I had a good experience with the technicians and radiologist, but unfortunately the administrative side has been very frustrating. I was required to pay upfront estimates of $387 and $970. Anthem later processed both claims and determined that my responsibility was $0, meaning RadNet had been paid in full by my insurance. Getting the resulting refunds has been difficult and slow. When I first asked about the $387 overpayment, the desk staff repeatedly told me to file an itemized claim with Anthem, even though Anthem had already processed the claim and determined that I owed nothing. There seemed to be a basic misunderstanding of the difference between submitting a claim to insurance and requesting a refund from RadNet for an overpayment. I eventually had to speak with a manager and use the website chat multiple times. I received the $387 refund after two weeks and am still waiting for the $970 refund. Scheduling has also been problematic. I left four messages over 10 days trying to reschedule a biopsy and never received a response. A call to the central number resulted in another voicemail, which also went unanswered. Finally, my procedure report contains a factual error: it says I was positioned prone, when I was seated throughout the procedure. My physician reported the error to RadNet two weeks ago, but it has not yet been corrected. I recognize that these are separate administrative issues, but together they have significantly reduced my confidence in RadNet. There was such an obsession trying to figure out who was at fault for not sending my records by the time of my appointment came, for at the end they needed to contact I.T. to help them view all of my images and tell my doctor. TO JUST REALIZE THAT THEIR RADIOLOGIST FELT OVERWHELMED WITH THE AMOUNT OF WORK HE HAD TO DO AND MISDIAGNOSED ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So not just their front desk staff was unqualified, but also their "radiologist." The owner replied to my review on Google, but then deleted it so they don't truly care to even remedy this. If this happened to me, I don't even want to know how older patients deal with this. This office has zero empathy for patients, and the whole office is so weird, dirty, and janky. I have experienced repeated administrative failures at this facility that significantly disrupted my care. I am genuinely concerned for other patients who may be facing a serious diagnosis and have their care delayed because of mismanagement. On multiple occasions, I received little to no notice that my appointment could not proceed because the office had not received the correct referral documents from my doctor. On one occasion, I rearranged my work schedule and drove in, only to be told upon arrival that my appointment was being cancelled, despite the fact that I had uploaded the referral document to their patient portal the week prior. No one had verified it. I have spent hours on hold with both Breastlink and my doctor's office trying to resolve similar issues ahead of other appointments. One fix could be for staff to emphasize to patients that verified referral documents are required or appointments will be cancelled. This would eliminate last-minute cancellations for both patients and staff. When appointments are cancelled and rescheduling takes weeks, that is lost time for people who may urgently need treatment. Referral mismanagement at a breast imaging center is not a minor inconvenience, it can have devastating consequences for patient outcomes. I would not recommend booking at this location. read more

After my first ever mammogram at Breastlink Pasadena, I was called in for a follow-up mammogram and ultrasound to check out a couple of suspicious areas. Like another reviewer mentioned, the Mean Girl receptionists gave me flack for being "late" - I was actually a few minutes early after fighting through rush hour traffic on a workday and there was no one else in the office so I'm not sure why the lecture was needed! It set a bad tone for what was already a stressful experience. Once the ultrasound was completed (the mammogram tech unfortunately was quite rough and the process was painful) I was ushered back to a waiting room with other women scheduled for the same procedures. One by one, every other woman in the waiting area was called in to speak directly with the radiologist about their results and next steps. I was the only one who wasn't. When the nurse called my name, she told me the doctor was "busy with a procedure" and would call me by 5pm that day to discuss the results. No one ever called. I also never received the results letter they said would be mailed. Foolishly, I assumed this meant my scan was clear and no further action was needed. Three weeks later, I got a random call from a RadNet customer service rep, asking when I'd like to schedule my biopsy! Umm, excuse me?! That was the first time I even knew a biopsy had been recommended. I had never spoken to a doctor, never seen a report, and had no explanation of what they found or what the procedure would involve. I called Breastlink (it went to voicemail) and demanded to hear from a qualified doctor or nurse re: my test results. I received a call from a receptionist, who said that giving results over the phone "wasn't their policy", as if their employee hadn't specifically told me she would call me. I told her either the employee had lied to me in that case, or they didn't know their own policy, because I didn't receive the service that every other woman there had received. She made no apology and told me I'd just have to make another appointment with my gyno (who is NOT a breast specialist or radiologist) to explain the results. This makes zero sense! Despite my misgivings, I made a telehealth appointment with my gyno as recommended, only to find out they hadn't sent her the results (despite telling me over the phone that they had). Because of this, she was unable to refer me, and my $150 appointment with her was a complete waste of time and money. Without any other options, I contacted my GP (who had no available appointments for 4+ weeks) and pleaded with her to refer me to a breast specialist for the recommended biopsy. I also had to manually send her the lab results because Breastlink still hadn't sent them (a full month after the diagnostic ultrasound and mammograms had been completed). So, due to Breastlink's incompetence, what should have been a somewhat simple process ended up taking 2+ months, hundreds of wasted dollars, and an obscene amount of unnecessary mental and physical stress. I wouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemy. If you are looking for competent, compassionate care, steer far far away from this place! read more

First time here. Checked in at 10:30 and now is 1:45 and staff didn't get the imaging and blamed me for not receiving. Really? I showed the image from my phone and was told they need to receive it from doctor's office. I called the doctor's office and was told the image was sent long ago. The staff here are so 'Un-trained' and don't care about patients and their time. The 'white young girl' here likes to give attitude to patients and blame them for her own failures. The machine pressed on my boobs so hard I think it caused internal damage. Watch out & Stay away from here!!! read more

I don't understand the poor reviews that almost deterred me from making a screening mammogram appointment here but wanted to post my experience since it was nothing but positive. I was in and out within 36 mins (calculated automatically by the easy underground parking). $3.60 for first hour of parking which is very reasonable for that area of Pasadena. Check in was quick and since I'd done my paperwork online, just waited to get called in. Gowns, lockers, equipment was all clean, new, well-kept. This was the first time I went to this location. They made a same day appointment and got me into a Special Procedure within a couple of days! I'm a bit of a "nervous Nelly" ...Sarah C. an ultrasound tech followed up with me even though my session with her was complete she went the "extra mile" to put me at ease! Talar in Mammography was the sweet ever and did everything she could think of to listen to me and give me suggestions to calm my fears! Definitely come here and work with these two. Stay Away from this place! This was my first time here and never again. They took payment up front and charged me for both a followup mammo and an ultrasound (even though they are preventative procedures and fully covered by insurance). The technician, who was absolutely wonderful, informed me that an ultrasound was unnecessary. I told the front desk person, who cancelled the original charge and then told me that I owed the same amount for just the mammo. She gave me a ton of helpful information and was so communicative and lovely. Unfortunately, the experiences I've had with their billing department since then have been so, so bafflingly awful and dehumanizing that I reached my limit and need to find a new facility. I had to make an appointment for a biopsy for my breast and this place was the earliest so I took the appointment. The day before I started reading there reviews and got scared and worried about the amount of time I would spend there and how others were treated. But I have to say I was surprised and didn't see any of the stuff everyone was writing about. The time waiting in the waiting room was ok, you sign in, wait, they ask you to fill out paperwork, wait and then pay so about 30 mins all together. I was greeted by a young girl which walked me through it all and than took me to the room to prep me for the doctor ( wish I can remember her name ) she was great and so was the doctor. Explained every step to me which they were doing the procedure and keep asking if I was ok. Doctor said some jokes to make me laugh which I love how happy he is coming in to do his job, and I was his first patient. I have use Radnet centers in Burbank and Glendale and they were awful. This is the first time that I even knew there was a Breastlink in Pasadena. The office was clean and big the staff were friendly and the back area was also very presentable. The technician that did my exam was very nice and professional. I will definitely be making my appointments to this location in the future, It is also very close to my home. The only thing that I personally don't care for is when making appointments we are routed out of the country to make the appointment, but I believe that's Radnet not Breastlink. read more

The worst! I had to go a 2nd time bc they messed up my first appointment. I had to pay over $500 which makes no sense bc I have insurance but they were too lazy to bill my insurance so I had to pay. I don't know why there are so many bad reviews. The location was immaculate, the front office staff were friendly, kind, fast & efficient. The rad tech was incredibly helpful, gentle, comforting and made me feel like she was invested in making my experience as positive as possible. I couldn't recommend it more! I can't imagine going anywhere else from now on. They offered a new technology using AI which I am looking forward to using. Breastlink Pasadena should come with a warning label: "Arrive 20 minutes early or don't bother showing up at all -- because we won't see you and we definitely won't care. "I had a 3:40 appointment, left work early, fought through traffic and rain (for the first time this year!), and still showed up exactly at 3:40 -- right on time. But apparently, at Breastlink, "on time" is considered late. Perhaps schedule me at 3:20 then -- or better yet, don't offer 3:40 if you're incapable of honoring it. I called three times when I couldn't find the place, and no one answered. When the receptionist finally decided to pick up, she had zero compassion, zero accountability, and a full of nasty attitude. She clearly didn't know how to do her job -- kept putting me on hold to ask for help -- and still somehow managed to be rude about it. This wasn't a nail appointment; it was a mammogram. Being under 40 and sent for one is nerve-wracking enough without being met by a front desk that treats you like an inconvenience. Really negative 100 stars, but wasn't an option. Had a horrible experience at this location!!!! Been to other Breastlink offices but this one was horrible! I had a mammogram 1 week ago and was called back to have another mammogram and ultrasound. When I checked in the staff member said I need to pay 97.00 today. I said I don't have the money, but I will next week when I get paid. Staff member said she'll talk to someone. I sat down. Got called up and another staff member said, " Do you have a question? " I said, no. Then she said I need to pay all money due before the appointment. I said I don't have the money but will next week. This is an unexpected expense and don't have the money. She then said, "Do you want to reschedule?" Then I asked if we can go somewhere private. I said this is a recheck and I am nervous about it, and is this more about money than healthcare? She said the appointment setter should have told me that the amount would be due at the time of the appointment. But, I told her they did not. She then said she'll go talk on the phone to her boss. She asked me to go in the waiting room. I asked if I can stay in the back, it's embarrassing to keep going back and forth. I waiiiiitttteeeddd forever standing by the door. Over 15 mins, finally a nurse asked if I needed help. I told her they may not see me because I didn't have 97.00 today. A patient over heard it and said she'd pay for it. Finally the staff member said they will proceed with the mammogram and ultrasound. Never ever will go to this location. Wasn't there for fun and games! Have no more paid time off.
