Before I get into the bad stuff , the front desk Women are sooo friendly and sweet. They are the only reason I didn't totally lose it today. The male radiologist volunteered severe vaccine misinformation / conspiracy theories that have long been debunked by top scientists *worldwide*, who's specialties are immunology and virology. I understand radiologists don't have an undergrad degree nor go to med school, but if they are working in the medical field they should understand that their 2 year technical training is not the same thing as a lifetime of scientific studies... therefore please keep conspiracies silent and listen to the way more qualified & certified scientists above you. This is not to disrespect his education, but simply about knowing your place to speak on topics you are undereducated about. Radiologists who don't have a basic understanding of viral transmission reduction post vaccination related immunology should not work in the medical field in the time of a global pandemic. I asked the radiologist to not engage further as it was the only way I could maintain respect and diplomacy for what I was hearing. A part of me is nervous my x ray will be compromised for requesting him to stop engaging. He additionally suggested my lung / breathing problems post covid were due to mask wearing as if the general population is not aware of basic understanding that a mask decreases oxygen access. (Yes, we all have basic life understanding & common sense. If you wear a mask it is harder to breathe. That is not the superficial symptom causing me to seek a lung x ray for after 18 months of difficulty of breathing, post covid. The mansplaining audacity was high with this one.) Phrases I was verbatim told, "you're all being lied to", "vaccines don't help minimize covid infection symptoms", & "vaccines don't help with viral transmission [reduction]". We all expect to hear conspiracy theories from Qanon cult followers or our less educated friends who "do their own research" via Reddit threads, but the medical field is the one place we should be safe from misinformation. There is no excuse for their staff to not be better vetted. It's dangerous. Ranting about scientifically disproven vaccine conspiracy theory while on the job in a medical field is malpractice. The safety of the patients are at risk here as long as we remain in a global health crisis. On another business operational note : My referring doctor instructed me to make an appointment. I called ... they said they are walk in only & would not allow me to make an appointment. Upon arrival they ask if you have an appointment, and if you do not, make you wait 90 minutes. Parking is not complementary or validated for the time you wait. My total visit was 2 hours long for something I had tried to make an appointment with but wasn't allowed. Long wait times is pretty standard regardless of what type of insurance insurance you have, but my tolerance ends with lack of safety related to medical practice. I highly value education and science when it comes to safety of my body and public health guidelines backed by hard proven science. Having someone (even though I get radiologists are far from doctors) not have a basic understanding of how polio got eradicated is highly concerning when they hold the power of your medical future. I would not recommend going here for imaging needs if you have options. read more

Im very pissed that they didn't tell me the doctor wasn't there. I did my ultrasound and on the day I was supposed to get my results, they told me that nobody looked at them. Never. They apologize but I don't actually care about apologies. I'm concern and scared and now I need to wait another day and a half hoping to have them. It's unbelievable that they have only one doctor. Refused to release MY records after having an X-ray done for a back injury. They said I had to get it from my dr. Well my drs office was closed and I had no way to reach them and I was IN PAIN and in need of the record to show to the urgent care dr to help me as I did not want to have to PAY AGAIN FOR THE SAME TEST THE NEXT DAY! During my appointment the receptionist was coughing all over the place, clearly sick. You need to stay home if you are sick when you work in the medical field or at least wear a mask so you don't infect others! Also they do not pay for parking! Which is ridiculous I do have to say the xray tech was GREAT. That's why I give 2 stars instead of 1- Everything else needs work. read more

Unprofessional from start to finish. Their admin/front desk dropped the ball on following up with me after my MRI referral was sent (it was sitting on their desk for weeks and I had to call to get things moving). Worst of all, on the day of my MRI (which required me to take a day off of work), I call to tell them that I'm on my way, only for them tell me that their MRI is now broken and they would have to call me to reschedule at some undetermined date. I had to call them minutes before my appointment for them to tell me the machine was broken and my appointment was cancled. Don't you think that once you know the MRI machine is broken you would call the patients on the schedule to reschedule? I was supposed to receive a call from the manager the following day which never came. I myself am a clinican who will no longer be referring patients to Madison out of embarrassment for having to put my patients through such a poorly run operation. I will also be following up with the ENT who initially referred me to discouraged them sending their patients to this imaging center. If giving the option, try and go to Huntington-Hill Imaging Center on Fair Oaks instead. read more

The office staff had to reschedule my appt due to their issue. I spoke with Melissa who was unprofessional and wouldn't let me( the patient) speak. They didn't acknowledge that they were inconveniencing the patient's time and work schedule. If you look at their other poor reviews, the ofc manager doesn't respond ( she selectively only responds to 5star reviews). This shows they are not interested in improving how they treat their clientele. read more

Coming from Whittier, a long drive away, I was very skeptical to go to this place after reading the reviews but i needed an x-ray stat. The receptionist were extremely helpful and kind. I seen a review stating they were rude and didn't speak English but i did not experience such. It is cold inside like any medical office i have been to but they will actually provide a blanket if you ask, which i found was extremely considerate. Everyone was very kind, especially considering it was 4pm..if you know what I mean! I absolutely loved the service and would highly recommend this place. Ps. Came here after being referred by my Dr for a simple hand x-ray. Tech was friendly enough, and everything was fine. My gripes are with the administrative and billing dept of this practice. While my insurance covered the majority of the cost, i had a small remaining balance of $30. Fast forward 3 months, i receive a phone call to call a number to settle the balance. Turns out they tried to send the bill to my address but did not include the unit number and thus was at the stage of sending it to collections. I called in and the lady told me that because they had no way of contacting me that they had to resort to using a collection agency. Strange that you called me to let me know I had a balance due and lectured me that it was 3 months past due for your clerical error, but also that you had no way of contacting me during these 3months, even though you just called the PHONE NUMBER i provided to tell me that it was going to collections. Prime example of incompetent admins who have a IDGAF attitude. read more

I would like to put 10 Stars for Michael who helped me today for my MRI. I got scared when entering the MRI machine and Michael had to bring me out about 3 times. Michael talked to me and insured me that everything is going to be ok and that he will be there the whole time. Michael went above and beyond to make sure that I was ok and he kept checking on me and it made me feel very comfortable. I was able to get the MRI done thanks to the great service Michael did. Went to have my finger x-ray'd after being referred here by Urgent Care. I sat and read the reviews of this place while waiting for my turn. I have to say, I had a pleasant experience. From checking in, to the x-ray tech, everyone was very friendly, and I was in and out in about 25 minutes without an appointment. It is located in the basement of the building, but I didn't feel like i was in a basement. The only thing I didn't really like about my experience is that the music was loud in the waiting room, and it kept cutting in and out, which was quite annoying as I sat trying to read my book, so I knocked off one star. Plus make sure you have cash for parking, as they do not validate your parking. read more

Love this place, every time I come in for my self , with my girlfriend or for my mother. The staff is always welcoming and understanding. But most part the warm feeling we receive is the best feeling to get out of a radiology location. I've been going to Madison Radiology for a few years and had no complaints - in fact they were were really helpful seeing me on a walk in basis. But my last two visits this year were both so bad that I've found a new place to go for my mamagrams/ultrasound. First visit the mamogram caused me a lot of pain and I told the tech that it was hurting me but she didn't make any adjustments to the pressure. I had pain on my left side for almost 3 months and even now 6 months later, there is still some numbness. I've resigned myself to the idea the damage may be permanent. On my follow up visit I had two scans and between the first and second one, the first tech sat me down in the hallway and proceeded to have a 20 minute conversation with the next tech right in front of me while I sat there waiting. Total disregard for my comfort in the first instance and my time in the second. I won't go back. I only gave them two stars because in the past they were good and the front desk staff was helpful, but the last two techs I had were just awful. read more

Avoid at all costs! I was three hours into an upper GI study (xrays every 15 minutes after drinking some chalky liquid) when they all of a sudden took someone else into my room while I was walking the hallway between xrays (as requested). Not only did they not sanitize the room for that other patient they slid in there (I had been unmasked due to the necessity of needing to first drink the barium liquid, but then also all throughout needing to drink water; they didn't clear out any of those contaminated containers, nor did they wipe down the xray table or even change out the pillowcase on the pillow). AND WORSE, ALL OF MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS WERE IN THERE... my purse, my wallet, my ipad, my iphone, etc. I had to wait for them to finish that patient to get back in there. And then I had to insist they sanitize the room before we resumed my study. Once I realized the rest of my study was going to be back and forth between this other patient and I, I halted my study and left THREE HOURS INTO A FOUR-SIX HOUR STUDY. All that time wasted. The entire study incomplete and yet they treated it as complete and billed accordingly. read more

My daughter needed an MRI after experiencing a seizure, so of course, we were very worried. The tech, virtually without a word of explanation, strapped her into the machine, left the room, hit the button and turned his back on her completely. She couldn't move, couldn't get out of the machine and he couldn't see her. He looked at photos of naked girls on Facebook the ENTIRE HALF HOUR it took for the MRI to be completed. He had TWO JOBS -- press the button to start the machine and KEEP AN EYE ON THE PATIENT, who is scared, vulnerable and ill. He failed and should have been fired immediately. He wasn't, so the next time you go to Madison Radiology? Specifically ask for a technician who will KEEP AN EYE on you and report him if he doesn't. Bastard. read more

I went to my Doctors office because I noticed a lump in my breast. My Dr made an urgent referral to have a mammogram done. The referral was provided to Madison Radiology. I called for the appointment and they refused me. I had to call the Dr's Office back and they had to RESUBMIT the referral to another facility. This could have been avoided. Obviously, I am not going to Madison Radiology. read more

I went to Madison Radiology for the first time on Thursday to have two different ultrasounds. I was in and out in about 30 minutes. My technician, Penny, had an excellent beside manner, and explained everything as she went along. I've seen that a lot of other have had negative experiences here, so hopefully my recent experience means that they're listening, and that they've cleaned up their act. read more

I almost didn't go to Madison Radiology after reading the negative yelp reviews here, but I'm glad I went because they did a great job. I had no problems with the front desk staff. My appointment began on time. The X-ray tech named Luis was excellent and helped me understand each step of the process for my barium swallow x-ray and I had zero anxiety. RUN away from this place. I wouldn't trust my health and medical records here if this was FREE. If they aren't organized enough to handle a simple mammogram appointment, I'm not sure what they are able to do correctly. 1. Went in to get an appointment with a Dr.'s referral and they said they had a cancellation and could see me in 15 minutes. In 20 min I was sent in back to undress and wait for technician. After 25 minutes, I checked with front desk to remind them I was waiting and was told someone would be right with me. Parking meter was expiring so ten minutes later I dressed and left, making another appointment on the way out. 2. Official second appointment. See above: The SAME thing happened. Someone with an accent I could barely understand called me a couple days later to apologize (I think), so I made another appointment for two weeks later, ensuring that it was the FIRST appointment of the day. 3. Was called a couple days prior to appointment and was told tech would be out (apparently they only have one person who can do this in the whole facility) the day of my appointment, only when they left the day and date on the message it was incorrect and didn't match. Note that on either of the first two appointments was the facility busy at all. From what I overheard of the staff while spending my total hour in the dressing room was that they were way more concerned with their personal lives, lunch, etc. than their job, or especially, taking care of waiting patients. I've shared this story with several friends and colleagues, some who have been here before with similar experiences. They have steered me to a new place for a mammogram. If there is something amiss, I wonder if the two months I spent waiting for appointments at Madison Radiology would be the difference between life and death? read more

Avoid this place for MRI at all cost! No star deserved for my terrible experience. on 9/18/14, I had an appalling experience with the stocky, nasty MRI technician SID. I myself am a seasoned Wharton MBA alumni with both parents being physicians. I have never come across a medical staff treating patients with such malice. The wait time for my MRI was over an hour even with the appointment. I suffer from "failed back syndrome" post spine discetomy and my back was already in severe pain after sitting for over an hour. The reception had left for the day so I had to ask the stocky MRI technician SID how much longer I needed to wait. SID was extremely rude from the beginning. He completely ignored my question and told me I should not be around his sitting area. It is important to note that he had his back turned on the patient in the MRI room and was not even monitoring at the time. SID addressed my Hispanic caregiver as "your son". I don't consider my look is so aged to have a twenty-year old son. When I finally got into the MRI room, I don't have a case for my glasses and he wouldn't let me to leave on the stand of the MRI room which I always do. He told me to leave my glasses to my young helper who is constantly texting, which I refused. There is no locker or SID never bothered to show me one. SID started to question my back medical history in the MRI while I was standing still without any back support and physically I was not able to do so. There was no chair and he wouldn't let me lie down first to finish answering his questions due to severe back pain. SID called me "being difficult" out right when I asked to lie down first. As a matter of fact, he has terrible manners and was extremely difficult. He cut me off in the mid of my answers to his questions of my back conditions. To punish me for refusing to be treated like a criminal, he maliciously handed over two tightly twisted earplugs in long thread shape. I had many MRIs done over the year but never seen earplugs in such shape and thought it was some new weird design. The noise from MRI machine feels like thousands of cars going by as the earplugs didn't have time to bounce back fully to block the noise. The continuous loud pounding sound on my ear drum was so unbearable that it felt like a torture. I couldn't breath and I am not even claustrophobic. During the test, I asked SID to stop twice and he never responded. After the test, I told SID the earplugs were not blocking the noise and asked him if he had heard my requests to stop for a break. He admitted he did but claimed he wanted to rush through since I was in pain. If he understood my pain, he wouldn't insist for me to stand still without any back support and would not let me lie down and continue to answer his question. Or he could have asked those questions when I had my back brace on right outside of the MRI room. NO, he twisted the plugs like matchsticks on purpose and wanted me to suffer! He intentionally did not stop and maliciously let the noise torture me since I would not let him treat me condescendingly. Even my caregiver considered him a rude person. Some MRI places play music on your earphones and I rested even dozed off before. In all my other MRI tests, the technicians will check with you over the intercom during the process. I never had earplug issues and never request the test to be stopped. This is a horrible experience. I absolutely agree with other patients on yelp review that this nasty technician SID just hit the button and completely ignored you. What's worst is the maliciousness in twisting the plugs to stick shape so you will suffer! All other labs play music or check on you multiple times during the test through intercom. I will file a formal complaint with the owner for such malice and unethical behavior to intentionally harm the patient. read more

i love this place, everyone is so friendly from the scheduling department ( evelyn) that took care of my authorizations to the front desk & techs, i have been there over 5 times and every experience is better than the last. everyone i speak to goes out of there way to help. the office manager is very nice and helpful, i saw her took her time to help someone who couldn't understand his preparation. she did not rush him to get him out of the way but went beyond expectations to make sure he understood his preparation. this made me feel so great and i felt, i was not just a number in their office but a human. i will recommend 100% . love madison radiology. read more

I would have been happy to give Madison Radiology a 5-star review based on their initial service, but the billing and follow-up has been absolutely horrendous. I was referred here to get an X-ray done for chiropractic. The office was clean and they did a fine job with the X-ray. Fast-forward a few months and I have not received a bill. I called Madison Radiology who bounced me back-and-forth with their billing a few times before I found out that they had my phone number AND mailing address incorrect in their system. (Despite this, they never called my alternative number, which was correct.) They then told me that someone would call me back later in the day to resolve the bill. After she did not call for a few days, I called back and was connected with the office manager who informed me that the address was correct in the system and that I was taken to collections. I then immediately called the collections agency, who again had the incorrect address and phone number, and who took my payment. Now I'm on the phone with the credit agencies to get this off my credit so I can be able to move with my wife, as we planned, here in just a couple of months. Absolute disaster.
