Horrible that this clinic does not validate parking. The parking lot is so small that it's difficult to find parking. Parking is really expensive at about $7 per hour. The parking payment machine sucks. It ate up my cash payment. There is no number to call on the machine. I tried going to the building manager's office who apparently is in charge of the parking, but the office was closed. I had to pay double using my credit card. I'll never schedule an appointment at this place again. read more

I usually go to their location in Arcadia, but they were booked for a couple months in advance, so I decided to give this location a try instead of waiting. Since it's a little farther away than the Arcadia location, I made sure to leave plenty of time for traffic on the 210. I got there pretty early and figured I'd grab a bite. There's tons of places in the area, but parking is awful, so it's not that convenient unless you get lucky with street parking or pay extra at the lot. I was pleasantly surprised that they had a EV charger in their parking lot and one was even open, so I definitely took advantage of it. They are located on the basement floor, which is easy to find from the lobby, but the elevators are really old and slow. It was very busy when I was there on a Friday afternoon. They were probably about 15 minutes behind when I was there, but I did hear a lady complaining that she had been waiting for about an hour. I'm not sure if she arrived late for her appointment or they were just behind with whatever she needed done. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was slightly annoyed that I did all the paperwork online before I arrived then they made me fill it out again.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Having said that, when I was called back, the technician was very nice and helpful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The dressing area isn't as nice as the one in Arcadia, but I wasn't expecting a spa experience either. After robing up, I probably only sat outside the room for 3 minutes before the technician returned. Everything took about 15 minutes and I was back in the dressing room and ready to go. They do not validate parking, but I wasn't there for too long since I got there a little early. Overall, I'd stick with the Arcadia location if I can in the future. It was quick to get in and do the x-rays. Tech was good and thorough. The images posted to the portal right away but it has been 10 days and no report has been sent to my doctor. The office is located in the basement of the professional building. It is a little gloomy and not very inviting. The receptionist was eating her sandwich while at the front desk. The registration took forever and the tech came after 30 minutes. He was nice though hence an extra star. I called to get the results mailed to me a week ago and I was assured they would be. Nice lab in a nice area, easy parking in back for $12. They mentioned I was the last client of the day, and after my MRI, I took the elevator up to the lobby. It was only 630pm.... Here's where the fun starts! The lobby doors are locked! The elevator has locked behind me, it won't reopen! Every door in the lobby is locked! Not a soul in sight! Should I call 911? The unbelievable waiting time (over 2 hours), one of the receptionists was very hard working lady , while the other took my id and disappeared for a sold 15 min. unprofessional CT technician who won't consider the age or the condition of the patient, nevertheless the injection of the IV. I found myself showing up in person to get an appointment. I don't know what's going on these days. You called and left messages as instructed, and then you don't get a callback or return. I get it. I get it. Because of Covid, several businesses had to optimize their services. If you are relying on automated systems - please check back! I am anyhow done with my rant. And the reason why I gave them four stars is that once everything is in order. The staff and radiologists were amicable and made me feel comfortable and cared about. I needed to have a medical test and my insurance carrier reco'd this facility in which to have it. I am a due diligence dude and since i have not ever been to Madison Rad i took it upon myself to check it out and scope out exactly where in Pasadena it was situated. So i did this a couple days before the appointment which is scheduled for Wednesday 1/10 at 9am. A simple test: one that is done i would guess a million times a week. (Rad Net) and therefore assumed that it was a definite GO. Well: lo and behold i received an email from Madison Rad hours before my appointment that they did not do this test in their facility!! Now Mad Rad has had me scheduled for 2 weeks and they realized just one day (actually hours before) my appointment??? So i had to scrounge around for another facility and after once again speaking to Mad Rad''s corporate scheduling and their suggesting appointments in Inglewood and Tarzana and Hell and Highwater: i said: Glendale, Burbank or Pasadena ONLY! I actually called the Glendale facility and secured an appointment myself. All of this to once again support my resolve that we all must direct our own medical help ourselves: and open our mouths and demand that we take possession of our own medical care. So I did. Can no longer recommend this facility for a mammogram. What used to be a well run office is now a bundle of incompetence! I have had 2 mammograms scheduled over the last 3 months and on both occasions my appointments have been cancelled within days of each appointment! The first cancellation was due to "the machine is broken" and the second was "the tech won't be in that day". Went there to get a scan done. If I recall correctly the techs name was Juliana she seemed to be in a rush getting through my exam. She tried to claim I was not prepped when in fact I was. Little did she know I too am an US tech and know the tricks they do to get out of doing an exam. Came here for chest X-rays because I have been coughing a lot for 4 months. My primary doctor is in the same building and I live across the street. Talk about convenient! My doctor wrote out the order and sent me down there. I took the elevator down and checked in. Filled out forms. Was called back right away. Changed and had my x-rays taken. I was there for maybe 20-25 minutes. The x-ray tech was very nice. So was the older lady at the front desk. Nice and clean office. Would use them again for imaging or x-rays if needed. For those of you who don't live walking distance. There is a lot of street parking on Union St. and Madison as well. They also have a parking lot. Today was the first time I had been here. Needed a kidney X-ray-when I made the appointment over the phone the lady who helped me was super kind. I filled out the forms and was taken on time. The technician was excellent. Organized and efficient. The office has social distancing in waiting area. Chairs are far apart. Overall an excellent experience and I highly recommend! read more

Waited 2 hours as a walk in to get X rays and then was told that they were closing and couldn't see me. Apparently they were waiting for my insurance to approve the x ray but I called them and they said it was approved and faxed over twice. Came the next day and waited another 2 hours after already driving 40 min and finally got the X rays done- that part took less than a minute. read more

I had a simple chest X-ray done two years ago prior to entering RN school. The tech in the lab told me I can keep my piercing on and I told him that I can take it off. I kept it on, since he assured me. Needless to say, the Dr. looking at the X-rays noted a lump in my chest (could have been a shadow) and a metal ball object in the X-ray. I still didn't mind even though I had to go through the hassle of finding my past X-ray films so the Dr. can compare and make sure it's normal. It turned out fine... even though there was a delay in my health clearance for school. Fast forward to today... I inquired with the receptionist about a chest X-ray for work ( the exact same one that I got two years ago). She was polite, but condescending when she laughingly told me that I need a Dr.'s referral / note or else I can't get an X-ray even if I were to pay out of pocket with no insurance. She pretty much made a statement stating that it's not possible to get a chest X-ray without a Dr.'s referral and implied in her tone that it's common sense ("Well, you need a Dr's note and you can't just get one for no reason, you know."). That is condescending and generalizing. ANYWAY: (A) I know that's not true and they did it for me two years ago even though I got a school referral. (B) I got it done within 10 minutes at another place in Alhambra after that phone call and even got a report (for a small additional fee) right after my X-ray WITH NO DRAMA, MESS OR FUSS. The tech was the actual MD so he knew what he was doing!!!! DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE ( X-RAY TECH AND RECEPTIONIST). I'm giving them two stars because their facility was decently kept and the receptionist had manners even though she should watch her tone. I'm sure they have competent Dr.'s but can't say the same for their frontline people. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I WILL NEVER COME BACK AND WILL ENCOURAGE PEOPLE I KNOW TO GO TO ANOTHER PLACE. :) read more

I wish I could have reviewed the services here, but unfortunately I never got that far. I injured my ankle and Dr. ordered x-rays. He preferred Madison since they take walk-ins and immediately send images electronically. After avoiding the parking lot with the hostile "NO 65 NORTH PARKING - WILL TOW" sign and having to find street parking, I hobbled a half block and found myself in their lobby shortly after 4 pm. "Oh, I'm soooo sorry," the receptionist immediately said as I crutched my way up. I would have preferred a hello. "We stop doing x-rays at 3:30," she tells me. Let me pause here with a question for the management at Madison Radiology: WHY DOES YOUR REFERRAL FORM SAY YOU'RE OPEN UNTIL 5 PM? WHY DOESN'T IT MENTION THE X-RAY TIMES? I know, it's my fault for not calling ahead. But you'd think that they'd make this bloody inconvenient fact KNOWN to the doctors who consistently refer patients?! To add insult to injury (not being hyperbolic here - I am literally injured), the receptionist told me that in December, they stop x-rays earlier than usual. Sorry this review couldn't be about their actual services. But maybe it'll be helpful to the next hapless person who needs x-rays in the late afternoon while this place claims to be "open". Two stars for the receptionist, who really did her best to appear empathetic when there was nothing she could do. Madison Radiology, you need to stop sucking at communication. CLEARLY print the arbitrarily different x-ray times on your referral forms. In fact, remove the "open until 5 pm" crap. Inform the medical offices who give you business so you don't get upset people like me ranting on your Yelp page. read more

Excellent experience here. Walked in at noon and the lobby was full but the receptionist said there were only 2 in front of me. After filling out standard paperwork, I was taken back for the Xray. Quick and easy and out within 20-30 minutes. X-rays emailed to my Dr. for review by the next day. Friendly and helpful. If I ever need X-rays again I'll be back. read more

Went in for a routine mammogram on 4/22. I arrived 15 minutes prior to my appointment time as I was instructed to do. I was told the machine is being serviced and that it would be at least an hour before they could see me. They did validate my parking. I was finally seen after waiting over an hour past my scheduled appointment time. I was given a paper with a log in ID and was told I could use it to view the results of my mammogram on 4/29. I logged onto their portal then and it said my results were unavailable. I called the office and was told they were waiting to get my previous images from the provider who did my last mammogram and that I should check back in a few days. I did so and was given the same story. I stated that I am in a high risk category due to my family history of metastatic breast cancer. I want to know if there was anything suspicious on the mammogram - whether you can compare it to last year's or not. I was told she would check with the radiologist and call me back. Nobody ever called back. I called again this morning and spoke to Jeanette the office manager. She again stated that they were waiting on images from the previous office and that they did me a favor by tracking them down because if a patient requests them they need to pay for them. She also said I listed the wrong name of the previous radiology center on my paperwork and they had to call several places before finding the right one. I asked why didn't you just call me and ask me to confirm the name of the place? It seems that would be a much more efficient process. So it's now been 22 days since I've had this mammogram and I still can't get the results despite following up several times. It's extremely frustrating and it appears that nobody at this office has any sense of urgency when it comes to patient care. read more

Evelyn at Madison Radiology was incredibly helpful in expediting my approval for a CT scan. If it hadn't been for her, I would still be waiting. The approval was pending and depending on a peer conference with my doctor and the insurance. Evelyn kept me updated daily by email daily during the approval process which took several days. When the approval finally came through she called me at 9am and said I could come in at 11am. I couldn't believe it. Everyone at Madison Radiology was very friendly and helpful. I can' say enough. Before I get into the bad stuff , the front desk Women are sooo friendly and sweet. They are the only reason I didn't totally lose it today. The male radiologist volunteered severe vaccine misinformation / conspiracy theories that have long been debunked by top scientists *worldwide*, who's specialties are immunology and virology. I understand radiologists don't have an undergrad degree nor go to med school, but if they are working in the medical field they should understand that their 2 year technical training is not the same thing as a lifetime of scientific studies... therefore please keep conspiracies silent and listen to the way more qualified & certified scientists above you. This is not to disrespect his education, but simply about knowing your place to speak on topics you are undereducated about. Radiologists who don't have a basic understanding of viral transmission reduction post vaccination related immunology should not work in the medical field in the time of a global pandemic. I asked the radiologist to not engage further as it was the only way I could maintain respect and diplomacy for what I was hearing. A part of me is nervous my x ray will be compromised for requesting him to stop engaging. He additionally suggested my lung / breathing problems post covid were due to mask wearing as if the general population is not aware of basic understanding that a mask decreases oxygen access. (Yes, we all have basic life understanding & common sense. If you wear a mask it is harder to breathe. That is not the superficial symptom causing me to seek a lung x ray for after 18 months of difficulty of breathing, post covid. The mansplaining audacity was high with this one.) Phrases I was verbatim told, "you're all being lied to", "vaccines don't help minimize covid infection symptoms", & "vaccines don't help with viral transmission [reduction]". We all expect to hear conspiracy theories from Qanon cult followers or our less educated friends who "do their own research" via Reddit threads, but the medical field is the one place we should be safe from misinformation. There is no excuse for their staff to not be better vetted. It's dangerous. Ranting about scientifically disproven vaccine conspiracy theory while on the job in a medical field is malpractice. The safety of the patients are at risk here as long as we remain in a global health crisis. On another business operational note : My referring doctor instructed me to make an appointment. I called ... they said they are walk in only & would not allow me to make an appointment. Upon arrival they ask if you have an appointment, and if you do not, make you wait 90 minutes. Parking is not complementary or validated for the time you wait. My total visit was 2 hours long for something I had tried to make an appointment with but wasn't allowed. Long wait times is pretty standard regardless of what type of insurance insurance you have, but my tolerance ends with lack of safety related to medical practice. I highly value education and science when it comes to safety of my body and public health guidelines backed by hard proven science. Having someone (even though I get radiologists are far from doctors) not have a basic understanding of how polio got eradicated is highly concerning when they hold the power of your medical future. I would not recommend going here for imaging needs if you have options. read more
