dais (they dove and easily escaped him). The view of Mt. Rainier from the beach is unique and if one walks down a ways one can see the Seattle skyline. The place is everything it is advertised to be: the windows overlook Eagle Harbor with the ferries coming and going, the kitchen is well equipped and the stove has gas burners, the bed is very comfortable, the television has more channels than I would ever watch, Wi Fi is free, the bathroom is clean and the showerhead is powerful. The owners were friendly and honored my privacy. Photographers, artists, birdwatchers, couples, small families, kayakers, an individual looking to relax - I could go on - will all find something here. I found true peace and quiet.

The owners live upstairs but I never heard/saw them, however, they make it very clear in the information they email you that should you need ANYTHING during your stay don't hesitate to just let them know. It was private, quiet and beautiful. For someone who only gets one vacation a year, it was exactly what I needed and as mentioned, I will definitely be back next year!

Similar to the experience of chancing upon a hole-in-the-wall restaurant that serves the finest morsels of food to die for, Syl's bed 'n breakfast is one of those "I bet you can't eat just one" (Lay's) types of meals (see end for drawback). The meal starts out with a surprise. Well, at least that's what the chef would want you to believe. Unfortunately, due to the inconvenient car noises outside - car alarms, car door slamming, etc - that aspect of the meal was immediately foiled. The second part of the meai involves being forbidden from leaving the bedroom. I think it's safe to assume that "imprisonment" is an applicable term [I guess bed 'n breakfast was coined as literally meaning that I am going to eat in the room - no questions asked.] Fast forwarding to the actual meal presentation, service, and flavor... Amazing! It's odd knowing that I regularly eat in the very same kitchen where the meal was prepared, yet none of my dishes EVER looked and tasted like what I enjoyed. The fried potatoes, perfectly toasted bread, crepes from scratch topped with whip & fresh fruit, sausage mushroom tomato eggs, and freshly squeezed juice were presented on a custom serving tray. Although I wanted to rate the food & service 5-stars x 10^10, there was a significant drawback (con). Due to the seasonal nature of the cook and service, I unfortunately can not expect to experience such fine home-made food on a regular basis. The "chef" who prepared the meal was very clear that this was known before the meal was finished. I'm hoping that I can somehow kiss ass enough to get similar bed 'n breakfast type meals on a more regular basis - 2-3 times a week maybe? Actually, I'll settle for once a week if that's not too much to ask. So for that I can only give 5-stars. Oh yeah, the other drawback is that this meal carries with it the notion that the chef never cleans. Hmm. Not too many places can get off the hook with that one.

Our last two nights of our journey were spent in Seattle at the Shafer Baillie mansion. I would highly recommend staying here. The location was great for getting to downtown and all around. It is close to the Cap Hill neighborhood with shops and restaurants. There is plenty of street parking in the vicinity. The mansion itself is part of what was known as Millionaire's Row. It was built in 1914 and has been well cared for over the years. When we came back from one evening out, we all gathered in the Library and set up some charcuterie and wine to share from our travels. It was so cozy sitting all together and chatting about our adventures. The rooms are historic with modern conveniences. Our room was the Queen Ann Hill. We slept soundly in our comfortable 4 poster bed. There was a helpful step stool for me to climb up as I am vertically challenged. It has original pushbotton light switches. It had a beautiful full length mirror. There was a flatscreen TV, but we had so many wonderful activities we did not use it. The bathroom was updated but still fit with the historic look. There were two showerheads in the tiled shower. Breakfast was lovely. I, personally, have a great deal of food allergies. There was ample selection that I was able to enjoy just as much as anyone else. There were breads and pastries, jams and spreads, yogurt and fresh berries, and a hot breakfast dish. Hard boiled eggs were available as well as cheeses and meats. There was a coffee bar that was available all day that also had tea and cocoa. We sat at the long dining table enjoying each others company and conversation. We got to meet some of the other guests which added to the experience. If we find ourselves back in Seattle, this is where I will want to stay.
