Terrible Billing Practices & Unprofessional Behavior -- BEWARE!…read more I had an extremely disappointing experience with Women's Imaging Center and Dr. Morris-Chong's office. We were charged $250 up front for a screening that our insurance, Blue Shield, confirmed was covered 100%. Blue Shield was shocked that this facility charged us the way they did. While billing mistakes can happen, the real problem was how the office handled (or rather, mishandled) the situation. Even after we sent them the official Explanation of Benefits clearly showing full coverage with no copay, they continued to deny the facts, gaslight us, and insist that our insurance required payment. We had to get Blue Shield directly involved, and they confirmed not only that the visit should have cost $0, but that they had already paid the center -- meaning the office attempted to double-dip from both us and the insurance. To make matters worse, trying to get a refund was a nightmare. Front desk staff like Barbara C. dodged calls and gave the runaround, claiming she didn't handle billing and would "talk to the doctor " and that "the person that does billing hasn't been in the office at all". Really? How is that possible? After a few calls someone did eventually email us but that person did not seem knowledgeable with billing practices. After weeks of back-and-forth emails (where we were nothing but professional and polite), they agreed to refund only $160 (they confirmed they were mailing it out July 7th) -- not the full $250. Weeks passed with no check, and when it finally arrived at the end of July, it was for only $90. After that? Total silence. They completely ghosted us. Blue Shield has contacted me to encourage me to file a grievance against this practice as they feel cheated as well since they already paid them long ago and are shocked by the mishandling of their billing with our case. We have full documentation -- emails, call logs, and letters from Blue Shield confirming our position -- and are happy to share them with anyone considering this practice. This isn't about the money; it's about the principle. No patient should be treated like this, especially when already dealing with the stress of a suspicious medical finding. Absolutely unacceptable and unethical behavior from a healthcare provider. Avoid this place at all costs.

The level of care, compassion and professionalism is not only top-notch it is consistent. I have not had an MRI and 2 CT scans at Glenoaks Imaging. I am very distraught that my surgeon harmed me and cut away part of my metatarsal (foot) bone. My surgeon does not want answers, because he knows he botched me. With the help of Glenoaks imaging (including their incredible radiologists that create exceptionally thorough reports), I am able to get real answers that my surgeon can't dispute. It's only with these scientific answers that I am able to forge a path forward to try to fix my foot (which I can't walk on now). The compassion and immense care and attention to detail this team provides people, who are often under duress with a medical condition of some kind, is not lost on those of us who are suffering. As a complete asisde, a word of advise: If you are EVER in a situation where you must undergo surgery, PLEASE get THREE opinions before you go under the knife. My biggest issue was the lack of communication from the receptionist, Kim. It is very difficult to get anyone to answer the phone. When I finally got through, I was told I needed a referral. I went through the effort of obtaining one from my doctor and called back (which took 4+ attempts for someone to pick up) to book and only then did Kim inform me that the business is closed for remodeling. It is unprofessional to string a patient along, requiring referrals and multiple calls, only to reveal at the very end that you aren't even open. Please update your hours online so you don't waste other people's time. I told Kim she would have saved me 10+ phone calls, getting a referral, etc. had she said when I called the first time that she's closed and she just said Okay.

Only thing is there's valet parking only at the building and this office does not validate parking. I've been to this building before and was able to find street parking.

I have been to this location a few times in the last year or so for imaging and had ok service but this last appointment was good. I did have to wait about 30 minutes but the time went by quickly. One of the desk gals asked waiting patients if they would like a glass of water while they were waiting, she quickly obliged. When was the last time that happened to you in a medical office? The desk staff were polite and got the paperwork handled quickly. The MRI tech was polite and professional. There is generally a good vibe and good humor among all of the employees I encountered. This is a busy office yet it seems to run well now. My experience this time was better than in the past. The only problem with this visit has nothing to do with Imaging Specialists but with the parking. This building now uses Metropolis which is an awful parking system. You are forced to use it and you cannot pay with the swipe of a card or cash. Metropolis uses cameras and you must download an app or call them and go through a big hassle to pay. Metropolis has been sued and had to settle for millions for deceptive practices, overcharging, difficulty obtains refunds, big fines and now some sketchy parking company has a lot of your personal information. Just NO. The building should offer a better parking experience and so should the lot just down the street.

I asked a lot of questions and they kindly answered all of them and explained the difference between a closed MRI & open one. Also the pros and cons to their knowledge. I went for an X-ray and Brian the technician was extremely helpful, patient and knowledgeable about imaging machines. Also after further conversation, he helped me discover that the MRI I did at a previously location was not correctly done, and it was not the full doctors order. This caused me a big headache for another reason to have to go back and deal with that horrible previous facility. Truly I wish I knew about Burbank MRI first. There are some hand sanitizers available for patients to use. This place is open and available with limited capacity. They are sanitizing in between patients. I mention these things in my reviews for the sake of protecting immunocompromised people like the elderly and people sick with cancer and other illnesses. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was here in this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is pretty big, but the lot does get full very quickly since they share the lot with a lot of medical offices. Some parking spots are smaller than others, so watch out! Establishment: The establishment itself is very clean, neat, tidy, and organized. Staff: The staff here are very friendly, welcoming, informative, and funny. Seriously, from the receptionists to the MRI techs, everyone was phenomenal. I like how the MRI techs walk you through what you'll experience before the exam starts. They also have a changing room / locker room for you to change and leave your stuff in. They have a nice mini waiting room inside with a bathroom and water dispenser once you exit the main waiting room. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum, but they charge 3% if you use your credit card.

It was supposed to be a 25 minute drive but it took me almost an hour due to traffic & road construction. It also took another 10 minutes or so before I got called to the front desk, the line was too slow. THEIR FRONT DESK SYSTEM NEEDS TO IMPROVE. I was already stressed out because I fasted, was very thirsty, was in pain & was late. I don't think a patient who needs to have an important ultrasound done would purposely be late for this appt. The front desk person who helped me, right away "SCOLDED" me for being late. I was already on edge to begin with. As I was explaining why I was late even if I DID GIVE myself plenty of time, 1 hour, to get there at 2:10pm she took on this condescending manner towards me & continued to lecture me as if I were a child. She said "that's why you have to give yourself a plenty of time for the appointment." DUH!!! I live 15 miles away, gave myself an hour or so to get there. In short, appointment was cancelled. Unfortunately, sometimes s**t happens! I prepared for it, I fasted, didn't have any water & certainly did not foretell that there would be road construction & traffic. If she does not understand the nature of her job, the nature of the industry she's in, what it takes to deal with PATIENTS, perhaps she needs to undergo more training or get another job. She is dealing with people that may have a lot of pain AND or serious medical conditions, the last thing we need is to be scolded. I am not going back there and deal with rudeness. 1 star because their front desk system is/was INEFFECTIVE and since I was not able to interact with anyone else but her & IT WAS NOT GOOD.
