Honey Goat Cheese Dip
Mark G.

This place is a hidden gem in Old Town Redlands.. Came here for my Wife's 50th Birthday as she likes Italian food.. Everything was really good and we had a great experience.. We sat at the bar for happy hour and enjoyed everything so much we sat there and had dinner too.. The bartenders were so friendly and personable.. We started with appetizers with our drinks.. Honey Goat Cheese Dip with toasted bread and Calimari Strips.. For dinner we had Lasagna and Penne Gorgonzola Pasta with Chicken.. The place was very sharp and clean. Even the restrooms were shiny clean.. I can't wait to see what the upstairs looks after the remodel.. We definitely will be back for a date night.. Thank You Madri For A Great Birthday Dinner..

Date with hubby. Recommended getting sat by the big picture windows but you are limited to only one set of menus, not able to order from the bar menu. The seating is beautiful but couch-side is a bit low compared to the table height. Service was quick and prompt. The chicken piccata and ragu came out fresh and hot. We shared a Caesar salad as well. All decent dishes. The cockatiel menu had some interesting mixes but we opted out. Overall, a lovely picturesque spot to have a meal. I can see a large party happening here since the interior is so well-done. The restrooms are nicely decorated and quite stylish too.

The food was great. The restaurant was quaint and nicely decorated. Part of downtown Redlands row of restaurants. We were a large group, the server was attentive and fast. We were in a back room and for our large group and it was very nice.

Every time I have been to Madri for lunch, dinner, or just a drink it has been a wonderful experience. Food is 5 stars, cost and taste. New tomato bisque is incredibly delicious and has something special I have never had in a bisque. Check it out you won't be disappointed, unless you don't like tomatoes. After eating it yesterday for lunch, I went back today and ordered it to go for dinner. Ambiance is perfect. Lunch music is spot on. The main bartender, Anthony, is knowledgeable, right there when you need to order or ask a question about the different Pinot's to where can I get those water glasses you have. One of the best bartenders I have encountered. This is a great place to eat lunch, they have just added a happy hour menu, food and service are great, do yourself a favor and enjoy a great meal at Madri.

Loved this place. It's very elegant. Great for date nights. We are here around 4:30pm on a Monday. Not busy at all. Our waiter was very friendly and gave recommendations when asked. I loved my food and drink option. The Dolce Agave tasted like a sweet lime drink. My Penne Vodka al Fungi was very savory with excellent flavor. I loved the mushrooms in them. I was very pleased with our experience here. The focaccia bread was a nice touch. The prices are reasonable here. Dolce Agave "Sweet Agave" Mocktail: 4.5/5 Focaccia: 4/5 Penne Vodka al Fungi: 4.5/5 (one of the best pastas I've had) Garlic Cheese Bread: 4.5/5 Spaghetti al Pomodoro: 4/5 (good, lacking some flavor) Penne al Gorgonzola 4.5/5 (also one of the best pastas I've had, loved the pine nuts)

We came in on a Thursday night to check out Madri and were genuinely pleasantly surprised--especially by the remodel. The space now feels like an upscale Italian sports-bar-meets-farmhouse vibe, and it really works for downtown Redlands. We were seated right away just before the dinner rush, and the hostess kindly accommodated our request to sit along the wall. It ended up being the perfect spot because we could see the entire restaurant and all of the TVs behind the bar. The bar area is especially pretty--modern,and inviting without feeling chaotic. The TVs were playing a mix of sports, Nickelodeon, and even a movie channel. We started with the bruschetta and I loved that the tomatoes were served on the side so the crostini didn't get soggy--such a thoughtful touch. My husband ordered the mushroom risotto and the flavor was spectacular--rich and comforting. I had the lasagna, which wasn't overhyped but was still very enjoyable. They offer a small but solid selection of wine and beer, plus cocktails. The space can accommodate both small and large parties, and the service was incredible from start to finish. Overall, the experience was very pleasant, and Madri feels like a great new option for a casual dinner that still feels a little elevated.

We had a lovely dinner here last night. My husband and I love going to the restaurants in Redlands and this will be a very nice addition to our list. The place is cute, food was delicious and portions were great. The host was very nice on the phone and also on the way out. We are glad to have an Italian restaurant to go to on date night.

Went here for a date night and there wasn't a wait. We're seated in the bar area. Had a nice vibe. We ordered the bruschetta and the calamari. These were pretty average. We also ordered the meatballs and the mushroom risotto. Ok so I think they forgot about our food. The food came out about 35 mins later and was cold as hell. The mushrooms were maybe oyster mushrooms and they were so tough and connected all at the base. You couldn't cut them apart. It a was like a whole mushroom bush! We didn't complain and ate around the mushroom tree and just ate the outside of the meatball, then left. I think this place is cute and hope our time was a fluke, but we won't be back. Sadly.

Went for my mom's bday. It was good, but a bit pricey, but honestly what isn't in DTR anymore. Especially right there. The service was good, our waiter was patient and nice, however, his "personality" wouldn't fit everyone, some would find him "too direct." The food was good, but as I said, some was very overpriced for what it was. We all kind of got something different and just shared with each other. The ambiance is cool. I remember when this place used to be Romano's Chicago pizza, it was dark then & it still is now, unless you sit at the bar & they have the windows open.

Honey goat cheese dip- super good

Really great lunch! The honey goat cheese dip was yummy! Maybe two more pieces of bread would have been nice but it was fantastic. I loved the Italian sandwich and chips they served with it. they were warm and super fresh! The service was friendly and attentive and the restaurant and bathroom were clean. It's a comfortable dim vibe and very happy with our choice to try here today!!!!

It was a very busy night... World Series Dodger game... I don't think they were expecting so many people.... The place filled up... We had a couple of issues with our order... Cesar salads were old... didn't receive drinks until we were almost finished... my son ordered the steak dinner.. the steak was tough... our server was buried.... We had a stack of plates on our table that never got picked up..... we weee celebrating a special birthday.. my 13 yr old granddaughter... the server dropped off some vanilla ice cream.. no candle... nothing... ‍ The decor is really nice....

Linguine alla Carbonara (pancetta, Parmesan cheese, onions and cracked black pepper in a carbonara sauce) added shrimp to this

This cute little restaurant is easy to find if you're walking along Orange Street. My only negative is parking can be rather hard to find. My girlfriend and I decided to have lunch here and I'm glad she chose this place. We were greeted right away and shown to our table as we made reservations. The menu is pretty self explanatory as each dish explains what's in it. We ordered the goat cheese and honey dip to start off with. OMG, the dip was so delicious. We each ordered a pasta and shared. We ordered the penned vodka al fungi and linguine alla carbonara with shrimp. Both pasta dishes were delicious also. Both very filling and flavorful. Definitely a place I would like to come back to and try their other dishes and they look and sound delicious.

My husband and I have been doing "Tuesdates" lunch dates, and today we decided to give Eureka…read moreBurger a try since he had a birthday reward and I still had a couple of gift cards from my birthday in April. We hadn't been to Eureka since they moved to the new location, and OMG, the new location is BANGING. Such a vibe! The music was great, the atmosphere made me want to stay and hang out all afternoon, and apparently Tuesdays are also half-off wine days?! I got a 9 oz pour for $8.25. EIGHT DOLLARS AND TWENTY-FIVE CENTS. That is unheard of, and it was really yummy. Honestly, I did not want to leave. Unfortunately, my husband had to go back to work, and I was sitting there wishing he would just take the rest of the day off and hang out with me. The lunch specials are also a great deal at around $13. I had the al pastor fish tacos, which were really yummy. I feel like the "al pastor" part was mostly the seasoning and pineapple, but they still had great flavor. You can also add a third taco for a 3 bucks, which is nice. My husband got the ahi poke bowl and OH. MY. GOSH. It was SO GOOD. Whatever sauce they put on that bowl needs to make its way over to the fish tacos! That would be my one critique. The sour cream on the tacos actually took away from the flavor a little bit for me. Swap that out for some of that delicious sauce from the ahi bowl, and I seriously think those tacos would go from five-star to TEN-STAR status. I swapped my fries for the Brussels sprouts, and those did NOT disappoint. Super delicious! The sauce settles toward the bottom, so give them a good mix and you're golden. And then came dessert... The bourbon barrel cake. I was basically fainting over how good it was. Absolutely delicious and such a perfect way to end lunch. Our server, Ellias (with two Ls!), was awesome too. Super attentive, friendly, and took great care of us the entire time. Five stars for the food. Five stars for the atmosphere. Five stars for the service. Even though we came in before the lunch rush and it wasn't packed yet, the place still had such a great energy. It didn't need to be busy to feel like a vibe. Definitely coming back to try some of the other lunch specials, and probably another Tuesdate because apparently $8.25 glasses of wine are now part of my Tuesday lunch-date plans. Great experience all around. Five, five, FIVE!

I used to really enjoy this restaurant at it's old location. I've taken my family many times over…read morethe years. The new location is indeed very nice, but the first thing we noticed was how extremely loud the music was. No conversation possible. Out of three burgers ordered two were sent back. Both undercooked. One was ordered well done, came out raw. One ordered medium, came out raw. I had cut it in half to eat & instead of making a new one they sent it back to me with just the cut sides back on the grill. Still undercooked inside. They took those 2 off the check, but bill was still $117 for 3 of us. Two appetizers that were good. One other burger, one soda & two margaritas. When I ordered they asked, "is Casamigos okay"? Not realizing they were $20 each for about a 3 oz. drink once ice was removed. One of the things that really peeved me was that a stack of dirty dishes on the edge of the table was ignored by at least 4 different people (including the manager). We were still hungry so we went next door to LA Popular for exceptional service & food. They are owned by the same parent company BTW. It was my granddaughters 25th birthday & I don't mind paying for good food & drinks, but won't be back to Eureka.

My family and I came in to enjoy some food and watch the Dodgers game. Out of nowhere, a group of men shouted, "There's a Chuck E. Cheese down the street!" My 18-month-old child is the quietest, calmest toddler, and my 5-year-old niece was simply making him laugh--nothing crazy or loud at all. The comment immediately made my family feel uncomfortable and targeted. When we asked our waitress to speak to the manager, she informed us that the man leading that group was actually the owner, Jon. At this point, we felt completely unsafe and unwelcome. How do you own a restaurant when you are acting hostile, drinking heavily, and making disrespectful comments toward children and families in your own establishment? Once we found out he was the owner, my husband went over to talk to him directly and asked if our meal could be comped given the situation. All Jon said was, "I can't do that, but I'll buy you a beer." Unbelievable. Honestly, we just wanted to leave as quickly as possible. We paid our bill at the front and walked out. Unless you want to feel unsafe, unwelcome, and unsupported by management, this is definitely not the place for you or your family.

Had a chance to visit both the State in Rancho and Redlands. This review will be for Redlands…read more To put it simply- Amazing spot in the heart of Redlands. The quality of food was fresh, prepared just right, and the service was fast and welcoming. It's in the nice down town Redlands area so never too busy or loud, in the small city. Our server, Aubrey, was also AWESOME so definitly give her a raise lol. My buddies and I were wanting some steaks and drinks after work, and we were not disappointed. 100% will be back. The only thing to be weary of is if you get outdoor seating. Many folks downtown tend to smoke marijuana so sometimes the smell will make its way into the patio area.

Definitely a fun spot for a fancy cocktail--or, in my case, a mocktail. I ordered the Hibiscus Cooler and LOVED it. The food was more of a mixed bag. I ordered the Poblano Burger, and the deep-fried poblano was SO good. Unfortunately, I ordered the patty medium and it came out overcooked. The fries were also a little undercooked, and the burger could have used more sauce. Tasty overall, just not quite hitting the mark. Then came dessert... and this is where the experience really went downhill. I ordered the crème brûlée because I've had it elsewhere and had been craving it. While waiting, I stepped away to use the restroom. When I came back, my entire table--including my drinks--had been cleared. I had literally just ordered dessert and never indicated I was finished. The server seemed confused when I questioned it, which made the whole thing even more awkward. And unfortunately, the crème brûlée itself was also a miss. The sugar topping was torched too long and had a noticeably bitter, burnt flavor. The server (and possibly a manager) apologized, and I was given $2 off the drink, which I appreciated. Between the okay food and the especially strange service and lack of communication the experience left me disappointed. The atmosphere is definitely the highlight, but for me, the service experience was enough to say I probably won't be back anytime soon.
