Mado is great for take out and dine in. It's a beautiful restaurant and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They have fresh food and great service. I like sharing the mixed grill for 2, as you get a bit of everything. Another favorite of mine is the cold appetizer platter and the milk pudding or baklava for dessert. read more

Fantastic and super authentic cuisine! Very friendly and knowledgeable waitstaff. Had a beautiful lunch.

Since moving to Oradell, New Jersey I have driven past Mado Restaurant quite a few times. We recently decided to try a local Mediterranean restaurant and Mado appeared to be exactly what we wanted. Mado is beautifully decorated and welcoming! Our host for our evening was Aret the youthful managing partner. Aret and his family own this impressive Mediterranean restaurant that features the cuisine of Armenia, Turkey, And Greece. read more

My favorite Turkish restaurant! We normally order lentil soup, fried calve liver, cheese rolls, shepherds salad, lamb shish kebabs!

Andy and tuna made our dinner very special. They were very attentive so kind and so polite. Very respectful and sweetest guys. We will be back for sure the food was 10/10. read more

I have lived in Bergen County for over twenty years and have been to pretty much every restaurant worth going to. Mado has excellent food, great staff, and is more exciting than the others! Fantastic Armenian/Turkish food, all from scratch, and one of my favorite spots in New Jersey. Their Adana kebab, eggplant in tomato sauce, lahmacun, and all other kebabs, salads, and spreads are delicious! Their tea, coffee, and deserts are amazing too! Their kazandibi, baklava, and their famous kunefe are outstanding! Would highly recommend going soon! BYOB and just an awesome restaurant. Enjoy! read more

I've had quite a bit of various Mediteranean food over the years and I can't say enough good things. Beautiful restaurant and great staff. Had the chef's special warm eggplant appetizer and the BEYTI SARMA which is a lamb kebab wrapped in a phillo type dough, both were outstanding. read more

I'm from out of state and had a craving for some middle eastern food and Mado did not disappoint. The portions are generous and everything was well packed for take out. Would definitely come again if I visit New Jersey. read more

The food was very good, service and ambience also very good. However they charged a $3 per wine glass "corking fee" , even though it is BYOB, and charged extra $8 for feta cheese for the shepherd salad without prior notification. Too bad, liked the place but they lost me as a customer read more

Great spot! Have gone many times, mostly for lunch. They have an unbeatable lunch special and the food is always consistent and super tasty! Service is great and fairly quick. Love the fact that you can place and order and the lunch special still applies, not many places do that! Everything tastes fresh and it's extremely clean which is always a plus. read more

Food was fabulous. Fresh, authentic and delicious. And our server was delightful. We will definitely be back.

Hard to envision a bright future for this place unless they improve the service dramatically. Food was good enough, but spent half the meal trying to find our waiter. Waited 20 min. to find someone to open our wine, but alas, he did not have a wine opener, so waited another 10 min. 30 min. for a glass of wine...in a BYO restaurant??? ...plus they got 2 of the 6 entrees wrong (not a great %). Food: B Service: D- Would not return. read more

Food is amazing literally came back 3 days in a row chicken over rice is soo good n fresh

I had went to Mado for the first time yesterday with a friend of mine early in the evening. We figured it'd be a nice place to drink cheaply (byob) and have some good food; our preconceptions were not only affirmed, but we were also pleasantly surprised by exemplarily attentive but never overwhelming service, food which exceeded our already fairly high expectations and an environment more relaxing than we could have anticipated. Really only good things to say. The hummus was great. The lamb shish gyro combo platters were everything you'd want and then some (I had enough leftovers for another meal for later which was great cold) and the complimentary bread was uniquely fluffy and its abundance was appreciated by us both. I'll surely be back and genuinely would suggest to anyone looking for great food served in a nice place by nice people to head over to Mado when they get the chance read more

Yes! So good =) Pros: BYOB Seems authentic Food is delicious (had the lentil soup, gyro pide, and a lamb dish in yogurt that I don't remember the name of- sorry!) Very friendly staff Great for sharing/eating family style I don't have any cons but I think it would be even cooler if they had live music (not sure if they do that) and made the decor more interesting with more Turkish fixtures and things to make it a little bit more intimate and "exotic" read more

delicious mediterranean every time. great for take out. very friendly staff that are helpful with getting your food out quickly.

We have been there 4 times now and the food is always very good. The sampler platter is the best. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because of the service. The need to work on this. read more

One of the best around for the food, price and superb service. The lamb adana (ask for it juicy) is among the best. The appetizers excellent. And the milk pudding wonderful. One minor quibble is the I prefer the shepherd salad to be cut into smaller pieces but does not matter. Still well marinated. Go read more

Very good and fresh. Very nice atmosphere and authentic food, will definitely return. The menu is very large, many different choices. Nice deco. Byob! read more

Very unique and different menu. The zucchini crisps were delicious. Also the falafels were one of the best we've had. Usually falafels are undercooked or not properly cooked/made. The manti was very different. If you are a pasta lover, you may enjoy this. The chicken kebab platter was pretty good as well. Just went back here a second time. I just want to note how baby friendly this establishment is!! The wait staff were so nice and accommodating to our infant. They even were willing to turn up the heat which was totally unnecessary but very much appreciated !! Thank you for the thoughtfulness!! And as usual the food was excellent. The only new thing we tried is the Kibbeh and it was really good!! read more

The place is beautiful and clean. The food is delicious! Their bread is made right at the restaurant and not just bought from a store and warmed up as other restaurants do. The portions are big, so I couldn't even finish everything at once. The salad was so fresh, appetizers were delicious, meat was incredible! Highly recommend this place! Will definitely do a party there. read more

They just opened yesterday. Had the pleasure of trying it out while visiting Jersey. Clean establishment, amazing food. Liver appetizer and the lahmajun where by far one of the best I've had around. We recently celebrated my mother's 75th birthday at Mado for 30 people on a Saturday night. I can't say enough great things about the restaurant as a whole, the staff, and the food. Victor and his staff were extremely accommodating to all of our needs. They were flexible and able to provide us with plain rice, no orzo, since many of our guests were gluten free. The appetizers were plentiful and delicious, not to mention great variety. We were able to have entree choices. And to top it off we had The Kanefe for dessert, out of this word delicious!!! All of our guests raves about the food, service and ambience. KUDOS to Mado!!! Looking forward to coming back for another great meal. read more

Some helpful hints. I'm not tuned into the ethnic traditions of Armenian service. So if this is not customary then I defer......ALL tables should get bread. Not just those who order an appetizer. It sort of seems like your trying to save money in the wrong area. You should be proud of your bread especially since it looks delicious. I wouldn't know though since I didn't get any. With that being said your Kabobs were very tasty as a main course. We were going to get desert but it was just taking way to long between getting the desert menu and the re appearance of our waitress. I know your a new business in town so I'll give it another shot....maybe I'll even get to taste your bread. read more

The food here is excellent. I have been to so many Middle Eastern restaurants but this one has the best food. The chicken shish kebab is by far the best. The appetizers alone are enough to fill you up. Each one is excellent. For dessert, the Kunefe is out of this world. I have been here five times and can say each time we had a wonderful meal. read more

The food home made, the service excellent, the prices excellent this is truly a five star restaurant. BYOB I highly recommend

This place is out of this world. My friend Murat introduced me to this great restaurant. All the food is fresh and delicious.
